By far my favorite thing in this video is what I came up with for storing spices and also the transformation under my sink, nothing beats an organized

space

. in my opinion, so stay tuned to join me today in the organizing process. Hopefully this gives you some ideas for your own space and I'll have all the products I use in this video linked in my description box for you too. The first thing I'm doing here is opening all the products I had ordered. I made a couple of orders. I shopped through Amazon, also Target and Bed Bath and more, but I just wanted to get everything together before I started. organize because it is very frustrating when you start an organizing project and you don't have everything you need ready.

I don't want to stop having to do this kind of thing later, so I took everything out of its packaging. I have everything set up and ready to go. The first area I'm going to work on is under my sink. I knew this was going to take longer so I wanted to get this out of the way first so like any other organizing project I'm starting by taking everything out and then I'm just going to clean it up and wipe it down to clean under this sink. I'm going to use my e-cloths. I have been totally obsessed with e-cloths since my subscribers.
small space organization on a budget 2021 renter friendly kitchen organization hacks ideas
They recommended them to me. I especially love the stainless steel e-cloths. They have been fantastic at cleaning the appliances in my apartment. I was having a major problem with the stripes, so a big thank you to everyone who recommended them to me. I will leave a link in the description box below where you can purchase e-fabrics. They are worth every penny and I promise you will love them. I used to think I had a lot of dreams and light in my life so my glass was empty but along came you, I bought this specifically to put under my sink.
I love using these two-tier sliding basket organizers under my sink. I think it's perfect for things you grab all the time, so I put all my kitchen towels on top. I don't have any kind of drawer that I can put them in in my kitchen so they had to go under my sink and then in the bottom one I'm just putting my magic erasers, the sponge daddies, I have a couple of other related sponges. things and some dish soap as well as the brush that I used to clean my sink so they're easily accessible and then these baskets that I already had under my sink, I'm just putting them back under it, I kind of take the things I'll separate one and again as I organize and I'm sure many of us are like that.
I just want to make sure I make the most of the space I have, so I'm going to tidy it up and rearrange it. Several times before deciding on something, I ended up putting one of my cabinet shelf organizers under the sink. I just think it's very important that you use your vertical space as much as possible when you don't have a lot of space. That way I can put things underneath and I can put things on top and I'm making a lot more use of the vertical space that would otherwise be wasted. Now my life is an adventure and you are the reason.
We are far from the city after all this cute little trick I saw on Pinterest and I thought it was the best, it's very economical because all you need are some command strips and this little organizer, I think it's used for folders, papers or something like that in an office, all I know is that it's incredibly cheap. I will use it to store things like aluminum foil or parchment paper, wax paper, plastic ziploc bags, I have extremely limited drawer space. My kitchen and cabinet space, so finding a place for all that stuff has been very difficult for me and I found myself putting them in several different drawers, so I'm freeing up a lot of space by putting this in here and storing all that stuff.
This is one of my favorite things in this video. I think it's a cool little trick and I hope you like it too. I won't make it easy for you now that you have two minutes of my time. Now I'm just giving you a quick look at the finished product. I am very happy with the way my organization under the sink turned out. It feels a million times better when I have to go in there now and I'm not sifting. going through a bunch of junk trying to find what I need, this was a really satisfying transformation for me because under the sink had been bothering me for quite a while, literally since I moved two months ago, next thing I wanted work was on this. cabinet where I keep all the plates and bowls and Carson's plates and bowls, it was very difficult to organize them because many of his plates and bowls were odd sizes and didn't fit well on top of each other, also the cabinets.
In my kitchen they are very high and I can't reach everything that is above. I'm actually standing on a ladder in this clip, so I don't want to use the space above to store some of Carson's things because I don't want to climb the ladder every time I need to grab something from him, so I love these ladder organizers. cabinets that you can see here, they just create more vertical space like I was saying when I was organizing under the sink and these ones that I have are from Target and they are so cheap and very cheap and they work great, try to hide it, but you had me guys, I felt kind of giddy when I saw this online and I was just praying it would fit my cabinets correctly and I can't even tell you how excited I was?
I was looking for something like this and couldn't find it anywhere but I ended up finding it in the bed bathroom and beyond so it actually clips under your cabinet shelf and is just again using up its vertical space that it would otherwise way I would be wasting. This particular one only holds about six spices and folds up and down when you need to grab them and your cabinet drawers will close perfectly well because I don't like sticking out anywhere if you have an incredibly large spice collection, this probably won't work for you and in that case I would probably recommend spice liners for the inside of your drawers.
I know there are some really good ones on Amazon for utopia which I love, but for me where I only have a few spices that I use regularly, this was perfectly fine and to keep them all looking nice and uniform, I'm putting them all in glass jars to spices and I'm using an embossing label maker to put labels on all of them, this label maker was really cheap and it was from Target so like I said I'm going to have everything linked in the description box below, this is the future, I I speak and I just want to throw this away. there because I know I'm going to get comments because I got a ton of comments on the original video.
Yes, I know you don't need scissors to use this label maker. This was actually the first time I used it and I didn't read the instructions beforehand and I just wasn't paying much attention so yeah I know now I know there's a cut off button so in the future I definitely won't be taking the ones out. scissors and you don't need scissors. so I can use this label maker so I won't listen to it would you talk more oh no because you're just knocking me down but now I am so I can't see the sky sooner or later you're acting here is the finished spice rack I think this is the best thing ever and maybe it's ridiculous, but I'm telling you, seriously, I was so giddy about this, I think it's amazing, the next area I wanted to work on was where I was storing my pots and pans, this was difficult and I already used the doors of this cabinet by placing a command hook on one of my doors and hanging my oven mitt from there, which is one of the tricks I would definitely do.
I recommend it, I really like it, but I needed to put some kind of mechanism in there to store my pots so they were easy to grab. The one I bought here, you see, is not the best, it was very cheap and I expected it. would work better than it does. I can store two of my pots in it, none of the others will fit so I'll try to find a better one that I can link for you guys but this works fine for me, it's just not exactly what I wanted but in order to use it I needed to move the shelf that was under this cabinet because there was not enough space to put it there, sooner or later I can be anything, just like you.
I can see I played around with it a bit, tried to find a good way to store things, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted. I'm sure there's something better out there but again I was left This video was really cheap for this video so this one wasn't the right one but that's okay because most importantly I'm going to show you what I came up with for Save the lids on your pots and pans. I found some really interesting things to Use them for this are from the brand joseph and joseph, who is who made the spice organizer that I just used a couple of minutes ago.
I really like this brand, I think they are great and none of their products require piercing or anything like that. just have 3m strips on the back so they stick directly to the doors and won't damage the inside of your cabinets or anything, that's why they are perfect for

renter

s and these lid holders just stick directly to the back of your doors you can also place them on the inside of the cabinet where you have space, but for me the doors were perfect and now they are very easy to grab and do not take up space in the cabinet or create clutter. and making it difficult for me to get to the things I need, nothing because practice makes perfect, you know, this fight has a purpose and we grow, so whatever role we have to take on next, all I need to know is when I first moved into my apartment.
I didn't have this cabinet, I actually bought it myself, it was from Target, but I think they sell it on Amazon too. I'm going to link it for you like everything else, but this is a super cheap pantry cabinet from closetmaid, it's like 60 or 70 dollars and what I did was I took off the white handles that came with it and replaced them with posts that look like the ones in my kitchen so it honestly feels like it belongs here now and I've been I loved it when I first moved in I was storing all my food in my cabinets and that made it very very difficult for me because I didn't have room for anything more, so for a long time I lived with so many boxes. in my kitchen because I couldn't fit everything in my cabinets with all the food, plus we are basically going through the apocalypse so needing to have extra food on top of that was very difficult, other than just having a few baskets in here I really hadn't organized the space so I wanted to work on that a little bit in this video.
I ended up moving a shelf to make the space make a little more sense. I also used some of my cabinet organizers to create some more vertical space like I did in other areas of my kitchen and this is by no means perfect pantry organization, but if you're on a

budget

, don't worry about those things Honestly, it doesn't really matter if your pantry looks beautiful and perfect. The goal of organizing a space is simply to make it a little easier for you to see what you have so you don't waste food and it's definitely not about how beautiful your pantry is. pantry and what labels and containers you have and how well they go with each other and everything else, honestly, none of that matters just organize the space and the way that makes the most sense for you and choose not to care that it's not perfect, looking look back at the good times with a different view. of my life could have been my skill makeup we are about to reach the end of this video when I finish organizing my pantry.
I really hope you enjoyed it and got a lot of information out of it.helpful on how you can organize your space. I am very happy to have done all this. It gives me a lot of mental clarity to have an organized space and I put it off for so long because honestly, spending money on things like this is not my favorite. what to do, but I set a budget and stuck to it and I'm so happy I ended up doing it. I have a lot more that I need to organize not only in my kitchen but throughout my apartment, so if you are new here don't forget to subscribe to my channel so you don't miss those videos and turn on the notification bells.
Thank you very much for watching and I hope you come back for the next one. Life is a winding road. It is not known where it is going. Driving through days and nights. I don't stop at the traffic light Hello everyone and welcome back to my channel for another video this week. We are focusing on my bathroom, doing some cleaning and decluttering. I'm going to show you how I maximize the space in my bathroom and some affordable ways to organize your space if you really don't have much, so I hope this video not only gives you some motivation but also some ideas that you can use at home to organize your bag .
I'm still going to keep my head up, so My camera just didn't record this, but I just put it together. I bought it on Amazon. It was pretty cheap. I don't remember how much, but I'll link it in my store if you're interested. I want to tell you. They were like 20 30 or something like that, but I'm going to use this here in the corner for a bunch of different things and I'm really excited about this because the situation I have in the corner right now is It's not very good. I keep all of Carson's bath towels and stuff in here, since he uses my bathtub, so I usually put them in there and there's a ton of stuff in here, a ton of stuff that doesn't match and doesn't really have a place.
So this will save me a lot of space and was very easy to put together. It probably took me two minutes and I wish I had the pictures of me putting it together but for some reason my camera wasn't recording so it was actually really easy and quick, no real assembly required, you literally just stick things in the holes and push them in its place and it's that easy so I really like it a lot my kitties will be on me during this whole process. video so if you don't like cats you have come to the wrong place but these are my foster kittens and they are very curious and interested in what I am doing so be prepared to see a lot of kittens running around . this video, this three tier rolling organizer is probably my favorite thing about this video.
I was saving all the wipes I used when Carson was in the bathroom, I just threw them in a bucket in the corner. I really wanted something that could store your bathroom related products and then just some odd things. This is just perfect. I bought it for 21 on Amazon and it was worth every penny. It is available in a few different sizes. You could get one with just two levels. You could get one. With four tiers, if you need that many, you can also use it for a variety of different things, for example an art cart, which was another idea I had when looking at this product.
It's very versatile, but it's perfect for my bathroom because I can unfold it and use it when I bathe my toddler, but then I can put it next to the cabinet here in this awkward space and you won't see it anymore. I will have this and any other products that are available. It's worth mentioning in this video in my Amazon store under bathroom organization, so it's very easy for you guys to go and check things out and buy if you're interested, and that's in my description box below. I am very exposed when they keep me. I wonder if you know I'll do anything to be in your arms again, so give me a sign, give me a sign, oh, give me a sign, baby, give me a sign, just give me one more, I'm talking to you, here we go new.
I'd like to see if you've been texting me, where do we go from here? I want to go in with everything, so give me a sign. I want to point out that my bathroom is not the smallest bathroom in the world. I've definitely seen smaller bathrooms. My apartment actually has pretty decent storage in the bathrooms, lots of drawers, big cabinets under the sinks, so it's not that bad, but I wanted to direct this video to other people who are renting and maybe don't have a lot of space . who need help figuring out how to use the space they have, although my bathroom is not the smallest bathroom out there and I am very lucky, I think these ideas that I am sharing in this video will help people who do have I want to mention one more space small just because I'm so picky with myself but the lighting in this video is super dull, I had no natural light to work with and the lights in my bathroom just turn everything into a yellowish tone and it's really hard. to have good lighting here, so be patient.
I know it's not the most beautiful video I've ever posted, but I promise you that the ideas I give you in this video are worth it. I could say I finally did it. about you, but that's not the truth, everyone always falls in love again, what's wrong with them? No. I bought these drawer dividers on Amazon and a pack of four was really affordable. These are adjustable. They are super resistant. They are really easy. to use and I love them so I would definitely recommend these drawer dividers. It's much easier than trying to play Tetris with a bunch of different containers to find a pattern that fits so you can organize all your stuff, so this is a real affordable way to divide a drawer so you don't have things rolling around in the drawer and becoming a mess all the time with no one.
I never look for perfection when I'm organizing. I'm just not in that phase. In my life now I'm just looking for function, so I try to organize things in a way that makes sense to me and makes me feel good, and that's the only thing that really matters to me. I'm not doing any of this to make my space look Pinterest-worthy and you don't need to either, it's just not realistic for most people to have their home like a showroom all the time and I'm not one. exception. I wish I could say I'm finally over you. but that's not the truth.
Once I was done dividing my drawers with the drawer dividers and just trying to reorganize them a little bit, I had junk and clutter everywhere so I'm just picking all of that up and throwing it away and getting it out of my way, I also wanted to clean my bathroom that day, so I'm trying to pick everything up here because it feels really good to have a newly organized space that's also really clean. I've tidied and organized under my sink so many times, so I didn't want to go too deep into this video. As far as that goes, the systems I have in there have been working well, so I use a shelf lifter and then I also have a two-tier pull.
Our drawer organizer is similar to the one I use in my kitchen and many of you loved my kitchen organization video so I also use it in my bathroom and it works great. I'm tired of living in the dark. It's just that my heart can't take it I didn't know what it would cost me When I let you go I feel alone and I'm just singing It should have been you another time in another place I only know it could have been You What a crime and what a shame to let it go . Sometimes I just don't know what to do.
It should have been you. I could be driving to your house. But now the crown. I never knew how much. Sometimes I just don't know what. to do that I could be wrapped around your arms instead of mine, the next thing I wanted to do was quickly check Carson's bath toys, he really wasn't using the vast majority of them anymore and they were just taking up a lot of space. I didn't want to surprise him and get rid of everything at once, so I just went through and got rid of some of the older stuff and the stuff that I definitely wouldn't miss if I got rid of them.
He usually brings his own toys. he goes into the bathroom, picks out some trucks or whatever and brings them with him, some Paw Patrol figures and that's fine with me, I don't really care that he doesn't like playing with bath toys and he just brings his own, so strangers or strangers and finally once all that was done I just wanted to clean my toilet and I mentioned in the last of my last videos that I don't really enjoy cleaning my toilet on camera but you said a lot. which you like because it motivates you to get up and clean yours, so I thought I'd include it in this video and I use my Clorox disposable sanitary wand to do that and then I just use some disinfectant wipes to clean the rest.
I'm going to go to the bathroom, so first of all, I really love this. I am very happy about this. I think it will be really nice to sit here giving Carson a bath to just reach out and grab whatever he needs. and then I have room to store my shower cleaner in there too. I get a lot of questions about that. I bought it at Target, but I'm pretty sure I can find it on Amazon, so I'll link to it in my store if you're interested. Check it out because every time I use it I get questions about it, but yeah, I really like it.
I think it will be good just for storing things related to Carson's bathroom and then as extra trash bags for convenience and being able to grab them. I don't know why I find it easier to have them here than to have them under the sink. It's probably exactly the same, but for me it feels a little easier and I also have my travel clothes steamer. These are some Q-tips and extra toilet paper because I love having it everywhere. I never want to run out of toilet paper, that would be horrible. I also have the whale that I use to rinse Carson's hair and then this rack.
Right here, this shelf right here is from Target from the Hearthand Hand collection. I've had it for a long time, so I don't know if it's still on its site, but if it is, I'll link to it every time I show this. my videos I also get questions about it, I really like it, it's not going so well, I feel like in this apartment, I like the colors and stuff, but I didn't want to get rid of it because I love it so keep it on display. and I always keep some of the products I use most frequently at the top and then Q-tips and decor items.
I never really use these towels, they've been here forever, they're mainly for decoration, but there are a couple of them missing, so I guess I used some recently, I made myself this little makeup caddy here, um, it was unfinished from Michael's and I had these little circular wooden knobs, I took them off and got these from Target just to make it look a little bit fancier and I dyed this as you can see, I didn't dye the back, this is what it looks like before, I was a little vague, but It's usually not noticeable it's just the fact that it's right up against the mirror in this apartment and people also ask me a lot if I ever clean my makeup brushes, I do but I wear makeup every day so they look like this all the time and I hate cleaning them, it's definitely one of the jobs I dread the most. random but this is the best makeup brush ever so if you need a good makeup brush I love art brushes they are amazing anyway off topic in this drawer I used one of the dividers of drawers, these are amazing as it is really sturdy. very easy to use, this pack of theirs was also pretty inexpensive and I just like it because it divides the drawer so when you open it and close it it's not like everything is rolling around everywhere, so I really like these and the I used. one in almost every drawer, it's a really cheap way to divide drawers without having to buy a bunch of bins and then try to play tetris to figure out where the bins will fit, so there's really no rhyme or reason why I feel like it . where I have stuff, to me there is, but I feel like anyone else would look at this and say it's not that organized, but I'm not trying to be perfect here, I'm just trying to make it convenient for me. when I'm trying to get ready and stuff, these are like extra products that I don't use very often, these are more like my normal hair elastic things and then I don't know how Gimme Brow got in there um and then.
These are tools for when I'm styling my hair. There are extra makeup products in here that I don't really use very often so I didn't bother organizing this, but it's just a bunch of extra makeup products and then down. here this has really decluttered a lot over time so I don't have too much down here just some cleaning supplies and then just a bunch of stuff that didn't really have a better place and then all my nail stuff too. The last time I did this, a lot of you asked me what the nail kit I bought was because I was talking about it.
It's from Olive in June and I love it. I have the box with everything and it makes doing my nails very easy and long lasting. Long time I need to make them again they are super chipped at the moment but I seriously made them a few weeks ago you can see how much growth there has been and like a couple of them they don't even look that bad so Thisit stays on for a long time and it's super easy and then it's just more likely and it ends here and then this is where I've always kept Carson's towels so when he comes out of the bathroom I can grab a towel. from here quick and then up here I used a divider just to keep this all from turning like I was saying before so this is like my blow drying section so I have my blow drying brush I have the the comb that I use to style my hair or not style my hair, part my hair when it's wet and then my dryer and then here I just have my brush that I use all the time and the curling iron and the hair straightener so it just helps to kind of split it up there a little bit. and then up here I used a divider because I have these spice rack liners that I love to do this you just cut them to fit in your drawer and then they hold your produce like perfectly without them rolling around but I used a couple of them in my kitchen so I didn't have enough for this side, so I just used a divider and pushed a couple things in here.
I'm realizing I have so much curological cleanser and moisturizers, I don't know what it's like. I have a bad time if I don't wash my face enough because they send them to me every 60 days, every 60 days, and I have a lot of them, so I probably have to skip a 60th day or something like that, just to go over everything. but yeah this is just some products and stuff but then in Carson's bathtub I sorted out the toys a bit and a lot of his pipes don't work anymore as far as suction goes so I got rid of a lot of them . but I loved them and they lasted a long time before they started not wanting to stick to the tub anymore and then I need another hook for that because the other one broke but that's where I usually keep all of his other toys so I got rid of a lot of them because he doesn't really use them like usual.
He usually brings some toys that he wants to bring to play with, so I didn't feel like I needed that many here anymore, so I'm trying. Going through this but also not surprising him by getting rid of everything at once, so I'm just going to see how he feels about the ones I left off and if he actually starts using them, but I may end up getting rid of more. Hi guys. welcome to the second part of my series on small kitchen organization, today we are finishing up organizing my kitchen in a budget project and I have some more fun ideas for you to help you organize your space creatively.
In this video, we are rearranging my cutlery. drawer I have some really cool pantry organizers to help maximize pantry space that I know you are going to love and I am also organizing my junk drawer and a few other areas if you missed the first part definitely make sure to watch that video Featured too because it contains a large majority of my best ideas and you won't want to miss it. In that video, I shared my best ideas for organizing under the kitchen sink, as well as the cutest little spice rack I still have. obsessed with but without further ado let's start by getting everything out of my cutlery drawer and I actually bought these two new organizers from joseph and joseph, they're ten dollars each and they save so much space.
My goal was to free up as much drawer space as possible. It was possible to create a junk drawer because the system I was using for all my miscellaneous items just wasn't working and I achieved this goal. You take my life for granted. I was able to consolidate two drawers into one by removing the old cutlery organizer. I also removed all the most dangerous tools from that drawer since I have a small child and obviously don't want potentially harmful things within his reach, but the next thing I wanted to do was reorganize this kind of awkward cabinet, so I removed everything. from there and used dollar tree bins to organize some baking supplies as well as the dangerous tools that were previously in my cutlery drawer.
I also purged a lot of things that day, so everything I took out of my cabinets I really thought about whether or not I'm actually going to use them before making the decision of whether I'm going to keep them, donate them, or throw them in the trash if you're organizing with a really tight budget. I just want to say that Dollar Tree has some really amazing containers. so if you have a dollar tree nearby, definitely go and check them out. They have a really cool rubber on the bottom that helps keep everything from slipping. They are very good quality and only cost a dollar.
Look, I actually have a little space now while I watch the next two clips. I have the containers there. I can take them out when I need something and then slide the containers back in. It's super easy, nothing is like that. I'm not cluttered anymore, I have extra space in my cutlery drawer so I could do something with that. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with it, but it's really good to know that I have that and then let's get to work. in my junk drawer this is the cabinet from hell where I have been storing all my miscellaneous items that came from my junk drawer in my previous house when I had a really big one and lots of space to store everything but this system was definitely not working and every time I needed something in there I was just afraid to open that cabinet and try to go through it so I decided I really needed to sort all this out and I just wanted to keep what would fit in the junk drawer I was creating and that's not a big drawer as you'll see in a minute everything else I was getting rid of love is from somewhere else this took me quite a while I had a huge excess of stuff I hadn't touched in a long time so while I was going through everything I was trying to be really brutal to myself Same thing about when was the last time I used this.
Have I used it since I moved into this apartment? Do I see myself really needing this at some point? With that mindset I was able to organize more than half of the things I had in this drawer and I felt so good about organizing bins. I actually used the little extensions that were on the side of my old flatware organizer and then I just used another dollar tree container to stick it in the drawer and divide everything up a little bit here. I'm just putting everything in to see what fits, but I end up going through it a little more and going through all the Sharpies and pens to see if they worked and I try to keep some, like a slim Sharpie, a thick Sharpie, a red Sharpie instead of having doubles and triple everything wide awake and leave my head in the space that is in the crowd stay with me here is the finished product for my junk drawer.
It felt so good to do this and now when I need something it's so easy for me to just grab it and I'm so happy to have finally gotten through that dreaded thing. cabinet, but here I'm just wiping down this little drawer with my e-cloths and then I'm putting these little spice rack liners inside. I had some spices that didn't fit in my spice rack, but I had plenty of room in the drawers. Because I was able to consolidate them really well and these spice rack liners are actually a utopia, I mean I bought them on Amazon a long time ago and I've used them for a million things they're really great for in your bathroom. to organize they are also really cheap and you can cut them to any size to fit in any drawer, nothing slips or moves.
I highly recommend them, they are definitely affordable too so I will have everything I use. This video is linked in my description box below, but now that I've freed up an entire cabinet by basically creating my junk drawer, I was able to grab some of the things I use most regularly that I've had to put up really high. and out of my reach I was able to put them on these bottom two shelves and make my life a little bit easier, so we finally get to probably my favorite part of this video. It's like my spice organizer.
I'm like dizzy. I think this is great and it's also from the brand Joseph and Joseph, they're like my new favorite brand when it comes to small spaces and organization, it's just amazing the products they have, that's where my cutlery organizer from my spice rack came from. and also these containers that were only 18 for three containers and if you've ever organized a pantry before you know that these pretty clear acrylic containers are very expensive so I feel like it was a very good deal so here I am. just washing them and preparing them, I'm just going to put in some rice, I had panko breadcrumbs and I also had couscous that I was planning on transferring to these.
Look at the containers in the mirror. Find the worst. Ask someone else if it's similar. For the cool little spice rack in my previous video, these containers actually utilize your vertical space that you would otherwise be wasting by hooking it to the top of a shelf and I think it's the coolest thing ever and I know it's ridiculous to be so excited. about a kitchen organizer product, but seriously, it's so cool that it has this little 3m strip on the back, so you just take it off so you can place it safely on top of your cabinet or your pantry or whatever.
For my pantry I use this 60 cupboard made pantry cabinet, I think this is amazing, it does the job perfectly well for me. I'm not trying to have a perfectly organized Pinterest-worthy pantry, but I think developing things like this over time can definitely help me get there at some point. Point and seriously look at how cute those things are. I just love them and the next thing I did to label them was use a dry erase marker right in front of them because I'm definitely going to change them. the things that are in these containers, so I didn't want to use my label maker and create a label and create problems for myself, so a dry erase marker did the job perfectly and I can easily erase and rewrite everything I put in there. next time and it won't be a bother.
I don't have any very fun or creative ideas for this cabinet yet, but it totally needs it. This is where I keep all my baking supplies, so my muffin and cake pans, and I even have my pancake griddle, I just can't reach this cabinet very well, so I thought I'd put the things I'm least likely to need in the time when I live in this apartment or just the things that I won't need very often, but I took everything out and sorted it a little. I wanted to sort it out and find the things I'm not really using, get rid of them, and then categorize the rest.
Well, and I'm just trying to organize it the best I can, but I didn't do anything crazy, why don't you say it's too late for us? Where do we stay when I blame myself for the things that weigh me so heavily? I thought I'd end this video with just a quick tour of my kitchen now that it's completely organized, at least I think organized enough to live here, this is just an apartment, this isn't my permanent home so I'm not trying to make it perfect, but I'm definitely trying to utilize the space as best I can.
I'm going to show you everything I've done and where everything is organized and hopefully give you some ideas. I have a first part of this video that was posted a couple of weeks ago, so if you didn't see that one, definitely check it out if you need some motivation to organize and declutter even more than this one and there's something great about it. ideas you'll also see in this kitchen tour so let's do it so starting over obviously this is just my refrigerator on top of the refrigerator. I have all my baking supplies and then also my pancake griddle.
These are huge cabinets and there is still room. I'm really proud of myself for that, so I'm going to close this here, this is where I keep all my mugs and stuff, so I also keep my goodbye stress vitamins, the ones that I can't talk about if they work or not because I only had them once but they taste pretty good so my dishwasher is full right now so I don't have all my dishes in here but this is where I would keep all my glasses and then these are like Yetis and stuff like that. So up here is where I keep Carson's mugs.
I need to get another one of the cabinet shelves here like a smaller one so I can separate the cups from it. In fact, I hate the miraculous 360, so I may even get rid of those. because they're terrible and I know everyone loves them, but I hate them because if they fall on the floor, whatever's in there just splatters and it's miserable and then upstairs in all these cabinets there's stuff that I can't reach on a regular basis. , so My goal when organizing was to make sure that all the lower cabinets that I could reach without getting on a ladder were where all my important things were and then anything else that I don't need on a regular basis was on top and then, in this cabinet, this is where I keep all my plates, bowls, cups, Carson plates and everything that's not normally up here, but I don't even know why, how it ended up there, but anyway, upstairs I just have something to serve. dishes and I also have some containers to store food and other things, but as you can see I have extra space so that's exciting and this is my spice rack that I used in my last kitchen organization video and I thinkwhich is the most beautiful thing in the world. world and it just hides all your spices and it's adorable, so down here I finally have a junk drawer.
I haven't had a junk drawer since I moved here because I just didn't have the space for it, but I finally made room for it. So I have all my junk piled up here, not in the most organized way, but it's better to have a drunk drawer than nothing at all because it was annoying not having it and then down here is where I keep my toaster and my waffle iron. and then that's like a baking dish, then under my sink I featured this in my last few kitchen organization videos. I also organized under my sink in my last video.
I just keep all my cleaning towels and you know all the cleaning products and everything kitchen related under my sink here I keep a lot of things in these containers so this is where I store I just keep all my measuring cups it's very useful there and then this container up here has my waffle, my mini waffle. I love that thing, it's amazing and here it is, let me show you, these are just little glass dishes that I use a lot when I cook and a little colander and rubber bands, so I use all these containers to hold something.
They are not just for decoration and here this is what I organized today. I have dangerous tools and I don't want Carson to be able to get there. It's all about baking related stuff. It's an ice cream container for homemade ice cream and then I also have Carson's baby bullet, I hope to be able to use it again one day for another baby. This is like my apocalyptic cabinet, so I have random packaged food that I was storing in here. in case I didn't have anything I might end up just donating all of this because now that things are starting to look up I mean yeah maybe I'll eat my special k and the fruit loops but everything else I can't see for sure myself.
I'll probably use it so I'll probably donate it and then we have this cabinet that I just keep my cake stand in and these are ice cream cups and I use them all the time and I think they're really cute and then I just have a mixing bowl and just another random storage container and a few other storage containers. I have a super old Kitchenaid mixer like a hand mixer up there. I love that thing and I don't use it very often, so it's up there and then it's more worn out, so I have a lot of utility clothes, but I used to have a big kitchen and I used to have Carson's birthday parties and things that really made them I would need them and now it's not really happening but I don't want to get rid of them because one day I'm sure I'll need them and then we have it covered so I bought two of these and I think it was a good idea so I can put the little things in this and the big stuff in this one and then the Carson stuff comes to the front. they're like things that Carson can get into safely and that he can't really hurt himself with and then I have my measuring spoons and then down here I organized this in a recent video, but I love these little pots.
I think the holders are amazing and then I use a commando hook to hang my oven mitt but that didn't work. I'm still planning on buying an adjustable one to use so I'll let you know how. That's when I do that, but still this is definitely better than before and we finally have my little pantry, so upstairs is where I keep all the produce, like all the snacks, that I don't want Carson going into all the time. Um, I don't want me to get into it all the time either, so if it's in that basket I can't see it very well and I forget what's in there, so that's a good thing and I always have to stay with my little boy. test lock here because Carson will try to eat everything he can find, but this is my pantry and I think it's really cute and I love having this in this apartment.
I desperately needed it trying to use my cabinets in there, I'm just so stressed. I like that it's all in it's own separate area, it's organized to me, it's not perfect but it's perfect for me. I hope you enjoyed this video. I think the next time I declutter and organize will be in my bathroom. Well, in Carson's bathroom because it's kind of a disaster in the linen closet, so it needs to be taken care of very soon and organized so you can keep an eye on that, so don't forget to subscribe to my channel if you are. new and turn on notification bells so you don't miss any of my future videos.
I really hope you enjoyed this one and it gave you some good motivation to organize and declutter and some creative ways to use a small space that had a lot of it. I'm having fun doing this and I hope to tackle another space in my apartment soon and film it for you, but I hope everyone is having an amazing day and I'll see you in my next video. Oh, hey guys, welcome back. to my channel in this video, we are organizing and decluttering my laundry closet on a budget to give you tons of motivation and ideas to organize your laundry space, whether large or small.
Be sure to stay tuned to see the before and after of the transformation. I am very proud of how organized, functional and cute this space ends up being. Everything I bought for this video was from Michael's Home Goods or Amazon so it was super affordable and if you want to see how I organize this space, keep going. Seeing this, I talked about in a recent video of mine where I was organizing my master closet. I was talking about how sometimes it can seem so daunting to remove everything from a space at once and work on it in a big chunk, so from time to time I like to declutter by taking things out a little at a time so I don't stress myself out too much, but for this project I wanted to remove everything from this closet so I could start completely over and see what I was working with.
For the space, since I wanted this to look like something decorative, Pinterest type, I wanted to make sure everything was completely outside so I could make it look as good as possible and then before I did anything else, I just wanted to clean up. Write everything down because it's not very often that a space is completely empty, so I just wanted to get it nice and clean before I start doing anything. Why don't we talk about this? Why do not you stay? Why don't we talk about this? The step was a little unnecessary but I felt like I wanted to have some type of coating on these shelves since they are like the wire shelves made from the closet so I bought this at home goods and it just adds a little bit of grip and prevents things falling out with us is all or nothing the next thing I'm going to do is just go through this bin that had winter hats and gloves and things in it, it was kind of an eyesore and it was way too full so I just went through it.
I tidied it up a bit and put it in a nicer container and then I'm going through my tool collection so now I'm a single mom and I live alone so I've been starting a tool collection trying to teach myself how to make some of the most practical things on my own. I don't have anything crazy, but I have the basics and I've been storing them in these clear containers and it just wasn't the best system and I didn't really want a toolbox. because you know they're not that pretty, so I found this long galvanized household goods container and I thought it was perfect for this so I could declutter it a little bit, figure out what I really need and organize it in a way. that I can look right into the bin and see everything, it's definitely not perfect but it's much better and these handles make it very easy for me to pick it up and lower it onto the shelf so I feel good about what I did with my tools.
I wanted to take a second here to give a shout out to my friend Megan from the LoverLife channel, as Megan posted a video on laundry closet organization recently and it totally inspired me to finally tackle mine. She had been wanting to do it for a while, but that video hit me. She gave me the push I needed to finally do it, so if you haven't heard of Megan, I'll link to her channel below. She posts a ton of budget makeovers and motivational cleaning and organizing videos on her channel, and she's one of my absolute favorites to watch, so when you're done here go check out Megan's channel and let her know I sent you this gray container which was also household goods it came in a two pack it was really inexpensive and I'm just putting some of my sundries in there so I have a couple of reusable grocery bags that we can't use right now due to to everything that's going on, they don't allow us to use them in stores and then I just had a couple of other miscellaneous things. that I had left over from when I organized my junk drawer, if you missed my small kitchen organization series, you can see in part two when I organize my junk drawer, so if you're interested in that, I'll put it on the cards here on As far as organizing my laundry products, I actually don't have many.
I'm a person who uses one or two laundry detergents. I don't have a huge collection of different products that I use for stains and everything else. I keep it very simple, so I ended up only buying a couple of glass containers. I bought one for my dryer balls and then I bought one to put my scent enhancers in but I didn't get a big dispenser for my laundry detergent, as nice as it is I felt like it wasn't completely necessary and you'll see when we get to the reveal end of my linen closet that looks perfectly fine without having a big laundry soap dispenser, I think that Those things are cute and I like them, but they're not entirely necessary and I'm here to tell you that you don't need those things either, so which are quite expensive, I imagine they would be a bit messy and are just not completely necessary, my laundry closet is where I keep everything because it's really the only storage space I have in my apartment other than my master closet, so I also keep my extra cat food in there and just put it on a nice event.
Since I just want to maximize all of my space as much as possible, I'm putting some hook rippers on the back of my closet doors and those are for my broom and also my duster since I live in an apartment that only use. Control strips for many things. I don't really want to drill a bunch of holes in the wall, so I'm using the velcro control strips. Those are definitely my favorites for hanging things and I saw this little trick, I guess you could. Call it, I think, on Facebook and basically you just put toothpaste where your nails are going to go or your Velcro strips are going to go and when you hold it up against the wall it will leave toothpaste behind so you can see where you need to drill or where. you need to place your command strip and this is awesome.
You could put a level on top of your picture or whatever you're hanging too to make sure it's level, but I just noticed, but this is a really great way to make sure everything lines up correctly and makes hanging things be much easier. I found this lost and found sign at Michael's and I mean it was only ten dollars when it was originally like 39 or something crazy like that and I think I love it. He is so cute. Now I'm just making a couple of labels for my different jars and containers. This label maker is really cheap and is amazing.
It has relief. I think it looks very nice. I'll link it on my Amazon. storefront, as well as anything else you can find on Amazon in this video or things like that, I'll put it in my Amazon storefront linked below, but I wanted to say that I used this label maker in my kitchen organization video and I didn't know that the label maker would cut my labels for me, so I was using scissors and I got a lot of comments from you guys, like you know you don't need scissors for that, and I felt so stupid, but all I can do now is laugh at myself, but I probably should have read the instructions before using it in a video so the entire internet can see me here in the future.
Yes, I know there was a typo and the clothing was misspelled. I know how to do it. laundry spell I really don't know what happened I have no explanation for this but it's kind of fun to look back closely at the heart but we can master the art and the thing is these scarves are scary but they're just little scars You'll see here I'm going to put things again, taking them out, putting things back in taking them out a bunch of times here, I just threw everything in the closet, but then within a couple of minutes I ended up rearranging it. a couple of times just to make sure I had everything exactly where I wanted it to be, so it may seem a little annoying while you're looking at this and I'm very undecided about where I want things, but I promise you that everything ends up turning out a nice, adorable container of coffee that I bought from really really cheap household goods and I thought it would work perfectly as a lint container, so what I did was I took a couple of my velcro command strips and I placed them directly over the part of the container that said coffee and I pushed it against the wall so you would never know it was now a coffee container, but I think this thing is so adorable and I feel like in all mylittle organization videos I've had a favorite thing: The kitchen organization video is my spice rack that you guys are probably so sick of hearing about and then in my second part I had another really cool container that was hanging from the top of a shelf and now here I have my lint container and this thing is It's very cute and it's completely extra.
I probably don't need one, but I thought it was the cutest idea. This is the part where I'm going to take things out, put them back, take them out, and put them back. and over and over again until I figured out where I wanted everything. I wanted it to be functional. I wanted it to make sense but I also wanted it to be pretty obvious, so I did this a lot and probably could have cut it. part of the video, but I wanted to be real with you and show you what my process is when I organize and decorate, so I left it out because I live in an apartment, my kitchen is pretty small, and these appliances are like my Instant Pot. and my ice cream maker are really huge and don't fit in any of my cabinets so I'm just throwing them on the top shelf at the back of this cabinet and for the finishing touch here I felt it was necessary. a little pop of color, so I put this pretty purple plant on the shelf and then I also grabbed a random pair of socks and hung them on my lost and found sign, you take my life for granted, I gave a lot of things that We've never met yet, I think I need a minute to realize that we're still talking to someone I'm a sucker for, okay, so I think I'm done and I'm really happy with the way it turned out, it's even better than what I thought.
I could do um for this space so I really like that my apartment has this extra shelf here because as you can see I need extra space for storage so here I have this adorable little lost and found sign that I bought this from Michael's. I mean it was ten dollars but originally it was like 39 or something, but they were on sale the day I went and I found it and bought it, so I put up a couple of random pairs of socks to show them what you could do with them, but I also think it looks cute and then these containers that I also bought from Michael's each were less than ten dollars this one in this one and this one I just have my dryer sheets and my dryer balls and then here's my scent booster method.
I forget the name of the scent I like but it smells really good and then this is my go to washing machine cleaner. I actually get a lot of questions about when I use it in my videos. It's just a washing machine cleaner and I spray it after every single load for the most part, since I can remember, and it just helps keep the washing machine clean without having to do a deep deep clean all the time, so I love those things. This is what I like to call my laundry tips, because anytime. I find change in my clothes, I just throw it in this jar and it's my laundry tips, so one time I collected so much that I could buy like fifty dollars worth of makeup from ulta, so my laundry tips came in handy and then Here's my laundry detergent.
In a perfect world, I would have a really nice container that would dispense this, but it seems like kind of an expensive, messy purchase since I can see it dripping and it's a really big test, so I made it. I didn't buy one and I just used Tide Free and mild, it comes in a white container so it's not that bad and this is where I'm going to put rags that need to be cleaned because I like to wash my rags like I eat. and microfiber cloths separately so I just have a little container just for them and I thought the container itself was really cute with kind of a wooden lid so these are dirty rags not clean rags they are dirty rags and then back here, I might I don't know what to do with these things.
I don't use the downy one very often, but every once in a while I do and then I also have a stain remover back there so I'm still trying to find a nicer alternative for those two things but for now that's fine and then up here This is just a small basket. I have all of Carson's winter hats. I have a couple of my hats and then I have winter gloves and things like that in there and I sorted it out quite a bit because I had an excessive amount and this is cat food here so it looks a lot better than putting it in the same shipping container in the that's coming, so I have all of Arthur's cat food in there, which is easy for me. grab and then this is just a cute little plant that's actually supposed to be hung like a hanging plant, but that's not really going to work in this space, I mean, I guess I could hang it there, but I thought it looked beautiful. here and added some color with the purple, so I'm fine with that.
This is full of tools. I don't have a toolbox and this is much nicer than a toolbox, so it's not the most organized thing in there, but you. I can see everything because it's a very wide container so I can look down, it's got handles, it's easy for me to pick it up and take it off the shelf and just look at what's there so I'm happy with that and then bring it up. Upstairs I have my instant pot and my ice cream maker, I just can't fit them in my kitchen so I keep them here and then it's full of miscellaneous items, like a junk drawer, but things I use even less than what's in the trash drawer so I keep all of that up there and then this is obviously my paper towel collection so I'm really happy with it and this is probably my favorite part is my lint container.
I think it's so cute that whenever I have dryer lint I can throw it in there and then throw it away when it's full. I don't know about you, but sometimes I procrastinate and just let the lint sit on top of the dryer forever, so I think having a place to put it is a good idea for me and then I'd like to be able to do something with this eyesore, But it is what it is. I live in an apartment so I can't make everything look perfect and then here at my door I just put my broom and this duster and I love these little command strips for hanging things which are great so I'll link to them on my Amazon store.
They are really cheap and they are easy to remove as long as you pull them from here and pull them down it won't damage the surfaces you just have to be slow and just pull them down and then on the other door I have. My bags here for when I pick up Arthur's litter box and I'll just throw all my shopping bags and extra stuff in here and it's a good way to reuse the plastic bags and then I also keep my ladder next to the dryer, it's a good A place to store it and here is to hang clothes, but I don't use it very often so I just keep it hidden there, but this is the final product.
I think it turned out beautifully and I'm very happy with it. and I feel like I'm going to be a lot less afraid to go into this closet now, but that's it for my small apartment laundry closet organization video. I hope this gave you some ideas if you were looking for some or motivated you to do so. Go address some area of your house. I feel like cleaning the laundry closet is really important because clothes suck and anything we can do to make clothes a little less daunting definitely helps. Let me know in the comments below which area you would like.
To see me organize or tackle next, I'd love to hear your suggestions in the comments below. Don't forget to subscribe to my channel if you're new here and hit the notification bells so you don't miss any of my future uploads. I hope you are having a wonderful day thanks for watching and I hope you come back for my next video life is a winding road you don't know where you are driving during the days and nights you don't stop at the traffic lights Hi guys welcome back to me channel For another video this week, it's the third part of my series on small kitchen organization, so I'm going to show you a bunch of new ideas on how to organize your kitchen when it's very small and on a budget.
I wanted to make the used items. In this video, it's easy to access for almost everyone, so everything you're going to see I bought on Amazon and will have it in my store. I see tons of wonderful dollar tree ideas but I know my dollar tree never has a big selection and I didn't have much luck so I felt like Amazon was the best option for everyone and all of these items are affordable and you can customize them according to your budget, so if you only want to buy one item and focus on organizing one area at a time, then that's fine, but my goal for this video is just to give you some new ideas from my last video.
If you didn't see the first part, I'll link it here in the cards and in my description box below if you need even more. ideas I also wanted to mention that this video is in collaboration with my friend Catherine. Her channel name is catherine. She posts tons of organizing content on her channel, in addition to cleaning and decorating. She has a very positive attitude and is very funny. Check it out, I know you'll love it in her video. She gives you all the cleaning, decluttering, and organizing motivation you need and in fact, last week she posted a small kitchen organization video with tons of great ideas, so be sure to check that out here once you're done.
Head over to Katherine's channel and let her know I sent you. All the links to it will be in my description box below. The first area I'm going to focus on is under my kitchen sink. This tends to get out of control. The quickest I ever organized was in the first part of my small kitchen organizing series but since then I found myself piling things up there so I'm just taking everything out and going to wipe down the entire area using my e-cloth, this is my product favorite to clean, so I'm going to clean everything really well and be able to see the space that I'm working with.
I bought this cool adjustable shelf on Amazon and I really like it because you can customize it to fit around all the pipes under your sink. I had a little trouble putting this together just because it was folded under my sink forever and trying to manipulate the thing to make sure it fit. around all the pipes, but once I was done I really liked it and would definitely recommend it. I like it because, as I've mentioned a million times, it's using vertical space that would otherwise be wasted. It could be next. What I'm putting together here is actually intended for things like boxes with plastic bags or aluminum foil or saran wrap, all that kind of stuff that I didn't even end up using under my sink because there wasn't as much space as I wanted there to be, but I'll show you how you can use it later in the video, but now I'm going to start putting some things back under my sink.
I decided to use the magazine file you see. on the door of my cabinet for a few different things, it used to be where I kept my aluminum foil, plastic wrap and plastic bags and things like that, but now I'm just going to use it to store some of my most popular products, but Look here that I'm taking things apart and putting them back together and rearranging them like a million times and that's the way I work when I organize things. I just constantly try to take a look and see if there's anything else. efficient thing I could do or if there's something I want to change or whatever and I redo it so many times, but the worst part is I usually end up going back to how I did it the first time, I want to do a quick surprise giveaway.
In this video, I'm giving away a 50 gift card to Amazon so you can get started on your kitchen organization projects or just buy whatever you want, so entering the giveaway is super easy, you just need to leave a comment. below as much as you want and also follow me on my Instagram which I have in the description box below. This giveaway will only be open for the first week this video is live, so be sure to take advantage of it as quickly as possible. I'll message the winner on Instagram. I might be the one to save you from this place honey, this two-tier sliding drawer was one of the most popular items in my first kitchen organization video and I still love it.
Use it the same way, this has worked perfectly, but now we're going to move on to organizing my spices. This idea is for everyone who said they had too many spices for the idea I gave you in my first video. The spice grabbers are adhesive and I really like them because you can use some of the cabinet door space that would otherwise be wasted, just like I say in all my organization videos, and you can play Tetris with these to make them fit together. some way. that don't collide with anything when you close your cabinet, I'm going to keep the door cold with you I feel like breaking the rules just looking over the edge now without a parachute you know I'm dreaming too about us playing without a clue I saw a really cool product on Amazon that I'm going to show you here to organize this cabinet, so first I'll take everything out and then I'll alsoI'll clean like I did before and I know it's hard You see what I'm doing from the camera angle but there was honestly no easy way to do this without me getting in the way so I apologize if I'm standing in front of everything I'm doing and you can.
I don't see it, but these are stackable cup holders and I think they're actually intended for things like Yetis, but I'm using them for Carson's sippy cups. We don't really have many sippy cups anymore just because I honestly hated them all. I got rid of them and I like the click lock ones for the most part, so I'm going to put them all on this. I like it because I can see everything I have and this cabinet is actually quite tall. So it can be hard for me, but now I can see everything when I open the door and things don't get lost one after another, so I would definitely recommend these, but moving forward, we'll take care of all my baking supplies and things in this one. cabinet that's on top of my refrigerator so I bought an adjustable mechanism you'll see in a minute I don't even know what to call half of these things and I'm going to put them together and then use them to store things vertically with us this was one of the organizations most satisfying things I did in this video and I like it because I used to go grab things from this cabinet and once I took one thing out everything would fall out and now I don't do that.
I have that problem because I have everything organized between all these little individual spaces to talk, this with us, with us, I decided to use this little holder that I pulled out from under my sink to divide up a couple more things in here and just make it a little more organized and I'm definitely glad I did it, I think it made a big difference at least for me, so I really like these things, this one is from Target, they're really really cheap, so I'll have the ones linked in my description box as well in my Last video I showed you a couple of ways to organize all your pots, pans and lids and I did it pretty prematurely.
I took off all the lid holders which I really liked. my last video I thought I had another idea and it didn't turn out so well so that's something that happens when you're organizing and things don't always go as planned and that's totally okay so I'm probably going to buy more of those because I really They like them and now they are ruined because I ripped off all the adhesive. I'm going to get everything out here. This pot and pan organizer I had there previously was okay, but definitely not exactly what I was looking for. I bought an adjustable one on Amazon, which I mentioned I was going to do in my first kitchen organization video, so I'm going to take everything out of there, clean everything up, and then I'm going to work on assembly. that and also moving my shelf a little higher because there wasn't enough room for the new product because of the way the shelf was in all the places.
I hope this definitely required a bit of fixing and I thought it might not even work that well. I was a little frustrated at first, but I found a way to make it work for the most part. I think if you have a little more space than me this would work even better, but I'm very limited in this cabinet to store everything so I had a bit of a hard time, but I've definitely seen this look great on other people and I think that's probably the best it's going to be for me, I know it's a known fact, I think For me personally, the lid holders that I had before on the cabinet doors were definitely my best option because they have such high handles that the makes it really hard to put away because they're not very thin, I don't know if that makes it hard sense, so I had a really hard time figuring out how to put them all in and make them fit here, so I ended up stacking them on top of each other, so I think it's probably I will buy more lid holders that I had before and put them back on my cabinet doors.
I didn't end up leaving this here and I may even return it because I don't think I have a place for it in my kitchen, but I wanted to show you how I actually use this product that is designed for aluminum foil, plastic bags and saran wrap and other things. It's pretty clever, it just didn't work for me because I didn't have anywhere good to put it. I originally wanted to place this product. in the cabinet where my pots and pans were, but I just didn't have enough room in the door, so I removed all the lid holders, as I was saying before, quite prematurely, but I didn't like how I couldn't get them. my drawer got completely closed with this on the door like that because of the way it was put together so what I ended up doing was using velcro strips just to stick it to the back of the cabinet door and then it got stuck. flat and I didn't have the problem of trying to close the door and leave a gap, but what I wanted to store in here were all my cutting boards and I actually just bought some really cool cutting boards that are like mats and have specific ones for different things like chicken or steak or fruit or whatever and you'll see them in a minute they're super thin so you can literally store them anywhere and they're also dishwasher safe and they're really easy to keep clean, I've really liked them so far so far which I will also link to in my store.
They know something. I wanted to show you that I'm still using my little spice rack that I had before and I just put some unique spices in it, so some things I don't use all the time, but I wanted to show you that I'm still using it because it's one of my favorite products ever. the times and if it is still available on Amazon. I'll link it. I decided to use the product where I previously stored my pots and pans in this upper cabinet where I had a bunch of recipe books that were piled up. Honestly, I never use recipe books and I can get rid of most of them, but I thought it was a good idea to use something I would have otherwise probably thrown away.
I had no other use for it, so I'll just use it for storage. all my recipe books so I can see them when I open the door and maybe start using them, but that's all I have for you for the last part of my small kitchen organization series. I hope this has given you something new. new ideas and you want to just run out and take apart your kitchen and organize all the things and I just want to say thank you so much for watching and thank you to my friend Catherine for collaborating with me on this video, don't forget. to go to her channel and say hello and let her know that I sent you.
Don't forget to follow me on Instagram. My handle is always in the description box below if you want to catch up on more of my day to day stuff. -Daily life and seeing some things behind the scenes, but once again, thank you very much for watching. I hope you enjoyed it and I'll see you in my next video. Hey guys, welcome back to my channel to watch the driveway makeover video I've been working on. this for what seems like forever and I'm so excited that the day has finally come to share this with all of you in this video.
I'm creating the entrance of my dreams. I don't have a coat closet in my apartment, so storage has been a challenge, but I finally found a beautiful tenant-

friendly

solution. I will be cleaning out the entire area and completely renovating it with a DIY bench, a DIY shelf with hooks, and an absolutely stunning piece of furniture that inspired this entire project and decorating it too. Make sure you stay until the end of the video to see the before and after because it is a complete transformation and I am very proud of what I was able to do with this space, as you can see here, my entrance was not attractive at all and was full of clutter, I knew I needed more storage than the white table I already had, so the first thing I did was sell it on Facebook Marketplace.
This makeover ended up being very affordable because I did this and I was able to simply reinvest that money into the project to buy some decorative items and purchase the supplies needed for my DIY bench and shelves, but once that table was gone, I got to work. work by completely clearing the space if it allowed him to discover where the path went. If I'm falling I'll keep searching for my eyes You can say I've lost my mind I'll still keep my head up even if the sky is falling Since I live in an apartment Painting is not an option Me either I really don't want to spend money on peelable wallpaper and adhesive that I'll have to remove when I leave anyway, so I really focused on my decor for this makeover as well as function.
Just because you rent doesn't mean you can't make a space your own, you just have to be creative and very intentional. I found a beautiful sideboard from the article you'll see here in a moment and I based my entire project on this piece and I'll show you how I did it and my planning. The process is explained later in this video, but you can honestly look at the walls in my apartment and they will wear down the quality of the paint. It's just not that good and I feel like it's like that in almost every commercial building, so it's really not like that.
I'm not surprised, but I didn't expect the magic eraser to work so well. I removed every scratch from the walls and the difference was amazing. In the end, the magic eraser crumbled a little while I was scrubbing. the walls, which is to be expected when you're really doing it, trying to remove a bunch of scratches, so I just vacuum them up real quick and then finally I'm going to steam mop the area so it's completely fresh. and ready for my makeover in this city, look at those beautiful stars, okay then it's the next day, the most exciting delivery has just arrived, this will be like the focal point for this entire entry project, so I'm going to working on Opening this up and doing any necessary assembly, the delivery guys were really awesome, taking it to me and putting it here so hopefully I can get it out on my own and set it up.
I'm very excited to see how it works. Wow, that was a really good jump. I feel like superwoman because I was able to take this sideboard completely out of the package and set it up myself. This awesome piece was sent to me by an article I've partnered with for this video. I had had my eye on it for quite some time and knew it would be perfect for my entryway. It has a lot of storage space. It is real wood of incredible quality with brass metal legs. Honestly, it's the most beautiful piece of furniture I've ever owned.
I love the three dimensional details and it totally transformed my entryway. I honestly just want to sit there and look at this because I love it and I love both the articles and the company and their products. I have also bought them. my sofa from the item and I have to say their customer service is top notch they provide contactless delivery their delivery process is incredibly easy and painless and not to mention the furniture is great quality at a great price and everything is designed to last. to have a link to the items website in the description box below if you would like to see some of their products if you are looking for very high quality furniture but at a great price I highly recommend them I have had such wonderful experiences as a customer to them bought my couch and then partnered with them.
Be sure to stay tuned later in the video to see how I designed this beautiful cabinet and the way I organized it inside the rug I purchased. Going under this cabinet was ruggable. I had never purchased a rug from them before, but I was really intrigued by the fact that they are machine washable, so you actually get a rug pad that sticks to the rug cover and can be removed. and throw it straight in the washing machine and I thought that was amazing because I have a huge rug in my living room that is extremely difficult to clean and the idea of having a machine washable rug I thought was the coolest thing ever, OK?
I finally have it all put together and I have my new rug that I bought from Ruggable. I love them together, but it's not completely even because trying to lift this thing by myself and moving a rug with a grip pad underneath is literally impossible. I'm actually surprised I got it this close to being right, but it still needs a little more work, but I'm going to start putting some things in here. I'm so excited I can't wait. My dad is just the best and he agreed to help me with my DIY projects. I had a lot of fun working with him in the garage on these projects and they are that much more special to me because we did it together, the first thing we did was build. a diy bench this bench was inspired by my friend megan who i'm sure you all know, just as much of a lover of life as megan is here on youtube, she did a home office makeover in collaboration with another of my favorite youtubers whitney p created a beautiful bench for her office and i knew i had to find a space for something similar and my entryway seemed like the perfect spot.
It was very simple to make and turned out better than I could have imagined to make this bench we just bought two for four by eight, two by eight by eight and two and a half inch construction screws,We cut the two-by-eight in half so we had two equal pieces and then cut the two-by-four into four pieces that were 15 and a half inches long. and four pieces that were eight inches long and then we just assembled these boxes using the smaller pieces, those would be the legs of the bench, we centered them on the bench making sure there was a one and three quarter inch overhang on each side and It was that simple and it turned out beautiful.
The next project we worked on was making this shelf with hooks. I don't have a coat closet like I mentioned before so storage is quite difficult and as it is now I'm just storing everything. our jackets in our closets and that's not really convenient when you're trying to run out the door so I saw this rack on Pinterest and I thought it looked perfect so I recreated it and I'm going to link the blog where I saw this. shelf below so you can try to do it yourself by running away. Another thing I wanted to do was paint my litter box cabinet white, it's not the most glamorous thing in the world but this is real life and I have a cat so I need a litter box.
Unfortunately, the only place I can keep it is in my entryway, but if it was white I thought it would blend in a little more and not be such an eyesore, so I rinsed the litter box cabinet really well. I left it in the sun to dry and while I waited for it to dry I moved on to painting my shelf. Honestly, I didn't do much prep work for this cabinet before I started painting it and it turned out perfectly fine. I probably could have done it. I spent more time sanding or something, but this thing was second hand, I didn't even buy it new, it was completely free, so I honestly wasn't too worried about it being perfect and how little prep work I put into it.
After a couple coats of paint it looked good so this was after one coat and then I'll show you when it's all done and it looks great in my opinion. I think for what it was. It turned out perfectly fine, the next thing I did was just stain my bench and it was kind of funny because my dad has been in construction forever and he's never seen anyone stain a bench using two colors, so the two colors I used were I think which was early American and then I think it was like a traditional gray color, but I will have the dyes that I used in the description box below if you want to recreate this exact same color at home strangers strangers here is the finished bench.
I can't even begin to tell you how obsessed I am with this. I'm so glad we did it and finally we just needed to attach the hooks for my shelf. I bought these hooks on Amazon so I will have these. linked in my store if you are interested in purchasing them for your projects we finally got home and it was time for me to start putting things away so I quickly cleaned up because obviously my cat's litter box had been out all day and of course , she had litter everywhere so I cleaned it out and put her litter box inside. of the cabinet and then I started loading everything else, the bench and also the shelf so I could hang it.
My dad made it very easy for me to put this up. He made me a french cleat using the extra wood that Basically, I could hang this piece of wood on the wall in my apartment and then the shelf would be inserted into it and it was perfect. He made hanging the shelf incredibly easy for me and it was flat against the wall which is what I wanted, I'll get there so now we'll focus on organizing the inside of this beautiful item cabinet. This is all the storage space I have for a coat closet now and I am beyond excited. to have this because as you could see before my entryway was a total mess and there was no room to put anything so I can't even tell you how good it feels to finally have this storage space and have everything organized where I want it.
So I grabbed a couple of containers that I already had in my apartment and started filling them, so one of them I used for things like hats and gloves in the winter, another container I filled with bug spray and sunscreen. I would just have to grab it on the way out the door, something I probably don't want to forget, and then I ended up using the wooden bin to store Carson's shoes because he has very small feet so he keeps them easily accessible in a bin. Instead of throwing it into the cabinet, it took me a few times to just rearrange things, but I feel really good about the way things turned out.
I also kept Carson's helmet in there so that when we went out riding our bikes, that would be right there where we need it, I kept my diaper bag, also his daycare bag and my bag that I would take to work, so everything is there and it's easy to grab on the way out the door when I was designing what I wanted. To do in this space, I actually used Canva, which is a website if you've never heard of it before, and I used their background removal tool to put things where I wanted, see how everything looked, figure out what colors were They looked good together and I highly recommend this decorating method if you're someone like me who really has a hard time figuring out what looks good together.
I'm just really bad at going into a store or shopping online and just guessing what would look good and they walk in. and I was pretty disappointed, so I tried to be extremely meticulous with this process and really make sure everything looked good together by designing a little template for myself in Canva and I'm going to put that design here on the screen so you can see what I mean and then you can see it come to life. This mirror is from Target. It was from the Hearth and Hand collection. I had originally been looking at a threshold mirror that was actually a little more expensive and had more of a brass finish. but it came destroyed when it got to my apartment so I ended up going to the store and returning it and they didn't have that one in stock so I bought the home and hand one and I love it and it was a little cheaper which was really surprising.
I also bought the lamp at Target and the containers you see here were from Ikea. I use these containers for things like masks that we now have to grab every time we go out and also my keys, I haven't decided. What's in the small container still? But for now it's there for decorative purposes and the two vases I threw in this cabinet were from West Elm and were actually free. I used rewards points for purchasing my furniture with them and got them. completely free and I love them, they are super high quality and really cute and they look perfect in this space.
I've had them for a while and they've been sitting on a tray on my kitchen table, but they've been seen a million times. Best in this cabinet, anything I can link for you guys, I'll be sure to link it in my description box below if you're looking for any of these items for your space. Now it's finally time for the big reveal, so once again. I'm going to remind you of what my entry looked like before so you can really get the full effect of the complete transformation that this makeover was, so here's my entry after I'm so in love with it I honestly can't believe I actually did it this. because, like I was saying before, I just don't have an eye for this stuff and I'm really proud of myself for how it turned out.
It's functional, it's pretty, it's easy on the eyes, and it's very welcoming when I walk through the door for the first time. At the end of a long day, like I said, I'll have a few items linked in the description box below if you're interested in seeing them, but I actually make quite a few of them, like the welcome sign and also the paintings that I painted them. both myself, but that's the end of this video. I really hope you enjoyed it. If you did, don't forget to like and subscribe to my channel. If you are new here, be sure to follow me.
Instagram Sometimes I like to share some sneak peeks at these things as I work on them and of course share more of my everyday life, but thank you so much for watching once again. I hope you enjoyed it and I will. See you in my next video Hello guys, welcome back to my channel for another video this week. We're doing an extreme clean of my bathroom, including the linen closet and the entire vanity and sink area, and I'm also bringing you some cleaning motivation, so if you enjoy the decluttering, organizing, and cleaning videos, You've come to the right place, so feel free to subscribe to my channel and like this video if you enjoy it, but before I could start my main project of the day, I had to do a little tidying up.
I had to do things in my apartment. We had a very busy weekend because it was Carson's birthday party weekend, so things felt a little out of control and I really felt like I couldn't fully immerse myself in my bathroom project before doing it. a little pick up in my kitchen and living room would be enough. In my last video, I went through all of Carson's toys that are in our living room area and just sorted and organized them a little bit, but then of course his birthday. It happened and he got a lot more stuff, so I'll probably have to do it again soon and I'm looking into alternative methods of storing toys.
A subscriber recommended the Ikea toy storage unit to me and I'm looking into that one because it's affordable and looks pretty nice, but in the meantime, before we get to that, if you missed that video, I'll have it linked in the cards right here if you need some motivation to sort and organize the toys, huh. I had a request from a subscriber to let you know how my different organizing projects turned out over time, so in a recent video I reorganized my refrigerator, if you missed it I'll also have it linked on the cards for you, but that system is going extremely good.
I felt like it was like a breath of fresh air to have my refrigerator organized all the time. The containers I bought on Amazon for that project were really affordable and great quality, and I organized all kinds of things. by category, so every time I've had to shop since I made that video, I just put everything in the bin that is its category and it's not very complicated, it's very easy to keep up with, so at least that part of the projects my organization has It has been going very well, I always like to make sure my countertops are completely clean and that there are no crumbs or anything hidden.
I made Carson's birthday cake this year, so I felt like there was sugar and flour and things hidden. everywhere on my countertops, so as usual, I'm using my e-cloths to clean every surface in my kitchen. They work on literally any surface and I love them and highly recommend them. You talk about faith. I use this cabinet as my pantry, if I haven't been told about it in other videos, as you can see there was something I don't even know what everywhere and it was pretty disgusting, so again using my e-cloth, I'm just going to wipe this down. .
Everything is down and you can notice my cat attacking me while he's trying to do this because he thought he needed to play better. This door leads to my patio area and we often leave it open and Carson runs in and out so it gets pretty gross because of a little kid's sticky fingers, I'm going back to using them with my e-cloth just wipe down all the blinds of this door and then also the door itself, what you won't see is the part where The blinds fell on my head and I had to raise them again, it was very annoying and I thought that for sure they were not going to catch on the part again superior and luckily they did it because I really didn't want to not do it.
I have blinds on this door, we live on the first floor so for me it would have been horrible to not have blinds for privacy for a while. You know I'll keep you cold. I feel like breaking the rules to the limit. watching now without parachute you know what you dream about us and finally in my opinion we are getting into the best part of this video and that is removing everything from my dresser, everything that is under the dresser, everything that is on the linen closet and place it. all over the bathroom to overwhelm us.
I felt so overwhelmed a couple of times while filming this. There were too many things and many of them I have had for a long time and have taken from a condo to life. with my parents in the storage room from my old house to my apartment and I haven't touched those things since I lived in that condo, so it was definitely time to check everything very well, I don't know why I didn't do it. This was before I moved, but it was amazing to do this and get rid of so many things that I just wasn't using and that were just taking up space in my life.
There really is something to be said for how decluttering and organizing can affect our mental health. cheers, it may sound silly, but I seriously felt like a giant weight was lifted off my shoulders after doing this now for this linen closet. Honestly, I wasn't going for anything Pinterest-worthy. My main goal was to get rid of things, so you go to Look, the final transformation is basically an almost empty closet, but that's exactly what I was looking for and if you want to see aMost Pinterest-worthy transformation, I'll link you to a really embarrassing video and it's like one of the first. the ones I posted on my channel where I decluttered and organized my linen closet in my old house, so I think the video is now private, but I'll take it off private and link it so you can see it if you are.
Looking for a nicer transformation, once I had everything I had absolutely no space to sit down and start going through things so I just needed to grab a trash bag and start throwing things away just to make enough space to sit down . I had an excess of cleaning products that I was never going to use and they were taking up a lot of space in my bathroom, so I went through all my cleaning products and got rid of the things I wasn't using. I was checking. labels before throwing them away because I'm terrified of chemical reactions and I didn't want to throw things away and create a biohazard, so I was being very careful about what I actually put in the trash bag.
I will say, though, that I felt incredibly wasted getting rid of some of this stuff, so I ended up going through the trash bag and pulling out some of the cleaning products to take to my parents' house in the hopes that they would use them on my place. I so I don't have a good time with our boundaries now my life is an adventure and you are the reason we are away from the city I have had this container full of baby products since I was pregnant with Carson we have never used it because She has very sensitive skin and we stick to the Hello Bellow brand from Walmart which is the only type of body wash shampoo she can use that doesn't irritate her skin so I finally went through all of those and got rid of a few things and then I also had to review our medications.
I had many expired medications. Many medications. I even forgot we had them, so it was nice to just go through them and sort them out a bit. far away, this first aid kit that I've had for a long time and a lot of the things that were in it were actually expired, there are different ones, like painkillers and things of that nature, and all the expiration dates had long passed, so I went through this first aid kit and just took some of the things that don't expire like band aids and trauma pads and random things and put them all in a small more compact container with the rest of my first aid supplies because this was It took up a lot of space and was so heavy that it was intended for commercial use I'm pretty sure, so it just didn't work in my closet and I was very happy to get rid of it, so now I'm finally putting things back together.
Going back to the closet and also vacuuming it a little, it really wasn't bad, although honestly, I almost never go in this closet because every time I did, things would fall on it, so let's finally fix that. problem and this closet ends up looking so empty, which is exactly what I was looking for and I'm so happy that I finally have room to store more things. I have pretty limited closet space in this apartment, so any extra space I can make myself would be greatly appreciated. I have a lot of ideas for this bathroom that I plan to do in upcoming videos, but this week I really wanted to focus on that closet and declutter it, but I put together this cute little shelf in the corner of my vanity and I was really happy with how it turned out very simple, but it made this bathroom look 10 times better.
Eyes, these are all the things I ended up getting rid of in this bathroom, everything except the vacuum cleaner, I wouldn't get rid of that, but it felt really good to finally get rid of some of these things I've been removing. Moving to move for literally no reason and I also got rid of this little first aid kit, which made me a little sad because I thought it was super adorable. It was an impulse purchase for household items one day and I have never used it. It's a little awkward and hard to store things in, so it was time to say goodbye, but it felt really good to get rid of all this clutter that was taking up space and serving no purpose in my life, so this isn't like a Pinterest. a worthy transformation because there really isn't much here now which is awesome because I needed extra space to store things so that was the goal today for me, to get rid of a bunch of stuff and make extra space so I'm pretty happy with how much I got rid of and what I'm saving here, so obviously I'm just saving my toilet paper.
I don't have anywhere else to put my steam mop, so I have my steam mop here and then my extra steam mop pads. in that little container and then I also keep my little shower cleaner here and extra pieces that go into my steam mop and then I have a bunch of tissues and cotton balls, this is full of cloths and this is where I'll put all my towels. bathroom, but they currently need to be folded, so it's pretty empty at the moment. This is all the first aid supplies I have, so everything is in this container, it's much more compact than the one I had before. then these are all the medications that I currently have and then up here I keep beach towels and beach related items and then up here I keep the bleach so Carson can't get in and then also his humidifier because we don't use it that often, so look how much extra space I have.
I may need to start using this closet to store things other than bathroom-related items because I live in an apartment with limited closet space, so I'll probably end up reorganizing everything. of this again and put more in, but for now I feel so much better getting rid of all this stuff I just don't need. I also ended up storing 99 of my cleaning products under the bathroom sink. This is a huge space. I don't really have anything else to put in here and I feel like this is a good place for it and then I also have all my scent bars and body and bath works, wax melts whatever you want to call them, so for this vanity I bought this little shelf from Ikea and it's actually like a shelf riser, I think for the inside of your cabinets, but I thought it looks nice here and on top of it I have this little plant that I've had forever.
It's fake, obviously. just a spray bottle full of water sometimes when Carson's hair is really crazy in the morning I have to get it a little wet and comb it out so that's why it's there and then my scent warmer if you guys have never used Scentsy before really I love it. Scentsy products are amazing. My sister is a consultant so I've always bought everything from her and they have some really nice heaters like this one. I do not remember the name. I've had it forever, but I think it shows. Super cute, wax warmers are also awesome if you have kids because they are not candles so you don't have to worry about the kids getting burned.
Carson put his hand inside the heater earlier and it didn't burn him. It was totally fine, Scentsy warmers never get hot enough that you can burn yourself so that's really great when you have kids so I would recommend Scentsy. I always link Scentsy in my description box if you guys are interested, like I said, my sister is a consultant. If you go there and you shop at her scent store that helps her and then I just put some towelettes here rolled up, obviously they're for decoration, I don't think anyone ever uses them and then some cotton balls, but I think.
By using a little shelf riser here, not like an actual shelf, I think it turned out pretty adorable, so I'm happy with that. The only other thing I want to do here is just get a hook to hang a towel on. from here on out I would also really like to make some shelves and I can hang them above the toilet just to add a little more decoration, maybe hang a little picture or something around here to remind me that I actually have one that could hang there, like this that maybe in my next video I'll do that and now I need to clean my shower because it's disgusting so I'm going to do that.
I saw Amy Fritz doing this in one of her recent videos where she was cleaning and decorating her bathroom, she said she uses her Clorox disposable toilet bowls to clean the tub and I thought it seemed like a really cool idea so I decided to try it in my shower and I actually liked it, it made it a little easier. process for me and obviously these Clorox disposable toilet wands are disinfecting so they were cleaning my shower pretty good and I don't know, overall it worked. I wouldn't say it was the best I've ever had, but I did think.
He did a good job. I always clean the glass shower doors using my Thieves cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Thieves is amazing on glass surfaces, so mirrors, shower doors, window-like things, it works great, so I always use this to clean glass shower doors. and it works great, but that's the end of this week's video. I really hope you enjoyed this one and it gave you some cleaning motivation and got you up and ready to do some tidying projects. I promise you that you will feel it a million times. better if you tackle one of your big projects that you have been putting off today after watching this video, don't forget to subscribe to my channel if you are new here.
I have so many fun videos coming up that I'm so excited to watch. Share it with you, but we'll leave this one here. Thank you very much for watching once again. I really hope you enjoyed it and come back for the next one. Oh.
