Problematic Roller Coasters - Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure - One Of The Most Complicated Attractions

Jun 06, 2021
In my last video I talked about the rise and fall of the old Islands of Adventure attraction, dueling dragons, a pair of inverted

roller

coasters

, unlike anything the world has ever seen, Universal will replace the dragons with a new beast

roller

coaster with the name. from Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorcycle Adventure, a multi-launch roller coaster made with intimate

attractions

and if you've seen my full review video on Hagrid's then you'll know that I consider the attraction to be a perfect addition to Harry's Wizarding World potter, even What's more, I consider it the best ride at Universal Orlando Resort.

Guests board Hagrid's famous motorcycle and take a ride through the forbidden forest while encountering various magical creatures. Overall, I think the ride combines some of the best elements of a theme park. attraction in a single experience, but this combination of elements has a drawback and that is the additional complexity of the trip. I'm sure many of you heard or witnessed how unreliable Hagrid's Motorcycle Adventure was during its first few months of operation and after learning more. and more about the trip. I think it's a miracle that the roller coaster was open as often as it was during its worrying initial months.

In this video we will discuss many of the technical aspects of this journey that might help you appreciate it more than you already do. Honestly, I think it's one of the

most

daring

coasters

built since the

most

exciting dragster at Cedar Point in 2003 or King Nakat's big Six Flags

adventure

in 2005. Before we start, if you wouldn't mind hitting the like button, It would be greatly appreciated as it helps the channel greatly among the YouTube algorithm. Well, let's dive into the caveat that some viewers may be too boring to enjoy the following information. Dragon Challenge aka dueling dragons was shut down for good on September 4, 2017 and almost immediately Universal went to work and demolished the two coasters they were clearly up to something and were not wasting any time after the two coasters Russians were removed completely, it was obvious that the park had left the station building for the dueling dragons still intact in January 2018 construction began on Hagrids, but in the When the name and the attraction itself were still a mystery Since Islands of Adventure had not officially acknowledged that they were up to anything, when the track and supporting pieces began to arrive on site, it became immediately obvious that the attraction was manufactured by Intimate Attractions from the same manufacturer that had built Harry Potter. and Gringotts Escape in 2014 at Universal Studios Florida Over the next year construction crews would continue their work on the attraction and it wasn't until work was nearly complete that Universal finally announced the attraction on February 21, 2019.

adventure

, quite a long name and for the first time riders would be able to fly deep into the wilds of the forbidden forest beyond the grounds of the hogwarts castle and more it was announced that the attraction would officially open on June 13, 2019 and naturally the excitement around the roller coaster continued to grow after construction was completed, the attraction began testing easily during the spring season and everything seemed to be going well, train after train would run.

We took the tour without hesitation and as planned in June 2019, the attraction had its press day and the start of opening day and although the attraction was immediately greeted with great fanfare, it was embarrassingly obvious how unreliable it was. the roller coaster with which it was common. Hagrids would spend hours and hours closed at a time with only a few minutes of operation between closings and this was not helpful for the absolutely massive crowds, the roller coaster was either retracted or on opening day the line for the roller coaster stretched as far as almost the end.
At the park entrance, some visitors spent all day in line only to be denied ride due to all the downtime. Universal began opening the attraction later that same day instead of at park opening. As they address operational issues with the coaster, the park would update guests via their phone app to know when the coaster officially opened. roller coaster that day and overall it was a disaster some days, Hagrid's Motorcycle Adventure would unfortunately remain closed all day, universal would then go on to open the roller coaster with the park every day but would close the attraction early instead at Park nearby to give engineers time to continue troubleshooting the problems, but even when the coaster was open, operations were sporadic and it was common for the coaster to reopen only to quickly close due to technical issues, the coaster The roller coaster quickly gained a reputation as one of the most unreliable roller coasters ever built and also one of the most difficult

attractions

to ride, although I must point out that the roller coaster was not dangerous at all, it was very safe, just from the point of view Operationally, a headache on my last visit to Universal Orlando Resort in July 2019.
The only way to get on the roller coaster is with a skip-the-line pass and even with that pass it took me over an hour to get on the coaster. roller coaster thanks to several technical delays. Now roller coasters at Disney or Universal theme parks are more frequent. which is not much different than the roller coasters you would find at a regular Six Flags park, on the one hand the attractions generally feature a large number of themes and on the other hand the attractions are designed to operate at a much higher capacity. larger, meaning they can handle more riders each hour and do so regularly next to islands of adventure at Universal Studios Florida is Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket a major outdoor roller coaster the attraction is designed to handle a monstrous number of guests each hour and does so with small 12-passenger trains similar to the small 14-passenger trains found in Hagrid's Motorcycle Adventure.
For roller coasters like these to feature such high passenger capacities, they must be able to run more than 100 trains every hour on a ripride rocket. This is possible thanks to the large number of brake paths found along the route that divide the track into multiple block sections, allowing several trains to be safely on the route at the same time and the same idea is applies to Hagrid's motorcycle adventure. Hagrid is also divided into several different blocking zones which allow multiple trains to be safely on the course at the same time now for those of you who are not familiar a stone block is a section of the course that can only be occupied by one train at the end of A blocking zone is a method of stopping a train in case the blocking zone ahead is still occupied, this is the safety system that prevents roller coaster trains from colliding with each other, but the way two mountains run their blocking zones is completely different.
The ripride rocket does it more in the traditional sense, i.e. the ride. features a large lift up and then the rest of the design is gravity dependent each block zone is gravity fed as the train descends through the cores and gradually loses speed until the final hills are very small while the Hagrid's Motorcycle Adventure is a multi-launch roller coaster that instead relies on a series of special launch elements and even moving track pieces to transport trains from block area to stone block, this to in turn leads to a host of additional technical components featured in Hagrids that are not found in the Ripride rocket from Hagrid's motorcycle.
The adventure spends most of its time at ground level. It features seven different launches powered by linear synchronous motors or lsms to keep the trains rolling around the 5,053 feet or 1,540 meters of track as ride maker intamin announces its lsm launch roller coasters will use the fifth . generational lsm technology the lsm stators used by intimates are produced by a company called innovative drive technologies or in-drive technology for a short time, while I wouldn't say that the lsm stators are unreliable having seven launches means there are more opportunities for errors of launch such as reversals or other minor problems, it is common for other intimate multi-launch roller coasters, such as Maverick at Cedar Point or Teheran at Fontazio Land, to feature two launches, some even feature three, such as Sheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens in Tampa, but Hagrid features a whopping seven of them, so the more you launch, the more opportunities you have for downtime and each launch section also features adjustable magnetic brake fins which are moving parts.
Brake flaps help slow a train if it is not launched fast enough and rolls backwards on the launching track. Each brake fin must lower. out of the path of a moving train for each launch, then after the train is launched, the brake flap must be raised back to the braking position in case the train turns backwards to monitor the position of the brakes. brake fins. Sensors are located on each fin mechanism if only one If the fin returned a minor error, the computer may shut down during the entire stroke. This is the same problem that plagues the intermittent hydraulic launch of coasters like the Top Thrill Dragster or King Naka.
These rides rely on a large number of adjustable brake fins which also feature similar sensors, it is possible for the fins to get stuck or the sensors to malfunction and register in the correct positions, either situation leads to technical delay ordered by the attraction's computer system. Hagrid's is also different than most roller coasters and the track is not a continuous loop on most roller coasters, once your train leaves the station it travels along a continuous section of track until it reaches you arrive at the station again, so imagine the track as a circle. Hagrid's actually travels over several different individual portions of the track once he leaves the station, beginning by riding a continuous section of track that passes two boats inside Hagrid's cabin and then another two boats long after the fourth launch, The journey goes through what is called a path of change.
This switch track is used to pass the train from one. continuous track segment into another and slides back and forth to align with different track segments. After a fifth launch, the ride reaches a 70-degree peak where the train loses speed completely and then rolls backwards. Most roller coasters are designed not to roll backwards, but in

hagrid

s that is just designed directly into the ride because why not the train continue backwards and go over the switch track again, but this time it goes to a third segment of the road? The train continues backwards across this third section of track as it heads into a building.
Then, inside the building, the train passes over another switch track that aligns the route for another special effect. A drop track, this segment of track actually drops vertically like a drop tower attraction and Hagrid not only features one drop track, but two of them. The two downhill tracks are parallel to each other and by having two downhill tracks, the ride can run more trains each hour to help increase passenger capacity, but each downhill track is another segment of track and also a piece of moving track, so we are now up to five different segments of track since the train left the station, although it should be noted that any train will only travel on four different segments of track because the train uses one of the two tracks descent, so it returns to the beginning of the route. track A switch track must be properly aligned in place to pass trains between the two down tracks, so one moving track section must pass trains onto another moving track track the down track eventually the train departs. from the downhill track and passes over another switch track that puts the train on the same segment of track it started on, we finally have a continuous loop, so for probably 99.9 of the roller coasters a train simply needs roll through a continuous loop of track, but on the other hand, Hagrid presents five sectionsdifferent pieces of track and depends on moving pieces of track to get the train from point a to point b, so instead of Hagrid being a simple circle, it's like a mix of semicircles and different lines connected by pieces of track moving.
It's strange now that Hagrid is certainly not the first roller coaster. to include mid-trip switch tracks, the first switch tracks I know of were found on Togo's Ultra Twister models which feature a large mid-trip switch track, the trains entered the forward position and then exited traveling backwards. Another good example is the Everest expedition at Disney. animal kingdom now on both trips the train stops movement completely while the track changes position, but in Hagrid's motorcycle adventure the first track change of the trip changes places while the train is still moving and in reality the train goes directly towards him, this is done. possible with a high speed switch track, the switch track is capable of changing position quickly unlike the slower switch tracks found on Expedition Everest or Ultratwister Due to this, hacker trains do not need stop completely while the shift track changes position.
The ride also relies on a set of LSM stator brake fins and tire transmissions as a safety measure in case the shift track was not positioned correctly. If the shift track did not change position, the brake flaps of the lsm stators and tire drives would stop the train safely before reaching the switch track and the train bottoms out on the small differential leading to the peak, now what amazes me is how Hagrid depends on these segments of moving track for continuous movement, this adds an incredible amount of additional complexity to an already complex journey. Track pieces must be moved from one position to the next, properly aligned in the correct position, and then also locked into place hundreds of times every hour.
Now let's look at the station area.Hagrid's features one of the coolest roller coaster stations I've ever seen. The station area is divided into a separate loading and unloading area, but the entire station platform is always moving. Trains slowly pass the unloading platform for guests to disembark from the attraction and then. to the loading platform for new guests to board at any time, up to four trains could be inside the station, say a train in the unloading part, a train between the unloading and loading station in what is called the buffer and two trains in the load. part and possibly a fifth train entering the station area and a sixth train shortly after it, all of these trains move together at a continuous speed and must maintain an exact distance from each other.
The ride uses a busbar and encoder to monitor the position of each train. As you slowly make your way through the station area, the busbar is the green rail that starts near the unicorn at the final brake. The encoder and busbar measure the position of each train literally to the millimeter and ensure that the trains maintain a specific distance from each other. At any time, if trains do not maintain the necessary distance, the journey may fail and stop. Continuous movement is accomplished through the use of dozens and dozens of tire motors located throughout the station. These tires keep the trains at a constant speed as they move. rub against the bottom of the trains as they are pushed through the station, an error in any of these drive motors could fail the ride and cause a delay in operations and as I said before, there are dozens and dozens of more tires which are located throughout the trip which could also lead to the same problem the station areas also have moving platforms for guests and hosts of the trip there is a moving platform at the unloading station and a moving platform at the loading station these platforms mobiles must maintain exactly the same speed as the trains ride or the ride fails and shuts down too, the platform can be thrown by a large passenger jumping onto the platform, which can cause the platform to change speed slightly, which generates an error.
The station is also used to charge the batteries found on Hagrid's Trains, these batteries power the vehicles' lights and speakers during their journey, when the train enters the unloading station it connects with another green bus bar. on the right side of the track that charges the battery as the train slowly moves through the station area. Technically these are not batteries but capacitors are actually different from batteries and the way they store energy because of the different method of energy storage, they can charge much faster than batteries but they don't hold as much charge while the train moves forward. station, I heard that the capacitors receive enough power to power the train's special effects for only 10 or 15 minutes, so let's say that if the ride experiences a mechanical delay and your train stops mid-ride, if the delay is long enough long, you can complete the rest of the journey without any sound effects or lights in your vehicle when this happens, your train's capacitor simply ran out of power, so if you haven't already noticed Hagrid's features, many technical components, Every component must be in perfect working order or the ride may fall and crash.
The computer system forces it to shut down safely and increases the complexity: the ride can run with up to 12 trains on the track at a time, meaning that the ride uses these technical components over and over again and also at the same time. time when different trains pass over different parts of the track, for example, when a high-speed switch track slides into place, drop a could be falling while drop b is climbing back into place, three trains could be launched simultaneously on different launches as different brakes. The flaps and tires are activating and, in addition, several trains will inch through the stationary station at a constant speed while the computer tracks their location to the millimeter, so it's a lot of non-stop action at the same time and there is no A single train that ever stops like on a traditional roller coaster, even on a normal roller coaster that runs three trains, usually one or two of them stop at a time, either at the charging station or on the brake directly before the station, but in all Hagrids.
The trains and their operation are constantly in motion, as I mentioned above all simultaneous movement between trains is possible through a large number of block zones placed along the journey to run up to 12 trains at a time. Hagrid's features are a rich block system. The zones shown here are the block zone diagram for the trip. The blocking zones are as follows: mini boost launch 1 brake zone 1 launch 2 launch 3 brake zone 2 launch 4 launch 5 track launch launch six rest zone six waiting one and then waiting two in the station area that they are not actually blocking zones but I will explain that shortly after leaving the station the attraction enters the first launch which is called a mini boost, just a random fact while the park's marketing department considers this section as a launch , the attraction really isn't. t and only considers it a mini boost, hence the name lock zone and because of this the ride only considers there are six pitches not seven, after many boosts the ride continues until pitch 1 which maybe there are Thought it was also released, this release is executed.
Parallel to the attraction's unloading station, this block continues into the next area of the block, which is Brake Zone 1. This is the brake run directly before Hagrid's Hut. The next block starts within Hagrid's height and is part of Launch Block 2. Launch 2 consists of Hagrid's Hut. the actual launch 2 and the entire track leading to launch 3. Launch 3 starts at the next blocking zone and continues up and around braking zone 2, which is where riders find the soft ride and then passes over the first high-speed changing track that places the attraction. In launch block 4, launch 4 features a 70 degree spike that reverses the train backward, then the train passes over the same switch track and reverses towards launch 5.
Launch 5 accelerates the train up and through of a propeller towards the descent ramp building. The 5-block launch zone ends with the brake stroke at the top of the propeller. Next is the downhill track block that can actually hold two trains thanks to the two parallel downhill tracks. After the drop track block is launch block 6 which features the final and fastest launch of the ride at a whopping 50 miles per hour or 80 kilometers per hour. This block continues in the next block. Brake zone 6, which is the first part of the final brake run that brings the train almost to a stop after brake zone 6, is the wait. a block leading to the next unicorn is waiting area 2 and the station area, in quotes, block zones, I say in quotes because they are not actually block zones, these are part of the continuously moving areas of the journey , wait 2 is used to position the trains correctly with the other trains as it transitions to the continuous motion pattern and then the trains continue through the stationary at that constant speed in the same position, but two trains can be waiting simultaneously two at the same time and up to four trains can be stationary at the same time, in a traditional block zone, only one train can occupy a block, but these areas are still secure thanks to the encoder that monitors the location of the trains at all times and, If a stop is called at the station, all continuously moving trains will stop at the same time and once the movement is restarted, the trains will continue the movement simultaneously.
These lockdown zones allow the Hagar motorcycle adventure to operate with a theoretical maximum capacity of 1848 passengers per hour, which means 132 cycles per hour and a dispatch approximately every 27.3 seconds, and this can only occur if the ride operates the 12 trains during the design phase of the journey, it was thought that the maximum capacity would be just over 2000 passengers per hour, this would mean 143 cycles per hour and a dispatch approximately every 25.2 seconds, but once the journey began to operate, It was determined that 2000 users per hour was not entirely possible, as a rod trading nerd, this makes me laugh because it is in line with other instruments with over-promised capacity figures, such as Maverick at Cedar Point, which according to the intimates would have a theoretical capacity of 1200 passengers per hour and is actually capable of 936 or topgold dragster which according to the intimates would make 1500 passengers per hour with 16 passenger trains and even with the larger 18 passenger trains that run today, the trip can only do 1080 passengers per hour at most, but fortunately 1848 passengers per hour is very good, the only problem is that it is only possible with all 12 trains in operation and it is very difficult to run all 12 trains;
It is never actually operated with all 12 trains, although it is open to guests, it actually makes the trip work more. More than 6 trains at a time was a struggle when Hagrid's first opened in June 2019. It could only run up to 6 trains at a time with an hourly capacity of approximately 620 passengers per hour. This was due to several reasons, but basically there were more trains. placed on the track the ride would crash and crash to the point where it would be unusable and even with only 6 trains the ride would still crash and crash anyway, from what I heard universal started the process of reprogramming Hagrid almost every nights to make adjustments. to the trip to improve reliability and make it possible to run more trains, this involved cycling the trip for hours while the programmers made their adjustments over time, universal slowly worked the trip up to 10 train operations and even took advantage of the shutdown time during the pandemic to continue making improvements from what I heard the work was worth it and the ride is capable of reliably running up to 10 trains before the park closure due to the pandemic it was common for the ride to have up to 600 passengers per hour while operating 10 trains, which is very good, but the reason why the trip has not run all 12 trains yet is for several reasons, one is that at this moment the park does not see how it is possible to perform 12 train operations. trains with guests with 12 train operations. the track becomes quite congested with moving trains to keep the 12 trains moving there can be no delays in sending trains from the station a train must continue leaving from thestation approximately every 27.3 seconds so that trains in continuous The moving area will advance enough to allow the next train to enter the area and will also indicate if continuous movement in the station is stopped due to a large passenger who cannot fit in Attraction trains at the station and waiting area. 2 blocking zones will stop moving, this is called a station stop and will stop all movement simultaneously, but trains moving on the actual route will continue to move very quickly.
The next train approaching the stop will be forced to stop at the final brake as well. Then the next train approaching behind that train will be forced to also stop in brake zone 6. The ride quickly runs out of available space on the last brake run, as the station area and the brake paths are not long enough to hold all 12. Because of this, trains traveling on the path are forced to stop at various blocking areas along the path, such as on downhill tracks, the brake before the downhill track at peak reversal and possibly more once a train is forced to stop outside the braking zone. 6 or the last braking run the run has now cascaded a cascade is where trains traveling around the run loop are forced to stop at the nearest checkpoint because the blocking zones ahead have become stuck a Checkpoint is the part of a blocking zone that can actually stop a train, so when the bars cascade down they represent a traffic jam, but for visitors riding the roller coaster this can have a diminishing effect.
In the overall ride experience, the ride is designed to function as a continuous experience, meaning the trains are supposed to keep moving until the last brake stroke, a pause to move mid-ride will leave a pause uncomfortable in the story that diminishes the experience as passengers wait silently for the experience to continue; Additionally, some guests may be frightened by the man stopping the ride and may feel unsafe or threatened by him, while the waterfall is perfectly safe and demonstrates that the blocking zones work properly, many guests who do not know how the rod actually works will fear that something is wrong, which is a universal thing that should definitely be avoided as they always want their guests to sit down.
Sure now that Hagrid is a new attraction, a waterfall isn't as important as, say, a ride like the Big Thunder Mountain Railway at Walt Disney World, which may be forced to close waterfall trains or pile up mid-ride. for more than a few minutes, Hagrid's computer will allow the ride to restart smoothly once movement is allowed again at the station, as long as there are no glitches or glitches along the way, so the Stopped trains will start moving automatically once the blocking zone is cleared ahead, but there is a problem with restarting. Moving after a cascade is very easy to cause a second cascade with 12 train operations.
A waterfall can cause trains to stop mid-ride when the station starts moving again and starts pumping out trains. Trains stopped in the choir cannot resume movement. until the blocking zone ahead is cleared, so that one by one the trains start moving as the blocking zones open, this means that the last train to start rolling again will be furthest from the last braking run but also closer to the next oncoming train that was leaving the station. The train approaching the stopped train may possibly overtake it and cause a second cascade as it is forced to stop mid-ride because the blocking zone ahead is still occupied, as a result the ride hosts must perform a balancing act once they restart the journey afterwards. a cascade in which they dispatch trains at half speed or stop movement when necessary to allow trains stopped on the route to begin moving.
The first cascade can occur once eight or more trains are placed on the track, but the fewer trains on the track, the easier. is to restart the movement after a cascade occurs with the 12 trains on the track cascades become more likely and it is also more difficult to recover from the situation it is also similar with 11 train operations, the trains remain closely linked to each other and there are also little room for error, so the park is determined that as the trip currently 10 trains is the perfect number to operate on the trip, as it offers the best balance between reliability in passenger numbers and also customer service, apparently With 11 or 12 train operations, while this ensures higher ridership, the ride team essentially has to rush guests in and out of the attraction to ensure all trains leave on time, this can lead to quite a few interactions. hostile between the ride hosts and the guests, as the platform can get quite intense with 10 train operations, while the ride hosts still need to rush visitors on and off, something they don't need to do. very aggressively so that guests are more likely not to be bothered by a harsh tour host so that 12 train operations are a real possibility.
There is still a need for further refinement and adjustments to the travel schedule. I heard that 12 trains have only been put on the track once while the ride was operating in a maintenance operations mode, but because the park has not seen 12 train operations as a viable option, I heard that the adjustments were suspended and at the time of recording the focus was on ensuring 10 train operations remain reliable now let's take a look at the two descent tracks found in Hagrid when we travel through the descent track the descent to is a the right and downhill b is on the left, these two downhill tracks are vital to the capacity of the ride, in fact if one of the two downhill tracks are out of service the ride can only run 6 trains at most to add A seventh train or more to the track requires two working drop tracks, this is because the drop tracks themselves require a certain amount of time to drop and then reset to accept the next train if too many trains approach a single one. drop track in operation, the ride will be cascaded, so if the ride only runs with one drop track and six trains, the continuous movement of the station and moving belts actually slows down to about half the speed. speed.
This means that trains leave the station about half as often as when moving at full speed. The downhill tracks are actually one of the reasons why Riot was only able to run 6 trains when it first opened in June 2019 because there was only one downhill track available. to operate now with all the problems hagrids has had since opening, the question arises: did the attraction open too soon and it turns out the answer is a simple yes when universal announced the attraction's opening date in february 2019, which was based on The construction progress of the attraction up to that point had been exceptional.
The opening date was set for June 13, 2019 due to the progress of the attraction and also for another reason in the Harry Potter universe. June 13, 1943 marks the date Tom Riddle aka Voldemort. opens the chamber of secrets and kills mortal warren in the process, also known as moaning myrtle rubius hagrid, the character around whom the journey is based was framed for riddle's attacks and was expelled from hogwarts, as a result, tom Riddle will transform his diary into his first horcrux if you have no idea what I'm talking about you should at least go see the harry potter movies or read the books if you want to know everything so this date marks an extremely important anniversary in the harry universe potter and universal or some other major executive wanted the attraction to open on that date, as the scheduled opening date was getting closer to universal, he knew that the attraction was not actually ready to open and further adjustments and refinements were needed to make the attraction more reliable while operating several trains on the track, but with the opening date set months in advance, thousands and thousands of guests had already booked vacations for that date, so not opening the attraction would have caused a huge disappointment.
The executives basically forced the attraction to open to ensure these thousands of guests. we were not disappointed and also to honor the anniversary date, now it should be mentioned that opening the attraction early was not dangerous if you think that the attraction was able to operate safely but not reliably, this is what led to the huge amount of the downtime the attraction faced during its first months of operation. Fortunately, reliability has improved greatly and I now hear that the attraction spends 97 percent of its time running. Most attraction downtime today is due to weather or guest issues delaying operations.
This is much better. Since the amount of time the attraction was closed in the past, which I'm guessing was closer to 40 percent of the time, it's hard to say which decision made the most sense, but perhaps delaying the opening date of the attraction to ensure that the attraction running more reliably would have been better for the visitor experience as trying to ride the unreliable attraction was extremely difficult, better yet perhaps the official opening date of the attraction should not have been announced so soon as it was and universal should have waited to announce that now, problems aside, Hagrid's motorcycle adventure is one of the smartest roller coasters ever built it's so smart that it practically runs itself without going into too much detail, it's almost like If the ride were completely autonomous and, instead of relying on buttons to give the host control of the attraction, it relied primarily on RFID or radio frequency identification technology, for example, while boarding trains at Hagrid, a ride host stop by to verify that your restraints are locked and in the proper position.
Once your row check is complete, they touch an RFID disc on the left side of the sidecar. This activates the speakers and lights in your row, you will hear the life of the motor rotor and the headlights will turn on for a train to leave the station, all seven rows of the train must be activated, meaning each row must be touched with an rfid disk and there is no send button, the computer simply places the train on the trip path once it is ready, but it is not actually necessary for all the restrictions on the trip to be closed in a minimum position for it to actually be able send trains with the restraints facing up and that's because the restraints at Hagrids have no verified position on modern roller coasters, especially if the ride has lap bars.
A check works by measuring the lowest minimum position at which a restriction should close. To be considered safely locked if all restrictions are not in the lowest verified position, the trip computer does not allow the train to depart. This is done by using sensors on Hagrid. There are markings on the trains and restrictions to indicate that the flat bars have closed. Tour attendants will check these markings to ensure that the restraints are closed enough for safe travel. If the restraints do not close beyond the markings, riders will not be able to ride the motorcycle, a red line runs through the center axis of the lap bar when pulling the lap bar down, this red line should be beyond two black lines on the box from where the lap bar axis extends on the sidecar.
There is a line on the left side of the car. The lap cable should be able to close beyond this. line for the rider to ride once the restrictions of a row are closed beyond the markings, the ride host will touch his rfid disk on the left side of the sidecar and the motors and headlights of the rows will turn on while the ride does not have a physical verification. Using sensors, it relies on its ride hosts to verify that once a train's seven tracks have been tagged for dispatch, the computer will continue to advance the train toward the first curve and then automatically send the train on the ride. .
Once the trains are on the route, the computer automatically transports all moving trains through the route and returns them to the unloading station, but if the seven rows of the train are not tagged in time, the computer will automatically stop the station and just one last piece of informationfunny: The duel that occurs here was not intentional, the fact that this duel occurs is pure luck and in reality this duel only takes place when the ride is running at less than its maximum capacity, when it is running at minimum dispatch times , the train leaving launch 1 will. Be ahead of the train at Launch 2, so while Hagrid's Motorcycle Adventure may not be the tallest, fastest, or most exciting roller coaster, I think it's fair to say that it's one of the trickiest roller coasters we've ever seen.
They exist among the seven moving track sections. launches potential for 12 turn operations and also the fact that no train stops moving, this ride is complex and while none of these concepts are technically new, Hagrids takes them all to the extreme, there are many roller coasters that feature a downhill track while Hagrid features. two of them have many multi-launch roller coasters with two or three launches, while Hagrid has seven of them. There are many roller coasters with one or two switch tracks along the course, while Hagrid's has three and they were all high-speed switch tracks. tracks instead of old, slow ones, the list goes on and ultimately, Universal and Intamin have a lot of guts for what they built.
