Recognized and never completed by the Verona Band of Alam County, this land was and continues to be of great historical importance to the MMA onlyy tribe and our people are still here today, where we stand here in the city of Oakland, it is part of our 10,000 year history. I just want to take a moment to say that it is an honor to work with one of the most beautiful people on this planet, one of the best environmental lawyers the world has ever known, fighting for people his entire career against corporate corruption, toxic corporations that pollute the waters and Oceans, he started the River Guardians and the Water Guardians to protect our environment. We now live in a toxic world. Over 260 toxic poisons are found in the umbilical cord of pregnant women alone here in the United States of America and why they are there is because of our regulatory agencies.
They have never done their job to protect us, but they have been protecting corporations from us, which are not the United States of America, which are not us, for and by the people of the United States, and we have watched over the last few years as two sitting presidents really and here we are seeing trillions of dollars go to the ultra rich while the middle class struggles to pay our bills to go on vacation and have that pursuit of life freedom and the pursuit of happiness and now we have a chance for someone who is wasting all our minds when he talks about all the issues of our time, many of the cameras that are lined up here today will call you and ask you what your strategy is, we know the mainstream news has been trying to hide it, but still So now it's number one among independents in the United States of America, which is now the largest party in the United States of America, that's how disenfranchised we are, we're number one among those under 35 in the entire United States. and why what was the strategy that I am going to follow Let him know right now, it was actually very simple, we are going to let him speak his mind, he will speak in long form, podcasts and interviews that will give the full concept of where his ideas come from , you're not caught up in a political bumper sticker, brief.
Lines written by other people. I can tell you personally that everything he says comes from his heart, his education, his historical knowledge, which we are all seeing in all the interviews he has been doing, and if you haven't been watching Robert Kennedy Jr. on Kennedy 24.com or If your family members don't already know who you are, ask them to go to your YouTube channel, Twitter, Facebook or Tik Tok, where you are changing the world as we know it, in America we are so tired of the duality of the fight between two parties when we know we have such big problems now ai techn technologies facial recognition software RIS our cell phones can track wherever we go and they tried to use it against us during the covid pandemic they erased.
Our freedom of speech censored Robert Kennedy Jr and filed a case against our nation that is why we see doctors and scientists remain silent at the critical moment when they should have been using social media to share ideas, thoughts and experiences. of the world. first line of that experience and instead we silenced them, shut them down and were left with the regulatory agency experts who told us that by staying six feet away from each other, blocking our businesses and keeping our children out of the schools, it was how are we going to handle this. only to find out now in front of Congress when Tony Fouchy says yes, that six-foot social distancing thing that just appeared and had no basis in science, the same man who told us: when you challenge me, you challenge science. never before have we seen science owned by science stuck in its tracks, a science so incapable of following the scientific method of allowing every scientist to speak, everyone to challenge the process until we find the real answers, that regulatory capture of our regulatory agencies , that corporate corruption, that The owner of our government will only remain in the hands of one man, Robert Kennedy Jr, so tell your friends, tell your families if we are really going to handle the problems of our time, if we are going to get out of these wars that are costing billions. of dollars on our part destroying our economy through wars that never end if we are going to stop we need someone bold, someone beautiful, someone who has defended us from the beginning, that is Robert Kennedy Jr.
I feel very honored to have you. Everyone here in Oakland, this is the next step in what has been simply an incredible miraculous journey. Robert Kennedy Jr will be on the ballot in all 50 states and in every one of these news agencies, every one of these news agencies that continue to publish articles about Joe Biden. and Donald Trump and Joe Biden and Donald Trump are so close to who will take it, no one is talking about the elephant in the room, the guy who is getting 20, 24, 26% in the battleground states and still much of it of the nation says "not me." I don't even know he's running, but my news agencies are lying to me, well guess what's about to change.
Mark my words, we will be on the ballot happening shortly and all the news agencies that lied to their audience and said this. It's a two-person race, you're going to have to change your tune and you're going to have to start talking to Robert Kennedy Jr. and let me tell you the last part, the last part of our strategy is simple, what we're going to do. We have recognized in polls what we have recognized as Robert Kennedy Jr. has traveled throughout the United States. It's really simple once you've heard Robert Kennedy Jr. you can't stop listening to Robert Kennedy Jr.
Are you ready for a miracle to happen? Are you ready for another one? voice in this political system, are you tired of the bipartisan dominance over truth and freedom? Get ready because today we are going to announce the question that everyone in the media has been asking and it sounds a bit like this, well, it looks like Robert F Kennedy Jr is about to make headlines with his running mate Choice, he is ready to announce who will be his vice president and is reportedly none of the usual suspects, with both Democrats and Republicans increasingly anxious about the threat of a third party.
As RFK is set to formally announce his vice presidential running mate, RFK Junr expects a big boost this week as well when he

announces

his vice presidential pick, our independent presidential candidate, Robert F. Ked Jr, hopes to announce his vice presidential running mate. formula this week, we are expected to have a vice president announcement from RFK Jr. Well, number one, RFK Jr., the former Democrat who became an independent last year, wanted to run for president of the United States as an independent and in the ballot in a good number of states you have to make an announcement about who. his running mate will be independent presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr says he plans to announce his vice presidential running mate here in Oakland on March 26.
Are these names just grabbing people's attention or is one of them a real possibility, Maran, so I hate to do it? I may be Debbie Downer, but I have a story to tell and I think many of you will relate to it. 2015 was an extremely challenging year in my house. She was experiencing a wide range of symptoms including skin rashes, neuroneuropathy and some eye problems. At the same time, my son had crippling migraines and ADHD. My daughter had digestive issues that made her so miserable. We were all on various medications, none of which were particularly helpful and, in fact, in my case made things considerably worse, like most moms and I.
As you know, many of you are here today. I decided to start digging into the research to find out what is making our family so sick, so I read an entire library of functional medicine books, ran some tests, and discovered that we had microbiomes and our systems were severely imbalanced. The nutrient levels were extremely low even though we were eating all this food, so I wondered what the hell has changed so much in our food system that my kids and I can no longer tolerate gluten or have the fundamental nutrients our cells need. they need to function.
On a basic biological level, what could that be like? We feel better without consuming gluten, but this just didn't make sense. It's not just my family that is struggling with these issues. The United States spends more than $4 trillion on healthcare. Most of that goes. towards chronic diseases today six and 10 adults have a chronic disease four out of 10 have two or more n% of men and 11% of women of childbearing age are infertile, which should be very scary, statistics They are also incredibly dark for children, one in 10 has ADHD, one in six has asthma, one in three has a food intolerance, one in five has eczema, one inevery 20 have seizures and one in 22 in the state of California has autism.
That should be horrible, that number in 1970 was 1 in 10,000 today. What the government media and universities will not discuss is that our food supply is literally covered in carcinogenic, endocrine-disrupting, microbiome-destroying pesticides. Our farmland has become a dumping ground for toxic chemicals that our regulators refuse to test or test and then lie about what they found: The pharmaceutical giant bear bought the agricultural chemicals company Monsanto in 20 in 2018, yes, and now a pharmaceutical company effectively owns our food supply, so I have to ask you what incentive the bear possibly has to keep our population healthy right now. It's the same old story of prioritizing corporate profits and bureaucratic power over our basic right to human health.
It is made possible by the total regulatory capture of our food and agriculture system and it must stop immediately and Bobby Kennedy is the only person who can do it, yes. Our farm bill has historically reported monoculture chemical megacultures. We absolutely urgently need to pass a farm bill that supports family farmers with regenerative farming practices and nutrient-dense crops beyond the clutches of Roundup Ready GMOs that are making us all sick. We will not reduce the $4. Trillion health bill until we regenerate the soil on our farms Cutting the ties between regulators and corporations and discontinuing our dependence on toxic chemicals both on the farm and in the pharmacy Kennedy's promise to undo corporate capture will help ending this chronic disease epidemic we finally have a leader who shares my vision for the future Bobby Kennedy is the only candidate who will make this life-saving transformation of our food and agriculture system a reality, tell corporations how their Reign over The Regulators has ended and will return the basic right to health to the hands of the citizens of the United States.
Thank you. Mr. Kennedy B created all of this B Scott, we welcome Mr. Kennedy to this beautiful farm, which is an organic farm in the middle of what people would call an adaptive community. The things we deal with as black people in our communities are a result of racism it redlines all those different things that kept our communities in poor health, the food our community is getting is sick because it comes from big ads . Black communities are food deserts, you can't get good food, here's what black kids eat. They are drinking large Cokes and are eating twinkies and processed foods.
Mr. Kenny's presence and what he is talking about is a perfect example of what we need to do ourselves. He is making a personal commitment to fight. You have to fight for your land, you fight for your business, you fight for everything that is of interest to you, not only do we have to give people access to healthy foods, but we also have to get rid of all the bad foods, the chemical foods. , it's not, it's not food, just take it out. with voice in it I am Robert F Kennedy Jr and I am running for President of the United States and I approve this message wait for your horses we are just a few minutes away I just want to draw your attention to these screens here we have a QR Code for all people with disabilities hearing whether you're live in the audience or you're watching this live stream as it's happening, just scan this QR code and that will take you to the um hearing impaired section so you can see everything.
I wrote for you, the next guest is a personal hero of mine and should really be considered a hero in the world when there was a small group of scientists, like I said before, you are basically lying about what would work by deciding to lock down our nation. For the first time in history because of a virus there was a group of people who went to the White House to talk to President Trump at that time to bring him a different perspective that was shared by thousands and thousands of health experts around the world. world, they wrote. a document called the Great Barington Declaration a document that will stand the test of time and be heralded as the path the world should have taken.
It is my honor and pleasure to introduce you to one of the authors of the Great Barington Declaration. Jay Bachara has never given a speech at a political rally, but gosh, first I want to thank Mr. Kennedy for the opportunity to speak today, on this important day in American history, and I wanted to take the opportunity to defend the First Amendment and for free. speech I I know, I know that Bobby Kennedy has been the victim of an effort to censor his voice and I have to say that I have been the victim of this same effort to censor free speech in this country I I I am a I am a scientific dissident.
I have been a professor at Stanford Medical School for more than 20 years. Barington's great declaration. How many people signed it? God bless you all. It was a paper I wrote with professors from Harvard and Oxford in In October 2020, the world was on lockdown, we had closed our schools, we had closed our businesses, we had closed our churches with the idea that it was necessary for our health, but I knew with certainty. certainty that this was a lie, that there were tens of thousands. of the doctors and scientists who said we didn't need to close our schools we didn't need to close our churches we didn't need to close our churches we proposed instead to better protect vulnerable older people people we proposed not to disturb our children's lies following similar ideas, the Swedish public health authority protected human life much better than the Americans, in fact, they have one of the best results in protecting human life during the pandemic without closures and without disrupting the lives of our children their children their children not suffered no learning loss during the pandemic their elderly were better protected and their young people lived as close to a normal life as possible lockdown in California my children did not see the inside of a classroom for a year and a half of Florida opened its schools and have longer life expectancy and better economic outcomes, psychological outcomes, and health outcomes than California.
The sad thing, the sad thing I want to share with you is that the powers that be within the federal government decided They didn't like our statement one bit. The director of the NIH wrote to Tony Fouchi 4 days after he wrote asking for a devastating takedown. A devastating takedown of the Declaration. And to me, it was part of a broad federal declaration. The effort to censor any critic the same way the government censored voices is by telling social media platforms who and whom to censor and what ideas to censor if Facebook removed a post if Facebook removed a post. on Twitter during the pandemic, it is almost certainly because government actors, the surgeon general's office, the CDC, the NIH, and even the FBI and the White House itself tell social media companies to censor it .
The good news is that we now know what they do. It depends on knowing how they did it and why they are doing it and we can defend ourselves. We have the Twitter archives that told us what they were doing. We have court cases. A federal judge declared what they were doing. An Orwellian Ministry. of Truth and it's the kind of thing that should never happen in a country with the First Amendment but it did, what's the punch line? Freedom of expression is essential for our health. Free science. We need dissidents. We need dissenting voices in public health because they are very.
They are often right, the government censored him because they knew he was wrong. We need people like Bobby Kennedy and any other politician who wants to support free speech, we need those voices to restore the first amendment in this country because that is how we protect our health and how we protect our democracy. You know, I work in public health and I don't think public health should be political, so I feel deeply uncomfortable. I mean public health should be right for Democrats equally. for Republicans for independents, everyone equally is something that I think we can all do, because Americans have our back, so I'm happy to work with anyone who speaks out in favor of free speech at a time like now, when it's in danger, and I am delighted that Bobby Kennedy has lent his considerable voice to the cause thank you very much I feel like the whole country needs to know what is happening here it is beyond alarming this is the worst thing I have ever seen in my life I witnessed this Topian nightmare of this uncontrolled flow of despair.
Humanity crossed the border and converged here due to ill-conceived policies by senior leaders of the United States. When President Biden took office, he signed some executive orders that basically stopped all wall construction, put our agents at risk, put migrants at risk, incentivized profit making for smugglers, at the end of the day, this It is a business, billions of dollars are made every month transporting people to the United States, these children are being exploited along this route, there is nothing human in this room. obviously, we designed it to be as comfortable as possible because the reality is that no child should have to come to this exam room.
We see a lot of violence as people cross the border through Mexico or their country. that devastation in human lives, what happens if a family does not have the money for the plane ticket? Well, the rural woman says we can, we can buy the ticket and, uh, you buy the ticket, yeah, they told them they can get a B the American dream here and that dream turns into a nightmare along the trip to Arizona Chris CLM hello everyone my name is Chris CLM and I retired as Chief Patrol Agent of Yuma Arizona on December 31, 2022 after serving over 27 years as United States Border Patrol Agy I spent many years along the border south.
I have witnessed the good, the bad, and the ugly of what can happen with poor policies and lack of leadership since Washington DC last year. I met Bobby when he came to Yuma. I spent time with him on his campaign we discussed the realities of the junta not only did he spend time with me but as you saw in the video he saw firsthand hundreds of people from all over the world illegally entering the United States at all hours of the day. and the night tying the hands of our agents while the cells profited from human exploitation met with the mayor the sheriff the county commissioner the hospital staff non-profits the food bank The Domestic Violence Shelter the ranchers and the farmers all who have been impacted by an out of control border I was amazed that someone of your position and stature spent three days listening and learning not just checking a box and taking a photo while we talked, he asked great questions but most importantly, He listened and as we talked I shared my vision of border security and as a career law enforcement officer, it was important to me that he understood how necessary it was to secure our borders, how critical and integral to our immigration system security is. border, but border security and immigration are often combined. and that leads to further division in rhetoric, so I shared my vision of what the border should be and that we should be a border made of high fences and wide gates.
The high fences represented the border security system. The right infrastructure where the technology is needed. Assist and assist our border security agents along the border and at ports. Staffed to carry out our very important safety mission and backed by strong policies, but equally important, equally important were wide doors. The wide gates are our legal paths to the United States. strong and effective policies to allow those who come legally more efficiently to improve and strengthen our Trade to allow trade and travel to flourish clear up the huge backlog for those who follow the rule of law more efficient means for people who want to come in can add to our way of life, people should not wait years or a lifetime to come to our country for the right reasons and if our current workforce cannot provide the means for businesses large or small, we need a best way to recruit and secure foreign workers without bankrupting small businesses with outdated, overly regulated systems.
I think Bobby sees this problem as an opportunity. He saw firsthand how important it was to secure our border. He saw the need to clean up the current immigration system and I know we live along the border. for many years that a secure borderIt is a safe and healthy border for both countries, that people should be able to come and go through the ports of entry to see family and friends and feel safe doing so and as someone who has been around the world. Like Bobby, he knows that working together with Mexico will be key, being a beacon of hope for all those around the world, it is a tenant of our country, but so is the rule of law, so consequences are necessary for those who take advantage of our system and the people along the way and I certainly think he knows that transparency and accountability in our government are important to regaining the trust and credibility of the American people, as I said a moment ago .
I met Bobby last year and have come to know that he views these challenges through a compassionate, common-sense lens that is so desperately needed today, taking clear, kind, common-sense actions by creating high fences to protect others. our country from human exploitation at the hands of cartels protecting our country, our businesses, our communities and our children in building many wide doors to better serve the needs of our country and for good people around the world to help to all those seeking a better life for themselves and their families is important. Our country cannot afford to continue on the current border security and immigration path that exists. strength and compassion and there is intelligence and common sense and I see all of this in Bobby.
I am grateful to know him and we are all grateful that he is running for president of the United States. Thank you all. I'm back, but I'm only here for a second and it's just to introduce someone else who is very important. We have a very important speaker coming up. The name is Callie and I love the last name because this guy means a lot to us. actually, the co-founder of true Med and true Med is what we need in our lives to understand about food and agribusiness. He consulted for food companies and farmers earlier this year and is now an advocate for changing incentives. for our sick care system, which benefits from more Americans simply being sick.
Ado cie meant working for the food and pharmaceutical industries Early in my career, my job was to funnel money to institutions that Americans trust, we funneled money to civil rights groups in exchange for The NAACP said it was imperative to keep Coca-Cola on food stamps; They actually said it was racist to remove ultra-processed foods and sodas from food stamps today. Soft drinks are the number one item purchased with that program. We have funded American medical organizations. The Diabetes Association of all groups received millions of dollars from Coca-Cola and said that small cans of the drink were a good option for diabetics.
The American Academy of Pediatrics received 80% of its funding. It comes from the pharmaceutical industry, we funnel money to researchers. As a junior employee, I was surprised to be in communication with a prominent professor at Harvard and the TS school of nutrition. I found out that the food industry comes from 11 times more funding for nutrition research than the N. I found out that Over 50% of Harvard Medical School's budget is related to the pharmaceutical industry in some way. We funnel money to the media. The pharmaceutical industry funds over 50% of all TV news funding and I realized it was not to influence consumers, but to influence the news itself. why during covid, which was essentially a foodborne illness, this was really a condition that didn't kill metabolically healthy people, there was no curiosity, there was no reporting on that, of course, it was just a pharmaceutical solution from the that was spoken.
We fund politicians, the health industry funds politicians. with direct donations 10 5 times more than the oil industry 3 times more than any other industry and we fund the regulatory agencies, the FDA itself, 75% of their funds do not come from taxpayers but from pharmaceutical companies and I can tell you that, Being a DC, bureaucracies are designed to grow our system is rigged and the disastrous ramifications are evident: nine of the 10 American deaths are related to preventable chronic diseases linked to food. 90% of healthcare costs are linked to these preventable food-linked conditions. The statistics are unfathomable. 50% of the cases. young adults are overweight or obese 33% of young adults have prediabetes 25% of young adults have fatty liver disease this is a moral stain on our country the childhood obesity rate in Japan is 4% we are committing genocide against our children, why?
It is the healthcare system that allows this to happen, there is a simple reason why every institution that impacts your health has incentives for you to be sick and incentivizes you to be healthy, that includes medical schools, insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies and hospitals, a deadpan statement of economic fact is that There has been no more profitable invention in American history than a sick child than a chronically ill child. They suffer and accumulate more comorbidities and more interventions, but they do not die. They just suffer today. stens metformin antidepressants Aderall. They are prescribed like candy in high schools, and the American Academy of Pediatrics recently issued a press release saying it is an urgent national priority to prescribe OIC to 50% of 12-year-olds.
This is a lifelong medication. This is a story of optimism that the American people want. be healthy they want their children to be healthy they want to prosper the incentives are against us they have turned against us quickly and can change quickly with leadership we need a president who questions science who doesn't just trust science We need a president who realizes that this diabolical pact between the food industry that makes us sick and the health industry that benefits is the biggest problem we face. We need a president who has the moral clarity to appoint Dr. J. to lead our medical policies.
To name Kelly Peterson. to oversee our agricultural policies we need a president who will take on agriculture and lobbyists who will take on the corrupt bureaucrats at NIH and FDA we need a president who will say less OCI more exercise less ssris more sunlight and healthy food we need a president who will have the moral clarity to declare a state of emergency for the epidemic of chronic childhood diseases that is devastating our human capital and we need a president who realizes that we have talked so much about childhood diseases that this is the most important issue in our country . and we need a president who understands that we cannot poison our children on a large scale and we need a president who has a plan to fix it we need a Kennedy in the White House thanks to the group he controls I have sued NIH CDC EPA FCC FDA In all of them I have filed many lawsuits against the Department of Agriculture, the WDA represents and promotes the interests of large industrial agriculture factory farms, large corporations such as Monsanto and Carill Tyson Purdue and large oil fertilizer companies, words of the oil companies and Actually the USDA operates full time to punish and destroy the small farmers of this country and to promote the business interests of these large industrial agricultural interests.
Americans can see the corruption and we all feel that this system has been rigged against the American middle class. The wealth is being extracted from the American people and destroying the health of our children and causing this chronic disease epidemic that is the biggest fight against the American middle class in our country and it is being used to benefit this oligarchy, this new kleptocracy. corporate. I gave another warm welcome to Tim Hockenberry. I was walking along that high saw belt above me. The infinite Skyway seen beneath the Golden Valley. Oh, this land was made. I begged and rambled.
I follow him to the dark sands of the diamond desert. Everything around the bo was. calling oh this land you sing with me now this land is your land this land is my land from California to New York Island the Redwood forest flows water for this land you and I when the sun came out shining I was strong the we FS waving the cloud of dust rolling The Voice came singing he was for this land I you I sing with me this land is your land this land is M for California New York Island Redwood forest G water stream oh this land you say this you I mean All this earth was made for you.
I have a lot to talk about. They shouldn't have kept me quiet for so long because now I'm really going to let them loose for the next 18 months. You're going to hear a lot from me. We have used our editorial judgment and have not included extensive portions of that exchange. I don't know how we're going to reach people now. I know there's a lot more press availability now that I've announced that I'm going to be able to talk to people I haven't been able to talk to for 18 years and who have censored me from speaking if we can't have a common consensus on what that is. true and what's not true, we're going to be at each other's throats and then the government's remedy for that is to silence people who don't agree with the official story and marginalize them and vilify them and mislead them and, you know, turn them into Paras, how can the Kennedy campaign campaign today in the face of all this? hostility until now, the internet has been our friend to some extent because it is in our hands and it is possible for us to broadcast live, it is possible for us to broadcast our own message even though all other websites seem to be possible and intended. whether to censor that message or directly attack their agenda until they turn off the Internet, those are the means that can be used to keep this campaign going, you know?
And if they turn off the Internet, then we'll have to rely on face-to-face. -facial communication I look at this crowd I see all the flags of Europe I see people of all colors we live in a sea of propaganda and censorship and when I look at the media it's all these narratives that everyone wants you to think and act a certain way and most people are not, they don't have a good defense against propaganda between Facebook and the white house there was a recognition that they were being asked and they were complying with the censorship of information that everyone knew was It's true that it increased the cost of the Ukrainian war to 3 billion.
I'm not going to run a petty campaign or a personal campaign against President Biden and I think everyone wants vaccines. Look, when the racetrack is muddy, every horse has a chance to win. well look where politics is in our nation and in our world today, it's a muddy horse track, Bobby has a great chance to do this, we have Paul Kennedy Jr. he basically hasn't gone anywhere, but he's at 20% and with an absolutely hostile media champion, a new Echelon Insights poll finds that Robert F Kennedy Jr's favorability figures among likely voters are the same as those of Vice President Kamla Harris and Donald Trump at 39 % and only a few points below President Biden, who is at 43%, but the most notable statistic here is that RFK's preference for Jr. is skyrocketing.
I think a lot of Americans are really interested in someone who tells the truth and if I'm right about that then they know this election will have a happy ending and if it doesn't I'll still have a happy ending oh oh wow this place is going down filling I'm talking about you are here how do you feel so far do you love it? wait, let's try this again. I have an other question. Are we taking Bobby to the White House? America, did you hear that our next guest that I'm going to mention is Ron K? Ron Korn has been involved in Monoman language restoration efforts for over 20 years.
He has dedicated his career to learning and teaching the Monoman language. He has done it throughout his career. in high schools, at the college level and in tribal and tribal programs and throughout the community through his non-profit organization, let's all leave it to Ron k for the majority. Hello everyone, how are we feeling today. We have an amazing artist coming up, she will sing for us. She shows that she is from the house of hell and I don't know if you know. the house of hell but the house of hell was recognized by Ronald Reagan for the work that Miss hell did in the community so everyone without further ado I am going to introduce you to this wonderful wonderful performer MAA hell oh beautiful for the space skies for the amber of the grain for Purple Majesty of the mountain above the fruits that America plants a country loves and mercy M that life America America may God refine his gold until all success is nobility and every Divine every G div God bless America ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage the chief of staff of the kennedy campaign, miss bridget rasmusen, hello everyone, thank you so much for being here today.
I just wanted to come and say a few words about the We the People party here in California, who's ever heard of We the People, wooing incredible, incredible, so as an independent candidate, Bobby doesn't automatically appear on the ballot here in California, so that we form a party called we, the people. To be able to get you access to the ballots here in California, which is also my home state, I'm actually from San Francisco, so just over the bridge, we have dozens of volunteers here, they all have green badges and they all can I'll guide you to through the steps in just a couple of minutes to sign up for We the People, and that's how we're going to get Bobby on the ballot in California and ultimately get them to the White House, so yeah, thank you very much again for being here. and being part of this historic day, how is everyone?
There is a lot of energy in this building. Let's make some noise for RFK, let's do it, let's keep the energy good. Let's do something collaborative to make sure we continue to show our support. I want everyone to take out their phones right now or in three seconds and I want you to text the future to 20241. Remember to text the future to 20241. Are you all ready to declare your independence? Are you all ready to declare your independence? Everyone is watching and this audience. once again, technological future until 20241 and we will see you soon my independence, we declare our on this is a day of affirmation, a celebration of freedom, we are here in the name of freedom, we are committed to peaceful and non-violent change, we must recognize the full human equality of all our people, not only of those of a particular religion, not only of those of a particular race, not only of the rich, but of all peoples, we must do so for the sole and fundamental reason that It is the right thing to do to put a new spin on the country's most famous RF Dynasty political worker this morning, that it is time to heal a divided nation and return power to the people.
Robert Keny J. Today we are told that our nation is hopelessly divided, but I found something. different as I travel through this country I have witnessed a surge of optimism that I have never seen before, something is moving in us that says it doesn't have to be this way and that is why I have come here today to declare our independence from the tyranny of corruption that robs us of affordable lives, our belief in the future, and our respect for each other, but to do so I must first declare my own independence, independence from the Democratic Party and all other political parties.
I have not made this decision lightly. It is very painful for me to let go of the party of my uncles, my father, my grandfather and my two great-grandfathers of My Sacrifice, it is nothing compared to the risk our founding fathers took when they signed the Declaration of Independence 247 years ago. that if their Revolution failed every last one of them would be hanged, they chose to risk everything when John Adams put down his pen after signing the Declaration, turned to those present and told them sink or swim, live or dieSurvive or perish from this day I am with my country.
I'm going to make the same promise to you today so I can stand before you as every leader should stand before you, free of partisan loyalties, free of backroom dealings, a servant. only to my conscience to my Creator and to you each president takes office promising to unite the nation and work with people from the other party on the other side of the aisle none of them ever do it they can't they are already elected to a good side I'm not going to have that problem. I am going to build coalitions on both sides of the aisle and, except for the small minority of public officials who are actually corrupt, I am going to tell you this secret, they too want liberation from the system that has captured them and, ultimately, Isn't that what we all want liberation from?
A system that robs us of our wealth, our health, our hope, our patriotism, our ideals, our freedoms, and ultimately our sense of ourselves as a good and capable people is healing our divided nation. possible we will recover our country God bless you and God bless the United States of America I declare my Independence I declare my Independence I declare my Independence we declare our independence I declare my dependence we declare our independence I declare my Independence we declare our independence I declare my Independence I declare my Independence while we declare our independence I declare my Independence Few men are willing to defy the disapproval of their peers the censure of their colleagues the anger of their society Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or in great battles.
However, intelligence is the essential life quality for those who seek to change the world. I'm Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and I approve this message, ladies and gentlemen, the brilliant, the beautiful, the hilarious Cheryl Hindes, she's fine, hello everyone, thank you for being here today. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited that you're here to help us celebrate another milestone in Bobby's campaign for president, yeah, and I just want to take a moment to say, as we go about our day, let's think about the people in Baltimore. um, you are experiencing your tragedy and we want to keep it in our thoughts and in our hearts and in our prayers today, um, yeah, so you're probably here to hear what Bobby has to say today, it's a very exciting day and don't you You will be disappointed, one of the things.
What I love about Bobby, there are many things that I won't spend the day naming, but one of the things that I really respect about him is that I have watched him and continued to watch him inspire people from all different parties to come together for the greater good of this country. Yes, so when you look around you'll probably see Republicans, Democrats, Independents, all coming together to see what we have in common and how we can work together, and that's what Bobby is about and that's who he is and that's what he is doing and America is listening and is inspired, okay, I think we should do it.
Are you ready to listen to Bobby? Are you interested in hearing from the newly elected vice president? He's okay, well, let's make a lot of noise. I really want to hear how excited you are about this, please ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together in my love for the next president of the United States, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., thank you very much everyone, thank you very much, thank you very much, thank you me too. I want to start off first of all by thanking you all and thanking Oakland and thanking you all for being here today.
I also want to thank the tribal chiefs, the Muon tribe, and the tribal council president for supporting me today. for putting their faith in me and they know the MMA olone tribe oh and they know a lot uh that this fight for indigenous rights has consumed a large part of my life my personal and professional life and that this work is going to continue When we are in the White House , the Malonies are one of the many tribes that were desertified during the 1950s and 1960s and these tribes need to be eliminated and that is something I will do as soon as I get to the White House.
House I I want to say something about Oakland, my father spent a lot of time doing hearings in Oakland on poverty issues for the Poverty Committee in 1967 when he was a United States Senator and then he came back here in 1968 in the presidential campaign and during that presidential campaign made an unscheduled visit to Taylor Memorial Church in Oakland and went there with Willie Brown who, as you know, later became mayor of San Francisco, but at the time he was an assemblyman and came to meet with a lot of local activists. here in Oak he planned a very, very violent turbulent time, he met with the nap and the Black Panther Party and it was a very loud meeting.
The local police chief advised him not to go. He attended with two of his companions, John Glenn, the astronaut. one of his best friends, Raer Johnson, who had been a decathlon champion in 1960 and was one of my father's closest friends, and the meeting was so violent and vitriolic that at one point Raer and John Glennon advised my father for him to leave, people were insulting him. People were threatening him and my dad refused and said this is between me and them. I need to listen to them. I need to hear what they are going to say.
Ne and waited. He stayed through that entire meeting and the next day. of the people who at that meeting signed up to join his campaign and the Black Panther Party provided his security equipment here in Oakland and continued to provide him security later in the campaign during his convoys and there was a lesson that I just wanted to share with you because It's a lesson we all need to learn at this time in our history: we need to start listening to each other even when it's hard, we need to endure anger, we need to sit with each other and listen to each other's feelings and not turn away and not see each other as enemies, but to learn to love ourselves even through that anger and manliness, we need to start becoming Americans again the last time I was in Oakland was when I served on the trial team in the Monsanto cases and we, oh, we tried two of the three cases in this city, we won, we won 289 million in the first one and then in the third one that we tried here, we want, we asked the jury. for a billion dollars and an Oakland jury gave us $2.2 billion and that brought Monsant to the negotiating table, we settled all 40,000 cases, but I lived here for several months during that trial and I really loved the Monsanto case from the city.
For me it was the latest in a lifetime of battles to remove poisons from our food and our farms and restore our soils. That effort has consumed much of my life and I wanted a vice president who shared my passion for health. healthy chemical-free foods for regenerative agriculture for good soils and I found exactly the right person and, among other things, she has in recent years used cutting-edge technology, including artificial intelligence, to calculate the catastrophic health consequences of toxins in our soil, our air, our water and our Food technology has been a lifelong passion for my future vice president.
This is important because I also wanted a vice president who shares my outrage at Big Tech's involvement as partners in the censorship, surveillance, and information warfare our government is currently waging. fighting the American people and that's why I'm bringing in someone with deep inside knowledge of how big tech companies use artificial intelligence to manipulate the public. I want to partner with strong ideas on how to reverse these terrible threats to democracy and our freedoms. I managed to find a technologist at the forefront of AI. She has spent the last decade relying on neural networks, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge science to identify abuses in our government.
She understands that the health of every American is a matter of national security and a risk to national security. Her work has shown time and time again that health drives our economy, that it is the foundation of our mental health, our national happiness, our ability to lead the world in innovation, prosperity and peace. She also wanted someone who was an athlete and could help me. Inspiring Americans to heal back into shape and I'm happy to report that my VP is an Avid surfer who went to school on a softball scholarship. I want here in Oakland. I wanted someone who has been tested in battle and is able to endure. the criticism, the controversy and all the smears, slander and perjury that are hurled at anyone who embarks on a presidential campaign.
I wanted an advocate who has first seen the corruption of our regulatory agencies and who shares my outrage at the way it allows regulated industries to commodify our food, our wildlife and our children. I wanted someone who would honor our nation's traditions as a nation of immigrants but also understand that to be a nation we need secure borders.I wanted a partner who was a talented manager but also possessed the gift of curiosity, an open and inquiring mind, and the confidence to change even his strongest opinions in the face of contrary evidence. I wanted someone with a spiritual dimension, compassion and idealism and, above all, a deep love for the United States of America and I found all of those qualities. on a woman who grew up here in Oakland, the daughter of immigrants who overcame all daunting obstacles and reached the highest levels of the American dream, which is why I am so proud to present to you the next Vice President of the United States, my fellow attorney, a brilliant scientist technologist, fear warrior mom, Nicole Shanahan, oh, I'll tell you a little bit about Nicole before I bring her here.
Let's watch a video. Nicole's personal story began in Oakland. The daughter of impoverished immigrants, she grew up on food stamps and welfare in a city beset by many other unique challenges, all of which she overcame. Her very American journey led her to a career as a patent attorney and as a Silicon Valley technology entrepreneur. and as a Stanford University scholar, like many of us, Nicole assumed that our government was working for our people that our defense and intelligence agencies wanted peace that public health agencies wanted us to be healthy that the USDA supported food healthy farms and family farms that the EPA would support that the FED wanted a prosperous America that the Democratic Party was on the side of the middle class the working poor and small Main Street businesses that scientists were incorruptible and that science was a search for ex an exalted search for the truth and that the president of the United States can always be counted on to defend freedom of speech.
I used to believe those things too. Do you remember those days and she will tell you that she now understands that defense agencies work for the military industry? complex that health agencies work for big pharma at the USDA work for big a and processed food cartels at the EPA are in C Hoots with polluters that scientists can be mercenaries that government officials sometimes act like sensors and that the Federal Reserve works for Wall Street and allows millionaire bankers to pray for Main Street and American workers and that's why Nicole and I left the Democratic Party, our values didn't change, but the Democratic Party got things done that we love remain the same, we love our families. children and our faith we love clean air and clean water and productive soils and good food we love the desert and the majesty of our purple mountains and above all we love our country we want America to live up to its highest ideals we want it to be an exemplary country Nation once again a global leader in opportunities for freedom and a responsible government we want the United States to be a peacemaker a moral authority we want our children to grow up like I did in a country for which they feel love and pride we want We want them to feel safe and have every opportunity for dignity, prosperity and community.
We want them to have confidence in their future. We want them to have the best education. We want America to be friendly to farmers and business owners. We want America to honor its veterans and teachers. we want scientists to stand firm We are for science and for truth and we want our government to defend our right to freedom of expression Nicole and I share all of these values and you know what, despite the artificially orchestrated divisions, almost all Americans share the same values as us and I am grateful. that Nicole has put on her selfish side and has made the momentous and very, very difficult decision to embark with me on this extraordinary crusade to recover our country and the most important thing is that she was looking for a partner who is a young person and Nicole is only 38 years old . years and I wanted that because I want Nicole to be a champion for the growing number of American Millennials and genz who have lost faith in their future and have lost pride in our country.
Many in our generation have stopped believing that the older people who have been running our government for so long, understanding them or representing their interests, that older generation that now dominates Congress, the Supreme Court and the White House is the same generation, the The same people who accumulated $34 trillion in debt and the Millennials, Jenz and their children will bear the burden. It was my baby boom generation that unleashed the chronic disease epidemic that has affected many. America had made America the sickest country in the world. The only answer to this calam. This calamity of today's government officials is tricking us into pretending everything is normal.
It's not really happening Nicole and I share doubts that the corporate-captured Unip party can produce leaders capable of imagining a different version of America, a hopeful version of the future. We both have doubts that the Democratic or Republican Party candidates are capable. technology in the right hands can be America's salvation, it can give us the path out of deadly chaos, out of environmental ruin, and out of the epidemic of chronic diseases, but we both fear that in the wrong hands technology can turn its power against humanity, we don't believe it either. Whether President Trump, Trump or President Biden, understands the promise or danger of technology enough to direct its trajectory towards freedom, healing and prosperity, and now we are witnessing this daunting contest between the two most ancients of history, those two men during their terms as president. they both worked to close our Main Street businesses for a year 3.3 million businesses without due process, without scientific subpoena, without public hearings, without environmental impact statement, they just told us to close them those policies that they both designed transferred $4 trillions of dollars from the middle class class to this new oligarchy of billionaires created 500 new billionaires in 500 days one billionaire per day today together they accumulated a debt greater than all previous presidents combined since George Washington two men with only one term each now not They do it they want us to talk about those things, instead they want us to hate each other to fear the other, but to young Americans they seem like two sides of the same coin, if we vote for either of them again we can expect and we will deserve more of the same. the annihilation of our middle class the further impoverishment of the working poor more chronic diseases more epidemics more environmental destruction more debt more war and fewer constitutional rights I have asked Nicole to use the platform of the vice presidency to speak on behalf of all, not just young people, but all the invisible and voiceless Americans who feel let down by our government as your Vice President Nicole will represent the working poor who feel forgotten and are sinking deeper into debt every day.
She's going to fight for all those Americans who know what it's like to skip meals to pay for them. gas and watch food prices go up and wonder how the hell they're going to get through the supermarket checkout line. I want her to stand up for children who receive poor education and for veterans who feed their families in soup kitchens and for the 1.1 million American children whose parents served in Afghanistan and Iraq and who are silently battling PTSD. and traumatic brain injuries. I want her to represent the mothers who are fighting to protect their children from bad chemicals, bad pharmaceuticals and bad food.
As vice president she will stand between them and Big Pharma, the chemical industry, the processed food industry, the government. . Regulators who are colluding to poison our children for profit and as vice president, she will stand with me against the military industrial complex. and the interventionist niacon and all his forever wars in 1932 Franklin Roosevelt appointed my grandfather Joseph Kennedy to head his new Securities and Exchange Commission my grandfather had been a stock manipulator on Wall Street and FDR wanted a president who understood the stock market inside and as the only person who could similarly reform it, Nicole will take on Silicon Valley, which she knows inside and out, and take on Wall Street, the big banks, Larson's K Street lobbyists, the Tsars regulators, to the unrestrained. the central bank money printers, the crony capitalists and all the other people who have turned our country from a democracy to a corporate kleptocracy, these are the people whose greed fuels our corrupt campaign.
Financial system that is nothing more than a legalized briy system. a system that has put agency capture on steroids and turned our government regulators into puppets of the industries they are supposed to regulate the corrupt fusion of state and corporate power now straddles our nation's capital as a mythical Harpy sucking economic, social and moral vitality. of the nation's power of free citizens gorging themselves on the bleached bones of the American middle class, Nicole will help me free our country from that predatory cabal, our independent run for president will finally overthrow the Democratic and Republican duopoly that holds us had given this ruinous debt, chronic disease, endless wars, blockades, agency capture mandates and the same Trump Biden uni party that captured a proper democracy and handed it over to Black Rock State Street and Vanguard and the other corporate donors Nicole Shanahan It will help me get support. for our Revolution against the unip party government from both ends of the left and right political spectrum now let me tell you what Nicole and I are facing and what we must do to win and how we are going to do it in New York.
The Times published an article this week estimating that the Democratic Party's war chess will ultimately be what currently stands at 1.1 billion and is already the largest political party in history. In a few months it will amount to $3 billion and the Democratic Party is not going to use it. that war chess to amplify President Biden's voice is being used to prevent his opponents from appearing on the ballot and to turn Americans against each other and fill us with fear, by the way, the Republican Party will raise approximately the same amount . Does anyone here think that these big money donors who are giving all that money are acting out of a patriotic impulse?
Do you think they are acting out of a humanitarian impulse? No, of course not, but they, this is an investment and they expect a return on that investment. We expect a very great return from the campaign. The financial system has transformed our government from a model democracy to a corporate kleptocracy, so we are facing a powerful power. This campaign faces the most powerful financial interest in history. We also face a determined campaign. to keep us off the ballot by fair means or foul, Democrats evidently have little faith in their candidates' ability to win the old-fashioned way at the polls, we will overcome these financial and legal challenges, but I want to talk about another obstacle that en Even more important is the obstacle of cynicism, it is the obstacle of fear, it is the deeply ingrained habit of voting for someone for whom you have little passion because it is the lesser of two evils because you are very afraid that the other person will win well, you will not. you do.
Do you want to vote for someone this time and not alone and not just against someone? Don't you want to vote for a candidate and a country you can be proud of? I know you want it because 70% of Americans say they don't want to have to choose between President Trump and President Biden, they don't want to choose between the lesser of two evils again, they especially don't want to choose between the two men who brought us the $34 trillion debt, endless wars, censorship, corrupt fusion of state and corporate power Republicans and Democrats have taken turns in office for 30 years and all of these problems have gotten worse, which is why those same polls show that my approval ratings are well above those of President Trump and President Biden, now both. the democrats and republicans are looking at the poll results and they are coming up with ways to keep me off the ballot, they don't want to give you the option, you know, when I was a kid, the democrat party was fighting, their main fight was to make I'm sure that all Americans had the right to vote and none of us were disenfranchised, but today's Democratic Party is doing the opposite: it is working todisenfranchise any American who doesn't and doesn't believe they will vote again, vote for their agenda, the main one.
The technique is to call me a saboteur and instill fear in Americans that voting for me will get another scary candidate elected. Our campaign is a spoiler. I agree that he is a spoiler for President Biden and for President Trump. He's a saboteur for the war machine he's a saboteur for Wall Street and Big Tech and Big Telecom and Big Pharma and the corporate media itself and all of Poland's corrupt politicians and corporations, that's why they're trying to keep me out of it. the polls and scare them. millions of Americans aren't going to vote at all if they give you no choice, they're just walking away from American democracy, well Nicole and I are going to give them those millions. another option the democrats and the republicans are trying to divide America they tell us to hate each other distrust each other accuse each other of treason warn us against these Apo in apocalyptic terms that democracy itself is doomed if the other side wins they turn families against each other they put neighbors against each other and friends against each other they are trying to divide America and Nicole and I will unite and that is our path to victory, this is how we are going to win, this is how We are going to forge an Unstoppable Coalition of homeless Democrats and Republicans are ready to look at the universal values that unite us all and that and that and that every American conscience wants the same way that Nicole wants it and I want it all those things that I described our loving our children, good food, good soil, moral authority throughout the world, the end of the state of war, an incorruptible government, all those things we all want if we can only persuade enough Americans to vote for hope and not for fear of having to face each other. the White House in September November now we have all had the benefit of seeing what President Trump and President Biden can do for our country do any of you want more of the same if you want more of the same you should vote out of fear if you want genuine change and you need to take a chance and join team Kennedy and join the new American Revolution.
What that means is voting from your conscience, voting from the heart, voting with idealism, voting with optimism for this country, rejecting Flo above all. from Fear, you know, in 1776 there was a generation of Americans who believed in democracy and in something that didn't exist anywhere in the world, something that was so improbable, so implausible, so impossible, and most people thought that it was a joke and yet they took a risk not a small risk not the small risk you are taking today when passing by a voting booth they risked their lives and many lost them they risked their property they risked their reputations and gave us the democracy we have today is the model of democracy for the entire world, so they acted out of fear and if you vote out of fear in this election you are dishonoring that generation of Americans and the thousands and hundreds of thousands of Americans who gave their lives in the Civil War and the World War II and World War I and all the other times people risked their lives to defend our country, if Nicole and I can get Americans to refuse to vote for fear of being in the White Party.
House in November Nicole and I are running to help heal the symptoms of a sick America to heal our divisions to heal our economy to heal our mental health and our spiritual and physical health We can't do it alone, we need you and now I have a governing partner who will fight for you and your family until the last corporate bribery of our government, the last toxin is removed from our water and our soil until the last American child can live a healthy life and pursue their own life. happiness in the land of the free until the last censor of our government disappears.
I am confident that there is no American more qualified than Nicole Shanahan to fill this role, so I am proud to introduce to all of you the next V Vice President of the United States of America Nicole Shanan thank you all so much she is a visionary and relentless leader in driving and supporting important projects to improve our lives great perseverance great leadership her success is unparalleled she is an incredibly inspiring woman who touches the hearts and minds of everyone I have seen her meet, okay, speak with oh great cross, I What young people face today is unprecedented and it will take a new generation of leadership who deeply understands those threats because they themselves are technologists to address the problems. in hand, it will take leadership that has dedicated their life to technology, it will take leadership that understands what questions to ask, how to ask them, and what implementing a plan looks like.
This is not the America of the 1950s, this is America. of 2024 and in the United States there will be a need for communities that come to the White House and that have never been in the White House and these will be technological communities, they will be Gen Z communities, they will be millennial communities that really believe that working together will take us to a A healthier America with solutions that really work. I was born in Roseville, California, near Sacramento, then my mom and dad decided to move back to Oakland, to the house my dad grew up in, you learn from a young man. my age growing up in Oakland that we are all equal and we all have the opportunity to do something great and the color of your skin just gives you a different and cool cultural perspective and you know I'm half Chinese half Caucasian, but for the people around me I was Nicole, my mother immigrated to the United States in 1983 from Guang Joo China, my father in particular struggled with substance abuse, various mental health issues, we relied on government assistance for a good portion of my childhood each time. that my father lost a job.
There was plenty of money to cover basic expenses like food and we would get food stamps and go to the local supermarket with his mom, my brother and I and at the checkout. I remember she asked my brother and me to go wait. The magazines, when I had to pay, it was difficult, it was very difficult. Those programs um saved my family. They gave me a chance. I went to the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. I graduated in 2007 and started working on medical device patents as pargal. I was always asked to be kind of the resident nerd for the law firm I was in charge of making sure the software always worked well and represented all client data correctly and I loved it.
I was at Santa Clara Law School, which is really in the heart of Silicon Valley and trains some of the best intellectual property law professionals in the country in 2014. I joined Stanford Law and Computer Science to become a Codex member at my Center at Stanford Codex, one of our central themes is how building humanistic programming in AI unregulated AI can be disastrous for us, we are already seeing the first signs of it and you know, the first day of During the presidency Bobby Kennedy as vice president, I will mobilize the best legal ethicists on the planet and they will have knowledge of computer ethics, so after my two years at Stanford, I opened my company CL access IP and then founded a foundation.
Human reproductive health is in decline globally and at a rate that is actually causing alarm in certain countries right now. Women's health is a direct indication of environmental health. Say I was born a healthy girl in November 2018, that was the happiest day of my life from birth to 7 months. She smiled, she laughed, she paid attention, she hugged, you know, she held on to things. She had a big appetite at around 10 months. She had changed dramatically, she wasn't participating as much and her energy didn't seem as high and her muscle mass seemed weak. You'd know? Sit her down so she feels alone and she wouldn't be able to hold herself up when before she could not speak she didn't point she seemed like she was in her own world and the evaluator clearly identified the symptoms associated with autism spectrum disorder and it was then and there in 2020 that my life changed forever chronic disease in children is due to environmental disruptors that cause inflammatory symptoms that then reduce the child's ability to heal.
I have learned that the main environmental health exposures fall into three categories. There is endocrine disruption caused by various chemical chemicals in our consumer products. and preservatives in our foods, the second category of environmental exposures are electrochemical in nature, electrical interference comes in the form of our wireless technologies, our devices, our cell phones and we currently have no regulatory body in the United States that polices this, the third category. of environmental exposures really are medications that we depend on for our healthcare system, and ironically, many of these medications are prescribed to help manage symptoms related to exposures caused by categories 1 and 2.
It's a band-aid that actually poses new risks. My life is in data and technology and I know there is a solution here for this problem. Today we have the tools to get there and if we are open to this conversation, we are on the path to Healing America and that is a simple conclusion I believe. Anyone in America can do once they have the information, we owe it to the American family to remove these toxins from our food and our water, our medicines. This campaign is much more than politics. This campaign is about what is sacred. and what is sacred is our health and that of our families on this earth, this beautiful earth that deserves much more attention and care than we have given it.
I am making this decision as an independent now because I am finding it increasingly difficult to find leadership in the White House that represents the issues closest to my heart and in order for us to get there, I think we all need to rethink what happened to the Democratic National Committee. and the Republican National Committee. In fact, we need a chance. We long for an opportunity. To see how we can serve in the best interest of the American public outside of a system that has not worked, we deserve a real election of optimism and that is what Bobby Kennedy gives us a chance, ladies and gentlemen, the next vice president of the United States .
Nicole Shanahan states oh oh oh hello everyone and thank you so much for being here today. It's so good to be here in Oakland. This city will always have a special place in my heart. They know I grew up just a few miles from this very place. My mother, who is standing there with her phone raised, immigrated here from Guang Joo China and my late father was an Irish and German American. I want to tell you a little about my childhood so that you can understand the source of my politics and my convictions. My mother's first job when she came to the United States in 1983 was as a caregiver for an elderly woman here in Lake Merritt.
When I was born, she worked as a secretary in a dental office. My father loved my brother and me very much, but he was very concerned about substance abuse and struggled to keep a job without observing my father and his struggles. I learned not to judge. He was doing the best he could. I think of him when I see the statistics of the millions of Americans who are addicts. depressed or suffering this is one of the epidemics of our time affecting almost every American family I wish my experience was unusual but it is not it has become part of my determination to do something for our country every time my father lost his work, our family simply could not cover the expenses, food, gasoline, clothing maintenance, it adds up to more than what you have in the situation.
I know many Americans know exactly what it's like to be one misfortune away from disaster. I don't think we would have made it. Without food stamps and government assistance, my mother worked hard, but it would not have been possible to stay together without that help, as you probably know, I became very rich later in life, but my roots in Oakland taught me many things that I have learned. I never forgot that the purpose of wealth is to help those in need, that's what it's for and I want to bring it back. I want to bring that back to politics too, that's the purpose of privilege.
I went to St Mary's High School just a few miles away. from here in my third year we have some Santa Maria Panthers here um in my third year I had another formative experience um and that prepared me for this life of political consciousness. I applied for a program to live with the Ames family in El Salvador in prayer. With these families and helping them rebuild after the Civil War there I learned what war really is. I learned how it destroys lives, brutalizes children, inflicts unspeakable horror on the innocent, and I also learned the resilience of the human spirit and its infinite capacity. healing, forgiving and restoring El Salvador is where I came to understand war but, more importantly, it is where I also came tounderstanding peace, that's what inspired me to my first political action in high school at the beginning of the Iraq war.
I became an anti-war activist yeah, if I'm honest, I didn't really know how to do it. I printed out pamphlets, went out and we went to our local radio station. But I knew in my bones that violence breeds. more violence I had seen what that does to society and I did not want my country, the country that I love so much, to be doing that in the world, so these are two of my political convictions that I hold today to serve peace and help those. in poverty, so you can understand why I gravitated toward the Democratic party because it was supposed to be the party of peace, the party of compassion.
Many Democrats still believe in those ideals, but unfortunately, as an institution, it has lost its way, there is only one anti-war candidate today and you will not find him in the Democratic Party or the Republican Party, he is an independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr, yes, and it is his commitment to the peace and well-being of working people in America that attracts me as a compassionate person to his candidacy, yes, just a year ago, I didn't really think much about Bobby Kennedy because I didn't know much about him, all I had was a mainstream media narrative that effectively told me horrible, derogatory things, but Then a friend who is here today pulled me aside and said Nicole, please do me a favor, just listen to an interview with Bobby Kennedy, just one, so I did it, I did it and then I heard another and then another and I recognized that the person I was seeing in these interviews was the exact opposite of the media smear of his character.
I saw a person with intelligence, compassion and reason. I saw a fellow lawyer who was committed to finding the truth and fighting for the environment and for people. I discovered a person who speaks out on issues that, while critically important to human health and well-being, are consistently ignored by our government, and for the first time in a long time I felt hope that our democracy would get there again. It's possible. One of those topics is also one of my passions and a focus of my philanthropic work. Chronic disease. I came into it through my own journey to reproductive health, followed by a steep learning curve to care for my daughter, who has an autism diagnosis on that journey.
I discovered that women's fitness is in precipitous decline around the world. We are facing a reproductive health crisis that is embedded in a broader chronic disease epidemic because it has been so personal for me and my daughter. I delved into the research and consulted. Some of the best scientists and doctors let me tell you what I found: there are three main causes: one is toxic substances in our environment, such as endocrine-disrupting chemicals in our food, water and soil, such as waste pesticides, industrial contaminants, microplastics, pfas in food. additives and the eternal chemicals that have contaminated NE almost all human cells, yes, and it makes you angry to hear this, it makes me angry to say it because we shouldn't be here now.
Secondly, electromagnetic pollution, you don't hear politicians talk much about it. Not about that either, but it's something we need to consider, as Bobby says we need to investigate every possible cause of the chronic disease epidemic that is devouring our nation from within. Thirdly, I am sorry to say that our medicines, pharmaceutical medicine, have their place. but no safety study can evaluate the cumulative impact of one prescription superimposed on another prescription and one injection superimposed on another injection superimposed on another injection over the course of childhood, we simply do not do that study at this time and we should.
We can and will. Conditions like autism used to be 1 in 10,000 now here in the state of California it is 1 in 22 one in 22 children affected allergies obesity anxiety depression our children are not well our people are not well and our country is not We will be well for a long time longer if we do not heed this desperate call for attention. I have spoken with our government agencies. Believe me. I have tried it. I have spoken with senators. I have spoken with governors. Everyone knows something is wrong, but. None of them take any action. I have only met one candidate for president who takes the chronic disease epidemic seriously.
This is Robert Fky Junior and I will be his ally to make our nation healthy again. Yes, it is not about a new pill or quote finding the cure we know that the cure is cleaning up our environment and providing basic public goods which are the fundamental conditions for health and healing it is about a change in our priorities it is about compassion chronic illness addiction ression poverty this is where Americans are suffering the most it's time politicians listened so here's how Kennedy Shanahan's candidacy will end the chronic illness epidemic as Bobby focuses in ending corporate capture of our regulatory agencies.
I'm going to bring together the best technologists and scientists. in the world and we will use the latest in AI and computing we will examine the medical records databases of our nation and those other nations that are also in the quest to solve chronic diseases we will find the answers we will find the answers to our most pressing health concerns in It's a matter of weeks, not decades, we can do it if we have access to those databases, it's time to get out of the Dark Ages of medicine, we can solve the mysteries guarded by corporate influence, we can drop the band-aid solutions and we can end with this chronic disease. epidemic once and for all I believe it, you know, my feeling is that most American moms and dads already know the truth of the matter and the duty of care owed to the family is long overdue.
American, we can find the answers conclusively. You know, I have a tech background, so I tend to think in terms of data in my tech days. Developed AI-powered software to automate affordable legal services. I assume the CDC and research institutions have the data we need and we can apply the technology. By discovering environmental factors we can discover what makes us sick we just have to ask the right questions do the right research and apply the right tools we have to rid science of the corporate bias that pollutes it today and then we turn this upside down so that In fact, the The first topic to which I applied my technology experience was criminal justice.
It was across the bay in San Francisco, where the District Attorney's Office needed help examining thousands of police records believed to contain evidence of Ral bias, wrongful arrests, and patterns of bias that I gathered. a team of computer scientists to develop a computational method to collate these records and design a method of analysis, but what I really learned through this was the sorry state of criminal justice in our country, it is not just about surveillance, it is it's about the prison pipeline school it's about a broken infrastructure that works poorly it's about recid M that we haven't taken the right approach on how to make our systems a system of rehabilitation and not punishment these questions don't have easy answers I know this is difficult this is very difficult but they are the right questions to ask and there is only one candidate who asks them and that is Bobby Kennedy and I am going to mention an issue closer to my heart that has to do with the climate my Interest in health and the solution to climate problems has led me to the field of agriculture.
I realize that the health of a nation comes down to its soil and the people who work it. Yes, healthy soil is the foundation of healthy food, it is the foundation of a healthy ecosystem, and it is our answer to the climate. The crisis is the basis of a healthy economy, but which politician other than Bobby Kennedy have you heard about the floor? None. I have produced two films on the subject. Common ground is the last one I have. We have something in common. Gap Ground and Kiss. The people here, thank you all for coming today.
I have spoken to members of Congress and senators, but all I have received are vague promises that never amount to real change. Both Republicans and Democrats have fallen under the sway of big agrichemical companies and food conglomerates may invoke the ideal of the family farm, but they have betrayed it time and time again, so I come into my own. I know I am not political so far, but I come within myself to do this work and highlight this need. because guess what I've met, some of the most innovative American farmers, their methods rebuild the soil, sequester carbon, recharge the aquifers and revitalize the economy, and you know, we don't have to force anyone to do anything or imitate them, everything what do we have to do. is to change our regulation and subsidy system to support those methods, we can no longer support extractive corporate agriculture.
I hope to have high hopes for this. I hope everyone understands now what brought me to politics, right? and what at this moment. I'm leaving the Democratic Party and first I want to say two things about it. Although I left the party, I think I take with me the best ideals and impulses. The Democratic Party is supposed to be the party of compassion that it is. It's supposed to be the party of diplomacy and science, it's supposed to be the party of civil liberties and free speech, and most importantly, the party of the middle class and the American dream, even though I know a lot of Democrats. who respect those values, I want to point out and I have been in contact with many people in the Democratic Party.
I think they have lost their way in their leadership. I worry about the party's overwhelming interest in elitism, celebrity and winning at all costs, and I worry that they will do it even if it means turning a blind eye to issues that everyone knows are true. I know because I've been in those circles for the last eight years and I've gotten more and more tired of it, it wasn't until I met Bobby and the people who support him that I felt any hope in the outcome of this election by reexamining my assumptions. of the Democratic Party.
I've seen conservative voters with new eyes too. I have met farmers. I have met hunters who are some of the staunchest conservationists. I have met mothers who understand ecosystems better than most. I have met mothers who protect their children and seek their health in every possible way, and yet the Republican Party, like the Democrat Party, is letting them down because the party's actions are deviating from the values that they truly believe. support individual freedom, in fact, the very failure of both parties to do their job to protect their founding values has contributed to the decline of this country in my lifetime, perhaps that is why I see so many Republicans disillusioned with their party, just as I am disillusioned with mine if you are one of the disillusioned Republicans.
I invite you to join me, a disillusioned Democrat, in this movement to unify and heal America. This independent movement comes at a time of extreme division in the United States that threatens to tear this country apart. Yes, let's fix it, it's time. for a reign, it's time, as Bobby Kennedy says, to focus on our unifying values rather than our divisions, so if anyone is listening and has never considered an independent run, I want to extend the same invitation my friend extended to me last year. past, please. Hear Bobby Kennedy in his own words. Take a look at his vision for America.
It is a vision that I also share as I spend the next seven months of my life including it on each and every ballot we are going to cast in this country. we are going to do it the vision we share is a vision of national healing it is an America that leads the world no longer through force of arms but through the power of example it is an America that achieves peace through diplomacy is a United States, which had become the sickest industrialized country on the planet and turned it around, let's turn it around, it is a United States where everyone who works hard can afford a decent life, it is a United States A United States where people of all races are treated fairly and equally under the law is an America whose freedoms are the envy of the world is an America with honest and transparent government institutions can you imagine a country whose government doesn't lie to you? ?
People talk about my age. It's true. will be the youngest vice president in American history, let me tell you that why so many of us young people have walked away from politics is because we lost hope that change would ever come from within the system, after all , which party wins with Promises of Hope and changing or draining the swamp things continue as usual, slowly diminishing with each passing year, so that is the reason, but the other reason is that we can no longerWe can't stand falsehood, we can't stand lies, we can't stand inauthenticity. and that's why Bobby Kennedy leads every poll among young people, we hear our voice in his, so I come to you today as a former Democrat.
I come to you as a woman who is not yet 40. I come to you as someone who has experienced an illness. and health, poverty and wealth and finally I come to you as a mother, you know that most of the philanthropists that I work with are women, other mothers and initially it was a mother who is here today who reached out to inspire support for this campaign. I never thought. In a million years I would be here running for vice president, no, no, but what I am doing is joining the millions of mothers who support this candidacy, they are Republicans, Democrats and independents, they read the labels in the supermarkets. and They order how to keep their children healthy they see the anguish of many of them when their children suffer from chronic illnesses they cry silently as their teenagers face depression, anxiety and addiction they do everything they can to stay together and they do it because they are going crazy strong if you are my heroes these moms are my heroes they are the moms trying to make a normal life for their children in a world that has gone crazy as a mother who knows firsthand the challenges of raising a child with special needs I promise to do this world a little less crazy.
I will work with Bobby Kennedy to make America once again a country of peace, a country of compassion, a prosperous and free country, and this will not happen overnight, but I have seen the miracles that the human Spirit can achieve. I have seen his resilience and, most importantly, I have seen his ability to heal and what is possible for humans is also possible for our nation, so join me and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in healing. from America we have this we are going to do this
