SUNSET Eye Makeup Tutorial | Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Volume 2 palette

Jun 06, 2021
Hello guys and welcome to my YouTube channel. In today's video I will show you my third look using the new Jaclyn Hill and Morphe number two

volume

palette

. If you haven't seen my previous two videos, I'll be sure to link them in the description bar, but before I start on any eyeshadow, I always prep my eyelids first, as you can see my eyelids are a little pink because on me previous video I used a lot of pink colors and pink eyeshadows for smudged lids so that's what happened so ignore that but I just used the foundation on top and now I'm going to use this beautiful

palette

.

I've made three videos so far and I really love it. I think it's one of my favorite palettes. I always love the colors and it's very easy to use, so now I'm taking this light color and I'm going to use it as a brow highlighter. I love a matte brow highlighter so I'm really happy that this palette has a light matte shade, then I'm going to take this yellow color and actually a lot of people asked me for a look where I used this yellow eyeshadow and not I was really sure what to do with it because I feel like yellow is quite a difficult look to wear, I think when you use yellow very quickly it will look like an eyeshadow look that probably not many people will want to wear, so for this one look I just wanted to use as much neon as possible. shadows as possible and just create a really colorful eye look, then I'm going to use this orange color that I also used in my previous color, such a beautiful shade and I'm going to use it right next to where I applied the yellow. color and I'm just doing tapping motions on the eyelid to really apply the eyeshadow and also lightly applying it a little bit on top of the yellow eyeshadow this way the yellow and the orange will blend into each other. another one that will give you a really nice transition from yellow to orange, so I also blend it in the crease because I also want the shadows in the crease to look really well blended, so on the lid I blend it and in the crease I blend it left to right now for the next color.

I'm going to take this super pretty, vibrant pink color and I'm going to do the same thing I did with the orange color, just putting it on the lids. and then also sweeping it into the crease back and forth and also slightly on top of the orange eye shadow when applying it, I feel like my nose is stuffy again and I felt like my voice was going a little better but it's starting to sound. I really miss it again so I hope I don't get sick again. Bear with me, but yeah, so I'm going to keep doing this and until I find that there's enough pink shadow on the lids, then I'll move on to the next color.

I'm going to use a more purple color. I just want to create a gradient from yellow to orange to pink and then transform it to purple. I really love the effect it gives, it looks like a

sunset

, but a little. a little bit different, so now I'm taking this purple color, which is such a beautiful shade, and I'm going to start blending it out of the area and then blending it further up into the crease of my outer V area, if that's even a word. I don't know how to explain that but with the other shades I applied it first but with this one I wanted to start blending it first because I wanted the outer corner of my eyelid to look smoky so that's why I'm also blending it now I'm also applying it on top of the pink , so I feel like you can't see that pink eyeshadow anymore, but it will still definitely help with the transition from yellow to orange to purple and now for the next step, I'm going to grab the Maybelline Studio Gel Eyeliner , which is my favorite drugstore gel eyeliner, and I'm going to use it to create a line above my lash line.

I'm not going for a winged eyeliner today, but yeah. to smudge the outer edge of the eyeliner, which will give a really nice smudged effect, so it'll be a little bit different than just doing a simple line over your lash line, but I'm not going to do that either. Do a winged line, I think definitely, when you're squinting, try this technique and maybe it will work for you because you don't really have to be very precise with it, so definitely try it, you don't have to. for a super dramatic look like I did with all the colors, you can also use brown tones in the crease and then try this eyeliner technique I'm doing.
The first thing I did was create a simple line above the lash line and then on the outer edge where I'm applying the eyeliner right now I'm going to apply it a little bit higher up and after I do that I'm going to take a little blending brush and I'll just blend it on the outer edge to make it look really smoky. and then when I'm done blending the eyeliner, I'm going to take some black eyeshadow and I'm going to use a little blending brush and smudge this on top of where I apply the gel eyeliner, this will make the transition. around the gel eyeliner a little bit softer because the gel eyeliner obviously has quite a bit of consistency and can look a little bit harsh, so with the black eyeshadow I'm going to blend it out more to make it look a little bit softer, like this which wasn't I'm really happy with how it looked so far, so I decided to use the dark purple color from the palette and apply it a little bit on top and a little bit on top so that it blends with the purple shade that we have.
It was previously used on the outer v area just to make it a little more blended because sometimes black eyeshadow is a little hard to work with because it's so black so I wanted to make the transition a little softer to use that purple , so Since the outer end looks a little messy, like right under the smudged wing liner, I'm going to use a little bit of concealer and a sigma beauty e25 brush and I'm just going to run my brush back and forth underneath of the outside. end of that black situation and this will make it look a lot cleaner and really neat and although it's still a little smoky, I don't want it to be too sharp, which is why I didn't go in with any masking tape or anything like that, but I want it to look more clean, that's why I'm using concealer.
Now for the next step, I'm going to grab this inglot pencil, which is the black kohl pencil in shade number zero one. and we're going to use this all the way down to the waterline to make it really black and smoky. I also mentioned in one of my previous videos that there's a really nice dupe that's a little more affordable, it's from Barry M Cosmetics and it's kind of like that. It looks the same, it's just a simple black eye pencil. If you are looking for a nice and affordable pencil, I would definitely recommend the one from barium cosmetics.
Then I'm going to take the black eyeshadow from the palette again with a super small surifi cosmetics brush and I'm going to press the black eyeshadow right below where I just applied the pencil on the white line and also slightly above the white line because applying a matte black shadow on top of the waterline will make the pencil last one line longer. longer this way because it's a cream product and you're setting it in place, then I'm going to go back to using the yellow eyeshadow and I'm going to use a small brush and I'm just going to sweep my brush back and forth and just blend it out.
Now it is below the lower lash line because I use the same color on the initial part of the eyelids as well. I really like how it looks because you get the same effect under the lower lash line, just like I have on my lids, but now. I haven't used the red eyeshadow yet for this look so I decided to use the red eyeshadow, just include that too because I wanted to use all the vibrant colors that really stand out in this palette and the red eyeshadow was the only one. color that I haven't used yet, so I'm taking a small brush again and I'm just blending it under my lower lash line and also blending it on top of the yellow so that the yellow and red blend into each other.
Now everyone knows, I think yellow and red make orange, so the transition will look a little more orange because those shades blend together. I actually think the red eyeshadow is really beautiful. Let me know if you are going to buy the palette. I know. It launched today, so let me know if you get your hands on it if you're going to try any of my eye looks. I'm very curious to know, so now I'll go back with the white tone that we used before for underneath. brow bone and I'm going to highlight a little bit of that in the inner corner area just to make the transition between the lid and the lower lash line look a little bit softer and blended together and I really like it the pop. kind of shine in the inner corner so for my mascara I'm going to take this mascara from Maybelline which is the great mascara for eyelashes.
It has become one of my favorite drugstore mascaras. I really like using it, so I'm applying it. the upper lashes and of course also the lower lashes and in this video as always I am going to use some false eyelashes. I use lashes from my own lash company and these are any style. I have a special discount code for my lashes in the description bar so if you want to try any of my lashes, I've got you and this is the end of the video. I really hope you like this
