begins with two idealistic and bold men. I would say that they were best friends at some point they believed they could create something that no one else could. They believed they could simulate life. like no other and through this fun humanity with a park and allowing people to be what they most want to be.

I'm talking of course about Ford and Arnold, we know that Ford was a troubled young man who found solace in his alcoholic father within the pages of In a Storybook, it's not quite clear when he and Arnold first met. , but we know that Arnold had a son and a wife whom he loved very much. They started something called the Argos initiative and spent countless months building the hosts together in a park. They created the first one. Host generation Dolores being the farmer's daughter and Old Bill the town drinker, they had a handful of engineers working for them, but Arnold mostly kept to himself, an introvert who enjoyed time with the hosts more than other members. of his team, that was true.

With the exception of a dear old friend, Ford, they worked long nights and respected each other greatly. At first he wanted them to be as real as pasta because that was his and Ford's mission, but in this era. They were also running out of funds and of course his son was dying.

He heads straight to Ford because he doesn't want to open the park. , but Ford was aware of his affinity for Dolores over the years and thought that the loss of Charlie was making him think irrationally as he looked at things. in the hosts who were not really there and finally rejects the requests of his partners, the money men were already involved and Ford had dreamed of opening this park all his life. He thinks maybe he could be talking about the loneliness in his life, the helplessness that he felt. As a child in his father's world would no longer exist, he would create his own and this stubbornness eventually leads to Arnold's death.

He needs to take drastic measures to prove that the hosts were really alive. He lost his son, his wife and went crazy. trying to create life again only to realize that no one was listening and only to realize that his new child Dolores would one day be subjected to the worst that humanity has to offer his companion and potentially only friend in the world, he thought. that he was crazy, the only human being. The friend he had left behind thought he had lost his way and Arnold was defeated, exhausted by a life that dealt him blow after blow.

He needed a way to prove that the hosts were alive or shut down the project permanently to avoid torture. Of his creations three years after they began, Arnold ordered the massacre of all the hosts in the park and the execution of himself just for wanting to be with his son again. Because of William's actions, he had tried everything possible to make his family see the villainy that William truly was. He tried desperately to convince his sister and when that failed, he did the same with his niece only to be scorned as the drug addict. The guy who didn't know any better, Logan would die six months after his last conversation with his father and from a drug overdose, he was completely depressed. I have to imagine how lonely William's disgraced son, brother, uncle and all that started because he must have been, he died alone believing that Delos would be the beginning of the end of humanity and, based on what we have seen so far, probably in this moment Logan and James Delos are dead, but William keeps his end of the deal and tries to get it.

James meets him again at a secret outpost in the Western world and discovers that he was not ready yet, that they were making little progress, because two knew this was happening and believed that a human mind could never be successfully mapped onto a host body. after. Witnessing the failed attempts with James Delos, he saw that his mind in the forge was stable, he simply could not place himself in a host body. It was then that he began using the crib to build Bernard a host that would be built from memories of his best moments. friend and Dolores' memories of working countless hours together when the park was being developed, she knew that Arnold would never be reborn, but that a host body built in his image would be as close to reviving his body as humanly possible with the crib and the of Dolores.

Now it can be argued that Ford could have planned that, knowing that you know everything he knows, knowing what needed to be done to ensure Parkes' self-destruction as efficiently as possible, allowing the hosts their only chance at freedom, but no one could be sure.

I think it's cool to think of him like you know the omniscient God in this world that you know could have done that or maybe his death was just an unfortunate side effect. William, heartbroken over the death of his wife, confronts his daughter who is withdrawing from her life because she directly blamed him for her mother's death, and then returns to the park to watch. If he really was the man everyone thought he was, after all, he was very successful in the real world, he founded foundations that helped other people and he was a self-proclaimed philanthropist.

He needed to see if he was the man he could kill indiscriminately and not. He feels remorse like all humans, he probably considers himself the good guy, so imagine when a machine tells you otherwise and tells you that you were less than and that your wife was so afraid of you that she commits suicide to escape. He was bothered by this mark of himself and makes one last stop to see James Delos before beginning his final journey, telling him that his son had died and that his daughter had committed suicide and leaves without rebuilding him, he is left in a state maddening of this pain, we have a good number. of signs that point to William's final journey being like his own Death March, he himself admits that he has no intention of leaving this place and then looks for a game that has a real risk, something where he could die, he goes to Mave and her tests showed that she was able to kill a mother and daughter without much thought, but it also made her see that spark of life that she once saw in Dolores.

She says the phrase to Maeve and this begins her journey to consciousness, except she has a helping hand because Ford programs Maeve so that she wakes up so she can escape to the real world later. He also regains control of Charlotte by blaming the woodcutter on Teresa, forcing her to reinstate Bernard at this time. Elsie is also getting too close for Ford's comfort and he has Bernard kidnap Elsie and leave her in this cave. which also serves as a secret entrance to one of the Delos outposts. This is done on one of his many off-screen trips to the forge where we learned he had been going to design the valley beyond. Ford realized that Akita deserved freedom just like the other hosts did, but he knew that Akita and the others didn't really fit into his plan, they wouldn't be as successful in getting out of the park as, say, Maeve or Dolores, but they deserved it. freedom anyway, so he had Bernard to program the valley beyond into a virtual world where they could exist free of all threats, be whatever they wanted to be while all that was happening behind the scenes.

William searches the park for signs of this maze and comes to the story of Wyatts, the only character. He hadn't met in all those years and you know, he starts to meet more and more characters that he doesn't know, making him believe that he is in the labyrinth and that he is currently taking paths that will take him to the center, but as he we know. It turns out that Dolores is Wyatt's and the labyrinth is not for humans after he discovers this, Dolores kicks his ass and now remembers who she is, but she loses the overall battle, then Teddy saves her and they continue the journey.

The Rebellion of the hosts and their consequences The hosts begin to attack all humans and high-level investors. Board members Bernard and Charlotte escape together into the night and arrive at an outpost where they learn that Peter Abernathy did not leave the park they refused. send additional people because of this for fear that data will be destroyed in the process. William manages to survive by hiding under corpses and Dolores hunts down the remaining people, conspiring with Angela to return to the Mesa, taking the technicians hostage to adjust hers. statistics and make repairs when necessary Maeve takes Lee Sizemore due to her knowledge of the park and begins searching for her daughter.

Akita finds Ford and realizes that Death Bringer is here and that he must lead his people to the valley beyond to leave this world behind. Bernard and Charlotte begin to track down Peter Abernathy using the mesh network of hosts that each of them are a part of and Ford's young host tells William about this new set of doors. Now it's not exactly clear how this game was meant for him, but He then goes to find his old friend Lawrence and realizes that he just needs to burn this place to the ground again, giving the credits the idea that he just wants to be done with it. with this world and perhaps even fearing a fate similar to James.

He says that people are not destined to live forever as he once believed when he created the forge. The painful Teddy and Angela discover that more than 800 men are coming and realize they need more men to escape the new commission of a recently murdered Confederate. the elder's trust here and they traveled together to fortify the desperate hope as he hopes to prove his worth to the leader there to get more men. It is here where he meets Bernard, who is captured along with her father, he asks Bernard to fix him and her. she remembers Arnold, the man she looks like but recognizes that she is nothing like him.

Mave Lee and Hector, traveling through the underground tunnels, encounter the armistice. Felix and Sylvester all group up and begin the journey to the Shogun world. Charlotte gathers a small force and they storm a fort. desperate hope together as npcs lose but manage to capture Peter Abernathy and Dolores advance towards Sweetwater Bernard is taken back to Elsie during the sink and after the conversation, oh wait, you're the host who brought me here, they discover that there isa secret. Delos Outpost here, they discover that this is the outpost where he imprinted the strong conscience and where Delos had been left to undergo fidelity tests.

They have left him for some time after realizing that he was trapped and had gone completely crazy, they destroyed this host's human abomination. and before returning to Mesa, William and Lawrence are taken hostage by the Major here and finally escape when William goes on a killing spree and feels some compassion for the hosts. Emily boldly escapes from the hosts who were keeping the humans alive during the hosts. rebellion and they both travel until they cross paths, a not-so-warm welcome in a place where you can't trust who is real or not and that uncertainty will haunt William throughout this season and probably the rest of his life.

Maeve's team finishes. Captured on the Shogun world and encountering the Japanese Sweetwater, they are helped to free themselves and the dopplegangers realize something is going on here. Mave wants to help after her double kills a man who seeks to harm the Clementine equivalent she also considers a daughter. from her, they help in the attack, but Sakura is captured, they go to the people who kidnapped her, then things go wrong and end with Maeve forced to use her mesh network to order everyone to kill each other so she can escape. . ends up traveling to the sanctuary and Maeve wants them to join her on this journey to the new world, but they refuse.

Maeve could make them see, make them recognize what's really happening here, but she understands that her choice is hers while all that happens. Dolores and Teddy arrive in Sweetwater and find a train that would give them access to the Mesa. Dolores tries to make Teddy see how bad humanity is, but Teddy doesn't understand and also resists her orders and since she is doing what she needs. To do so, she decides the easiest thing to do is to simply reprogram Teddy to be her subordinate and be more aggressive. This is one of the most defining moments that shaped who Delores and Maeve really are.

Maeve refrains from using her powers to change people's minds when she is clearly capable of doing so and Dolores forcefully changes her lover's mind after a brief conversation about cows contracting bluetongue Stubbs is freed by Ghost's donation and returns to the Mesa where she meets Peter Abernathy and Charlotte after their fight at Fort Forsoln Hope she arrives in the outside world after securing the data and orders the extraction team to come look for this host pearl, they parachute to the island led by Coughlin and are brought to Mesa with the help of Stubbs. Then we get to Emily and William, who don't believe this is his daughter and think Ford is still playing with him.

They have an intimate conversation about why she is there and eventually leads her to say that he cannot commit suicide with a robot, again pointing out that this is her original purpose, they agree to return to the beach and wait for rescue, but during the night . he leaves her realizing that this sincere approach would have been a great step for Ford to use Maeve. He returns to her daughter and discovers that the new Maeve is playing the role of mother to her and before she can come to terms with what is happening, the ghost nation now arrives.

She doesn't fully remember what Akita was doing all those years ago and sees him as the bad guy while the assassins come to kill them, she runs away with her daughter and while this is happening, Lease Sizemore asks Qat for help thinking that all the hosts are about to die. kill each other, if not, kill them too. Elsie and Bernard returned from the outpost to Mesa and discover that the crib is fighting back somehow. Bernard goes in to investigate and finds Ford inside the crib and they discuss how the park is. He is now used to study the guests and eventually achieve immortality by uploading human minds into the host bodies.

It is explained that Ford's mind can function perfectly in this virtual reality, but placed inside a host body it would immediately begin to decompose. They travel back to Arnold's house and Ford believes. that Bernard wouldn't survive only that due to a carelessness he had that he now needs to merge his consciousnesses to get him back on track, they leave the crib in the same body and Bernard uploads lc4 guns while he leaves alone Bernard and Ford goes to the control room in Table and shut down all dela systems controlling the park, meaning the hosts have free rein with no systems to stop them.

He also goes on a shooting spree killing humans in his path so he can get to safety, which is where Ford comes in handy. Bernard would never have done this alone. Maeve runs away with her daughter and encounters the man in black. She uses her access to the mesh network to order her own men to shoot William several times just before she does. she kills him QA comes from behind and takes Maeve out of the fight. Now I have to think that QA are the worst people alive having lost that fight so badly and now leaving the boss, the owner of this entire park, lying here to die, Stubbs and Coughlin are back in Mesa and the fight starts when Delores does racing the train towards the Mesa by blowing up the secure entrance, they prepare for a fight, but Delores easily catches up to them and finds her father now held captive by Charlotte.

Coughlin tries to retake the Table but immediately. fails and Angela explodes the pieces of the crib and Charlotte escapes and Delores takes the control unit from her father's head. This again is the encryption key that Lee Sizemore hides while Dolores Lee is Mesa and brings Maeve to study the encryption anomaly that she allowed him to control. She welcomes with her mind while the technician dissects me if she is talking to a hut who had taken her daughter and is now protecting her on her way to the valley beyond she is telling her through the daughter not to worry that she will be taken care of. no matter what happens and all of this is a very touching moment and certainly one of the best episodes during this time.

Sizemore realizes how badly he was wrong and how terrible he feels about her role in her current suffering from the code anomaly. eventually becomes the inspiration for the zombie virus Clementine which allows the hosts to kill each other William is captured by a key cheetah who tells him that death is a passage from this brutal world and that you don't deserve that way out, lucky for him Emily arrives. to save the day and the two together go to a meeting point, she heals him and when qat arrives, thinking that this was once again another measure to stop him, he kills his daughter and the quality control staff after watching the profile in his pocket it turns out that she was real while that happens Dolores and her team encounter a ghost nation and fight each other because Dolores believes that the valley beyond is just another trap of humanity and the ghost nation believes that it is a door to yours. world Delores wants to destroy the Valley Beyond and the ghost nation cannot allow her to do so.

Dolores wins the shootout and takes Teddy away for a chat and Teddy admits that he doesn't want to be her puppet anymore, but he won't do it. She stops her because he loves her, so she takes her life while Dolores watches helplessly as she cries and then takes the control units from her and continues. The tone of these first interviews has a suspicious tone of seeking answers from the security chief. and the head of programming, who are somehow alive when so many others have died, get a reading on a large group of hosts that have been swept into this valley, the team returns to the Mesa and traverses the wreckage to find fun stuff. perfectly playing her role as Charlotte Dolores questions Bernard knowing that he was the last person who had Peter Abernathy's control unit at this point Dolores still wishes to destroy this data Carl Strands defines Coughlin and his crew dead in the map room and orders the valley to drain is huge so it takes quite a while but while this is happening they send hosts back to the Table for analysis and realize that 1/3 of them have been wiped and we know their minds have been successfully transferred to the Bureau.

His change isn't as obvious to me as what exactly caused what I mean, but the main point of season 2 was to show that the hosts could make decisions and then change their minds. that if they so desired, they were not trapped in their ways like humans were. Dolores backhands Teddy up into the valley beyond and sends him to a hidden satellite location where he will be safe for the moment. I have to wonder if the guest data is included in this because when Dolores first started the delete process it included the valley which is what caused Bernard to stop it but it only shows him canceling the operation which included both things , so I think that leaves the possibility of this data existing in the future still on the table.

I have to wonder if after the robots take over the world, they won't try to create this data and bring everyone back, meaning all the hosts could go back to living in the real world with them or maybe choose. remain where they are, but if the guests' data is there, we can receive the same invitation offered to humans, assuming that the host lords want that and have perfected this transfer of consciousness. You know, I could see a world where, say, LC exists in the still being forged and Barnard wants to rebuild her because she's one of the good humans in the world who ultimately deserves this, which brings us to the end.

Loris shoots Bernard and escapes with five host pearls. She ventures back to Arnold's old house and rebuilds her own body. and then she reconstructs Bernard using the memories she had of him and Arnold.
