If you are about to buy a Tesla

model

3, I think this will be a very important video to watch, especially if you are buying a used one. I'm going to go over where you can buy a little about all the different variants and

options

, what goes wrong, and what to look for if you're looking to buy a new one. I think you'll also find a video helpful and I'll put a referral code in the description below, click that link. Through the Tesla website, configure your car and that will give you right now one thousand and three miles of supercharging, so keep watching and we'll give you a full overview of where to buy your used Tesla very quickly.

I'll cover it. some of the

options

are a

tesla

so sometimes i have used inventory sometimes they sell out but its basically an anonymous buying process you also cant see the car beforehand so you are buying blind but they have them in second place. With private sales and with private buying you can get a bargain, but you have to be very careful, of course, you know that the car probably won't be prepared and with refinished wheels and things like that, and you just have to make sure that you are very careful not to buy a car with accident damage and remember that if it was damaged by accidents in the past and was written off, it probably won't be supercharged anyway.

More Interesting Facts About,

There's more to discuss about that but that's probably another video so buying privately you can get a good deal just be very careful and then you have independent dealers and I think there are a lot of dealers now that sell Tesla. I think the difference, especially with us, is just our experience and knowledge, and I think that counts for both checks. we go through the car and do a 125 point check on every car, we make sure everything is ok, we are very transparent about any conditions or defects, we restore the car whenever possible so that the marks and wheels are completely renewed and the car looks great, generally better prepared than All the new ones I bought from Tesla, but again, that's another story and you want to make sure you buy from a professional company that knows what they're doing and has inspected the cars well.

Most of them, unfortunately, don't know a lot. They're all learning a lot, but we have that unique level of experience here that will also take into account any post-sale questions you may have. You may be taking a long trip and have a question about it, so there are a few options, but we think you're the best, so what qualifies me to give you advice about the Model 3? Well, we buy and sell a lot of them, but I have also owned a Model 3 since day one of the first deliveries in the UK. I reserved mine. years ago and I was there the first day when the first cars arrived, since then I've owned, bought and sold hundreds of these things, so there's not much we haven't seen and not much we don't know. so we will start by reviewing a little the different

versions

and

model

s over the years.
tesla model 3 ultimate buyers guide versions revisions options problems explained
Well, we first saw the Model 3 in the UK in June 2019 and it really is the four most models. people think there are three, actually there are four, if you look in a used market there are four and they start with the standard range, it would look like this, which should have arrow wheels, so the standard range is a 50 battery kilowatts, generally speaking, rear-wheel drive and So, the real world has a range of just over 200 miles. You'll actually see a video we helped Carl film where we took a standard range as far as it went and did 220 odd miles capable of a little more if you really try. but in the real world about 200 miles and then you have the long range which also looks a bit like this, nothing to distinguish the exterior of the car, but a long range car usually hits the dual motor cars, they are a motor in the front part. a motor in the rear and a larger battery in the region of 75 kilowatt hours, so as expected they go a little further and have four-wheel drive, and it was a little more expensive to buy new autonomy in the real world in one. of those, well I say from experience about 270 miles, generally speaking a lot of factors include range and distance, but capable of that, I've certainly done it on one, so they are very good for long distances and they certainly charge as fast as it is good, and then there's the little known model called performance minus

tesla

never called it called performance like everyone else, but it tends to refer to performance minus and it looks a little like this, um, as you can see it all Same negative performance, not many people know about this, it wasn't available for a long time and it's basically long range, but with the performance model performance, the differences are that the long range performance or the p minus is still go like this.
It didn't have upgraded wheels and brakes and some of the other features that you do get on the full performance model, so it seems a little confusing when we've had a less long range performance, we list it and get a lot of emails outside of the ad from people saying it's just long range you're trying to lose, advertise it well, it exists, it has the same naughto 60 as the full performance one, but it just doesn't have the extras, so when you see negative performance That's it what we're talking about and then you have the long range performance, the all round performance and again the body looks very similar but you can spot them mainly because they have 20 inch alloy wheels and then they also have a slightly lower suspension. some upgraded big brakes, carbon fiber spoiler, some aluminum covers on the pedals, plus track mode and track mode means you can really track these cars and I'll show you a little more about track mode in a moment and I'll just add one more element to the mix. that confuses some people, you can take long range and unlock a performance upgrade, usually go into your app, pay tesla £1500 here in the uk and it makes long range a bit faster, not so fast like full performance, but a little faster than a normal range car, so how does that translate into performance?
Well, the standard entry level range is still a bit of 60 in about five and a half seconds, so it's not a slow car, it's quite fast, the long range car with a dual motor has nothing to do with it. 60 in just over four seconds and the dual motor performance is zero to 60 in 3.2 seconds, although they reduced that to 3.1 later in the review and we'll cover that in a moment and then remember unlocking for the long haul. range, well if you take a normal long range and unlock that performance upgrade that takes your zero to 60 up to 3.6, then between the dual motor performance and just the dual motor somewhere between the two fast cars, all very capable and very nice and now let's cover a couple of what we call updates or slight model changes over the years where at the end of 2020 we saw the first of a batch of cars that were called 2021 update cars and they carried some changes with them .
Now we cover that in another video, so we're trying to add a link; if not, we'll try to put a link in the description below to that video highlighting exactly what changed at the end of 2020 on the cars that arrived in the UK. but predominantly the chrome work was now black around the windows instead of chrome, we had some different wheels for performance, some slightly different headlights, one of the biggest changes was for the high performance models, the battery change as well than an upgrade in 2021 as Sometimes in terms of performance then we had the 82 kilowatt battery which basically gave it a little more range and again there is a video we filmed with Carlisle and we managed to go almost 300 miles, so it was pretty good and also comes with a pretty big change that affected. all of them, what was the heat pump and the heat pump is there to improve efficiency, so all models benefited from a heat pump and some improvement in range that comes with that, especially in the colder climate , so I'll just add one more in 2021 right now.
The new cars from March 1st come from the China factory, so we have what we call model 3 made in China, so a couple of small changes basically have the same differences as the update from the end of 2020. They are made in Chinese cars again. There's another video we made for this, so check it out for more details, but you can usually tell them by the edge of the dash and then they carry over to the door cards, and that's been a couple of. changes, but there are not too many variations over the years for the exterior colors.
The first initial default color was black, which was quickly changed to white, so white became the standard, so you have pearl white, pearl white and we have pearl. one white here there is one pearl white here one metallic deep blue available also pearl white is available and there is pearl white so white will be the most common color because it is a default, you have to pay extra for the other colors besides white and blue there's also black, there's a deep metallic, what they call midnight silver metallic, which is basically grey, and then we also have the most expensive paint color for an extra two grand, it was multi-coat red, so not too many options, what about the interior?
The two interior options, black, were the default. If you pay a little more, you get the ultra-white interior. Now this is not leather nor is it black. It is a very good substitute material, but don't be too scared by the white it shows. fingerprints, but usually people have a bag of wet wipes in the car, it always cleans very well, it has proven to be very durable and stand the test of time, so white is a bold choice, but don't be too fond of it fear. It really makes it stand out and also contrasts with the white.
Here you have white door cards and a white section on the dash, so now I'm in this standard black interior. The same center console C here is all the same. The interior is a As a result, it's a little darker than you'd imagine, but the full-length glass roof that all Model 3s have counteracts that, as you can imagine, black just doesn't show marks as easily, it's equally durable we have not found. Any issues with excessive wear on the seats seem to last very well instead of the white panel. Here we have Alcantara panels that feel very good and then we come to the dashboard, so if you have a black interior, it comes with a wooden dashboard. and for me I don't think that particularly fits, I'm not very interested in it, some people love it, I'm not that interested, I think it doesn't really fit, so it would be nice if there was an alternative.
Fortunately, there is a solution. Check it out. This is our Alcantara alternative that we can supply and install. We have another video specifically about this dash so check it out and now it matches perfectly with these Alcantara Suede Door Panels. Until late 2020 this is what the center console looked like and it has a gloss black finish and can be scratched easily so take a look here for excessive scratches. It is quite common to wrap it and I will show you a couple of examples of that in a moment the early cars have a panel here but there is no cell phone pad to charge the later cars I think after late 2019 they had a wireless charging pad installed here, the first cars were not, but there are many available. easily on eBay and Amazon and it fits on a wireless charging pad here and connects to the USBs below.
It makes a lot of sense. I recommend getting one of those if you don't have it, but it's not always there as standard if it's an older car. all 3 models have a single screen in the center here again, check for damage, takes a little getting used to, you have to figure out how to move around the screen, navigate, but it's nice that you're always doing software updates, remember and the latest version now shows a little animation here of everything that happens with the car and opening doors, so there is also some good news: your speedometer will be displayed here while you drive and I know many generous reports that say you should do it .
Take your eyes off the road to see that but I don't really find any

problems

, the speedometer is there so like anything it takes a bit of getting used to but I find this to be a really simple system all the way through hardware of the Model 3. is much faster to use and some of the testers above and the model s are an x so I'm not going to go over that in this video but basically as a buyer just check that all of this is free of damage and works as it should. nice and fast responsiveness, it is a totally minimalist interior in model 3, a lever here, a lever here for handling and enablingof the autopilot, other than that, everything from the two buttons on the steering wheel here, including adjusting the steering wheel itself and adjusting its speed for Autopilot, so it takes a little bit of use as well, but I really like how minimum that is this interior under the hood.
We have the front or the fruit. Some people call it smaller than the S and X models, we can't quite fit it. There is a mark here, but it is a good usable storage space. Sometimes you'll see a matte or waterproof mat here that people have put down, but very commonly without it. You have some convenient bag hooks here, but on those facelifted cars from late 2020 onwards, it got a little smaller and doesn't have these bag hooks, so these 20-inch wheels on the performance models, The previous ones were silver and then they changed to gray, if you prefer one or the other, certainly easier to repaint and paint.
They are in different colors, we have made quite a few in black, in fact they look good like this too, as you look at the wheels. When buying one, just check for damage here, obviously, they are quite easy to brake and can also bend if you hit a bump, so you just want to check for transmission vibration. The high performance ones also have these Michelin tires which are excellent. until the 2021 cars when they changed the wheel design to super turbines and also switched to Pirellis, which to be honest I'm not that big a fan of. I find that in the wet and wet they are not as good as these Michelins.
All three models have folding rear seats to expand the boot space, but they are only a saloon, not a hatchback, so you should check that this space can be used for anything you want to carry in terms of practicality, but it is so . A fairly good size trunk. Remember that new cars now have power tailgates, but previous cars until late 2020 were manual tailgates. It is possible to fit an electric tailgate kit on this one so that is something we can help with, so please contact us if you are looking for one of those, so we said the boot space is pretty good.
We actually managed to fit a make and a rise on this car and if you fold the seats down you could probably get another two differently so the standard range and the long range ones come with these wheels which are 18 inches and they have covers installed aerodynamics. It is quite popular to remove these parts like this. If you do, you need to buy a kit from Tesla, but you can also find them on eBay and Amazon. a hubcap kit is called little caps that cover the lug nuts and a center cap there and a lot of people like wheels that look like this, similar to these 20 inch wheels, there is also a 19 inch wheel option finished in silver by tesla, so between the size of the standard arrows and these 20 and I think they have a really good balance, they tend to be equipped with hand stitched tires as standard, which are good and have a good balance between looks and comfortable driving, but they still have the efficiency that is lost with these wheels all the cars until the end of 2020 had chrome around here um the last ones then became satin black as well as standard and the same with the door handles, but this car was originally finished with the chrome handles and the frames here so it's possible to wrap them and unchrome them again is something we can help you with so all the 3 models have a lot of cameras.
I like that one around them, so come to the front cameras on the wings here. Here and the camera on the back and they serve a multitude of functions, so the autopilot, um, we'll tell you a little bit more about the camera on the back for reversing. When you reverse, you can also see the view from the cameras on the sides. too, but in addition to that, you can add a memory device to the car, like a USB stick or an SSD drive, and they can actually save little clips of, for example, in a parking lot, someone damages your car, these cameras can save footage from that incident and also when you are driving if you have an accident or if you honk the clips are saved on those memory cards but you will need to get one of those memory cards that were installed as standard in 2021 cars, but anything before that, just open that. on the USB drive format it and it will say let's quickly cover the autopilot topic because it causes some confusion.
The cars have been standard with the Model 3 since they were in the UK. They will come with a basic version of autopilot. It will remain. the car at a regular distance from the vehicle in front with radar and will keep the car in its lane; However, if you signal to change lanes or forcefully change lanes, it will be canceled and you will need to reset it with this type of base version if you want. having auto lane change plus some of the extras like summon features and auto park in previous teslas, they would be part of the autopilot package, but now they included them in the full autonomous driving package, which is very expensive, but recently they have given.
You have the option of enhanced autopilot, which is a little cheaper and falls between the two, so you should carefully check that what the car has meets your expectations. There's a basic autopilot that everyone has, and to be honest, I think it helps. the feature, the functionality that we really need today, you have the enhanced autopilot, so it would change lanes and give you a few more features, and then the full self-driving package, which is worth a few thousand pounds, is really there. ready for the future in the car. So all you can do as the software evolves and remember they download data, that car will have that functionality, just depending on local regulations.
What I would say is cars on the used market that have that very expensive autonomous driving option, I think it becomes incredibly. good value because it was an expensive option and on the used market, although it makes the car a bit more than one without it, it's certainly not for that total price on a complete self-driving package on the used market, it's pretty good even if all that functionality is not available yet let's also quickly mention premium connectivity, cars can have a period of free premium connectivity and that can be from when it was new or from when you just bought it, but really to have karaoke with live traffic viewing and some of the music and video streaming features like Netflix, you will need to have the car's wifi connector or subscribe to premium connectivity at the time of filming this, which is 9.99 a month.
I paid it. I think it's worth it, but keep in mind that it's something you might want to keep in mind. We quickly mentioned free supercharging. No free supercharging in a Model 3, non-transferable, non-transferable, never had it. The only free superfeed you can get is where you can earn some free superfeed by sharing your referral code for example, so if you use my referral code in the link below I will get some free superfeed in my account, so It is possible to have some, but it is not too expensive, prices vary slightly. Cars have a standard ccs fast connection so you can also use third party charging networks such as Shell Recharge Bp Pole from the vault for example so there are some options and charging is usually not too expensive if you are thinking on taking the car to a day at the track.
They are very capable. I have done it myself, very quickly. You can come out of a chicane and make a BMW M3 look like it's parked, and you can actually do some laps on battery power. and fast charging during lunch break are quite good, interestingly, with the newest version of track mode version two now available, you can adjust the balance rail handling, front-wheel drive, stability, the amount of regenerative braking and shows you some good things. graphs for brake temperature and battery temperature, so they are very capable track cars. Well, let's get to the heart of the issues, what to look for in a particular used car or just whether you have one so the cars have a full warranty.
Up to four years or 50,000 miles after that, engines and transmission are included, but other little things will be excluded and this is one of the most common

problems

: water in the taillight, so a little fogging on the curves from time to time is fine but this one clearly has water inside the lens and this backlight needs to be changed on the test drive, not too much to worry about, check for drivetrain vibrations or potentially bent wheels, a common little thing if you can hear there's a slight squeak in the The steering can sometimes be fixed with just a little bit of lube down here, but if it persists and will need to be looked at, the model 3 has this huge glass roof.
There was a batch of these that seemed a little defective and can be fixed. Cracks suddenly appear for no reason, most of them have already been resolved. I think it was a glass lot, but it's worth checking the glass for cracks or damage. This is not the easiest point to verify. cars, but right under here in the middle is a fiberboard panel that is easily damaged, torn off or lost, basically calls are usually made when driving through a large puddle. Interestingly, the newer cars now have a harder part for that, so it has been updated and hopefully even the If the older cars ever need to be replaced, the newer part is put in, but if you can look below or have someone like us check it for you, one of the most important things to check on the used car is the paint, especially along the seals and on the Back here, we have seen some cars that are very prone to stone chips here and in this section, this particular car has had ppf film applied and we can help you with that if you want, we really recommend it, it really protects the paint. stone chips and debris that can come off the road and make the car look worn very easily, which is why you mentioned that the paint underneath can suffer on some examples, many owners have installed fender skirts, Tessa and then started to include a fender skirt kit on newer cars, so you may see little black fenders here or color-coded

versions

that are really inexpensive and easy to find online.
Check around the car for fairly consistent gaps and panel alignment. Now there are variations. The spaces between panels of the fitting room are not as narrow as perhaps. new audi or mercedes, but it should be very even and consistent. Ideally we would have something like this to check the thickness of the paint, which is something we do to look for signs of previous repair. I think we will see more cars, especially high-performance, extremely fast ones. Unfortunately the cars suffered some damage and accidents and are possibly being repaired and back on the road so be careful if you are not too sure or are not buying somewhere that knows Tesla like we do, just make sure you look very carefully Any signs of damage from previous accidents and repairs on many electric vehicles, we normally say to take a good look at the brakes, not usually from wear but from lack of use, people just don't use the brakes as much due to the regeneration effect of the engines and that can cause a disc to corrode and even the calipers to get stuck, it doesn't seem to be a big problem on the model three, but you can see a little scratching on the disc due to some kind of sand on the pads , but actually with the model three, um, when it's wet the car without you knowing it actually applies the brakes to keep them clean, dry and working effectively, which means they actually seem to use a little bit even if You don't know, so I think we're going to end it here.
I've tried to cover a bit of the history and explain some of the different versions of the car. There are not too many and we have covered them in other videos as we say in terms. Of the problems, well there really aren't too many and if you are buying from a good source like us then I think anything will be picked up, highlighted and sorted out but they have proven to be extremely reliable cars and a good buy. Whether new or on the used market, of course, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask us, we will always try to help you.
