You'll notice some very similar looking animations for enemies during combat and jumping. taking cover and aiming down sights also feels very familiar, but they also seem to completely reuse some of the weapon models, changing the look slightly, but mechanically they feel more or less the same. I mean, one of the weapons in this game is an M14 rifle, which is a weapon that was never seen even once in the movie, but it shows up a lot here because I don't know, I guess reusing it from World of War or Black Ops was easier than making a weapon from scratch.
This is also a pretty bad PC port to begin with. locked at 30 frames per second, so you'll need to use a trainer to fix it, but even then it looks like some of the animations are still limited to 30 frames per second, meaning everything will still look choppy during gameplay. There are many minor changes. Control issues that also pissed me off a little, like you can't jump over cover while you're in cover, you first have to move away from the wall for a second and then wait for the message to appear on the screen letting you know you can jump.
The weapon damage scaling is also horrible and it seems like very little effort has been put into balancing this. What I mean by this is that sometimes you take damage so quickly from some weapons that you can literally die in less than a second and There were so many times where I died from something I couldn't even see behind, calling it Quantum of Solace is also a bit of a misnomer, it has 15 missions in total, but 10 of them are Casino Royale scenes and they are just the Quantum of Solace scenes and these, I think are also the shortest missions.
I guess Quantum was available at the time and it made more sense to call it that and cash in on the popularity, besides all that it's just a bad looking game, there's a level on a train that tries to simulate both wind and rain, but instead it looks very blurry and sometimes is completely blurry, most of the cutscenes are these really boring informational screens where all the information is given through audio recordings. and minimal visuals, I mean it's very vague sir, what is recreated from the scenes looks sloppy and unfinished, the character models are often barely recognizable as the characters they are supposed to represent and honestly hardly you would know it was the real actors doing the voices sometimes, each boss fight is a QuickTime event where you have to drag your crosshair to a preset location and click on it within a very short time limit, but they are very easy and lack emotion.
The level where they recreate that Casino Royale scene where Bon gets poisoned at the poker table is one of the worst things I've ever experienced in a video game, if you ever want to play something to induce vomiting just play this mission I hope. our little game doesn't give you sp and then in the Venice level it does that thing I absolutely despise in video games where it shakes the whole damn screen to simulate explosions which also makes me want to take a bath. I don't want to. It sounds like negative Nelly and I guess a constellation is that it's a short game, most levels can be finished in 10 or 15 minutes and the whole thing probably only lasts 3 or 4 hours.
There are some interesting sections, I think I think the shootout in The Chase in Italy was kind of fun. I think the few split screen moments are also pretty interesting because it shows that someone would have had to put in a bit of effort to make them and optimize them like NightFire. There are also two different versions of this game with the main difference this time between the PlayStation 3, Xbox and PC version and then the PlayStation 2 version. Now I know I said I wasn't going to review the non-FPS game, but look , I made an exception with this. one just because of how horrible it is.

How this PlayStation 2 version is a completely different game to begin with, it's just a third person shooter and also has its own unique levels with only 11 missions in total this time, seven of them are quantum solar scenes and the other four They are from Casina Royale. You know, you don't think this is a very good plan, do you? The Casino Royale scenes are also much more accurate to the movie, even down to the fist fight with the bomb maker on top of the crane, which is almost shot for shot than not.
But that doesn't mean it's good and it doesn't. I can decide which of these versions I don't like more. I think I hate this one more though simply because it has some downright broken quick time events, my main problem with this one is just the controls which are absolutely horrendous, this is a cover based third person shooter but it's very unsatisfyingplay it because, for some reason, they've given it this almost tactical, semi-realistic recoil and weapon spread, meaning you have to stand still and aim to the sides. Actually, hitting anything is fine in any other game, but goes against the grain when you play as James Bond.
I mean, this guy is supposed to be a highly trained operator who could probably perform a vasectomy on a home stream. with his W to PPK, so general erratic gun firing just doesn't work with this type of game, combined with a saucer-sized scope and enemies that spend 99% of their time hiding, the default control scheme as well it is. one that feels like it was designed by a lunatic. I mean, look, we had dozens of third-person shooters at this point and still someone thought that targeting R3 of all things was a good idea, it's like the whole thing was programmed by an alien. all combined with these trial and error stealth sections where you have to complete a series of tasks in a very specific way or else you get detected, this all makes for a bad game and honestly my day. it was ruined after playing the next ruined game.
I have another attempt to cash in on the popularity of the golden eye name with golden ey reloaded developed once again by eurom and originally released for Nintendo Wii in 2010, but later released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with this reloaded edition. however, this actually has a proper claim using that golden title because unlike rogue agent, this follows the plot of the original movie, not to mention I guess it's also some sort of remake of the 64 game, it's also just a more modern interpretation of the story and replaces Bon's version of pce fren with Daniel Craigs, who again even voices the character, now he gets a lot of hate, which is understandable, but honestly, it's not that bad, especially after warm up after Quantas Solus in the initial level.
In the dam it's actually a bit rough, you see some environments that look very familiar and these new rain effects look gorgeous too, giving the level a much more atmospheric feel. There's even a really cool version of the golden eye theme sung by one of the Pussycat Dolls. Which isn't terrible. I know I'm as surprised as you are now. I've got you a golden award. It's just kind of like what would have happened if Michael Bay directed Golden Ey and 5 minutes into this first level James and Alec, the so-called secret agents, were suddenly driving a truck through the dam. during this so-called stealth mission. firing machine guns and murdering everyone in sight, so again, like quantum soles, this thing is basically called a link, even to the point of being powered again by what is clearly a modified version of the Infinity Ward engine they call X engine, but look, that's not the name.
You're not fooling anyone, I mean, you have things like breaking into rooms in slow motion, even down to the weapons you can pick up, showing what kind of accessories they have. Stealth again sucks, you're using silenced weapons that aren't silenced. It's not even silent, but like before, you're never really punished for being detected, you just get that extra guard spawn. Now I don't have too many problems with the gameplay here, other than what kind of P derivative it is, but I do. I have a problem with the way some of these characters have been portrayed, although mostly Zenya, who really was one of the most memorable female villains I would say in the entire series, if not just the movies in general, is not bad for a fake family.
Jansen just created that character. so memorable even to Bond villains, which is really saying a lot now in this version, she doesn't have any of those traits, she's just a generic looking Russian girl and the only memorable thing she does is this horrible looking outfit that looks like a the fur coat fought with some food coloring, the boss fight against her like all the boss fights in this is just a boring QuickTime event where there isn't even any sense of weight or impact to your punches or the from her, same with zukovsky changing from Robbie c train to whoever he is, now he's just some nervous looking guy with tattoos all over his arm and instead of Bon hurting him in the past by shooting him in the leg, now has left a giant scar on his face, it seems This time it's not such a professional courtesy, call it professional courtesy compared to just having him mutilated.

Moving through these underground tunnels with an AA 12 and night vision goggles on and all this made me feel like John Wick took out these guys as they popped up around corners, even the jungle level is cool sneaking through the bushes like If you were. play Far Cry and reprogram turrets to shoot bad guys, but it's actually the silliest kind of basic shooting you'd expect and lacks all the creativity and challenge of the original game's level design - I mean, the most complicated thing that You'll have to do is use your smartphone to take photos or something, but often you can't miss these prompts anyway.
It also reintroduces one of the worst tropes in video games where it has those sequences where you're trying. to escape from somewhere while everything explodes around you and the screen shakes like it's having a fucking attack. Well you have to cross the Cradle to reach Alec through this open area with all these hallways, most of which collapse when you try to cross them, this is all while literally dozens of enemy soldiers shoot at you from a distance and then it's complete with a QuickTime event against Alec followed by the final fight where he literally survives dozens of bullets, but I guess that's okay because he's wearing a bulletproof vest, so yeah of course he doesn't get killed by taking 150 shots to the head, that was sarcasm , by the way, although I think this is definitely better than Quantum. from Solace and I also have fun memories of seeing El Pridor rampaging through multiplayer as well as pieces.
I almost lost control with sadness, although I really believe that the worst has been safely left for last and let's get this over with, yes, that brings us. Her Majesty's Secret Service is licensed to kill din the day and moon rer with skyall released as DLC at the time of the game's release, not bad to start with, I have to say it's also a little strange some of the decisions that took to recreate the scenes. Look wrong, don't get me wrong, Goldfinger is a classic, that side of Jill's golden corpse in bed is one of Siri's most iconic images, same with Bon tied to that laser table about to have his balls cut off for Half, no, sir. I also think Her Majesty's Secret Service is a criminally underrated Bond film and I love that it's getting more attention here, but then you have License to Kill, Die Another Day.
Moon Rer was also a decent movie. but it is not one of Roger Moore's best either. I think that's just for Eyes Only. What was it I said about the last game? What Bond of Duty or Call of Bond was basically like. Well, yes, this one takes it even further. just directly copying the mechanics for btim to start, as I said before the pause menu again has the exact same layout as the ones in Call of Duty, but more than that7 Legends has an XP and upgrade system that simply uses mechanics and perks by Call In Duty multiplayer modes, for example, you can upgrade all your weapons to give them the same Red Dot and ACOG look along with upgrades like rapid fire and silencers that don't cut it.
There are also the same upgrades for players, such as a faster reload time that is literally Call of Duty-lite as well as taking less damage from explosions again, which is basically just the benefit of the flat jacket. It also has a very similar style of gunplay to Call of Duty right down to the same hit markers. I mean, it's like they don't even do it. Don't bother passing this off as something new, the first mission is a bit misleading too, it introduces you to all these features that your devices have, like how you can scan the area for toxins or fingerprints, you can use your watch to get into safes or causing electrical equipment to malfunction, but right after that you have like four or five levels of mindless, mindless shooting where you'll probably forget everything he taught you.
I mean, the level right after all this sneaking around has you in that big shootout. against the Goldfinger soldiers at Fort Knox, where you will kill literally hundreds of them. James Rush, followed by a skiing sequence based on the chase scene from Her Majesty's Secret Service with controls that make me think whoever designed this level has never skied in his life. After that, another level where you are raiding the Blow Fields mountain base, where you will again be responsible for the genocide of countless henchmen, there is a hand-to-hand combat system where you face a single opponent at a time, which which is like a really dumb version. from Super Punch Out and you have tohitting their weak spot with a button that's been designed very clearly with a controller in mind and again, just like in Quantum of Solace, every boss fight uses this mechanic, every single one of them likes it.
Some of the other games you can also play it in what is called 007 Classic Mode, which removes health regeneration and restores health and armor placement, although this seems like an afterthought because there are very few of these pickups in each level, There is a pair. vehicle sections too with insultingly bad controls and some of the funniest vehicle physics I've seen from big platformers in road racing somehow those old driving levels on PlayStation 2 and GameCube are more fun than this overall, It's really nothing more than a constant swing on a Miss, what did I like about this thing? um um I don't know I guess I like seeing Richard Keel come back as Jaws again I know he's supposed to be a bad guy, but there's something so lovable and memorable about the character that I couldn't hate for him and I guess I like seeing to Pam, one of the most underrated Bond girls, getting a little more love here on a positive note.
I guess she has a more developed stealth system, so this time the enemy leaves. to detect you gradually if you are in line of sight of him compared to instantly like it was in Golden. If it makes any sense to talk about the new Bond game in the works by IO Interactive considering there isn't much information about it at the moment, but at least sure it's in the hands of the right people, I don't think we'll do it.
