I've done it too. Just for the record, I missed some and I chose three to do for today's video that I think will be a lot of fun and I'm so excited for this first one because I chose this iconic look from MakeupByRiquelle. Oh my gosh, look how pretty it is. It's just a warm-toned brown smoky eye, but she added this beautiful pop of yellow in the inner corner. Riquelle is one of my all-time favorite artists to follow right now. She is literally SIXTEEN years old and has been doing so many amazing looks using the palette like, OMG, that blending job is crazy!
I invited her to my launch party and she was incredibly sweet and very talented! She reminds me a lot of me from a few years ago and I think she will go very far in this industry. So please check it out and show your sister the support and love as always. I thought this look would be perfect to do first. Today's brand video because a lot of people have been asking me for a glamorous look. Which I totally understand, obviously I've been focusing a lot on rainbow colors because that's the goal of the palette. But I put in a lot of beautiful neutral tones. and warm-toned shades are also perfect for anyone who isn't as comfortable wearing those crazy colors on their lids and just wants something a little more wearable on a daily basis.
This look will be perfect because it is a typical glam look but still adds a pop of color for those of you who just want to dip your toes in but aren't comfortable going all the way. I'll start by taking my M173 brush and dipping it into my pot of MAC paint in the shade 'painterly' and using it to prime my lids. So opening up the palette, we're going to focus primarily on the middle row of larger boats right here. Obviously, we're going to add a pop of color later, but I formulated all of these perfect shades to create any warm smoky eye tone and that's exactly what we're going to do today.
First I'm going to start by taking an M456 brush and dipping it into the shadow and 'No Beans', this is the warm shade of brown in the palette and I'm just going to place the shadow directly on my lid. Then I'll take another M456 brush and dip it in '10% off' and I'll just place this shade right on top of the 'No Beans' color and blend it slightly upwards, just tapping that shade in there first and then using small light circular motions just to blend that brown border by moving up the line. Then I'll take an M433 brush and dip it into the shade 'Code James' right next to it and the exact same thing.
I'm going to use this color to go over that edge and start blending a little bit further up just using light circular motions and then Finally, with an M441, I'm going to dip into the shade 'Tune' and then also a little bit of '518' and I'll use it to blend that final edge. Moving on to the lower lash line, I'm going to take the same M456 and the shade 'No Beans' and just pop it in there, bringing it along the lower lash line and also making sure to connect it with That Outer V on the lash line.
I also can't stand the upper lashes on smoky eyes, when the lower and upper lash lines are not connected. I feel like it looks very, very messy, so just put that color there. Next, I'll use the exact same color order. I'm going to take '10% off' and merge that border and merge this right below 'No Beans' and then 'Code'. James' and finally '518' and 'Tune'. To highlight the brow bone, I'll take a little bit of 'Face' on just a little flat brush and give it a quick spritz of the prep and setting setting spray and just put that on there, I'll take a little bit of '518' on that same M441 brush and I'll go over it because that was a bit much, the brown smoky is literally already complete using the entire middle row of the palette!
Like I told you, I chose these colors for a reason, it's so easy to create the most beautiful warm chocolate eye look ever. I'm obsessed with how it turned out. Now you could totally stop here BUT I want to add just a little bit of color guys it's a lot of fun to do so I'm trying to decide because in Riquelle's original photo she had a hint of yellow in the inside corner that was more how impressive like me. obsessed with it! But sister Kylie recently posted a photo in which she had a pink pop in the inside corner and it was beyond stunning.
I feel like interior corner colors are becoming a big trend right now, so I think I'll change things up a bit because I've been painting a lot of yellow lately. I want to do a touch of pink. So to do my touch of color, I'm going to grab an M431. This is a small pencil style brush, it comes in the brush set and dips into the glitter. neon pink shade called 'Skip'. Now I want to give you fair warning, this pink shade is incredibly pigmented and if you have sensitive skin it may or may not cause blemishes.
So be careful, I'm just going to highlight this shade. right here, I just put it right in the inner corner and then use the excess that's left on the brush to lightly blend it into the kind of transitional shades that we had around the eye that I'm going to take next. an M562 and a bit more 'Skip', but do you really remove the excess and use this to make it fluffy and fluffy? That? This is a fluffy brush I'm afraid of! just blend the edges and I'll dip in some 'Pinkity Drinkity' to help me blend this out as well.
Next, to get that hint of shimmer, I'm going to dip into the shade 'Literally' using the same small brush. I love this color, it's one of my favorites in the palette and I'm going to give it a good spritz of Morphe setting and priming spray and just tap it right in the center to make that shadow really pop. I'm just going to take a little bit of liquid glitter and the little pencil brush and stipple it right on top. And last but not least, I'm going to line my waterline using Makeup Forever's 'aqua XL' pencil. in the shade 'Pink' You can definitely skip this step if you don't feel comfortable putting a pink color on your waterline.
I know some people may think that would look sick. You can definitely do a nude or black instead if you want a more smoky look, but I personally really like it when the pop of color continues, I feel like it really brings the whole eye look together. Alright, officially one eye is complete. I'm going to go ahead and do the other one. one off camera quickly and I'll be right back with the finished look. I just finished the other brown smokey eye and decided that pink looks very, very beautiful, but in honor of Riquelle's original photo I want to add a touch of yellow. in the inside corner just because the look was literally too pretty not to recreate and also to show you that you can do this with literally any other color.
I mean, a purple would be so stunning with this, a blue, a green like literally. Anything would look so pretty with this! So I'm just going to do the touch of yellow. I'll just take a little bit of 'Bee' on a brush. Exactly the same technique as the pink, simply placing the tone right there. Oh my gosh, so pigmented! like the pink side, I'll take a fluffy brush and dip it a little bit into the same shade 'Bee' and use that to lightly buff the edges of that yellow and make sure it blends evenly into normal skin. around the area and also on the orange smokey eye like on the other side, I'll take a little bit of 'Ringlight' on a little pencil brush and give it a quick spritz of a little bit of prep and setting and use that to highlight properly. in that inside corner, take a little more 'Bee' to make sure it's nice and blended.
Then I take some liquid glitter, obviously this one is gold this time and I pack it right on top and then I'll finish off this yellow eye with just a yellow pencil liner, this one is from NYX and it will pop out. A quick coat of mascara using the Mac Extended Lash Kit today. I'm going to wear Lily Lashes in the 'OKURRR' style. They're not from Miami for once, but they are very similar, these are actually longer on the end. So these will be perfect for an eye look like this where we really want to focus it on the inner corner and you can still always use the code 'James' for 15% off.
So those are both full eyes, I thought it was going to look crazy to have two different colors in the inner corner. But it's like living for this little strawberry-banana-lemonade moment we're having right now. I'm going to go ahead and brush off any excess powder that we still have on our face so we can move on to the highlights. I'll give my face a quick spritz of the prep and set the setting spray so the highlighter has something to adhere to and melt a little. Excess dust on the skin! Then on an M501, I'm going to dip into the shade 'Face' and just go right up there with the brow bone as always on the chin and then with that second M431 on the brush I'm going to put just a little dot. on the tip of the nose and a line right in the center and finally with my E4 brush I'm going to dip into the shadow 'Literally' the same color that I used on my little pink inner corner.
You guys know I've been loving this shade recently for blending my highlight and my blush, like I said at the beginning of the video. The lips are already on for obvious reasons and I think that's the first look, inspired by MakeupByRiquelle, all complete. I had a lot of fun

recreating

it. This look of Raquel well, I guess today there are more like twolooks! As I said before, such an easy warm toned smokey eye to wear using the middle row of the palette, that's exactly why I created it and of course we also had to do a little pop of color to make it fit with the outfit.
Release the theme of the artist within you. I feel like this is the perfect look for any beginner makeup wearer who wants to just dip their toes in color, but aren't comfortable with everything yet. But speaking of going to the end, we have two more looks to do it without further ado. Let's move on to look number two. Alright, it's day number three of I'm filming this video, but this will be look number two. I just wanted to say that because I just got a haircut, but in the next clip it's going to be long again and really gross.
It's been a disaster to film, but we'll do it together, you and I, so let's move on to the look. So for the first look we definitely kept it pretty simple and glamorous, still adding a pop of color, but a really great look for the everyday girl. Number two, obviously this is the 'Artistry' palette and it's a full rainbow palette, so for this look, you know, I had to add something with a lot of color. So I found this look from Lauryn Bettles, it's this Beautiful like a crease cut into a rainbow cloud with lots of different bright stars and I'm obsessed with how it turned out.
Oh Lord. I think it's very pretty, you guys know I don't play with glitter that often on this YouTube channel because I don't really like it, but I feel like she used this very, very wisely in this look and I also have I have some other ideas under the manga which I think I want to add to this look to really tie it together too. So, without further ado, let's jump in. I want to start on the inside corner first at that little crease moment and obviously we'll cut into the cloud later, but first I'll take an M456 and dive into the shadow.
Cola', which is the intense matte blue of the palette. I'm going to place 'Cola' right inside that inner fold area and take it out a little more when I cut the folds, usually. In fact, I cut it right on the fold line because I have this really annoying flap of skin covering my inner corner . It seems like such a stupid thing, but you have no idea how difficult it makes many makeup looks, especially cut creases, but with this cloud. I want to incorporate that a bit more, so I'll take it into consideration next to 'Cola'. I'll take a little bit of 'Daddy' on the same brush and place the shadow. also right next to it in the fold, in the fold.
What did I just say? Next to 'Daddy', I'm going to take 'Bee' on an M433 brush and place this right there, patting the color in first and then blending it upwards. I'll take some 'You're Kidding' on an M456. brush too and put it here. Obviously, I'm going to add a lot more color as well to blend them all together, but I just want the situation to start to map out everything I'm going to take. 'Escape' on an M456 brush and put this here, okay, so now I need to go back to all the transition colors to blend all of this together so it doesn't look gross like this.
So what I'm going to do is I'm going to take a fluffy brush and I'm going to dip it into 'Single' and I'm going to use this and I'm going to go right over the edge of this red and purple to blend these two colors together and blend this outer edge by adding a little bit more of " Are you kidding". a little more 'Bee' to polish that 'Daddy' using a little 'Social Blade' and finally a little 'Playground' just to polish that inner corner! To cut the crease and create this little cloud shape, I'm going to take the Morphe White Concealer and put it on the back of my hand.
Well I'll take the E19 brush, this one isn't in my brush set when I was making the brushes, I didn't exactly anticipate doing a cloud cut crease, I'm so sorry but I'll try to make this work. Lump number one, pretty good bulge if I do say so myself, not going to lie. How I do this? Okay, lump number two A little bit down, kind of good, fresh, a little funky, cloudy lump number three. I forgot to breathe. One more little lump, okay, this is good. Well. So now I'm going to take the M124. This is my all-time favorite brush for applying shadows and I'll grab some 'Love That' first.
Then I'll place it right above the outside edge. I'm going to grab 'You're kidding' with a little brush, so basically I'm going to keep applying these colors in the same rainbow order going back to the eyelid, but I'm going to leave more and more white space. This is like rainbow eyeliner almost next to the red I want to do some orange so I'm going to take some 'Rusted' put this right there just kidding I'm actually going to do '518' Finally I'm going to take some of yellow on that same brush, I'm going to pack that right here now I need to pack some white put some 'Flashback' right on top of everything Wow, I just realized I've been silent for almost this entire video that It's when you know, I'm struggling to get a real one.
Okay, now I'm going to do the lower lash line, something easy... and nice, so first I need to go a little more 'Single' with an M456 and really bring this all in. On the way to the lashes, we're also going to bring this down quite a bit because I'm going to add glitter and then I'm going to take a little bit of 'Playground' on this same brush from before and I'm going to put it right next to it and I'm going to bring this right to the inner corner as well. I'm slightly blurring those edges. Now I'm going to take some black, very carefully on a small pocket brush.
I'm going to put this. right against that lower lash line nice and smoky to be real. Well, it looks really beautiful. So, remember the first look from a few minutes ago? I talked about how I always like my inside corner, highlights, and waterline to match because I feel like it makes everything look cohesive, so I want to do the same here. I'm going to have a big touch of white in the inside corner. So I'm going to take a little bit of that Morphe white concealer with an eyeliner brush. I'm going to pat it off so it can dry a little bit, but I'm going to stick it right in my eyeball.
I'll also take a little bit of concealer just to draw a new lower lash line in the inner corner. I'm just going to take a little bit of 'Flashback' on a brush and I'm going to place this right in the inside corner. just to blur that hard edge, hard heart-t, just to blur that hard edge to blur that hard edge that's fine, what's wrong with me? Oh, the little stars and stuff forgot about that. Okay, so first I'm going to start by taking my NYX white liquid eyeliner and I'm just going to draw some little stars on the rainbow part.
Let's take a moment here, notice some little stars that I'm going to make. put glitter on the inside corner, but I'm going to take a little bit more of that liquid eyeliner and add some dots right on that white shade. This is something I also like to do when it comes to putting on a gloss. highlight in the inner corner because sometimes certain glitters or pigments only shine super super if the light hits them, but obviously depending on the lighting, you can't always do that. So what I like to do sometimes is take a target. liner and put a bunch of little dots here to almost mimic the look of glitter because that way you can still put a layer of glitter on top, but even if the light doesn't hit it, it's still going to be white.
Now, I just want to grab some different chunky glitters. Let's see. Oh, I should pretend the little star drips first, huh? I'll take my liner brush and dip it in the shade 'Single' and then I guess I'll just drip this on to get a real one. I'm going to take a little bit of 'Brother' using that same little bit. Now I'm going to brush, I'm going to put some glitter. Well, I have a few different chunky glitters that I'm going to use today and they're all from the brand 'In Your Dreams' on Instagram. I don't want to tip on that or it will fall everywhere and I'll die, but they are super cool and have lots of chunky glitter.
I feel like for some reason chunky glitter is impossible to find, but it's literally the only glitter I use because you guys. I know I hate glitter, period, so we're going to wear it. I'm going to put it on using the Peaches glitter sticker last, but last not least. I have some of these tiny star glitters. I don't know how far I can tilt them. It's going to fall first but they are shaped like stars. I promise, thank you to my sister Rocío for letting me lend them to me, I'm going to stick all these little stars at the bottom of each droplet as if they were stars that have fallen from the sky.
How cute. Oh Lord. So that's a completely complete eye and I'm obsessed with this. This is literally one of my favorite looks I've ever done and it's also one of the longest I've spent on one eye. I'm going to cut it quickly and that's it. off camera and do the other eye and I hope it doesn't take me four hours and I'll be right back with the finished look. Well I'm back, I've just finished the other eye off camera, this actually took me several more hours which is just lovely but it's done and that's all that matters and I feel so beautiful I'm done to put on a pair of Lily Lashes in the 'So extra Miami' style use the code James to get 15% off your purchase and now let's go ahead and move on.
To highlight the rest of the face I'm giving my face a quick spritz of Morphe setting and priming spray, this is literally my all time favorite and then I grab the shade 'Face' from the palette and then just grab 'Literally ' on an E4 brush, you guys thought this was my all-time favorite combo and put it right on top just to blend the highlighter and blush, finally for the lips, my favorite nude combo and then just top it off with a little bit of gloss and finally finishing this look of the Mac fix+ goldlite edition to give it some inner shine.
Okay, and literally four hours later, this is sister Lauryn Bettles-inspired look number two, all complete. I went into this look today knowing it was going to be a challenge and it definitely was but it took a lot longer than expected. Now you know, I love to just sit and play with makeup, but this took a lot of time, patience and precision to cut this crease, making sure all the whites and all the colors blended together, but that said, literally four hours of work later. I think every detail was worth it because I am obsessed with how this look turned out.
I think it's literally one of the most beautiful looks I've ever had on my face. Are you literally kidding me? Hey guys, you better double tap this Instagram image once it goes live. OMG but thank you so much to Lauryn for sharing this look with me and supporting me and my palette, it means so much! This literally proves that you can do anything with this palette if you decide to recreate this look at home, don't forget to tag Lauryn for makeup credit and also tag me so I can see all of your beautiful looks too. Without further ado, let's move on to the next one.
Alright, we finally move on to the last look of the video and I'm a little nervous about this one. I am not going to lie. I guess if you saw the thumbnail, this is probably why you clicked on this video. That's why I saved it for the latest queen of marketing. Today I'm recreating this look from LavieDunPrince, one of my very good friends, José José, is an incredibly talented makeup artist but also one of the nicest influencers I've ever met. day, what a love, I love him so much, but that being said, I'm very, very nervous about this look today because this whole makeup look was actually inspired by a photo by Marcelo Cantú, who is now an iconic photographer if you're not familiar with her.
Just like the history of the makeup community, this whole look and effect went viral several years ago thanks to a photo edit done by Marcelo Cantú. Now I've photographed with him before, his work is literally crazy, one of the coolest photographers of all time and he's well known for doing digital effects. Now I know for sure that this original photo that Marcelo took was completely edited and José did it with makeup and when I saw Marcelo's photo a few years ago I always wanted to recreate it, but overall I never thought it would be possible to use makeup because the colors are so vibrant , but Sister José managed to do it and managed to do it.
It was even better, she used my palette. So I thought for today's last look, I would try my best to recreate this if it turns out cool, amazing. If it turns out bad, at least it's the last look and you guys would have done it. I already clicked on the video from the beginning. Ok, so I think looking at this photo and also this James Charles palette in excellent condition, I think I want to start with the highlights and build backwards with the colors. Ok, so I think First I'll take my M433 brush and dip it in the shade 'Playground', which is like turquoise blue.
I'll put it on this side because this is my best side. I'm going to say this like, right... Oh my God, there's no turning back now, so I'm going to take it up to the nose, what I'm not going to do is start freaking out, okay, we're going to make this positive and I need a little else here too. Obviously I'm going to be applying a lot more coats, but I feel like this is a good start. Now I'm going to grab another M433 and dip into the 'Single' shade and use this. like under the blue, so here maybeI'll take some 'Brother' on an M519 and use it to mix the blue and purple.
I'm just placing colors here randomly. So I don't even know if this is supposed to be like a tutorial or what's going on. I'm assuming it's going to take a lot of FaceTune to bring this to life. You know what? Okay, you know, I love a good FaceTune moment. I'm the queen of FaceTune, so we can definitely make it work. Adding that 'Brother' tone between Playground' and 'Single' definitely makes it look a lot better. But, it's still not good. Oh, I forgot my forehead bone. I'll do it in a second. Okay, I need to put more things here.
I've done some 'Single' here next to the blue one. I might add a little more purple here. I'm going to take the shade 'Love That' in a slightly fluffier tone. brush and use this to blend the edges of that purple. Oh yes, yes sister! The boss just called and this, this is what was so annoying a bit of 'Love That' on the inside of the nose area. I feel like during these videos and these types of looks I always get really discouraged when that's not the case. It looks perfect straight away, but in the end... I'm usually happy with it at the moment, definitely at that stage where it doesn't look good I'm not going to give up and I hope it looks good when I finish this right now.
I think anything will save this look, it will be the highlight and you will like the white, so I'll take an M456 and the shade 'Hello'. It's like the icy, shiny metallic baby blue of the palette. I'm going to give it a nice touch of prep and set up because I definitely want it to be very, very metallic and I'm going to start putting this color on the high spots, this is going to come together, no lie, it's going to pop. a little bit of 'Hello' right on that inner corner and on the tip of the nose, also up to the bridge of the nose and also on the brow bone.
Now I want to take another one of the m456 brushes and dip it into the shade 'Ring Light', which is like that metallic pearl. I want to give it a little bit of prep and hold and put it even more in the middle. This is exactly what we need. Well? Oh, I should definitely put some in my ear. Mm-hmm Definitely in my ear In the original photo of José, he has winged eyeliner. I already have lashes on because I was too lazy to take them off before starting this look for some reason and now I'm going to be really lazy, I'm going to try to do my winged liner over my lashes.
Is this going to work? Probably not, am I going to try it? Absolutely. Ohhhhhhh my GOD I'm the queen of saving time look at that wing! Gosh, normally I would never make a wing that thick, but Jose's wing was big and he was in charge today, girl. So let's even it out. I'll do it on the other eye too, although I assume there won't be anything there. Did I just make my winged eyeliner literally perfectly even? I would like to thank not only God but also Jesus. In José's original look, he has his lower lash line smoked with black.
You guys know I don't really like putting black on my waterline, but we're going to do it today. I'm going to dip into the 'Spooky' shade on my M508 brush and just go there! INSTANT REGRET! Oh my god, I should have left it as it was. Ohhhh NOOO. I'm going to use the Urban Decay glide pencil in the shade 'Zero', which is the black, and I'm going to put this on my waterline, I guess last. I'm going to put on a black liquid lipstick. This is Ofra in the shade 'The Bronx'. Use code 'James' for 30% off.
Whenever I do black lips, I tend to overline them. Oh, that's not good. Mascara Alright guys, I think this is the final look of LavieDunPrince inspired by Marcelo Cantu. Complete photo. I'm really not sure how much better I can make it look, considering the original wasn't even real makeup and was a digitally edited photo, where literally anything is possible. Considering I think we made it... okay, today I think it looks definitely decent with a little facetune. This will be good... and fresh. And having said all that, I think those are the three looks, all complete. I really hope you enjoyed watching me recreate or at least... try to recreate these three makeup looks on my face today.
Oh my gosh, when I saw these three looks from the original artist, I got so excited. and I just wanted to play and sit with the palette, which is exactly why I did this in the first place, these artists blew me away. And even if the last look didn't go exactly as planned, I definitely had a lot of fun challenging myself today and felt equally beautiful in all three looks.
