One Dip Makeup Challenge!

May 30, 2021
Hello James Charles sisters, here and welcome back to my YouTube channel. It's been a hot minute since we did a

makeup

challenge

, but today we're gearing up for battle because the

makeup

challenge

queen herself, nikkietutorials, has challenged me to do the one. dip makeup challenge wow try and pretend i just said challenge in the intro you know who probably killed this challenge james charles i know his butt would make this beautiful one tip makeup challenge is self explanatory , you basically get one dip in every product you use and you have to make it work for your entire face, so when it comes to foundation, instead of doing 50 different squirts to get really full coverage, you get one instead of dipping into different ones.

Eight different eyeshadow colors to accumulate. that pigmentation and color you only get one and you have to make it work for both eyes. I'm definitely someone who loves to apply and layer makeup over and over again, so without further ado, let's jump in or dive in. but, um, the one-bath makeup challenge that wasn't as fun as I thought, okay guys, so let's go ahead and get started, oh Jesus, obviously these should never be taken too seriously, but as long as It's about this kind of thing, I have to come up with a little strategy, let's go ahead and start with my manual first and I'll tell you as I do this squirt that I definitely want to focus on using a lot. of cream and liquid products for today because I feel like they are going to go much further than any product related to full coverage powders, creams and liquids that you can blend and blend, light coverage that you can't add to, makes any I have Feeling like I have to use products that can anyway, next I'm going to grab the Huda Beauty Foundation in the shade Custard.

More Interesting Facts About,

one dip makeup challenge...

Honestly, I've never used this foundation before. I know a lot of people love it, it's a cult classic and it's also extremely complete. coverage, that's why I grabbed it today because I only get one squirt, so it was a nice juicy squirt, okay, I'm just going to dip my finger in, oh, I forgot to color correct, oh, I'm already wasting product when it comes to tubes. If it's a dive, would I like to get it right? Yeah, I feel like it's pretty easy, to be honest, there's a ton of product there. I feel like the products in the tubes, like the color corrector, lip gloss, and concealer, will be really easy.

Just because they contain a lot of product in the tube, I also put on a lot of this color concealer and I literally barely have foundation to cover it. I'm not really thinking this through very well, let's try this now, okay, base definitely. this one here, oh I had to put part of my neck in, okay, let's try to mix this up now and see how some people cover their entire face with just one pump. This is not good, oh no, oh no, oh my god, I really thought it was. I'm going to finish this off okay let me try a little bit of concealer so let's see there's a lot there like this is fair game yeah a little there a little there a little there a little there a lot over here it is well, this is definitely helping already.

Wow, we really love the next step of the shaping tape, now it's time to contour normally. I use my Anasazi powder contour kit, you know, but I really feel like that was going to be a mistake since it's not going to go very far, so I'm going to do it. to be strategic and use a little more shaping tape concealer like my contour today, so I have to be careful, and then the nose is okay too, oh god, this is a scream, there's a stupid vein on my forehead right here , that's so manly of me that it's making me angry. the outline looks even more unblended than it already is, yeah why is it there, how do you get rid of that?
It just looks so dirty, okay, when it's time for the dust, now let's get this in its place before it's too late. I'm, oh, I wonder. If I want to do other cream things now, I'm going to give it a nice generous bath, great just mixing all of this together to focus on most of the powder and my T-zone, which is what gets sweaty and oily the most, and then use the excess of that puff to set the outside of the face. Well, that little trick actually worked, thank goodness, so now that I've applied my loose powder and set my face in place, my next step is always one more round of powder, but it's like a pressed face powder, so I guess which is fair to do for this challenge, but of course we're only going to get wet once, so I'm going to take a brush and wet it once it's done.
I'm going to bring the brush up to remove some of the excess product, but I don't think I should because this is an opportunity to tidy up the face a little bit. Now is the time to blush. I'm going to grab my Mac Peaches which is my favorite blush blush here we go my favorite mac peaches blush maybe I shouldn't take an orange blush because I already look orange I'm going to take a pink okay I'm going to take the kylie blush in the shade in batty Instead, on the block, I really love this soft pink.
Yes, it will be a little better. You just take a bath. Normally I'd be sitting there like I'm going to change the brush now, but just to give an example, you know? instead, let's take this one, let's see clean, this is not the worst thing I blocked, certainly not the best, what is the worst. Now it will be brow time, so normally you guys know I live for a good brow powder. I think it looks so beautiful and natural. Okay, but today we're going to take a nice trip down memory lane and grab the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in the medium brown shade.
This used to be my holy grail product that I used to use like a damn jar of these a week. when I was doing my makeup I described a new one, so it's nice and creamy. Now, luckily for me, I obviously have very, very thick eyebrows, so I don't need to fill them in too much, but I'm going to try to do them. this work is fine, I'm going to go ahead and just hang on to this, can you expand on it? There's a lot there, yeah, okay, I'll start with the tails first because that's where I need the most pigment, oh god, this is it. freaking me out and bring it right over here, so one tail is ready, now I need to do the other tail, yeah, I mean, this is okay, okay, now I'm just going to use the excess product to fill in the rest of the eyebrow.
I mean, yeah, those eyebrows are gorgeous. Well guys, the eyebrows are finished and from using just one dip of the product, I honestly think they look pretty good. Of course, they could use some more cleaning, like this is something that really bothers me. I can't do anything about it now, I'm just trying to move on to the part that excites me the most but at least also gives me confidence and that will be the greeting for this challenge today as it is Nikki's challenge. I'm going to use the new ella nikkietutorials x beauty bae palette. The shades here are so beautiful, unfortunately I won't be able to dive too deep into them today, but we'll do our best to make a look with one. dip I'm really discouraged I love doing makeup talents because a lot of the time I'm good at it so this one is like it has nothing to do with that skill really this is just not good so in this challenge Nikki said you can use more than one eyeshadow, so it's not like I'm literally doing a dip in one color and calling it a day, but you do get a dip for both eyes, so normally when I do a makeup routine. do an eye on camera and then an eye off camera just to save time and just because my brain works easier that way, I like to complete one project and then work on another project, but with this I'm going to have to do both eyes at the same time.
Now I'm going to take an m456 brush first and dip into the shadow cutter, this is going to be my outer corner color. Okay, I'm going to put this here and here. Oh wow, thank goodness Nikki made a pigmented shadow. Yes, okay, and now with that excess. I'm going to keep patting and lightly blending this oh yeah yeah nicki thank you so much this actually totally saved. Okay, now I'm going to take a fluffier brush and dip into some mila, which is the room shade brown and I'm going to dust this right on top of the cutter, okay, I'm going to come back with the other brush even though I didn't add any product to it, I didn't add any extra dip, I'm going to use the excess and try to add a little bit more of that slasher in there, I forgot it through the bottom lashes, I'm just going to do a different color, yeah, I'll do a little bit. of pop, a little touch, touch, I really understood.
I'm going to take an m441 brush and dive into Redemption and really tickle this brush right in the crease to warm it up a little bit. You know, okay, this looks pretty good so far. Definitely not. I'm mad about that, to be honest, I need to grab a big brush, I'm going to grab the Roxy Katan shadow, it's a nice dip there, no, oh my gosh, okay, I'm also going to grab some ivy and add it. I like the inner area just to make that cut like a little bit more there now for the bottom lashes.
I definitely think I want to give it a nice pop of color. I'm going to take a nice, dense brush and grab some honestly. I think I'm going to use mom's tutorials, so it's a nice thick dip and I'm going to do it. That was a mistake. Amsterdam, let's try this. Well, maybe it wasn't my best moment for the last step of the look. I think it would be nice to do a little pop of color in the inner corner, so I'm going to take a little flat top pencil brush and dip it in blah, I mean, okay, it's got a ton of pigment, oh my gosh, it's well, that looks great.
I'm happy with that, well guys all eyes are on and now you look honestly really cute. I'm very happy with how this turned out. Now it's time for mascara and of course we're just going to take a bath so I'm going to grab it. The benefit of roller lashes I'm really going to concentrate most of the mascara on my bottom lashes because I'm going to put on false lashes. I was actually able to get my lashes full with just one dip, come on, don't be shy, stick some on. more beautiful okay now it's highlighter time and I'm going to dip into one side of my palette, but I get a squirt of setting spray during this challenge and I think I want to use it now to give the highlighter something.
To continue, I'm going to use my Mac Fix Plus Gold, which I love, but sometimes I'll say these sprays or, for example, one isn't full so I'll spray it a few times and then point it at my face when it's full that makes sense. , okay, now I'm going to grab my highlighting brush, like dig in there, cheekbone, cheekbone, forehead, forehead, whatever is left on the nose for the lips, today I'm going to use this dose of colors that lipstick in the shade Berry Me, which is selected by Drew to match the rest of the eye look, so I'm actually going to bring it out, that's a dip, okay, you guys will usually do it at the end of the video while I say something. along the lines of, well, after several hours of mixing or after several hours of doing makeup or after a lot of work, this however is the complete opposite because this is probably the fastest makeup tutorial I've ever done, I didn't realize I realize how much time I have to spend soaking in products, but I think this is the one-bath makeup challenge, all complete when Nikki first invited me to the challenge, I was definitely feeling a little nervous just because she and I are real lovers of the makeup that we are very used to.
Doing multiple dips in products and just applying a lot of makeup to get to that end result we all know and love, and even looking in the mirror now I'm definitely not the happiest with my face. I still think it looks pretty stained. but I will say that the brows, eyeshadow and lips really pulled off a complete look and I think I'm happy with the results.
