Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra in 2024 - Worth Buying?

It's been about 3 years since I first bought the S21 Ultra and in this video I wanted to share my long-term experience. I've been using it every day since its launch and although Samsung has given us many great phones lately, the S21 Ultra remains one of my favorites. This is the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra in

. When it comes to build quality, the S21 Ultra is still incredible. It has a unique design that still feels good in the hand. It is a heavy device and for me. I always felt very premium. I used it for most of the case and while I love the mat backing, I noticed it got quite a bit scratchy even with the case on.

If you don't want your device to get scratched, I recommend it. to get a skin as the back of this phone is very smooth other than that I really love the design of the S21 Ultra, it has slight curves which are not as distracting but make the device more stylish as it is also IP rated. I use it many times to take pictures while swimming and to date I have never had any problems. Another area where the S21 Ultra shines is with the display. It has a large 6.8-inch Dynamic Amole display with QHD resolution and a 120HZ refresh rate.

S21 Ultra is just amazing, it is very sharp and smooth with vibrant colors and gets very bright outside even in direct sunlight. I never had any problem viewing content outside as its brightness is sufficient. I also watch a lot of videos and movies on this device and doing that is simply a pleasure on top of it has a camera cutout that you will immediately forget as it is very small and does not get in the way of the S21 Ultra It still remains one of my favorite multimedia devices to Even though I have many other phones, my S21 Ultra was just updated with Android 14 and the software experience is better than ever, it never lags and is very fast at doing everything.

On the other hand, it has been incredible, it has 12 GB and no matter how many apps you open, it will keep them ready in the background when it comes to cameras, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is almost a complete package. I say almost because, although it has incredible cameras. Overall, it has some slight shortcomings that are

We start with the main camera which is basically one of the best out there, even 3 years later it takes exceptional photos in daylight and in low light the photos taken with this camera always turn out well. Take curved photos at 12 megapixels, but you can also use the full 108 megapixel mode for extra detail.

The ultra-wide camera is really good too. It also takes great images in daylight and even in low light it delivers amazing results. It also has autofocus. Also functioning as a macro camera, the S21 Ultra also has two zoom lenses, one of which is 3X and the other 10x. The 3x camera takes great daylight photos in low light. It is very difficult to activate this camera since it always requires more light. The 10x camera on the other hand is in a league of its own during the day, this lens has been very useful to me at night in this Zoom range, the phone decides to use the 3x lens instead of the 10x one, for On the other hand, it is activated when taking photographs. of the moon for example and it does an amazing job with it, the front camera is 40 megapixels and the pictures it takes are sharp even when you crouch down at 10 megapixels when using full resolution.

The photos are some of the most detailed on any smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra can record videos up to 8K, but this resolution lacks stabilization. However, the 4K videos taken with this phone are some of the best in the Android world. The videos are very sharp and the stabilization is incredible. This phone also does an amazing job. work with focus as it never misses the target Overall, the S21 Ultra's cameras are still very capable and reliable in most situations. Another area where the S21 Ultra should be praised is the audio, this phone has stereo speakers and they get very loud and clear sound quality is excellent even at the highest volume yet.

I have been praising the S21 Ultra in all categories, but that is about to change, as this phone does not have a good battery, the battery life of the S21 Ultra is the weakest point. It doesn't have terrible battery life, but it's far behind other phones with this capacity. I always find myself charging it two or even three times a day. I am a heavy user and the battery during this time has degraded a bit. a lot, but it never had great battery life to begin with. This is the only complaint I have with the S21 Ultra.

Charging is also very slow compared to other devices. It also has wireless charging, but on the other hand it is even slower. The wireless power sharing feature has been useful to me since I carry my watch on the back even though it drains the phone's battery much more than it charges the watch, that's all with the weakness of this phone. Now we move on to some of its other strengths. First of all, the in-display fingerprint scanner found on this device is one of the fastest and most reliable. My fingers aren't always in the best condition, but the S21 Ultra does an incredible job of recognizing them.

A facial scanner is also present. It's very fast and reliable, it's not as secure as Face ID for example, but it's faster and I always use it. What are my final thoughts on the s 21 Ultra? Is it

? 100% convinced, I say. yes, its price has dropped quite a bit and today you can find it for less than $400 and in excellent condition for $400, almost no other phone can offer you as much as the S21 Ultra, apart from the shorter battery life, the S21 Ultra is excellent in all aspects. No phone is perfect otherwise, but the S21 Ultra is simply timeless.
