importantly, Bojack's failure as a friend and father figure to Sarah Lynn after Bojack's Oscar nomination falls deeper and deeper. In his own spiral of shame that sends him on an ill-advised quest to make amends for the people he's wronged, but as Bojack's

selfish

affair deepens, his neglect of Saralin's insecurities, fears, and demons grow. Until it's too late, that's too

much

man. It begins with Bojack calling Cyril and asking him to party, derailing his nine months of sobriety without a second thought.

The two get high, drink, and party together until Bojack begins to pass out and lose track of time after a speech.
