When people look back at these videos, they'll say, What are they talking about? What was happening? It's like the zombie apocalypse. I consider ourselves very lucky, first of all, I have an amazing friend who lets me sleep. Secondly, we still have most of the amenities that we would have on the Internet, we have food and what I'm probably most grateful for is that we can still work and there are a lot of things to work on in Burn Peak, if you thought hanging out with Seth in Burn Peak was just riding bikes and drinking beer, you've got something else coming up.

I have never met anyone with a work ethic like Seth, whether on the computer producing a video or in the garden building, Seth stays busy from the moment he wakes up to the moment the sun goes down, and to me, you know the saying When you're in Rome and that's what life here at the peak of the burn you're around Seth and you are working hard there's always a new project to do there's always something to accomplish it's not out of the ordinary It's common to wake up and before you even have a cup of coffee you've shoveled a ton like a tonic just take all of this before you ride out of the trailer, that's normal, looking ready for your first trail project from start to finish, even though the rest of the The world was slowing to a stop, the stuff burning only continued to increase as Seth and I set about starting construction on the latest addition to his collection of backyard mountain bike features.
Well, we are here at the workplace. What is the master plan? You haven't really explained it to me yet, so this is a case of Opportunism, there was a storm, branches fell everywhere, but the most notable thing is that we are going to ride a bike in this hell, yes, so a milot flanked him so that it felt like kind of a thin, rolled-down seat, then we'll connect with Knob deep in there. So it will be a connecting path. The area we are currently building in is overgrown, so the goal of the first day was to clear all the debris while Seth got to work clearing the tree.
The hike up the exit trail he had marked turned out to be a long day physically, but to be honest it was quite enjoyable, not only did I enjoy being in the woods all day, but I also found the manual work tedious. being almost meditative in a way, not to mention it was the perfect distraction to help me take my mind off everything else that was going on in the world, that being said, it was hard work, alex is a little fitter than me when it comes to to climbing mountain bike trails, so his legs are pretty strong, he has good cardio, but going up and down that slope with stuff is different and the other day he wakes up and says we have to do this again, my legs are Incredibly shot.
I can't walk and then we got up and moved on and did it all again the next day with all the minor work complete. Things really started to progress on the second day, everything looks great right now, it's coming together, man, it did. It's great to see that vision of these things starting to take shape, and as we wrapped up the second day I started to get excited about the prospect of writing a feature I'd helped build from scratch, so that's about to come. the first run of this, everything we've worked on to culminate right here, okay, coming in, sender, dude, what's his name, holy cow, I can't believe how fast it happened, bro, it's the most intuitive feature ever. we have created for you.
Try it, hey, are you ready when we're going to create a function that can just go up and not be a bit of a nervous dog, but up and down and a woodpecker all the way down, not always down all the way, all right? many achieved great success, it was super fun. I can't even explain how fun it was. Okay, that's an Elmer Fudd summary, yes, I would say that and it works perfectly. There's something really cool about starting from scratch, building something, and then putting it together. you're addicted, it's amazing on a normal week, it's right around this point that I would go out for an awesome bike ride with friends followed by a visit to one of Asheville's many delicious breweries or maybe I'd call my friend Johnny and I would approach. to hang out and play some video games, unfortunately these are not normal times, so instead of thinking about what could be, I have been doing my best to take advantage of this time and focus on things that I find difficult to accomplish when I am out. the trail, staying healthy, staying in good physical shape is really very important to me and there's something about being on the trail and being in a different place almost every day that makes it really difficult, so while I've been here at Burn Peak , I have really taken advantage of it.
Seth has his whole basement unfinished, so I've been coming here almost every day and doing at least one thing that I don't like to do for a long time, so when I work out. I just SuperDuper hard. I like, you know, 45 minutes and when I'm done I can barely walk and it feels great, but my favorite thing has actually become these gymnastics rings. Have you ever made them? They are so hard. You're so incredibly difficult that you want something to make you feel weak, you get a set of these. I'm wondering if I might like a standard position, so I've been working on standard gymnastics, so you start like that and then as you progress. you extend your arms and finally start to get in, which is squatting, you say 1/3 shaking, how red my face is, ha, this is what quarantine will end eventually and when it does, I want to be able to physically go out and pursue.
It's the biggest adventure I can imagine, you know? So I've kept that in mind while I'm here and I'm just trying to prepare for when we have my freedom again when I can get back in the van and that's it. It's kind of kept me waiting for something, so I don't know, I do this, this is my extracurricular program down here, there's one, well, two things that have played a big role for both of us and keeping our spirits up while we're online, Technically, I'm not really pointing out, we're just in quarantine with two children, I'll say it as cheerfully as sometimes it's exasperating and the rest, I mean, this food is basically the same as having a baby in the house, it's still a little bit and it's crazy.
I mean he never, ever, can't sit still for even a second when we try to work, it's terrible, actually, you can't do anything, besides, look at him, you can't do anything, besides, look at Oscar, it's impossible, yeah, the Productivity is simply lost. window with Oscar around, you know, the funniest thing about Oscar is that there was a noise when he did, he's a threat, he goes to the bathroom all over the house, if you don't look at him, he sneaks out and does something he's not supposed to he must put everything in his mouth literally anything except his toys and make it work zoomies this is a Swiffer by the way this is just a cleaning product but the drama is like in an angel he is like the best puppy ever the drama does He tries his best to avoid his little brother in the moment well, sometimes pretty well, but when the drama is over, he's over and then Oscar is still following him and the drama doesn't want anything to do with it, okay, I think so. surpassed, so run high and jump.
Then he jumps somewhere where Oscar can't reach you, as he jumps onto his chair, which is actually running out of places to do it because Oscar almost climbed the stairs the other day and is starting to learn to jump and climb. and then I got very worried because from now on dramas are the only ones that can arise. Everyone wakes up and Oscar is going crazy in dramas like him. I'm not ready to wake up. I hear. I hear them go up the stairs. Like a pause at my door, oh God, I'm not coming in, come anyone, you can jump into bed.
Oscar is still just a puppy at 11 weeks and, as you can see, he has an endless supply of energy, whether we're running around. trails or playing with him and his toys it is absolutely essential that we make sure he is completely and undeniably taken out at the end of each day. He can't, he denies it and says that only then will we be assured of a quiet and productive evening. I imagine everyone handles quarantine slightly differently and Seth and I are no different, it's been pretty much the same, just doing things with you changed everything for me, okay, open the window and he says you're really worried by This thing is not you.
I'm like, yeah, you know, sometimes I stay in places when I want, but now they tell me to do it and this changes things a little bit. I wanted to rent a wood chipper, no one will rent me one. wood chipper there D like Arca de ren21 three weeks I have this old keyboard lying around here I've been carrying this in my truck for the last two years and I haven't gone out once, but here in quarantine I actually have I took it out here and I've been playing and it has been incredible. I mean, I'm not bored at all.
I don't feel locked in. I'm doing exactly what I was doing before this, the person at the register had his mask over his mouth with his nose out I don't know man, I don't know anymore even with Alexander here and everything he does makes me feel a little only. In fact, I consider myself an introvert who recharges by being alone. I cleaned the store several times. times a week I'm just a crazy person. It drives me crazy when the store is messy and I'm trying to edit. I am a video game player. I really enjoy video games.
I like to be noticed seven

days

a week. I've been playing some really fun games, the games are so good these days, it's been so long since I played video games. One thing I will say is that I feel like we've lost momentum. I don't know, maybe we haven't really lost. impulse maybe in reality everything stays the same you change things, new opportunities arise and you are able to focus on things you haven't focused on for a while when you are in situations where you are forced to be more creative, sometimes you find yourself kind of more noticeable results, first of all, I'm really grateful to have a place to stay where I can work and, hey, you know, I have this really big, comfortable bed here, so it gets better even if I have a bed in the van but She's not that pretty I have nothing to complain about Quarantine changes everything for me but it's not but not in a bad way I would say honestly there's not much to complain about We have a pretty good guy I'm so in trouble He just followed us here Right, no brought him here he's trying to find a place to make movies Oh no how did you find your way here little buddy this is no good this was my last safe haven? from him and now he's gone forever because he can climb the stairs.
This is a terrible day.
