Jun 05, 2021
Hello everyone, today we are going to try something new. I've never done this before, so I'm going to share everything I

learned

with you about cave

painting

. One thing I know from the beginning is that they want to make sure you wash the

rock

s before you start. I did this with soap and hot water. They seemed to have a little coating on them, you know

what

I'm saying, and especially if they come from outside, you should definitely wash them a little. The materials I used were acrylic craft paint, metallic markers, and oil-based fine tip Sharpie markers, that's a mouthful.

You may also want to try painter's tape, and of course you'll need a paintbrush if you're using acrylic paint. One thing about the ones with acrylic paint is you want to give them as much drying

time

as possible because by the way, there's too much paint on that

rock

and then trying to smooth everything out really, really well, a lot of them needed multiple coats. because I'm using light paint on dark colors, so make sure you remove it

first

. You can dry them while you work on the other rocks. I also wanted to make some with geometric shapes, so I tried this painter's tape to make sure.

You really push down on the edges because since it's not a smooth surface there can be a lot of bleeding so when you start

painting

with painter's tape you want to start along the edge and make sure you get a really good layer there because you need to remove the painter's tape before it dries or it can lift the paint and then the other areas are easier to paint so you can paint them once the tape is lifted as you can see it seeped under my paint every

time

I tried Doing this with all the stones I tried, it seeped under the paint.

I was able to scrape off the paint a bit with my fingernail and then tried to straighten the line with my square brush, so now I'm just blending. Media here I like to layer the media with the rocks, it was a lot of fun and I'm just drawing a couple of lines of polka dots to draw the perfect polka dots, just draw a line of polka dots and then on the line below draw each polka dot. place a dot below the two dots above and in the center of them, so since I didn't like the painter's tape method for this rock which is completely dry by the way, I just drew a line with a pencil and then I used my square brush like I said.

It is very easy to draw a straight line with a square brush to draw that line. I found this to be more effective. I will probably use it in the future as you can see my paint has chipped so be very careful and you may want to seal them. with a little Mod Podge, but for this pattern I'm using my black Sharpie paint pencil and instead of making polka dots, I'm doing something like a kind of scribble on an oval shape, it's like a couple of badly drawn dashes together, the point is it's messy so I really like that you can be super fast and imperfect and that's

what

I really love that pattern so for the next one we're going to draw on a bare rock with the Sharpie oil paint markers , everything you need to do.
It's drawing a stem. I like to make mine a little curved because it adds some movement to the little stem and then for the leaves you just draw two little teardrop shapes and make sure the teardrop dots meet. the stem is very easy and when you get to the top you will just draw a teardrop sticking out of the top of the stem. I tend to really enjoy detailed work, so I'll go back and add some. vein through the center of my leaves, you can do this if you want, but if you don't want to, you can leave it out, it's totally unnecessary and then I'm going to fill in some of the blank spaces creating this little Kluft leaf. cluster just draws three of the tears and then adds his little vein, you can skip that if you want or not, it's totally up to you for the last one, you know, I have to work on my lettering so I'm just using my metallic marker.
I wish they had looked a little more metallic, so if you know a good metallic pen, like a paint pen or something, let me know because I'm definitely trying to find one and then this is calligraphy if you need it. to see some popular calligraphy videos, I have a few and I'll link to them on my channel, but basically all you do is thicken the downward strokes of your writing and I'll go back in with my pen to draw some little stars to make it look like you know, glitter, Brightness is the situation we are looking for.
I let it dry so as not to smudge anything you want to do, that's for sure since it's such a smooth surface the markers can take a little while to dry and then I just continued adding my stars around their glitter. I hope you enjoy the video. Thank you very much for watching. I will see you very soon and don't forget to subscribe. Goodbye Leon, the look I'm wearing, all focused on Kat Von D. shadow + light
