Today's video is brought to you by mana. We are manufacturers of exclusive accessories for Apple Watch of high quality and reasonable prices. Hi, I'm Chris, and this is a video I've been wanting to make for a long

time

to see the

best

out of shape and should. Let's say Apple, beware, we all know that the Apple

watch

tracks health, but what else can it do that is worth doing? That's what this video is about, so there will be two parts, number one will introduce you to a couple. of new

apps

that I haven't really covered before for the Apple Watch in any meaningful way, so we'll look at those and then I'll also be in the second part of this video, which will be much longer. talk about some of the

apps

I have mentioned before and whether they are still worth it or not, if they really belong on this list and how I use them, so it will be a little review, a little bit of new and a lot of very useful for you if any Once you've gone out looking for awesome Apple Watch apps, you know that they really just don't grow on trees as it's hard to find new different Apple Watches because the development just isn't there, there are a lot more Apple Watches now. apps, then there are four other smart

watch

es, the Apple ecosystem in that sense is quite large, but it is still difficult to find something really new and amazing, which brings me to the first new app that I want to share with you and it is spelled SPDR , it is not. spider is actually pronounced speeder and it's a speed reading app for your

apple

watch why is it great for me?
the best apple watch apps of all time
I love listening to audiobooks and podcasts quickly because I like to cram as much knowledge into my head in as little

time

as possible. Can my wife tell you how you can possibly understand something at those speeds? Because I hear speeds at double, but somehow I can do it and on the Apple watch I have really enjoyed speed reading using Speed Ur. It's really simple so work with iPhone app, speed or app you can also use to speed up reading and copy and paste text or import text or save it in this app and add it to your reading list, once you is there, it syncs with your Apple Watch and you hold your finger on the Apple Watch to speed up the reading, it shows you one word at a time, you can adjust the speed and there are several different settings, like the font and all kinds of things.

More Interesting Facts About,

the best apple watch apps of all time...

I left it alone, I left it where it is and it's actually once you get used to it, especially spend a couple of minutes reading an article or something and you can absorb so much information that I never thought I would be reading meaningfully on the Apple Watch and much less in speed reading. So I had a lot of fun with this one. I can't wait for you to try it. The second app I've never talked about. I don't think here on the channel it's called a lens for Instagram and what it is is an Instagram Client so you can see your Instagram feed, you can check the comments, you can watch stories or just talk about them in just a second, it has many features and it is also free for standard features.
the best apple watch apps of all time
The reason this is awesome is because Instagram got rid of the actual Instagram app for the Apple Watch, just like Twitter got rid of the official Twitter app, so being able to go in and look at your feed on this nice

apple

watch screen and being able to see comments and interact with people is really cool, now you can pay more if you want to be able to see stories, but in my opinion, stories just don't look good on the apple watch and it shouldn't be surprising that the screen sizes between the phones and those of Applewhite are totally different.

So that's something I'd probably skip if I were you, unless you're desperate, but the core experience itself, being able to even go to the Explorer tab and see some new things is really cool, so you should download it if you want. I am an Instagram user. I briefly considered mentioning a couple of Apple apps, but I think I'll do a separate video on that, so if you're interested in getting more out of Apple's official Apple Watch abs, let me know and leave me a comment. but for now we'll move on to some of the other applications that I've covered in the past in several different videos that I'll link below so you can explore that rabbit hole.
These are some of my alls. -My favorites of the time and I want to talk about how I use them, they are still good like a couple of years later, so the first one I want to talk about (I have talked about it a couple of times before) are the erasers because if there is a app that I think a third-party app that I couldn't live without and would hate to see on the Apple Watch would be dressed now. Drafts is a note taking app, it works primarily by dictation and I don't use it as My main note taking app which is Apple Notes at the moment, I've talked about it on the Apple Watch in the past but I've stopped using it.
I could also make a whole video on that, but drafts are like a backup that's always there. with me and I know that I can always, if I have an idea, write it in two drafts and send it to the inbox, which I can manage. It's great to be able to add or prepend, which basically means adding text before or after. any note that you've made or that's in your inbox, it's actually fully-featured, it's really powerful, it's always on my wrist, it's always with me, and it's always one of my top complications. I love drafts on the Apple Watch.
A second application for the Apple Watch. it's one of my all time favorites it's Nano it's a Reddit client for your wrist and it's not just a Reddit client like you would maybe expect it to be really weak on your Apple watch it's got a lot of features so for example , I can look at my home feed and just see all the content that I've subscribed to across all the subreddits all in one place, or if I want, I can go to the individual subreddits that I'm interested in and just look at them and be able to see them. my profile and there are some settings that I can change, but when I'm viewing a post I can upvote or downvote, I can comment, it's very interactive and if you press deep you'll see that you can get a variety of different options and ways to sort things, so it's a surprise that it's fully featured of course, I have mine set up to see a bunch of Apple related subreddits and I'm there all the time and it's very helpful and I can interact with the community properly. on my wrist, if you know anything about me, you know that I'm very interested in data, metrics and KPIs and being able to see patterns and see what's good and what's working, what's changed, what's not working, so numerix is an app I've talked about it before it's fantastic on the iPhone it's fantastic on the iPad it's fantastic on the Apple TV but I can't believe I can use it on my Apple Watch this is one of the most useful things for business users so its main use For me, numerix is checking my YouTube stats, so I set them up and synced them with my account and then picked four or five really interesting metrics for me that I really want to track wherever I am on my Apple Watch. and I set them up to send to my Apple Watch using the iPhone app.
Xishi is an app that I've covered that is a note-taking app, but it's actually a microbe note-taking app, it's not intended to be full-featured, no. I doubt it's really intended to be more about keeping some things here when you absolutely need to remember them and not sensitive things like you can store some sensitive things in an Apple Watch app with a password, which is great if you're into that, like the passcode. your garage. or something like that if you were going to forget that, but for this it's just for non-sensitive things that you definitely want to remember, so one of the ways I've used this a lot in the past is to keep track of how many words equal in a video .
How long will a video be? For example, I've programmed here that 6,000 words will be about 30 minutes of a 5,000-word video and my talking speed will be about 25 minutes, so I've already talked a little bit about social media. with mixes for Instagram, but let's not leave Twitter out of the picture. I also want to talk about J, which is a Twitter client for the Apple watch, he has all the features. I mean, you can watch videos on your Apple Watch, maybe it's the only way So far I've found that watching video content on your Apple Watch works very well through J, so Twitter videos play very good on Jay with sound by the way, but other than that it's great to be able to scroll through your Twitter timeline and interact with people and aside from the video, this is also great for similar images because it's a big part of the experience from Twitter, so if someone tweets an interesting image and you can't really see it fully on your Apple Watch screen, you can tap on it and then use the Digital Crown to zoom in and get that extra level of detail, which is great, so that if you click on an actual tweet, you can comment on it, which is great, you can retweet, you can favorite something and bookmark it if there is. something you want to see later on your phone on the bigger screen, you can bookmark it and come back to it, so this is really useful, really useful, really attractive, something else that is really amazing is the audible app for the Apple Watch.
It doesn't have as many features as you might suspect, but what you can do is sync one of your audiobooks to your Apple Watch and it takes a little time because it can be a large file and you need to make sure your Apple Watch is charging. standing there it's like a process but it's worth it if you want to make your phone and you can sync it, wherever you are it will stay sings Doug and so once you load an audiobook you'll be able to see the cover and obviously you can go forward or backward or play and pause , you can control a timer like a sleep timer, so if you just want to listen to it for a while, it's great to be able to have my Apple Watch with me, pick up my headphones and go somewhere and just be able to enjoy an audiobook without the phone going back to more practical side of things, although I want to talk about hindsight.
Retrospective is an app that basically allows you to track things. I talked about another app called clicker and it's pretty much along the same lines this is definitely worth a look, maybe I'll link it below if I remember, but in hindsight, apart from counting how many times you've done something, it will tell you how long has it been since That was already done, so the way I used it for a long time was like tracking medications, like I had a migraine and wanted to know when it happened or when I took some medication. I can track it very easily here. and then maybe export that data, which you can do in a CSV document and put it in a spreadsheet, so it's actually a very handy app and there's nothing better than being able to just tap something on your wrist instead of having to take out your phone. and opening something and tracking it that way, that's more cumbersome, so in retrospect it's great.
A long time ago I mentioned an app called just press record, which was an audio recording app that I no longer use now. using it not because it's bad, but because with Watch OS 6, which I've been testing, Apple's beta finally gave us real support for Apple Voice Memos, so the Voice Memos app officially came to the Watch and that's a great interface. timing very well for me. I've had some issues with just pressing record in the past so it's a lot more reliable and I use it for everything if I'm going to be in a meeting and I don't want to take notes but it's something important maybe something popped up in the moment and it's information important and I need to record it, then I'll use the voice memos app to do that last but definitely not least, we're talking about podcasts, I mentioned podcasts a little bit earlier, but I used to use Pocket Cast was my go-to.
I recommended it all the time here on the channel. It was everywhere. The problem is that it had bugs. It had errors. It just didn't work everywhere all the time no matter what, so I switched. I've also talked a little bit about this for cloudy, which I think is not as well designed maybe in the iPhone app or somewhere else, but it works, it works reliably all the time and it also works very well on the Apple Watch , so when I'm podcasting with just the watch and my airpods it's cloudy if you're looking for affordable yet stylish Apple Watch straps and cases, check out today's sponsor hand, where I've been testing out some great straps for use lately mono, ranging from a nylon strap with a very unique look to a leather strap with that timeless style, as well as a unique clasp and a metal link strap that has a more substantial feel, of course being a fan of Apple watches, I've collected a lot of straps over the years and the cute case allows me to save three favorites and charge my Apple Watch while still being able to see the face, so do yourself a favor, Apple Watch fans, and see mah nowhere today using the linkin the description now here at the end.
I will give them kindly. As a little something extra because it's not something I use all the time because I'm an Apple Music user, but I just want to mention that the last Apple Watch apps video I did, Spotify came out with an Apple Watch app, so if you're a Spotify user and you didn't know that you can grab the Spotify app for your Apple Watch and use it. Well, that's all for this video. Let me know. You thought I know this format was a little different, but send me your comments. next let me know if you want to see more Apple Watch content and you know what, let me know what you want to see on this channel in general.
