Thousands and thousands of

aerosol

cans

are wasted and thrown

away

because they have no charge left even though they still have liquid inside. let me show you a cool trick you can do to put this back in, let's refill these cans and I'll show you what you need to do it so let's just go to show you there's very little to no air left. These two cans I got WD40, a very common household product that is used and I bought this can of VHT

spray

paint and we're going to do a test. You can still hear there's liquid here, so I'm going to put it next to my microphone. shake it like this and there's probably a little bit more left here too and let's take it out and see if there's anything left so you can see it's just a little bit coming out of there see that very low pressure okay you can still hear a little bit of air hissing , but there's no air in this one, okay, so there's no air in that one, so the tools that you're going to need for this project are these here if you don't know what that is.

This is a tire valve, you can easily get one of these if you go to your tire store, ask them, do you have one that you can spare for a used tire valve if you can't find one? I have one that you can get for cheap. and that's this one, it's actually a valve for tubeless tires and if you need it, I'll leave the link in the description below. The next one you need is this tire inflator. Now this tire inflator is the one I like to use because it has a gauge on there, it's 120 PSI, it's very, very affordable, it's under $20 and it's from ep Auto made in the USA.

See the link in the description next if you need one of these and another reason why I like this tire inflator because it has this right here, it has this locking device, it takes this cap off the valve stem, if you insert this tire valve, it locks it there so that it does not come out and it is also very important that you need air. compressor, this is just a little pancake air compressor that I have, it's 6 gallon, 150 psi, it has a regulator right here. I set the regulator to 120 PSI. On this one, the tank pressure was going to be 150, so I need to charge it.

It's a bit more, so you'll also need an air hose like this one. Okay, I'll link all of this in the description below. If you know me, folks, I'm concerned about safety whenever you work with any type of chemicals. Please wear nital gloves to protect your hands and body and also make sure to wear safety glasses because we are going to work with high pressure air and since we are working with high pressure air, make sure to wear earmuffs and hearing protection. Friends now I also want to add, since we are going to fill these cans with air, make sure to check the SDS, the safety data sheet or formally known as material safety data sheet or there is also the technical data sheet to check how much pressure.
Is each of these cans from the manufacturer? This one is on the tech sheet, I think it's 95 to 110, or this one will be pretty much the same, but make sure you check and do your own research and know how much psi these cans have. because if you overfill it it could cause serious damage so make sure you check before completing this first let's go with the WD40 now as you all know these w4's have these special caps but to do this they must have some kind of nipple or a little stem coming out of the can like this, make sure it's not broken, sometimes it's too deep in here as you can see, so what you really need to do is ease it little by little until you get the right amount so you can have enough so that when you push it it presses it down because if you know if you can really push this nipple down like this, we can take our knife, okay, just take your time, make a circle around it.
This move is nice and short. I know it's not perfect, but it should be enough. Now you can see much more clearly where the charge is if we go and press it down here. Now there is a space. Listen there is actually a. There's still a little bit of air coming out and there's a little bit of w WD40 coming out of that one, nice and loaded, now this is a little bit more that I like to do. It's just a bit of clear plastic. Actually, it's for a face shield. Very thin hard plastic. What we're going to do is create some sort of barrier or shield so that when we start inflating it we don't have all this stuff spitting at us, look somewhere in the middle make a hole there and make a little cutout if you're wearing safety glasses , you can use a face shield, but this one is really good to use whenever you're filling any type of can because if you're filling a paint can like this.
You could have paint spread all over your face or anywhere, since this is just a mockup, I don't mind this getting dirty and all, it's not the prettiest cutout, but it will look like this, you'll see, and it will act as a shield . to keep all that splatter from getting on you so now let's load this WD40, hold it nice and tight so it doesn't explode like this, now we have our guard taking this and putting it right on top, press down. and then inflate it, we're going to pressurize it up to 90 PSI just to be safe, press down and then pull the trigger, see that splash, hear that bubbling, see the pressure is now at 60, test it, it's at 80, squeeze a little more. 80 right there it's at 90 drop it you hear that little bleed so now you're going to have a little bit of dripping look at all that splatter on the wall now I gotta change this we have a WD40 running now it's Back look that now it's squirting again, it works like a charm, so there you have it folks, you didn't waste a perfectly good WD40 with liquids still in it, you have pressure inside, there you are ready, now it's time to make the paint can.
And I know there's probably not much paint left here, but there's no pressure left on this one, so as you can see, let's try this now. What we are going to do is remove it. Take out the top nozzle now that we have this left, we're just doing this for test purposes and yes a little bit of paint comes out, it's a pretty empty can but yes you can do it with paint cans too so here's another trick brilliant. friends, another cool trick, if you don't want to use one of these shields, just remove it if you have the lid of any

aerosol

can or if you have the lid of this WD40, if it comes with it, you can reuse this lid and use this as a shield too , all you have to do is drill a hole right here.
Let me show you how to use here's half a drill bit. Look, now you have a hole right in the middle. Grab your knife and make sure to use some cutting. heavy duty gloves these are cut resistant gloves but be very careful wear some type of gloves and you can use this to maybe cut about half of it. I'm using the inside lid as a guide, don't cut towards your body. so cut the inside tab so you're creating you're cutting the inside so you don't have that dip once you create it uh once you cut it into four areas in the middle you can easily take it out and you can reuse it.
This again and again to test it on the top of the lid. Notice how it looks. You can take your modified valve or your regular valve that you didn't cut depending on how high the inside nipple is. This is a bit. a little bit longer so you can definitely use the deeper one, the unmodified one, insert it in which one will work, just press it in and make sure the ridge is facing out like this. Now you have a perfectly good inflator protector instead of using this protector. It looks a lot cleaner, all you have to do is take this cap, first you want to put it here, connect it to your tire inflator, you have this cool cap and you have something to rest your palm on on top of this cover. and at the same time you can push down and then inflate and see that now you don't have all that recoil since this is already pressurized, but now you don't have all that stuff flying everywhere. act as a guard, you can reuse this over and over again, let me know what you think in the comments below so you have friends.
If you have any ideas or suggestions you would like to share with us, please leave them in the comments section below. and share it with the community and again friends be very very careful when pressurizing any type of airsa cans be sure to consult and review the SDS or previously known as MSDS sheet or technical data sheet of each can you are going to use. pressurize to make sure you're pressurizing it to the correct PSI level, make sure you're wearing the proper PPE, including your safety glasses, and again, folks, this is a great way to refill those flat cans again, folks, Thanks so much for looking.
