Spraying a Car in the WORLD'S BRIGHTEST Glow in the Dark Pigments

Jun 06, 2021
Hey guys, it's great to submerge your car and today we have a very special video for you. Now hang out with me for a second because we have a few things to unpack before we get started. For years, people have been asking me to do a gloss. car in the

dark

with immersion and for several different reasons, I haven't really been interested in the idea. The first thing is that we have played with luminous

pigments

in the past and they are not very easy to use, it is difficult to get full coverage. it's hard to get an even shine all over the car, the

pigments

don't really feel good and a lot of the ones that claim to be very good don't shine very bright, they don't shine long and they don't last very long, so I wasn't really interested in promoting something I really wouldn't want to do in my own car for our customers to do, that's not how we work, however enough people have asked for it over a long enough period.

In the time we're going to do it, we're going to make a full scale light up car and we're just going to do it for fun for your guys to see the enjoyment of, so if we're going to do it, we wanted to do it right. I went out, did my research, found eight different shimmer pigments that claim to be high-quality shimmer pigments, and we put them to the test. We wanted to see which ones were compatible with our dyc gallons in the first place. We wanted to see which ones

glow

ed the

brightest

and thirdly, we wanted to see which ones held their charge the longest.

More Interesting Facts About,

spraying a car in the world s brightest glow in the dark pigments...

Of the eight, two of them stood out big time and ironically both companies claim to have the

brightest

luminous pigments in the

world

. In the

world

, the first one that stood out was this illuminated product, you may have seen it before. It's from culturehustle.com. The second is from my friends at kp pigments. They just released their krypto bright pigment after testing. They were both basically aimed at Let's face the shine of the glitter and how long they hold their charge, so since we have the two brightest glitter pigments in the world at our disposal and I have a bunch, I figure what I'll do is mix them both together and use them in the car okay so this is the car we are working on we have the evo here and we have a solid white plastic spray base on top of it you can peel it now we are just using the glitter pigments on the top coat for our effect of gloss now, white base will probably be a must, these pigments will dry as an off-white color and going over a

dark

base would probably be a nightmare, so to start, white base and like I said, I have a ton of these two pigments for work, so I'm thinking 50 grams per gallon, basically a load of 25 grams of each.

I'm going to mix four gallons. I have a feeling we're going to pile on layer after layer until we finally get this thing solid and my plan is obviously to make the cabin well lit, we're going to drop a layer, let it dry, turn off the lights in the cabin , check where our weak areas are and keep building, and then hopefully we will get a solution. Solid even shine all over the car, wish us luck, get it right guys, the first coat is on. I'm going to ask Gabe to turn off the lights here so I can show you exactly where we are, so that's kind of brilliant. to shine but as you can see we really have a lot of work ahead of us, let's get back to the routine, okay guys we're done and our evo now

glow

s in the dark and it's crazy, now I know you want to go straight to the reveal.

I don't blame you, but hang out with me for a second. We have a couple of things we need to cover first. We used all four gallons of the shimmer pigment in the evo to get solid, even coverage all around and we knew it well. 50 grams per gallon wasn't going to be enough so we increased each gallon to 100 grams per gallon of glitter pigment and I know that sounds like a lot but it flowed perfectly well through the dyc sprayer and luckily these pigments are very affordable so No it does a lot of damage to the wallet to have that many grams per gallon and trust me you want the coverage because the bright pigments can be a little delicate and you want it to be solid and even throughout now this is not an easy easy project it is definitely more complicated than many of our other colors, so if you're going to do this on your entire car, I know there are many of you who want to make sure you go into it knowing that it's a challenging project, but it's not.
As easy to use as most of our colors, it's definitely more advanced. I have no idea how long these pigments will last long term and I have no idea if it is legal in your area to drive a shiny car. I know it sounds. It's a bit silly to think it might be illegal but just check your area with the local authorities and make sure this is okay because you could understand that it's a bit distracting to have a shiny car driving up and down the road so always It is safe. Double check the pigments we use today, crypto bright and illuminated, they are excellent.
I tried them side by side. I don't see any advantage in using either. I don't think it's necessary to mix them, they work very well. similar, so there is a link in the description box below where you can get both pigments, use one, use the other, mix them however you want, the end result is worth it if you are willing to put in the time and work now. They will be great for small projects, but again, if you want to do it all over your car, there is also a link in the description box below to a glow in the dark car kit that will include everything you need. this project is finished now we want to show you this car shining we tried to take it outside there are too many lights on the street it's too well lit we didn't get the glowing effect we want so we're going to show it to you in a controlled environment we're going to load this up as much as we can and we'll show it to you we will show on the booth, maybe in the warehouse and hopefully it will blow your mind because when I see this in person it's hard to understand, thank you.
