Scales: The Insane Mermaid Movie Nobody Asked For

called. Mermaid Scales Are Real is a

that is on Netflix, it came out in 2017. I don't know if it originally came out on Netflix or not. While I was searching for it on Google while I sat down to record this video, I realized that the movie apparently has two names. , it's called

scales

,

mermaid

s are real and they also scale a

mermaid

's tail, so I don't know what the correct title is, but since I recently had a little more free time due to unforeseen events, I had some extra time to sit and watch this movie and I have to say that of all the different movies that offer different lower levels: mermaids, different origin stories, origins and mythology around mermaids, this is by far the worst, I think there could have been quite popular when it was first released so chances are some of you have seen it and if you have seen it then you know that this movie has a really strange ending.

It's very strange. There are many things that remain totally inexplicable. So, without further ado, here's my review of Scales Mermaids are real, so we get this really beautiful opening credits scene at the beginning of the movie. It's like flipping through an old magic book of pictures of mermaids that look like they've been drawn. by a fourth grader so I'm not sure what's up with that and then the main character mermaid gives us a little narration about how she's always dreamed of living in the water my whole life. I have dreamed about water, not just being in it or swimming. in it, but living in it, breathing it, tasting it, having it, uh, you know, at the beginning I was with her.

At first I thought, yeah, really cold water, I like to drink it, but then she got a little too into it and I was like, huh. she's like she's always dreamed of the water living in it tasting it breathing it loving it loving the water watching the water breaking buddy and spoiler alert she's a mermaid, we find out later in the movie that she's a mermaid. I know it's a big twist. It makes sense that she would long for water, I guess, but I don't know, I've never heard humans talk about air that way. Let me taste that air.

Sorry to spoil it so early in the movie. A girl discovers that she is a mermaid, but I mean the movies called mermaids are real, what did you expect it to be about? She discovers that the mermaids are real and then she sees them working well for the rest of the movie, but she doesn't understand. to join oh yeah, I stay pretty far away from that, what do you mean by her, she stayed pretty far away from the water, how do you stay away from the water all your life? I just imagined like someone invited her over to her house and she said um Don't you have a pool and you like sinks and stuff?

Sorry buddy, I try to stay away from those types of people. She tries to keep you away from the water. Yes, because you never know. I mean, if I get too close to the water, I might forget. how to act, could you try breathing, I love it, oh yeah, then after his narration he immediately wakes up, drinks two glasses of water and then goes to look out the window at the ocean he lives next to, so what happened to staying away? water her entire life she literally lives in the ocean her room literally doesn't even have walls so she can just look at the ocean all the time so we see a mermaid living her average life she has a mom who loves her who she takes her to school at the beginning from the movie mermaid meets the new kid in town adam played by jack dylan grazier he is actually being bullied by elsie fisher because he has brittle bone disease this is not your fight mermaid get out of here you know what you scream Loud enough I'll bring Principal Strasse here, not Hart, you know I can scream loud enough, my name is siren, buddy, you know they named me after an ambulance, right? and Adam and the mermaids start to become French, that's important in the movie.

Adams has brittle bones. mermaid is becoming her only friend in this new city she just moved to all the time what a weird question yes I have this disease that gives me brittle bones Oh all the time now they are brittle in the mornings they are usually They harden around lunch time and at night they get soft, that daytime mermaid just happens to start realizing she has some weird superpowers while sitting in science class, she just looks at this bottle of water and realizes that she can move water with her mind, she's so good at it in fact, she starts to get scared, what is she saying?

Did they add gasping sounds when she said she had to go to the bathroom? Excuse me, can I go to the bathroom? I haven't seen anyone go to the bathroom in 15 years. If someone went to the bathroom it doesn't make any sense since my bones are getting soft but she doesn't actually go to the bathroom she goes home she's like she has superpowers I can't go to school anymore I have to go home so In fact, we find out that the mermaid mother we are seeing in the movie is actually not her real mother, she was adopted and her real mother died right when the mermaid was born the next night, which is when everything becomes real friends with the mermaids and his mother and also the mermaids.

Adoptive mom, everyone sits down to dinner with a mermaid to tell her that she is a mermaid, honey, you are a mermaid, so is your birth mother. I am also. That's what mermaids do. this makes you a very unique mermaid, if you can do this your blood may also have healing powers which would make you very desirable to hunters, so yes there are hunters, apparently there are guys who just go around killing mermaids to to be able to use their blood for healing powers because the blood of the mermaids has healing powers, their blood can cure diseases and any injury, and these hunters want to track the mermaids so they can use their blood to help people and their mermaids don't want it. that They do not want. to help they are like hunters stay away from us we don't want to damn we don't want to help cure anyone just leave us alone we just want to play in the sea I don't understand couldn't they like to do blood donation campaigns or something like that and donate blood and send it to hospitals where they can use it to cure any disease, but apparently not, if they just want to do their thing, have fun like a little mermaid in the ocean while we walk around here. with our brittle bone anyway the mermaid doesn't take any of this well well this has been a really great dinner thanks for coming so she runs off you know like girls do to bathe you'll be fine my reflection In the mirror, no.

The hunters will come and try to kill you because you are just a reflection in the mirror, they will come and try to kill me and while she is in the bathroom she starts transforming into a crow, so she gets scared by her disgusting little fish legs. and she jumps out of the bathtub revealing her last fish body, the tail leg, it's really disgusting, why don't they make the mermaid tail look so disgusting and fleshy? It's also strange that it doesn't bend at all, it's too rigid. dough your legs when you turn into a mermaid just turn into a rigid mass and yeah maybe you'll stick with my disgusting thing to keep saying over and over again but you know what a rigid mass is okay it just looks like a leg , they are like his two legs. fused together in a big, muscular position, like in this movie, mermaids don't have pretty tails, they just have one big, muscular leg instead of two small ones, which is why she's so grossed out by this big, rigid mass that she actually falls off. the fainted soil is my real living mother, yes she lives in the ocean.

Oh wow, that's tough, so mermaids. The real mom has been alive this whole time, but she's a mermaid, so she's been like living in the ocean doing whatever mermaids do. I guess mermaids. Mom wanted to protect her from hunters. Looks like that didn't work, right? Because what do you think is going to happen in this movie? That's right, they will find her and try to kill her. You need something? before going to Slumberland he could use some water, but then when the nurse comes back, the mermaid is gone, the nurse just stands there with her hug, kiss, gasp, but she escapes from the hospital and goes to see the only person. that she senses that she understands her friend Adam and goes to throw rocks to get his attention, but instead she is greeted by Adams's creepy father, you are about to throw rocks at me, no sir, at your window, but I decided not do it before you came out, who are you?

Now we're not going anywhere Missy, then Adam and the mermaid go for a walk alone and they still don't understand that Adam's father kills mermaids. The mermaid tells Adam that she is a mermaid. I am a mermaid. Wait, that's reckless. I don't try. I do not do it. I think she has her own interest in mind, so to further emphasize the point that Adams' father kills the mermaid. Adam takes the mermaid to his father's shipping container storage unit, where he has a lot of memories of killing mermaids.
