Ranking Every Nintendo Console

Jun 01, 2021
Oh boy, this is going to be hard to do because Nintendo

console

s are like kids to me. I felt the fairest way to rank them was to base them on the hardware itself any future additions that might have improved them and we're only counting

console

s. They're not arcade machines or handheld devices, so with that out of the way, let's get her a little mini ranked 18th. This is the only Nintendo console that I don't see anyone wanting to own unless they're collectors or something. . The Wii Mini is really interesting because it wasn't available in big countries like Japan and Australia and you've probably noticed that this looks physically different when you put your Wii discs in by opening a tray and pushing it into place like with the GameCube and speaking of which, There are no slots for a Gamecube controller or memory card, which means there is no backwards compatibility and the online connection has been removed completely, so you can't download games or play anything online, even when the service was available.

There's also only one USB port on the back instead of two in there's no way to insert an SD card, so what the hell is with this thing? The box comes with a red Wii MotionPlus controller, a red nunchuck that I didn't receive when I ordered this, and Mario Kart Wii, even at a cheap price. Futures were removed and I don't understand why anyone would use this when you can get a Wii for the exact same price even when it was first released. We really don't cost the player much more than 17 IQ, so this is a Chinese exclusive. plug and play slash console which I don't own Hi guys Andrew, looks like you're in a bit of a pickle, well the IQ player was too expensive for me but it was developed and released through a joint venture. in China, so it should count towards the list, yes, and this was during a time when physical video games were banned in the country, so the fact that Nintendo found a way around it is quite extraordinary, the console itself is actually just this controller, it looks a lot. like an original Xbox controller and all games are stored on a 64 megabyte flash card, you can buy games like Mario Kart 64 Animal Crossing and about 20 other hit titles, plus it comes with game demos like ocarina of time, Super Mario 64 and starfox 64.

More Interesting Facts About,

ranking every nintendo console...

Well it's quite interesting, the IQ Player is extremely limited because the card can only hold up to five games at a time and yes there are demos you can play but each of them is limited to one hour and one time that time is running out, You're gone forever, playing multiplayer is also much harder nowadays because you would have to find a special multiplayer box to make this happen and accessories like the Rumble pack are not supported at all, it's a good one Piece of history, but not really worth it seriously. playing today unless you're a more hardcore collector of the 16 Famicom classic, you might be a little surprised to see a newer console so high on this list, but I have my reasons: one of the tricks of the original Famicom was Having your controllers connected directly to the console and placing them on the sides made sense in the 80s because TVs were much smaller and having the entire console next to it made a little more sense, but this mini console came out in 2016, those small TVs really no.

It doesn't exist anymore. I like the console, but it's not that practical being forced to have two consoles so close to you is quite complicated and not a great experience. They could have made the controller wireless but it still fits in the side slots but They chose not to change anything outside of the HD graphics and being able to save state it also didn't come with an AC adapter but luckily the connection is just the USB, so you will probably find one lying around, look for it and turn it on. and plays 15 Famicom and here is the original console.

Now sure you can't play games in high resolution, but at least it makes a lot more sense to have the controllers connected to the console and what I'm saying, it makes more sense than not. It doesn't mean that the idea was necessarily a good thing, having detachable controllers is just more convenient, but the console itself is pretty good at inserting games and is now pretty simple compared to the American NES, which we'll get to later. You can also add a device called a family computer disk system that allows you to play games on floppy disks, although it was never brought to the United States.
The way these discs work was really cool, you can buy them normally or go to a kiosk and essentially pick and trade your existing ones. games with new ones, you can even power this with batteries if you don't want to use an AC adapter, but even with the add-on, the Rollers accessory is still a bit disappointing. 14 nes, so this is the famous calm, but it was built to look like a VCR in the 80s, it made a lot of sense to mold it to console this way, so it appealed to the Western Borg audience, but today it looks a little bulky to insert games you need to open this door push them in and then down to lock it in place this is fine and all but the mechanism has not aged well as my NES games easily get stuck inside and this It's after cleaning my console.
The big advantage is of course that NES controllers have longer cables and you can separate them and I think they are a little higher quality, but these are consoles. I've already ranked Nintendo controllers, so let's stay on track. 13 NES top loader /av Famicom this is a near perfect update to the original NES The best thing is that games easily enter and exit the system, no more ugly doors and hinges, there is no region lock either, so you can play from anywhere In the world, the top loader comes with these dog bone drivers that most people tend towards.
I prefer them to the originals simply because they are more comfortable to hold. My only problem with this upgraded console is that they got rid of the composite ports. You can only use RSF, which is more complicated to connect and only makes the image look worse. It's a little strange that there's no LED light to indicate whether your system is on or not, but overall the improvements make the top loader slightly better than the original. I'll quickly mention that Japan also got a Famicom update called a b or new. famicom which looks identical to the top loader, the only difference is that the RF ports were replaced with a poor V, hence the name 12 Nintendo 64.
I'm trying not to seem biased towards this console, you may have noticed from my avatar channel that I'm a fan of the n64 and it certainly does a lot of good, one of the best future ones as it has four dedicated controller ports, whereas technically you could add four ports with older systems using something like the NES fourscore. Having them directly in the console really encourages developers. creating local multiplayer games on the n64 is the king of that with games like smash bros goldeneye mario kart 64 pokemon stadium and the list goes on and on. You can also add something called an expansion pack which basically adds more RAM to your console. you could play games like Donkey Kong 64 Perfect Dark or Majora's Mask in Japan there was also an n64 disk drive but I don't have one to show for it because well these prices speak for themselves, the only thing I can say, I don't really like it.
The thing about the console is that the controllers aren't that good despite how innovative they were and using cars probably wasn't the best idea. First of all, where are the end tags? I have to make my own so I can keep track of all my n64 games on In the second competition, like PlayStation and then Xbox, we used discs which allowed them to store more data, but Nintendo chose to stick with cartridges, which really made them It hurt in the long run, as many third-party developers couldn't port their games. in your nest of xi new styles / Super Famicom jr.
I really debated including this because it's very similar to the original snez, but there are a couple of changes. The most notable is, of course, the sleek new look on the American and Japanese versions. The biggest difference from Super Famicom juniors is that it was no longer supported. satella view due to the way the console was built, which is a device we'll get to in a minute, like the NES top loader, the LED indicator light was removed, so you can't tell if the console is lit or not, honestly, this rope nest could be interchanged with 10 nests.
The title of this console really proved to be the word Super. The graphics were now 16-bit. The controllers were much more comfortable. There are more buttons. You could easily eject your cartridge. What more could you want? Well, how about Super? Gameboy by placing this in your nest allows you to play your favorite Game Boy games on the big screen and even adds color to some of them today which may not seem that impressive but back in the 90's when it was released, It was amazing to be able to play Gameboy. games without having to worry about the batteries dying and plus there is an LED light which makes it a little better than the remodel, at least for me 9 super famicom, so I won't reiterate what this console has to offer, since which is basically the same as the original stess the main difference is its compatibility with centella view this peripheral was a satellite modem that allowed you to download games and even magazines the idea that this existed before the Internet existed is crazy, it lasted several years This peripheral alone gives it an advantage over the American version of the snus eight GameCube here is another console that is still such a strange piece of technology instead of something that is more rectangular and flattened this is literally a cube with a handle on the back the handle is always done.
It's funny, but if you really think about it, it makes a lot of sense for it to be there. It's easy to carry, say, an n64 with one hand because you can get a better grip on the sides, but not with the Gamecube. This would have been the case if the handle wasn't there, there are four controller ports once again as well as two memory card slots, the discs are super small which Nintendo did to prevent piracy but this once again ruined them with third party developers. since they couldn't hold as much data as a ps2 or an xbox, but even with all that, this console has some amazing and unique games and the controller is so good that it is still being produced today for smash bros ultimate, it's fantastic. peripheral that you can add to it called gameboy player, which is similar to sneza, but now you can play Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games, and I mean, come on, you can't beat that GameCube 7 intro, NES classic, so now we're basically stuck with the more modern consoles and the NES classic is pretty solid, the graphics are now in HD, you can save the state of your games and the 30 included are pretty impressive photos.
My only real problem here is that the drivers are too. short but at least you can get controller extenders plus you can use different controllers like a Wii classic pro since the port is exactly the same meaning you can use an NES controller on your Wii to play virtual console games of Wii, but that's beside the point. Brilliant. I should also mention that modding this console is extremely easy compared to any other console, so I think it's worth mentioning as a plus. If you want to modify your console, you can add more NES games to your library with all the benefits. this mini system already offers six Ness classics, it's obviously the same idea as the NES classic, but all the games are small, although there aren't that many to play, only 20 compared to the three, the selection is pretty good besides the first. official release of Star Fox 2 how crazy it is that Nintendo releases a sneaky to the public twenty years after the console came out the package also comes with two cest controllers while the NES one only came with one controller the courts are still a little short but They're definitely longer, so I can at least accept their length and reopen the mod sets.
If you want to do it now, you can add Nest Cam on top of the extra and yes, once or even Game Boy like I did. five Super Famicom classics I don't really have much to add here, as this is just the snez classic, but in Japanese, in a slightly different selection of games, the two could be interchanged. I chose to put this one above the US version simply because it's a touch. smaller which makes it a little easier to store because we're VL 101 you're probably wondering what the heck it is, well it's a Wii but without any GameCube support that's true since Tendou was making the transition to Wii U, they sold these different versions.
They don't have the ports but

every

thing else is still intact. I thought I might as well upload this console since it's technically different hardware-wise. 3 Wii. It seems strange to have this so high since it is so radically different from the other consoles ofNintendo. but it really did so much that people can notice that one of my favorite additions is support for all GameCube games and it easily slotted to the top of the console. The controllers aren't exactly my favorite, but there were plenty of official Nintendo ones to choose from, like the Wii Remote Nunchuk, the classic and the pro,

every

thing being wireless was really nice, it was just more convenient and less cluttered, plus we had the Store Channel Wii that allowed you to download hundreds of retro games.
In addition to the titles and other channels, I'm now sure the Wii library is full of shovels on the Wii moniker, it's a bit clever but there's no denying the power of the week, although I wish it was HD using cables compounds even earlier. So it was a bit boring for Wii U, so yes this is Nintendo's worst selling home console due to the fact that they had no idea how to market this and it was called Wii U, but the console itself is really amazing, like I think people forget that it was Nintendo's first step towards HD and that it was compatible with all We games and the entire We Shop channel catalog.
The gamepad was a pre-knee controller, despite some of the its shortcomings, you can even use all your old Wii accessories which means the Wii U is compatible with controllers like 6000. It's a bit ridiculous now that it wasn't as powerful as the ps3 or xbox 360 but it definitely does a lot more than the original thing we did in terms of the console itself. I wish it had a little more internal storage because 32 gigabytes for the deluxe version is pretty low, it's a shame for the flat console because it was and still is pretty sick and number one is the switch.
I'm sure no one is surprised that this is number one and it's a little strange that it's because it's Nintendo's first hybrid console, even though it's technically a handheld, it uses the dock and can be played. on the big screen so I think we'll let it slide on this list, what else do I need to say about the Switch? It's one of Nintendo's best ideas for a console. The joy cons are technical marvels, despite being a little small, they slide easily. on the switch so you can switch them while playing in handheld mode at the same time, the dock itself could use some work, but the ability to switch from handheld to dock is incredibly seamless, even though the Wii U flopped and people don't really play all the amazing Wii U games, almost all of the best ones have been ported to the Switch or now there are similar sequels like splatoon 2 or Super Mario maker 2 and if you don't want to use the Joye cons, you have the Switch Pro controller I won't go into details, but you already know she's one of the best in the industry.
Now the Switch is still a new console, so we don't have the same backwards compatibility as the Wii and Wii U, but as time goes on, I'm sure they will add more retro games and continue to expand their library. It was a pretty difficult list to put together and many thanks to the absentees for helping me with this one. Thank goodness he has an IQ player we could use. the video, so why not watch this video of his? It's very cute and I think you'll like it if you enjoyed it. Thank you all so much for watching and I hope you have a wonderful day until next time.
