Jun 09, 2021
oh there's a little greeting good people of the internet world it's your favorite abandoned warehouse sarah here with another car

review

and today i have the

2021

hyundai

veloster

n dct which means it has the new dual gearbox 8 speed wet clutch, first things first. It's strange to see a

review

of a velociran on youtube that isn't performance blue, this one is black, it also comes in red and chalk white, which is new for

2021

, but I will say that this hyundai needs to add at least two more colors to the blosser . Finish with two bold in-your-face colors like High Performance Blue, this card deserves it.

I appreciate the red accents here though on the side and continues to the side skirts, plus it's got vents on this front bumper, you can push it all out. hand in it's hot, it's an aggressive arrow, you still get the same nice LED daytime running lights along with the LED projector low beams and halogen high beams, the performance package is no longer an option on the blosser end and now it comes standard as it should because before it was a no brainer to get the performance package, basically what it included was an increase in active exhaust to 25 horsepower, variable suspension, electronic limited slip differential, as well as these two auxiliary front brake they have the little painted ends because they absolutely like these.

Fire 19-inch five-spoke wheels wrapped in 235 35 Pirelli P0 tires and a bunch of other things I can't fit into this breath, it was a lot. I didn't even notice that before there is a letter n stamped on the side skirt and there is little. Vents here too, that's really nice in case some of you are new and have never seen a blaster before. The passenger side has two doors, while the driver's side only has one, making this a three-door

hatch

back for a four-door

hatch

back. I think you know people put a lot of stock in the Civic Type R for having crazy styling, but the Veloster N is clearly a love-or-hate rear end.

I don't think there is a middle ground with this car. I am from the countryside that loves. I like the taillights, they look exotic and the rear spoiler looks like a rear diffuser, but the other way around on the roof, the Civic Type R didn't approve of this and Hyundai won't get one either. No need for fake carbon. This is cute, they hide the button under the wiper to open the hatch and it's a useful hatch, plus this thing is deep, you can fit a ton of groceries in there and there are two loud guys that knocked on the side, it's a good size for how small it is.

The car are the changes they made to the interior for the Veloster 21 and without a doubt they are the

best

updates this car received. Look at the little letter n on the seat behind me, yes it lit up when I opened the door, it's a baby blue color, I can't. It doesn't really show on camera. I have never in my life seen a car with lighted seats that gain this much, plus they are 4.4 pounds lighter per seat than last year's outgoing seat. Hello, welcome to the back seat. Legroom isn't too bad. even though I'm wearing heels, that lifts my knees up and puts them near the vents back here and as for the bolsters, it's tight, you're not going anywhere in these seats, the seat belts here are performance blue and you have your little paddles on the steering wheel. it rolls now yes, there are a lot of hard plastics here, but the gti neither and i like the interior and the gti i think it makes sense in a car like this because it's not a luxury car, you don't care about those things you care about how it works and It lights up no, no, but it would be nice if it did.
I know these passes are supposed to be for a five point harness, but I can't help but think. all the things you can do in the back seat if you want to be annoying and creepy, like smell the hair of the person in the front seat who almost fainted doing that or if they have long hair and are sitting in the front you can pull their hair hair. Drive by here quietly and then tie a knot so when they get out of the car they're sure to hit you in the face, unlike the Civic Type R I recently reviewed, this one has an old school Rip-It style e-brake.
I'm a big fan of that, you have no idea how much of a difference it makes in a car. I think if the seats are illuminated here, everything

better

be LED. Yeah, oh, there's a button on the vanity mirror light that's incandescent. There's actually nothing in the back. seat other than two cup holders for two penguins and two cup holders for two people in the back seat without USB there is a clip a speaker well that's a back seat okay bye stay back here penguin okay let's start this thanks seat belt helper robot press this end button makes it louder here we go right there right there there's what the factory civic type bar is missing all good as far as When it comes to the drive mode gauges and infotainment system, the biggest change for 2021 is the standard 8-inch.
Tablet type touch screen that has factory navigation as well as the menu system here, without a doubt, my favorite of all the vehicles I have reviewed because it is so cute and the fact that I am on the radio stations and it is like one of those little tubes from the old days that have the numbers light up and I wasn't alive back then so give me some space here, I don't know what they're called and it also has factory ambient sounds, one of the other ones. Calm sea Waves Rainy days Outdoor cafe Warm fireplace Snowy town Someone who is so crazy it actually sounds like you're walking in the snow and then your infotainment system here's your G-force meter and lap timer performance timer, you have the turbo boost pressure, the torque oil temperature and then you can select performance options inside, there you can set the rpm for your launch control, your shift indicator and U-turn tracking, which you can read what it says on the screen yourself, it's kind of a cool feature, as well as n power shift and on top of everything, this thing comes packed with a bunch of standard safety acronyms, let's take that for a snip, so something What I haven't mentioned yet that it has is another little feature on the steering wheel it's called n grin shift and when you press this little button here it gives you 20 seconds of overboost that raises the torque from 260 to 278, but only for 20 seconds, oh yeah, you definitely notice more torque with this on, yes this. makes this car a different animal oh my god this car is a beast dude I know the Civic Type R is faster in a straight line but how come it's not faster on a track?
I guess it depends on the track. The brakes are amazing. I haven't faded them and I quite like them, I don't know which I liked more, this or the Type R on a back road, it's a pretty tough decision, seriously, and then oh, there's a bit in the d cell this car It has a lot more personality than the type r I don't know, it's not as fast in a straight line but it has a lot of personality hello welcome to garage science with sarah under the hood of the

veloster

n it's hyundai 2.0 gdi 4- cylinder that produces 275 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 260 lb-ft of torque at 1450 rpm that's nice and I get a lot of grunt down there I like all that stuff in the garage you might as well poke around a little more I want to see what's under this engine cover and I'm sure many of you do too.
Oh, these things are so tight, there you go, there you go. In fact, I'm a little surprised it doesn't look too bad down here. I figured it would be a mess of vacuum lines. and wires, plastic valve cover, I have some little coil packs right there, plastic intake manifold, the diagnosis seems simple enough, but obd2 isn't interesting enough, it actually looks like a lot of fun to work on. I would like to do things with this in the name of science. Now I'm going to give this thing a boost, it's already in final mode, but I'm going to tap the paddle on the steering wheel, the checkered flag again and then it asks me to hold it for three seconds, which completely overrides the control of traction.
Now it's a custom finale and in here you can configure everything individually and also, if you

just

select one of them and go to details, it explains what it's doing. This reminds me of playing a racing game. It has launch control that may or may not be used at an activated rpm of 3100 rpm, voila, oh my goodness, it increases every time you shift, okay, that's good enough, I don't know which one is faster, those are the six-speed manuals because the shifting is like that on this thing. but it weighs a little more Hi, I have re-owned the transmission found in this Veloster and it is the new delta 8 foxtrot 48 whiskey dual wet clutch gearbox designed in-house by Hyundai.
I would insert a clip, but it's kind of buried under a giant airbox and battery and I think Hyundai wouldn't take kindly to me taking the car apart, of course it has an electronic limited slip differential, but it's a good thing they offer it now because Makes it a true competitor to the GTI, offering both. a traditional six-speed manual and a dual-clutch gearbox. Now I've reviewed the six-speed manual version. There's a link above that video if you missed it, but I will say that there is a slight downside to choosing this double. clutch gearbox because it weighs 141 pounds more than the six-speed manual version, which weighs about 63 kilograms 64. okay, it's time for the brake test, there's no one behind me, oh my god, I felt that ripped my cheeks from my face.
I know a lot of people will criticize this car because it doesn't have the pedigree of Honda, Volkswagen or Ford when it comes to making hot hatches, but I don't think that's a genuine reason to criticize the fact that Hyundai is obviously listening to the enthusiasts and giving them what they want, something many automakers have failed to do lately. It's a great daily driver when you completely neutralize everything and put it on the softest setting and then put it on eco you get great fuel. efficiency, the suspension softens up quite a bit when you do that, however I notice that if you keep it in any of the other modes and

just

lower the suspension on its own, it still feels a bit harsh, I don't know what else to say about that.
This car is amazing and I'm so glad I reviewed it again, so if you've never seen one of my car reviews before, I have several categories to rate and rate, starting with the bean score, it's a one to five bean rating. . Basically, you get your gut when you give it the beans and the end of the Veloster 21 with the dual-clutch gearbox is getting a two-bean rating, well it feels a wee bit slower in some ways than the six-speed manual version because it is heavier. he makes up for it with the speed of the turns, so he balances it out.
The next step is cookie scoring. It's a rating of one to five cookies based on what you get for what you spend and this thing has a ton of them. Because it's getting a four point eight cracker rating, it's a near perfect score due to the fact that I think the six-speed manual version is worth saving and there would be an easy five crackers, it's an incredible value for what you're getting. getting good. here on this car lastly is the penguin score it's rated from one to five penguins based on how much i personally like a vehicle and the veloster n is getting a five penguin rating to this day the veloster n is one of my favorites. vehicles I've ever reviewed, it's amazing what you get for the money and I love that there are so many strange and unique things that set it apart from all the other cars, like the whole door thing that's going on here, I mean, always I'm They solved the divide between a three-door hatch and a five-door hatch and then they put a lot of attention to details and performance features and just things to make the car nice and fun and I think it's well built as well.
Hyundai is killing it when it comes to this. little hot hatch or if you don't want to call it a hot hatch because I guess the i30n would technically be the hot hatch, but we don't understand that in America, it's a weirdo, so I like it anyway, I hope you enjoy it. this review and see you soon with another goodbye
