ONE MONTH LEFT UNTIL GCSE's | What to do now

Apr 25, 2024
Hey guys, welcome back to another video if you're new here. My name is Elliot aka Study L. There is about 1

month

left

until GCS starts in May and it may seem like 1

month

is a long time to be completely ready for GCSS. but I remember last year that a month went by very, very quickly, so today I am going to share some tips so that you can spend this month as efficiently as possible in terms of accelerating vision and preventing you from doing things that can also make you lose time, so without further ado, let's get into the video.
one month left until gcse s what to do now
The first thing you should do is stop making flash cards unless you are very, very close to finishing every flash card you can make for

what

ever topic you are making flash cards for. stop making them because in 1 month I have never seen it done, you just finish making every flash card you have, there is not enough time. I would say that you focus on getting pre-made decks of flash cards, making only a small number of flash cards or not making any flash cards at all because there is simply no time to spend hours and hours just trying to fit the content onto flash cards and without review the content of them for me.

More Interesting Facts About,

one month left until gcse s what to do now...

I know, in the last month before gccs for english started. literature especially I didn't have time, I didn't make every single flash card I needed for English literature, but I knew I wouldn't have time to do it in just a month, so basically

what

I did was make just a few flash saves. in every act of every play I was doing or every book or novel and I just used the flash cards I had for them instead of making every flash card I needed for them and that still helped me a lot during the exam. Other than that, making flashcards is just a waste of time at this point, so stop doing it unless you're really close to finishing second.

You should start using all the previous works that you were not using before. I have given many. Tips on how past papers are one of the most effective ways to revise for exams. Obviously, I've always said that you shouldn't use past work to review your grades because that might be what really came up in that mock in the first place. and you also didn't want to waste all the previous papers you had for Marks instead of the real ones, but now that the real gccs are approaching in just a month, it's time to go through all the possible exams for each single topic for each subject you are in doing for example there are just years and years of maths past papers so you need to go through each one of them, that is the best way to ensure you have enough practice for each of your gcsc subjects and you need to do these things in time conditions in a calm environment. you need to replicate the gcsc style of taking an exam this way, you will be much, much more prepared when the time actually comes. gcsc, this advice also applies to predicted jobs.

I don't know many websites that do predicted work. I know first class math does. I don't know if you have to pay for them. I know Primrose Kitty does. I know you have to pay for them and I don't really know any other website that does predicted jobs, but if you can find predicted jobs or if you can ask your teacher to find some for you, that will also be very helpful because you need as much practice as you can get. that you can get and the predicted papers are best practice considering your predictions of what might actually come up in your GCC exams and that's really useful obviously for practice papers for things like English language or literature;
You can't grade them yourselves, you just hand them over to your teachers and let them mark it for you and then you basically just get feedback on all those papers and you learn from them and you learn fast because again I'm going to keep saying it, but it's a month and it will end. very quickly, this also applies to practice essays, you don't have to do full papers, you can also do essays in the time that is FM and hand them to your teachers and Mark now, at this point, I hope you can Know all the content and you just need to keep reviewing it, but if you're not sure or if you really have a lot of content on a specific topic, you need to brush up on the best way to review a lot of content. specific topics is to use senica for any topic or Cognito for Science in terms of Cognito, check every video they have on their website, not the YouTube channel on the website, and after that video there are always some questions that it doesn't take a lot of time watch the video, actively remember the questions because you're actively trying to remember information when you answer those questions, that's a perfect review, move on to the next video and then do it again and again and again. for every thing you have for any topic where you need more practice in terms of content or you can do this for senica but also for the scientist, but then senica you can also use for any topic and that's basically going over every little detail.
What they have for each topic in a topic and it's just mixed in with Lo's active recall of content and fun ways that you can review and learn a lot of content without having to do much and that's a nice thing to be able to do. in this month we have something else, I know many of you will probably have cgp books if you have the practice books specific to the cgp books, there is no way you will finish those practice books. I wouldn't believe them if they said they had that. just more practice for you, get into the cgp practice books and answer all the questions they have on any topic you are struggling with, any topic you need more time on and go ahead and do it.
I will make another video for 2 weeks. before gcc, which will focus more on revising the subjects that are ranked first in the first half of your gcc because there is a half before the semester and then another half after the semester, but for now, whatever the subjects are with that you have difficulties. You are weak, you need to go and do the practice questions on those topics and cgp is just a great resource and I definitely know that none of you have completed all the practice questions there, so answer those practice questions. really helpful, that's basically all the tips I had for this video.
My next video is going to be how to get ahead in English language or literature or how to have the motivation to actually study because obviously I know a lot of you are going to struggle with that. getting the motivation to do all the things I always tell you to do first, so I'll give you some tips to counteract that, although I'm also a big business procrastinator all the time, so yeah, that's pretty much it. Make sure to like and subscribe if you like the video and want more tips that I'll give you in the future and I'll see you in the next one.
