So, a know-it-all is someone who thinks they are very smart and tries to prove it to others all the time. A know-it-all is more common here in Australia and I think that know-it-all is more common in the UK. Correct me if I'm wrong. Let me know in the comments, but we use   know-it-alls more commonly here in Australia and know-it-alls often like to contradict or correct others, so they are generally not liked or a bit annoying to have a know-it-all around. After my presentation, Steve publicly questioned the accuracy of my research. That idiot was just trying to look good in front of the boss.
