Jun 03, 2021
foreigner Hello, it's me, today is another episode of my beloved series Squishy Makeovers. I'm really excited to make another one of these, so as always, I'm going to fix and paint three damaged Squishies that my viewers sent me. The ones I'm going to make today were selected by you based on my last unboxing video where I opened the last batch of donations and I didn't try to influence the vote in any way, so you Completely on

your

own, you selected three different

squishies

to the ones that you wanted to see me give them a makeover. I'm going to fix them.

I'm going to paint them. I'm going to do other weird things. No, um, let's get into this process. starting with a fun fact about soft roast. In fact, I forgot to say soft roast in only two three videos and there was outrage about it. I'm sorry, are you happy now? Don't kill me, maybe I should say it for those wasted moments. Soft roast with soft rose bite. Roasted

squishy

now we can call it even okay, let's do it now starting with this creature. It's a difficult dinosaur to distinguish, but it has a face. Look at it there.

More Interesting Facts About,

I know exactly who it is. Came from a cheap DIY soft kit. called squashies, sorry, same as the kit our beloved pickle the dinosaur came from, which makes them cousins. You can literally see this Squishy in the pictures where I was buying pickles. It looks like the previous owner started the paint job only to realize that the paint on that kit stinks. I will say that he is not as cutely shaped as Pickle. His arms are so small. She's just a little Derpy. I hope with a new paint job we can at least show it off a little.

The first step is to get rid of as much of this old paint as possible. The surface of the foam is super smooth, so the paint hasn't adhered very well, but since it's such a thin layer, it was a little difficult to peel off. It kept breaking off. I guess I could have painted a couple of coats on top so we could get a more satisfying peel. I just don't want to. This is a difficult time in

your

life. I don't know if you've ever experienced it. but being skinned alive can be a little uncomfortable so look who's here to give his silent support stay strong buddy okay looks like this is the best I'm going to do so now I'm sanding it so that this time when I paint He will stay there, let's go.

I want a fresh start, so I'm using some flat white fabric paint as a base coat. After a quick coat, I noticed the really strange curvature of his mouth. It's a little creepy. I feel like it would show. It would be better if my mouth was straight, so I decided to bring some puffy paint to fill in that indentation and cover it up. If you are doing something like this with your own projects, you have to use puff paint to fill. in the gaps because you need a thick paint to really fill the groove for the most part, so let's go back to finishing my base coat and now for the color, I have three pre-mixed colors here and I'm just going to touch them up.
I am a doctor. Wow, that's from a super old video. I'm adding fresh paint in there and getting the color I want instead of starting from scratch. Are you ready to be orange? Oh no, don't eat the paint, so here we go. I came to the conclusion that orange was the correct color after eliminating basically all other colors. I can't use the green that has already been talked about. I also want to stay away from purple for obvious reasons. I may or may not paint another soft pink later in this article. video so that's red it would be scary Yellow would actually be yellow it would have been nice I ended up choosing orange until I realized how ugly it looks no, I changed my orange paint to blue and let's change it from orange to ooh well That's just that the first layers continue to go over it originally.
I wasn't going to make blue because it's closer to green and I wanted the pickles to be different from each other, but I decided it was less problematic to have them similar. coloring one of them looks absolutely horrible by the way, if you're new here and not familiar with the sky pickle I keep talking about, I'll link the two videos in the description where it was created, but I'll try not to do everything This is about pickles, let's not let cousin Derp get overshadowed again. I painted its belly a lighter blue color and made the spines a darker type of turquoise blue, just increasing that color and ah, you can see. his creepy mouth damn speaking of his creepy mouth it's time to paint that along with some little eyes hello those are actually nostrils his eyes are back here ok he has a face now fix that it finally looks a bit better.
I haven't done one of those

squishy

paint kits in a long time. I think I still have some lying around, yes, but I've resigned myself to the fact that they all suck, so I gave up and now it's time to add them. Classic places like that guy said he wasn't going to mention them anymore because he wanted them to look related, there are different colors, different shapes, but I still want them to have the same kind of style, you know, after a few quick little cleanups, here it is . I mean it's much better than before. I don't think he's as cute as Pickle.
It's not too bright. It is a bit akward. His face is like on top of his head. I don't know why I felt the need to keep trying to do it. he eats things, he's just cousin Derpy, so here they are together, no, don't eat pickles here, I think they'll get along great, I think considering what I had to work with this makeover it turned out okay, okay, next I'm going to I'll be working on the two foxes starting with Mom. I think the shape of this is very cute. However, the design is not that attractive to me.
The really light blue color is quite nice, but since they paired it with these neon yellow eyes, it's just a really strange color combination. They were trying to make these cute eyes by adding little hearts. Those are still demon eyes. His face looks kind of cute when you squish it, although there is some damage here, here and here, I'm not exactly sure how that happened, but. everything needs to be fixed this one has a more traditional color scheme for a fox. I think overall the way the feet are painted is a little cuter, although they look like bullet holes, and the print on the eyes is slightly off. your eyeliner is a little crooked, your face looks cute when you squish it too oh no, everyone needs a good sanding and a good cut.
Everyone keeps wondering why an adult uses children's scissors, that's what they're not worried about. The other weird shit I do know is the size of my scissors, but just to put your mind at ease, these aren't actually kid's scissors, they're precision scissors, now the baby can step aside while I do the repairs on mommy, like this which I'm using my puppy paint to close any tears and cover that weird rough spot oh hi these are two mini poop

squishies

I'm going to use this one is really cheap and has a partially pink paint job I couldn't even bother coloring everything, it's not very smooth friend, why are you shaking so hard?
And the mini mini poop is much cuter and softer. It has a face and a cherry. Oh wait, this may not be poop. I'm going to break both cell phone straps. and the ball chain on these and then do a couple of quick repairs just to get them into shape and now gather the foxes and the poop, whatever it is, and these will serve as little scoops on top of their little heads, so first I'm going to make a slit at the bottom, okay, baby scissors won't work, wait. Oops, I've noticed that one of the biggest struggles people have is the gluing process, use a reasonably small amount of glue, don't soak it. glue because it will take forever to dry the elastic band in place while it dries because it will take 30 minutes to an hour and when you glue the pieces make sure it is after sanding and before painting otherwise the glue may does not adhere properly. once the glue is dry very carefully remove the rubber bands, it won't be a super tight joint we just need it to hold long enough to secure the pieces completely using puffy paint to fill the gap between the two pieces so I'm going to work on them one at a time now that the baby is kicking again.
I'm going to start with a white base coat since we have that dark blue paint that I want to go over so I did two coats over the entire body and now she's ready to decorate remember what I said before about the pink yeah this is what I'm painting or pink some of you have pointed out how I say I hate the fleshy pink color that so many animal Squishies come in, why do you still use this? fleshy pink for the animals, makes them look like they've been shaved, but then I turn around and paint the soft ones pink, well, simple, there's a difference between a fleshy pink and a bubblegum pink.
Shade matters, those subtle differences to me are outrageously important even though they are almost exactly the same, which is a perfect transition where I feel the need to adjust this pink slightly. I wanted to have more of a strawberry vibe and I'm going to remake that so I'm doing a dessert theme with these foxes. I was so obsessed with these when I opened them, but then when you guys actually ordered them, I was like, "Oh, I don't even have an idea for these, so I shot myself in the foot by talking about feet that don't." It really looks like the bottom of a fox paw, but it's better than this.
Usually in soft

makeovers

there is at least one soft food, but this episode was all about animals, so I found a way to squeeze in the desserts. Somehow my brushes are literally falling apart. I have to stop leaving them in the water for so long. With these designs, the concept comes dangerously close to another pair of dessert-themed animals that I already know and love, so I definitely want them to be different and have their own distinct style. There is room for more. More than one pear-shaped dessert animal in my Squishy collection. I'm giving him green eyes to emphasize the strawberry theme.
This is the part where I stare intently at this face in desperation hoping I don't ruin this because it looks a little weird, right? now I decided to do a little gradient on the eyes to make them really interesting and give them a nice pop. I ended up giving him eyelids because his eyes were wide open and gave him a sort of psychopathic expression. I tried the eyelid. thing in the past and it didn't really work out very well, but I think I got my way this time, they look good and make her look a little calmer and gentler.
I love calm and gentle. I added something nice. red cheeks and many strawberry freckles. She looks like an animal version of the strawberry girl I recently drew, but she's about to get a little sweeter. I'm adding some dripping white stuff under that spoonful of whatever. I'm very well. to describe things and I'm also adding the fallen frosting to her feet and bringing my babies oh I missed you here we go I felt like the dough on her head looked a little plain compared to the rest of her so I added a little to it of strawberry sauce, okay and here is the final result.
I am super happy with this makeover. I think it's a huge improvement. I love her personality. If I hadn't seen it before the makeover, it might be. confused about what kind of animal it is, she lost the cunning of it, this is what we call glitter and she loves it now it's the baby's turn, she just made it reach directly to the base layer that, for some reason, the phone. it was repelling the paint. That's unique, she has acidic skin or something, but I kept going over it over and over again and it ended up fine.
I feel obligated to mention that yes, Cousin Derp and the two foxes were the most requested from my last time. unboxing video, but definitely a close second place was the Giant Pig Squishy. I noticed a lot of you wanted to see me do that, but a significant number of you also asked that I not give that pig a makeover because he's already super cute. and you didn't want it to be ruined, so thank you for the really touching faith, so yeah, that's why that one didn't end up being chosen, so I've created a nice cream color here and now I'm adding a little bit. candy colored swirls almost look like tiger stripes which would have been so cute if it was a tiger oh well I don't think I have any candy themed squishies so I was really excited about this idea.
I kept his eyes wide open because he's a wide-eyed baby, he's new here, and he's just in awe of the world. I don't know. I gave him a small expression. I added a few more details, all of which I think are fine. What bothers me is the dark brown I used for his eyes, you can barely tell the pupils apart, but I wanted it to match the chocolate sauce I'm adding now, so that's why I stuck with that brown. I think maybe the people won. I don't like his eyeliner, it looks a little harsh, but without it it looked very strange, so I like it better with the eyeliner I put on him with just a foot to dip the chocolate.
I thought it would look cuter on him. I only have one uh I just uncovered my paint here and added a little drizzle ofcaramel to your whipped cream thing and voila, you're done. I love how the colors on her are softer and more neutral and she looks so sweet. I think it just shows. much cuter now than before I really love this little guy, it seems like he's discovering something new. Oh, these two look really cute together. I didn't try too hard to make their designs similar because they already have the exact same shape. So I went crazy with the paint jobs so here are all three. The squishies I created today just move him around before he tries to eat them.
Sometimes you guys request the more complicated projects for this series, but for this week these were actually pretty basic

makeovers

and I had fun focusing on the decorating part, so thank you. You for watching and we'll see you next week, bye, thank you.
