them

in the oven. I'll start on a Sunday morning. and the chicken will be used for two different recipes and I thought this was the easiest way to do it so I'm going to cover it with foil and then cook them in the oven because I find it's the easiest way and that way I'm ready to make two recipes, so I'll put them in the oven at 350 degrees for about 30 to 35 minutes while the chicken cooks.

, the first thing I'm going to do is use these baby potatoes. I love them, if they are a normal size I will cut them in half and if they are a little larger I will cut them into quarters and then I will season them and then I will put a little bit of butter on them and then I will roast them in the oven and these will mainly be for Andrews

meals

and these are It's very easy to heat up and I'll show you how to do it too, but I didn't have enough small russet potatoes, so I decided to cut up some large russet potatoes as well.

Now I'm going to move on to the sweet potatoes. It will be Stephen's first dinners. He loves sweet potatoes and anything like that. Honestly, I could eat them every night and I knew he would enjoy them a lot more than potatoes, so I'm going to go ahead and peel them for him. It is easier to cut and cut with a knife. I'm just going to dice them and then put them in a saucepan and once again season them with a little bit of butter, put a little bit of pepper on them because that's what he likes and then after my chicken is done, I will roast all these vegetables so I can use them when I go to prepare their individual dinners.
My chicken is cold now. I'm going to dice it so I have four of the large chicken breasts. I'm going to make chicken pot pie now. I have made chicken pot pie in the past. I made individual portions and larger ones and used the best quick recipe. I'll link it below, but I wanted to change it up and try something different, but in the past it was just chicken, some vegetables and then the cream of chicken soup and then you put the Bisquick mixture on top and bake it and then you have it skal mostly like chicken. and meatballs, but I'm going to try something different anyway and I was actually inspired by something that was on sale at the supermarket, so I'll share it with you.
What's my diced chicken? Okay, I'm going to prepare it. the filling for my chicken pot pies, so like I said, I'm just using that quick recipe. I have two cans of no salt added cream of chicken soup and I should have seasoned it a little more because you would be surprised. how much flavor is missing when you use these types of ingredients so I definitely should have put some poultry seasoning in definitely some more herbs and not increase the flavor so two cans of cream of chicken soup and then I'm I'm going to mix the chicken and then I have a bag of frozen mixed vegetables, there's corn, potatoes, peas, there's also some fava beans and I'm adding a lot of pepper and then some dehydrated dried onion flakes from Costco which are great. a must have when you're making frozen meals now.
I wanted to make a real type of chicken pot pie, but I really like the creaminess of this recipe and it was at the grocery store and I don't normally use them and I should have left it out. They sat at room temperature for 15 minutes, so I was looking at the register for what to do and I was like, okay, yeah, that's what I'm going to do, so anyway they were on sale for a dollar eighty-eight each and I thought I would. Try them and see if they were easy, anyway it's been 15 minutes now and the cake batter is much easier to work with and this was very easy to make as I was making a lot of frozen meals but if I had to make this again I would use the Pioneer Woman's recipe for pie crust.
It is one of the best recipes that exist. I've used it many times, but I thought it would be much easier since this is the first time I've tried it. Make it so all I'm going to do is fill my chicken pies nice and nice and plentiful and then what I'm going to do is just put the top layer on and then I'm just going to pinch them up and cut off the excess of my pie plates were a little smaller. I'm using the aluminum ones because I didn't want to use the glass ones because I was going to cook this from frozen, but I decided to use these and I would definitely buy some kind of the aluminum ones for next time so I could reuse them over and over again, so anyway I'm just going to put the tops on, pinch them all together and there you go: homemade chicken pot pies, so nothing special with the tops. just pinching the edges so that when they cook they don't like to fall apart.
I really want to make sure they're pinched so how I'm going to package them is I'm just going to put this press on and seal on top of it just for a little bit more security and then I'm going to wrap them really well with aluminum foil and then when I was at Dollarama I found little very cute labels to put on there and I just felt like doing it, but I'm definitely trying to use reusable containers, not plastic bags and stuff, and I'm trying to do the best I can and with aluminum foil it can be recycled, so I think this is an easier option. for my family, so I'm putting the stickers on now and these will go in my freezer.
I'm going to try to do an update on the freezer tour to give you a better idea of how I store everything I have. Different ways I highlight things. I will link a video below on how I do my inventory so my chicken pot pies are ready. Now I have the rest of the chicken and thanks once again to my sweet subscribers for being these Curtis. A kind of stone claws to help crumble. I'm still getting used to them but man oh man I can't wait until I can make pulled pork because this is going to be amazing in my crock pot just for pulling pork so anyway I'm going to make barbecue chicken sandwiches.
I've made these before for Andrew, but I'm putting a little spin on this and he honestly loved these ones he used to buy and we're in awe. frozen cakes but this is a much better option and of course I'll like the video of my container below so you know everything I'm using and when I saw these containers I knew they would be perfect for the freezer so I know. I'm just taking the roast chicken and putting it in the smaller one and then what I'm going to do is take the potatoes and put them in the other smaller one and so when Andrew goes to eat this, he has a kind of sandwich and then he has fries, home fries, whatever and then I'll also

serve

it with some fruit so it was the perfect size and then the other thing I'll do is put the bun in the biggest slot. and then I'm just going to put a slice of cheese in the middle so that when I go to heat them up he'll have a full dinner and I said, I'm going to show you guys, so keep watching how to heat them up, so here it is. the finished product, it will be great to have it ready to go.
I swear, Steve and I like to have soup or stews or something that Andrew doesn't eat and this way I know I have a good home cooked meal for him and when I go to freeze the days, all I do is just put the lids on, They're going to be used up in the next month, month and a half, and that way I can visually see what's in here, so I made those two frozen chicken meals and my kitchen is a mess, so I'm going to go ahead and clean it up because the The next three meals in the freezer will be dinner that night.
I'm starting one of three meals for this Sunday night dinner. I call it and I call this crazy night, it's one. one of those nights where everyone has what they like and that's just the way things are for our family and I thought this would be the perfect night to make some frozen meals so I'm going to start by dicing a large sweet onion. make chicken parmesan for myself because it's one of my favorite foods. Steve can't eat it and Andrew, when I make it, I like it with spaghetti noodles and Andrew doesn't like that, so I thought this would work.
I only have my big sweet onion. I should have added a little more garlic but I was using a can of small diced tomatoes and there was garlic too so I'm going to add that and unfortunately I didn't have tomato paste so I definitely wanted to make sure this wasn't too watery since I didn't have tomato paste to thicken it, so I thought, "I'm going to drain the little bit of excess liquid into this and I'm really glad I did. Now I'm going to add the jar of crushed tomatoes and then add my seasonings. I like it use Italian seasoning, a little parsley, a little basil and of course a lot of oregano, and one of the reasons I do it in the movie Heathers I know Winona Ryder's character said a lot of oregano and the mom of. spaghetti or something Anyway, this is the start of my marinara sauce for my chicken parmigiana and I also added two sugar cubes for Andrews to eat this will be cheesesteak sandwiches and I'm just having these. thinly sliced steaks I bought at Costco.
I think there are four here, really cute. I'm just using my really good scissors, these are from Ija Hinkle Knife Block. All in all, I'll try to find something similar and as it's below, these scissors are wonderful in the kitchen and I'm just squeezing the bug so I can get a good grip and then cut it really fine. all I'm going to do is cook this, my pasta sauce is starting to boil, it's starting to boil, it's starting to thicken nicely, but I really wish I had the tomato paste and now I've stocked my pantry with tomato paste, so I'm ready to go so I'm going to get these steaks, the steak cut into pieces but cooked so that way it's ready to go with the sandwiches later, so to get those things going I'm very good at multitasking and so.
It's something you have to work on whenever you make more than one frozen meal at a time, so I'll just take a large sweet onion, a large red pepper, and a large green pepper and cut them into thin slices. so that way they're ready to be cooked for the cheesesteak sandwiches and I'm also composting everything, since I'm doing well, what I'm going to do is I'm going to add all of this and see my pan and cook it. a little and just easy. I buy all my pans from Canadian Tire in Canada. I always buy them when they are available at a really good price and this was like a very expensive pen and I bought it for around $30 so if you live in Canada and I'm looking for really good pans stay tuned.
I always try to get the ones that can go in the dishwasher, there's nothing like dirty tea or anything like that, and that's what I do anyway. Now I'm going to go ahead and take the other half of the chicken I cooked earlier out of that package. I'm going to go ahead and prepare my chicken for the chicken parmesan, so of course I also wash my hands a lot here, so all I'm going to do is dip my chicken in the egg and then I'm going to put it in Italian breadcrumbs and the I'll prepare to fry them for my chicken parmesan and of course I'm always checking everything while I'm doing this to get everything. of my pans ready so I'm going to go ahead and put some butter and olive oil in a pan so I can prepare my chicken for frying and this is the way I do it. just fry my chicken and it's going to be nice and crispy and then my onions and my peppers are still cooking too so I'm turning them over to make sure they're all incorporated so all I'm going to do is take these four breasts of chicken and then just cook them and prepare them to use and that's what I do, so it cooks very well andI'm just going to take it off the heat and then I'm just going to turn the chicken over so that my four chicken breasts are you can see they were very crispy they have a little bit of coating so my steak, onions and peppers are ready.
I keep it simple with my cheesesteak. I'm just taking the chicken off the heat, putting my sauce back on and then all I do is put the chicken on. I add it with the sauce and it will finish cooking there and I just put the lid on and it steams. You've never dried chicken this way, so all I do with my Philly cheese sticks is put a lot of worship sauce on there. it's lower in sodium and it's a big burst of flavor and that's how I season it and then I have a package of provolone cheese and all I'm going to do is melt it in there so now I'm third it up for dinner.
I'm going to make a really nice dinner for Steve, so I've got these thick, delicious pork chops and I'm seasoning them with an organic salt-free seasoning and preparing them so the chicken is just right? Go to work. the cheese on the steak and the peppers and then I move on to the next thing and what I'm doing is I'm covering it to keep it warm. I also have headphones on just to listen to music and then what I'm going to do is take out another pan and then cook my husband's pork chops, he likes them just fried and all I'm going to do is brown the outside and then just put them on low heat. and then he let them finish cooking.
I also put a little bit of applewood smoked barbecue sauce on them and then a little bit of water and then I just put the lid on and steam it so I'm going to go ahead and flip my chicken and then I'll also add the freshly grated parmesan cheese , maybe a little bit of parsley and what I'm going to do is I'm going to boil the water and cook some green beans. and then that way Steve will have his vegetables to go with his dinner, so a little parsley in my chicken parmesan. I'm going to put the green beans in to cook them and then I'm also going to start boiling the water for my pasta and getting everything ready to go so I can get my dinner ready so we can all enjoy our dinners on this crazy night okay this is when everything It's starting to fit, so I have the sweet potatoes that I'm draining.
To get the liquid out of there, I'm getting my colander ready to drain the pasta and then what I'm going to do is mash these sweet potatoes, put in a little bit of butter and a lot of pepper for Steve, so I'll have them. I'm ready to go get him and his dinner tonight, of course, Charlie and Linus are making sure nothing is left on the floor and I'll just keep working through everything and cleaning up as I go to try to put things back together. in the refridgerator. as I can and I'm preparing everything there now and yes, everything is coming together now and everyone is hungry.
My kitchen smells amazing, there are so many different aromas, but I'm going to prepare everything. and then we can enjoy our dinner for three tonight and everyone will have their favorite dinner to have the finished product Andrews having your cheesesteak sandwiches with potatoes ketchup a small cup of fruit I have my chicken parmesan I will also have some leftovers for Lunch tomorrow and there's Steve's pork chops and green beans and I'm going to ignore this big mess because I know it'll all be worth it in the long run, okay, we're done eating. I've done most of the cleaning and now everything is more or less fine.
Now cooled, I'm going to go ahead and start putting them in the containers, so for Steve I have pork chops. I'm going to fill the other side with the green beans and then we'll also have some leftovers that we can eat the next night. something else and then I'm going to put a big spoonful of sweet potatoes in there and like I said, I'm going to show you how I heat this up so this is also a really good option if you live alone and you want to Like we had meat and potatoes. Steve also took us out for coffee that night and I'm really tired and I was finishing all of this up and then we were going to sit down and enjoy the coffee, so once again for Andrew, I'm just going to put the cheese on. meat sandwiches in these containers and then I'll put some potatoes in and then I'll use the sausage rolls and I had to cut them in half to make sure they fit so I was going to use this for dinner next time too. night for Andrew and also for Steve because it was amazing, it smells really good so it was nice to be able to reuse this for another night and then just scoop out a little bit more of the potatoes in there and then whatever doesn't fit.
I'm just going to add it to the steak mixture so that way you can enjoy it or we can all enjoy it, any leftovers for lunch or also for dinner the next night and then the last thing I'm going to put those rolls in there, Steve. Instead, I laughed, here's a product placement. I was taking the Sports in and out, so anyway, I just have the rest in my pasta there and then I didn't eat all of the loss of dinner today because it filled me up too much, so I have a little bit left. and then I'll just cut the chicken and put the sauce on.
I wish the sauce had been a little thicker, but it was still really, really good, but it should have been more prepared, so I'm just going to scoop a lot of sauce on the spaghetti and all of our frozen individual meals are ready to go and I'm going to to show, like I said, how I heat them, but a little extra sauce to do so. to keep this in the refrigerator and I'm going to use this for a pizza sauce, so there you have it, all finished product, the steak is ready to go, dinner is ready for Steve, so in one night, if Andrew and I are going to eat something like Sloppy Joes.
I have a nice home-cooked dinner for Steve and then we also have some leftovers, which is really nice, and there's my chicken parmesan. In fact, I'm really looking forward to that with some leftovers, so all my effort. The work has been worth it, my kitchen, as I said, is clean, everything is packed. Oh, everything was hand washed during dinner. It fits in the dishwasher and my kitchen is clean and feels great. The dishwasher is running and I invested in a toaster oven. and I'll use it to

reheat

some of my meals, my frozen meals, all in one day.
It was pretty simple and yes, it was a little complicated that night to cook three different meals, but it works great so I have everything in the freezer. And I'm going to show you how I heat them and how I

serve

them and the best thing I've bought in the last few weeks is a toaster oven and I'm going to put it to good use so here's how I

reheat

my frozen meals okay it's Friday the night. I decided to make this last minute and didn't see my chicken pot pie. I really wish I had, so all I'm doing is taking everything.
I'm going to take the wrapper off and then I'm going to put it on this old cookie sheet in case it overflows and I'm preheating, like I said, the oven to 400 degrees and then I thought this might take half an hour, but it honestly took like an hour and 15 minutes and I definitely would have given it some thought or left it out for a while before deciding to bake it but I wanted to see if it would cook from frozen and it did but it definitely took a long time and it definitely took a lot longer than the 30 minutes because it was pretty full , so it's finally ready.
I would definitely prefer to use my own pie crust. I think it would have been better and there it is all served, it's quite filling and I just served it with a side of Caesar salad, so this is what we had on Friday night. Andrew ate pizza. Steve loves this and he would definitely do it again. I thought about the cheesesteak sandwich, so all I'm going to do is put on a little bit of butter. a skillet I'm going to cook the potatoes so they're a little crispy on the outside so they're nice and crispy for Andrew.
I'm just taking my little tray out of my toaster oven and putting the rolls in there. I'm heating the filling in the microwave but it's not necessary if you don't want you can do it in the toaster oven too but it would take a little longer you can heat them in a pan throw Put them in the oven however you want to heat it so I'm going to put this in the toaster oven . I have it set to grill and it looks very nice and practical, very pretty, and this one was the perfect perfect size for this little cheese steak. sandwich I'll do it for about five minutes and this is what it looks like when I took it out so there's the finished product there's your delicious hearty cheesesteak sandwiches as you can see the potatoes crisp up a little bit. a little bit of ketchup, a small cup of fruit and some water so Andrew has a really nice home cooked dinner one night when Steve and I were eating something he didn't like so it was really just another Sunday night and we were gone most of the day.
I knew this would be the perfect night to use this, so they are partially thawed and I used my glass cake plates. I didn't want to use them for my cakes because I knew they would be perfect for reheating, so I did the whole thing anyway. It was covering them with aluminum foil. I have my oven preheated to 350 degrees and then I'm going to go ahead and put them in there and then our dinner will be ready and Andrews will have the roast chicken sandwiches in May, so I put them in the same way. The same way I made the Philly cheesesteaks, the potatoes in the oven, I microwaved the chicken and then just put it in the toaster oven to roast it to toast it and melt the cheese, and this is really working.
Great, I'm very happy with this toaster oven, so in a couple of minutes you can see that the bread is well melted and then I'm going to put everything on the plate. There's the Andrews BBQ chicken sandwich, his fries, he'll have pears that night and ketchup. He always likes ketchup with his fries because we refer to them as fries, so he loved this and then it's nice and hot, you can see the steam coming out, it was a little watery like I said. I really wish we had the tomato paste, but it's okay, so these are our dinners anyway.
I'll heat it up nicely to make dinner at home and we were out most of the day so I have leftovers for lunch too, very happy with the way my five turned out. frozen meals chicken pot pie my husband loved it. I wish I had put more spice on it when I was making it and I would definitely watch it next time before heating it because it took forever, it took forever, but it's okay, I just ate it a little bit later that night and it was good and there were leftovers from lunch from the day. following.
My little toaster oven is great for heating up those little sandwiches with a little help from the microwave and you can also heat it in the oven. I showed you how to do it and if you want to put it on a plate and microwave it, that works well too, so five different recipes it was really nice to have that chicken parmesan on a night when I didn't make it. I don't want to eat everything pumpkin. I wanted pasta and it was really good. The only thing is that next time I would make sure to have tomato paste, but it was still very good, so anyway I hope you enjoyed this video, if so please.
