The 2019 Ford GT Is America's Insane $1 Million Supercar

Feb 27, 2020
This is a

2019

Ford GT and it is one crazy

supercar

, it has 647 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque, it will go from 0 to 60 in three seconds and reach a top speed of 216 miles per hour. Now those numbers sound like Italian

supercar

stuff, but this is the North American supercar designed by Ford in Michigan, built in Canada, priced at around six hundred thousand dollars with options and today I'm going to review it. You may remember that I already reviewed the new one. Ford GT, but it was a while ago, over two years ago, before I got as deep as I do now before 4K videos and I didn't really have much time with the car, so today I borrowed this new Ford. gt from my friend carl brauer, who just received it.

You can check out his Instagram and his website by clicking the link in the description below. He already posted some great photos with him from driving his

ford

gt, so let's go over the basics of the new

ford

. GT uses a turbocharged V6, yes just a V6 which joins the ranks of other exotic cars with six-cylinder engines such as the Ferrari Dino, Jaguar XJ220, Porsche 911 and 911 Turbo, the old Acura NSX and the new Acura NSX, but the Ford GT is above them. all with those repeating numbers 647 horsepower 550 pound-feet of torque 0-60 in three seconds a top speed of 216 miles per hour and a sticker price of about half a

million

dollars before options, those are numbers crazy and the ford gt is a crazy car now ford says they will build 1350 of these which is about the same output it's the ferrari f40 and the porsche Carrera gt.

More Interesting Facts About,

the 2019 ford gt is america s insane 1 million supercar...

Interestingly, many people who applied to buy one of these were simply turned away. Ford chose the people he wanted. buy your gt supercar based on whether ford thought people would actually use it, drive it and enjoy it and not just keep it in a collection, so today i'm going to do that first. a walkthrough of the new ford gt and i'll show you all its cool quirks and features, then i'll take it out on the road and drive it and then i'll update the dig score from the last time i reviewed it if it needs any updates and for more of my thoughts About the GT, click the link below to visit Autotrader.com Oversteer, where I've also put together a list of the cheapest mid-engine cars currently for sale on AutoTrader.

Now I'm going to start the quirks and features of the gt with the key, which is actually just a normal Ford key on the front with its normal buttons, you turn it over and it says gt, but on the front it has all the normal buttons including A baul. Button just like you would have to open the trunk of your Ford Taurus, you press it twice and then the trunk opens and then you can come back here and open it and then you have access to the storage compartment of your Ford GT, even though it's not.
the 2019 ford gt is america s insane 1 million supercar
Not just the trunk and the storage compartment that opens with the key, it's a whole large area that also contains the engine, but let's start with the trunk. What you see here is the only trunk you have in the new Ford GT. It is probably the smallest trunk on the market. The entire car industry is incredibly small. This is all the storage space you have in this car, so don't expect to take it on long trips. You can see that there are a couple of small loops inside the trunk and that is because when this car is sold.
Brand new, it comes with a small case that also contains like tire sealant, battery charger, typical things that come in a new car, but that's all the trunk you get. Now I want to talk about how to close the trunk lid, which is a bit of an unusual process because the latch that keeps it closed is not at the base or the rearmost point, but rather it's in the middle, as you can see when you go to leave it, but when you leave it, that means you don't push very far back to close it, but rather you have to push in the middle to make sure it's closed.
Carl recommends using a cloth, you push down and now it's closed and that's how you close the cargo compartment and the engine. cover on a ford gt now obviously i'm not done in that area yet because i haven't covered the engine yet so i have to open it again but before i do i want to talk about the secret way to open the cargo. cover the engine cover on the ford gt, you can do it from the key fob or there is a button inside the cabin that will open it, but it is all electronic, if you want to open it manually, there is a small hidden hole under this area of the rear bumper, next to the license plate you have to look underneath, look up and you can see there is a hidden keyhole on the 4gt.
If you detach the key from the key ring, go underneath, insert the key and turn it to manually open the engine. compartment in case the battery is dead and the electronics don't work, but anyway, getting back to this cover, I want to talk about the engine for a second. I want to start with the quirks and features you can see, starting with the fact that it says eco boost very proudly in the middle of the engine, reminding everyone that this is from Ford's ecoboost family of engines. It also says powered by Ford on the sides, which is like a nice old-school touch from older Ford models.
You can see that too. The oil cap vector says GT, all of these things combine for some very interesting elements in the engine bay. Now that I have it open and we are talking about the engine, a lot of people are wondering why this car doesn't have a v8 or v10 or v12 like most other supercars, one reason obviously is that Ford makes these ecoboost v6s and they wanted to give it a little of credibility, but it also comes down to size, if you look at the car from the back, you can see. It has this teardrop shape that starts at the front and then comes to a point at the back.
Ford knew exactly how big they wanted this body to be and they knew it would be much easier to fit a six-cylinder engine. There's a bigger v8, so that's one of the reasons this car has a v6 instead of a v8. Now the theory about the teardrop shape is that the front of the car makes a hole in the air and the rest of it slides through it, it's all about aerodynamics which is an issue on the exterior of this car and so In fact, the biggest place you can see the aerodynamics issue on this car is your angle right now because you can see into this.
The most distinctive design of a car would be these flying buttresses to channel the air as Ford wanted throughout the exterior of this car. They actually had these giant holes in the sides of the car where the air goes through these giant panels right here and it doesn't just stop there at the back, the air also goes under the wing and just continues on with these big air channels. air out the side of the car, which has to do with aerodynamics and airflow, which was a really important factor in the design of this car and the issue of these flying buttresses here, this is not just a panel, in It's actually functional, the air comes in through this giant air intake on the side of this car and then inside the flying buttress are ducts that bring air to the engine to cool it, which is a very impressive component, so this big hole in the side of the car is not only functional for aerodynamics and airflow, but you also have this panel covering the hole that has a duct inside it that functionally brings air to the engine.
Now it's another important one. The aerodynamic component of this car is the rear wing, right now it's in the down position so the whole car is flat and slippery, but it also goes up and there are several different situations where it goes up, one is if you reach a certain speed in In any driving mode the wing will go up and if you slow down to a certain speed it will go down again but the wing will also go up if you put the car in track mode, in track driving mode switch to track mode runway and the wing will launch.
It goes up and back quite quickly, so it's ready for racetrack use and produces as much downforce as possible. Interestingly, if you exit track mode, the wing does not lower back down. Ford thinks it's like a pinch hazard, you could have your hand. Here someone could go out of follow mode and then your fingers will be cut off, so instead you change out of follow mode and then you have to drive a few feet up to 15 miles per hour and then the wing will go back down, which It's a fun little touch now, another interesting thing that happens when you switch to track mode, probably the most interesting thing is that the car lowers itself, in fact you switch to trackbone and the car drops two inches to be as low as possible. terrain as much as possible to get the best possible performance on the track and not only does it descend gradually, it does so instantly now when you switch to track mode and the car has lowered it is only 41 and a half inches tall at its deepest point. high, which is a really incredible number that is really very low now, next we move to the rear of the new ford gt, which has some quirks and features of its own, starting with the brake lights, the brake lights are these big circles that look cool but also have An additional functional component in the middle of the brake lights there is a hole and through that hole the hot air from the engine is dissipated, so the engine heats up and sends hot air through the hole in the middle of the brake lights, which is really cool now.
Obviously the brake lights aren't the only circles here you also have the exhausts and I always love cars that prioritize the exhaust over the license plate and this is one of those cars now since this car has a v6 engine for a lot people. I'm wondering if this still sounds good like a V8 or a V12. Personally I think it sounds fantastic. Listen to it. Next, another interesting element on the rear is this stripe. You can see that there is a black stripe running down the middle of this particular car. that's because this car is a carbon series ford gt which is a new option for the

2019

model year it's a 70,000 option and it's designed to make the car a little bit lighter and therefore The stripe is my favorite part because it's basically just the rest of the car unpainted, that's what this car looks like under all the paint, they left that middle part unpainted so which looks like you have stripes when really it's just the rest of the car has paint on it which is a good idea now obviously for 70 grand the carbon series option includes more than just those painted stripes you also get many more things, for example, this rear panel is carbon fiber.
You can see that you also have a side panel that is carbon fiber. On the side of the car, same thing on the front, more carbon fiber, you also get carbon fiber wheels that save an impressive amount of weight and titanium lug nuts that also save a little weight, but while most of those options with carbon series The car can be ordered as regular options on the standard 4 gte. There are some options that are distinctive only to the carbon series models. One of them is the strip that I already mentioned. There is also a carbon fiber pillar only on the carbon series cars, but probably the most important component is the transparent engine cover.
In other Ford GT models it is made of glass, but in the Carbon series car it is made of polycarbonate to save weight. Now, speaking of that clear engine cover, you'll notice that it has holes in it that carl The owner told me that it's a little annoying if you're trying to wash the car because then the water gets into the engine, creates water spots and ends up looking dirty, kind of that you should keep in mind if you are washing your Ford GT now, below. move on to putting fuel in the new Ford GT, which isn't exactly the easiest thing you can do.
The fuel tank is here under the buttress. You push it in the back, it opens and then you just tilt it and that's where. you put fuel in a weird place because you're basically putting fuel over about 10 inches of the body and this air intake you really don't want to mess up and accidentally drip some fuel in, it's not exactly the easiest or most convenient place. For that fuel filler, now another interesting element here is this little black panel next to the front door. I say it's interesting because when you lock the car, it shows a picture of a lock that is locked.
When you open the car, it still shows that lock. but now part of the top is missing so now it looks like it's unlocked and you can play with it lock unlock lock unlock and you can see how that little graphic changes as you play with the locks. I like that idea, it's really cool now. Next we move to the front of the new GT, where we have one of the most distinctive lighting packages in the entire automotive business. It's this big flat piece that contains the headlights, it's so big and it's such a big focal point that Ford even put in a pretty big spotlight.
The GT logo is there only because they knew people would be checking out the headlights and it's worth checking out. I especially likeHow turn signals work when the signals are on. You can see the outer strip of lights in the lighting assembly. The turn signal and the interior one is the running light. When you turn off the turn signal, the signal disappears and that outer strip becomes an additional running light that gives this car a very distinctive look when driving down the road. Now, next is the moment you get into the ford gt and when you walk towards it to get in, it's not exactly the most obvious thing what you do, since there is no handle on the door, what you do is stick your fingers in this little blue panel. next to the door and by pushing your fingers there, the door electronically opens a little.
From there, he simply reaches for the door and opens it fully. It's actually a pretty good, relatively intuitive system. how it works now with the door up like this, a couple of interesting things in the door sill area, one is the fact that you can see this door assembly in the hinge area you can't see that on many cars and I think it looks really cool in this one, but the most important thing when moving further down is that you can see that the Ford GT also acts as a sweeper. It picks up a huge amount of road debris in this little area behind the front wheel, which is quite interesting now on the Ford GTs when they come from the factory, there's no screen here, so all this road debris gets to this area and then something like that. knock down the doors and Carl, the owner of this car, told me that a lot of the early ones were getting scratched until someone at the aftermarket made a screen that you can put in here to keep this stuff from scratching your doors when it gets full. of road debris and other grime, you simply take out the screen, clean it, put it back in, and you're ready to go before getting in the car and going over the interior's quirks and features.
I want to mention one more. article and that is in the driver's footwell area, there is a small latch, if you pull that latch it opens the front compartment on the ford gt, so what exactly is in the front compartment of the ford gt ? Well, there's no more storage space, I told him. that rear trunk is the only exterior storage you get, instead it's a little compartment, you open it with an accessory and then you can see down here there's just some service stuff, you've got windshield washer fluid, you've got steering fluid and some other things, but you won't be able to save anything up here.
This is not an additional storage compartment. In fact, I suspect most of our Ford GTs probably won't open it much when you're done, just put it back in and push it. and it's locked now, once you're inside the new Ford GT, closing the doors is pretty easy. There's this protruding piece on the alcantara covered door panel, you just pull it off, it's surprisingly sturdy and then the door closes as usual. Car doors, except you know from above, one of the first things you notice when you get into the Ford GT is the fact that there is no storage in this car and I don't mean there is any storage, just not as much, I want say. there is no storage there is no glove box there is no door panel storage there is no net between the seats there is nothing now the normal ford gt has like little cup holders that you can get and there is a little storage pocket at the base of the driver's seat but not on the carbon series model, to save weight they removed the little storage pocket so they weigh like 0.3 ounces and they removed the cup holders so you literally have no storage inside this car the only place you can put things is in the Very front of the center console there is a small unused area where you can store things if absolutely necessary.
That's all. There is no other storage in this car. It's not very practical. Another thing you notice the moment you get into a Ford GT. If you get in with a passenger, how narrow it is in this interior is narrower than almost any other supercar and that has to do with that teardrop shape that Ford wanted as the most front part of the car to cut through the air. and everything else to slow down and move back so that the interior of this car is as wide as is absolutely necessary to accommodate two people. It's amazing how narrow it is, in fact I can get close and touch my camera while it's filming me which is something I've never been able to do in any other car I've filmed from the opposite side, it's that narrow and talking about the seats In this car, another thing you notice when you get in is the fact that the driver's seat cannot be moved, there are no controls for it, there are no adjustments, it cannot be moved at all, now the reason why Ford made this is that they wanted the cabin to be only a certain size and could pull the windshield back as much as possible again for aerodynamics. and if you allow the seat to move forward, you have to enlarge the cabin to do so.
They didn't want that so the seat stays fixed in place, but what if you don't fit right? Of course, Ford thought of that. You can move the steering wheel and pedals. You can see that there are two small latches at the base of the steering wheel for tilting and telescoping. You can move it around and there's also a little nylon cord you can pull into the driver's footwell area. move the pedals forward and then you can use your feet to place them exactly where you want. There's actually a reasonable amount of space in this car even for tall drivers, but you can't access that space by moving the seat. move the steering wheel and the pedals, another interesting element in this car, you can see that it has seat belts, which is not that surprising at all, but you can also see behind the seats there are these little bars that are attachment points for a career.
Harness and Carl the owner of this car told me that they are optional and you can't add them after the fact, you have to specify it when you order the car or else they can't be added so most car owners Ford GTs get them. Just in case, the next thing you notice when you get into this car when you start driving it is the steering wheel, which is probably the most interesting and unique steering wheel in the entire automobile business. We'll start with the fact that it's not a wheel at all, it's not circular, the top and bottom are completely flat like on a racing car, which is pretty interesting to see on a road car, but even more interesting to see. in a road car it is all buttons on the steering wheel Almost all the important controls of this car have been placed on the steering wheel.
The theory is that if you're on the race track you don't want to move your hands to turn on the wipers or adjust something so everything is just right. within arm's reach on the right side at the top you have the windshield washers, then below that you have the wipers, then you have the right turn signal, then you have some controls for the timing system, the bluetooth and then at the bottom you have the stereo. The volume can be raised or lowered with two separate buttons. Now on the left you have a button that flashes the lights, then you have the drive mode selector button, below that you have the left turn signal and below that is the cruise control.
Yes, this car has cruise control and you finally have next track and previous track buttons for the stereo. There's a lot going on with this steering wheel obviously behind all of that you have these cool silver paddle shifters which are a nice little touch that also makes you feel like you're driving a racing car now an interesting element with the steering wheel carl the owner of the Auto told me that their biggest complaint with the entire car is the steering wheel-mounted turn signal buttons, not that they're there because Actually, that's a pretty intuitive place for them, but they're in the middle of everything else. , so sometimes you go to turn on the turn signal and accidentally press a little too high and turn on the washer fluid or lights, it's just a little hard to follow, it would be nice if those turn signal buttons were placed on somewhere else so you don't accidentally turn on something else when you're looking for your turn signals.
Now another element worth highlighting on the steering wheel is this little one. check mark on the right side that says okay with arrows pointing up or down, if you actually move that dial you adjust the gauge cluster, there is a gauge cluster screen and when you move the dial it shows you several different things about the vehicle, as your trip odometer. tire pressures that kind of stuff every time you move the dial now talking about the gauge cluster this car has one of the best gauge clusters in the automotive industry it's just a big screen and it's great to adjust and what I mean by that It's That is, if you start in wet or comfort mode, the gauge cluster looks a certain way with the speed displayed right in the middle, but if you go into sport mode, the speed shifts to one side and instead your gear shifts. shows right in the middle.
Since that's the most important thing, if you're on a race track, you don't really care how fast you go. If you switch the car to track mode, the gauge cluster will change just one more time and it's cool to see. reorganizing yourself and now your gear and revs are by far the most important focal point, with speed being a very minor afterthought in the corner. It's very interesting to see how it changes as you switch between the different driving modes in the Ford GT and, by the way, one. Another interesting thing worth noting about the gauge cluster is that it displays a very lovely Ford GT graphic.
If you have, for example, an open door, it'll let you know with this little Ford GT graphic in the corner, perfectly designed to mimic the real thing. of the car, which I love, it will also let you know if the axle lift is raised, that graphic will show the gt with the front end up and speaking of the axle lift, I guess we'll then move on to the center console where you have a row. of buttons worth mentioning starting with that axle lift, it's the one furthest in the back, you press it and the front of the car lifts up to clear like low curbs or driveways, many exotic cars have that , but the impressive thing here is how quickly it happens, push it and instantly the front end rises.
Now compare this to many other supercars where you realize you're about to pull into a driveway and then you have to go to the screen and scroll through some menus. and then it takes like 10 seconds to raise the front of the car, not this thing, the second you see the driveway, you press the button and you're up and you clear it, which is great and it's the same thing going down now. Also worth mentioning are the other buttons on the center console, just above the axle lift, you have the comfort suspension button, if you press it it puts the car in comfort mode, it seems ridiculous in a car like this, but hey, it's there.
Up there where you have the traction control off button and then up there you have the hazard lights, four buttons arranged in a row, now next up is the transmission selector, which is a quite unusual dial in this car, you have p r and d, all arranged in a kind of circle and you just turn it to change gears, in the middle there is a button marked m which is for putting the transmission in manual mode. Now, next, on the center console, above the transmission dial, you obviously have the engine start/stop button, you press it if you want.
Start your Ford GT now and then move to another part of the Ford GT interior. I want to move to the left of the steering wheel, where you'll see some buttons and dials, the button on the far left that opens the trunk from the inside. so you press that and then the trunk engine cover lid opens. You also have a dial there and those are the headlights and that's just one part from the Ford parts bin. You'll have the same headlight dial and the Explorer and Taurus basically each other. Ford and also on a supercard 600 000. Interestingly, it is now not the only part of the Ford parts bin on this car that is shared with other Ford models.
You will also see that the door lock and unlock buttons are just normal lock and unlock buttons on a Ford itself. they deal with the power mirror control, which they just lifted from other Ford models and it's the same with the power window switches again, they were just borrowed from the Mustang and the Focus and basically every other Ford in a 600 supercar 000, now the most interesting is the door opening button. These are electronic opening doors and will obviously be unique. You press this little button and then the doors open, but I realized that that button isn't actually unique.
It's the same button that releases the electronic doors on the lincoln continental, so the car also shares something with the gt and speaking of the doors, another interesting element with them is that they contain the interiors, just the control vents climate, there are no central vents inthis car. It only has four, two on the driver's door, two on the passenger's door, which is a little strange, when you turn on the climate control, nothing blows at you from the middle, it all comes from the door area because this interior It's just not wide enough. For the vents in the center, they integrated them into the doors, which is actually a very good idea.
Other interesting elements of this interior are the incredibly small sun visors that you can see, they turn in the opposite direction to normal car sun visors and They are really small and tiny, but they are there. Another interesting component of the interior of this car is that this panel on the dashboard is not just a panel that they glue here for the dashboard, it is actually a structural component on this car, which is very, very interesting, very different and unusual in compared to normal cars that just have a kind of plastic dashboard added in this car, it is structural and you can see above this panel that it is finished in alcantara, there is a hole and you can put your hand in it and if you are flexible enough , you could even reach the windshield through the hole in the dashboard of your Ford GT.
Now, speaking of the dashboard, another interesting element, with the dashboard on the right, you can see that you have the American flag. then it says gt and then it says k043 now k is the model of this car based on the ven the vin contains a small code for the model year and k means 2019. zero four three is the actual production number of this car within 2019, so what is that basically? It says this is car number 043 for the 2019 model year and all four GTs have it. Now next we move on to the heart of the ford gt situation, where you will find two surprisingly normal elements: the climate control, which is quite normal, very easy.
Adjusting it is simple like a normal car's climate control, the only interesting thing is that the air recirculation button has a picture of a Ford GT and not a normal car and it also has the infotainment system which is just the Ford's synchronized infotainment system, except on a smaller screen to account for this car's smaller interior. Now this screen is not. particularly interesting or entertaining in the grand scheme of the ford gt it's basically just ford sync it's relatively responsive to your touch it has navigation capabilities it has a valet mode lets you sync your phone with bluetooth nothing particularly interesting or strange may be the only part of the car which has no real quirks or features, so those are the quirks and features of the new Ford GT.
Now it's time to take it out on the road and drive it well, driving the new GT. This is Carl. The car owner, are you afraid? No, not at all, I haven't crashed anything yet. Dogs drive my car. The first impression. I just walked in and all I want to say, it's a great event. The doors are so narrow here. You know the car doesn't. It doesn't look narrow, but the cabin is very narrow because of the arrow on the side. You sometimes know that you are entering McLaren. They are all almost the same. Ferraris are almost the same.
It doesn't look like any other exotic car because Ford doesn't make any. so everything is kind of custom made and weird and the steering wheel is weird and the paddles are weird and it's a different experience, everything from the outside to the inside of the car is unconventional. I think that's one of the reasons it's so desirable and people like it because they feel like there's nothing else on the road like the last time we were together driving this car in Utah two years ago. I never felt the v6 was a drawback. How have you already driven 700 miles in this car?
How you felt? It's something you have to think about because if you just drive the car, it's fast and makes a nice noise, so unless you get stuck thinking about the fact that it doesn't have a V8, you'll never care. which doesn't happen, I remember at that time two years ago you told me that this is a theory, at that time it is a question of theory, should a car like this have a v12 v8? true, and of course I always feel like you know well that there are a lot of cars out there with a certain crest that have six cylinders and nobody questions anything.
Honestly, it feels like a V8 in the sense of the immediacy of the power because one of the things I love about v8s is how responsive they are to the throttle, yeah, and there seem to be a couple of good v6s on the market at this point. moment that they feel like this, yes, and this is one of them, yes. The signals on the thing are weird, weird, so if you just tap it, it only works three times right, but what happens if you hold it down or something, it lasts a long time. Let's see now, sometimes, if you touch it, if it goes three times.
I have it low, there's a certain level of touch that gets three three turns of OK signals and another level of touch that just keeps it going and then you just have to know, man, listen to that sound, that's one of the things about the which I really noticed because Even I was skeptical about the six cylinder when I found out etc., but what I saw in Utah when I saw it on the track going fast was that it actually sounds great, it doesn't matter and that was the thing and I've had a lot of people tell me over the last few years, you know, a year or two, oh, that's just got a six cylinder and I keep telling people no, it's amazing, it sounds great, it feels great, I don't know. feels like a single six.
There are people out there who say it doesn't sound good either or it sounds like a six and it's like no, you're just deciding, yeah, you know, because you don't know what he's going to say, right, you've decided no. I don't like the exhaust again if you didn't tell people what the engine was yeah you just made them drive it they would think it's a really powerful V8 it's so fast I mean that's a quarter stab or so accelerator, oh. I love the sound, I think it's fantastic and almost feels amplified. You can hear so much sound here.
What I like is how everything is immediate in the car. The wing does not go up or down. Yeah, it slams up and down yeah, yeah, the car, yeah, it really does, it just did, oh man, you know, when you go over a robot spot, I call it the rifle crack, you pass over a robot point and the hole inside the cabin goes bam because you went. about something that or something you don't even feel in an SUV there is no give there is no because there is no flex in the body or the suspension wow oh my god it is incredibly fast that noise is right behind you and there is no isolation or Anything you feel More like a race car than almost anything else.
I just told the Senate that it has a similar feeling because that is also incredibly ridiculous. You know, the focus on the track. No story is extremely great. It has many of the same features. This car. A lot of philosophy. Behind it, that's very similar to the philosophy behind this car, right, it's almost double that, right, yeah, that's crazy, it's so fast and it feels so stable and so good when you're going fast, it just feels as capable as we are. They were only a quarter of what it could do, which of course was true, it's so good, it feels so stable and so planted, that's what's really impressive, it feels like a German or Italian supercar, the company that has been doing this. for a hundred years you know it's good at it, I've talked to the guys that were part of the tuning, yeah, the fine tuning, how the steering feels, yeah, yeah, you know what the throttle is like, what it's going to be like, when, when you start . use the accelerator to drive it instead of the brakes and those guys did an amazing job on this car, that's the bottom line, it's really better to go past its limit, yes there are cars that you can drive to their limit and they are amazing, and what happens beyond its limit it's terrifying but when you push this car beyond its limit it's really fun, it's really a fun car and that's why that's when you know they got it right, it's incredibly fast, it's also incredibly good to slow down. speed, which I love.
I'm not doing what you know, I'm not hitting the brake like it's the accelerator, but it's good at it, you can clearly tell, yeah, it's very, very tight, obviously, there's practically no body roll, I'm not even in mode clue. Track mode, something scary. For me, it gets very low, but it's so good, it's so stable, the steering is also very precise, which I love, I hate cars with light steering, I hate cars with similar turns, especially yes, and this is not the moment you start. to turn it, something happens, the car starts doing its thing, yes, doing its thing, and that's the new Ford GT.
This is a genuine supercar, one of the best on sale today, one of the fastest and craziest cars on the market. It's hard to imagine paying. half a

million

dollars for a Ford, but it's also hard to imagine Ford making a car that goes almost 220 miles per hour, and yet they do and now it's time to give this car an excellent score, starting with the categories weekend and style. I love the look of the Ford GT, but it's more functional and classically beautiful and gets an 8 out of 10. Acceleration is incredibly quick and gets a 10 out of 10.
Handling is tremendously precise and gets a 10 out of 10. Fun The Factor is excellent and gets a 10 out of 10. The cool factor is huge right now, one of these will absolutely stop cars and coffee and gets a 10 out of 10 for a total weekend score of 48 out of 50. The following are In everyday categories and features, it is reasonably well equipped, but obviously lacking many luxuries and scores a 6 out of 10. Comfort is low, the ride is brutal and the interior is compact and scores a 2 out of 10. Quality is excellent . and I suspect it will be more reliable than many exotic cars and gets a 7 out of 10.
Practicality is very, very limited, there is virtually no storage space anywhere in a very small interior and it gets a 1 out of 10. Value is a Bit hard to put a number on this car, it's increasing in value so it deserves a high score, but it's also

insane

ly expensive for what it is, especially compared to the current crop of 48 tracks and gt2 rss that offer similar numbers. for less money. It gets a six out of 10 for a total daily score of 22 out of 50. Add it up and Doug's score is 70 out of 100 and that's how it compares to other track-focused exotic cars.
You can also see that I have increased the score a bit compared to the first time I drove the GT two years ago. The gt has a surprisingly high weekend score, higher than basically anything, but it also has a really low daily score, lower than basically anything. Honestly, it was made for 10 10 driving and it's not very livable and that's either amazing or disappointing depending on your point of view.
