Football is behind us, we can really start to remember the guys who have impressed me the most on college campuses this year. There's someone I immediately think of when I think of college football's top prospects, 61-12 Arizona, and this is a guy who has shown absolutely incredible speed in his ball games this fall, his closing speed combined with his Quick feet and hands have explored salivating over his potential. Olon is another guy who is starting to make some noise with an excellent senior season, he was virtually unknown. in this year, but people are starting to project that they will have a solid career in the NFL.
I'm starting to get on the bandwagon too, so that'll do it for now, but I expect a lot of things to happen between now and April, so that's what I'm about to do, but before we go, I'm going to throw some game balls at my friends. icularly cruel to these guys well you said it Dan, I have really had a tough time on the road so far this season, they hope they can change their luck in the today's game look how it goes and now let's go down to the TOS coin heads tails Chris Brown kicks there's the signal and we're ready it's time for jet football Brown kicks it to start the game Jordan decides to take him out of the end zone back at 25 a long time Jordan took him out from the end zone and while it may have been a little risky, it comes out close to the 20, so everything comes into view on that play, the Jets send their offense down the field and will start this drive on their own line 25 yard Buble, Texans have the touchdown Texans, yeah, Kylie Wong gets the ball loose here, they pick it up and it rumbles for the touchdown.
What a monstrous play by the defense. Peter, there are many ways. you can start a drive but a turnover wasn't one of them oh definitely not it was a great round of play to try for the extra point Chad Stanley now the point after and the extra point is good it's good Chris Brown kicking for the Texans, the referee receives the signal and we are ready, Brown kicks it. Jordan catches him at both crosses of the field and finally runs out of bounds in the 33rd minute. Jordan saw a great opportunity in the defense and simply ran with it recording a lot of yards for his team.
Martin removes his hand and runs into traffic attacked the ball carrier early and didn't even let him return to the line of scrimmage. They stopped this play behind the line of scrimmage. Very good call by the defensive coordinator, Dan agreed. they had it all locked up bring the second down the boss catches the bullet to the left and picks up maybe 11 Chad Pennington made this pass beautifully making defense irrelevant when you can make accurate throws like that the whole field starts to open up for You do a great job moving the ball and getting to a third-and-short situation.
This is a critical play for this advancement. Yeah, now Dan, they can just fall forward and make the play sound easy. Peter, but we'll see if they can pull it off. On this run Dan, everything went perfectly, look at the fluidity of the running style, there is no wasted movement, what a great effort to get it into the end zone. Peter, yeah, that's how to play the game at 110% now, the next point and it's. the extra point is good, the referee gets the signal and we are ready, there were explosions of beauty here Dugin decides to take it out of the end zone it stopped at the 17 Ron Dugan decided not to take it down but he couldn't even get to the 20 which can affect first his Christmas present from his special teams coach and 10 Houston the Texans offense will start this drive at their own 17 yard line Ferguson tackles him behind the line of scrimmage Jason Ferguson likes to cover things up down there 63 305 and a real talent for stuffing the run, knows how to pack a punch in the backfield, believe me Davis gets the call again and maybe picks one up on the play, okay, okay, Bab Baxter catches in the CL and is looking space.
Jumps in the 21 Abraham will be credited with the entry on the right side, it will be fourth down. Stanley finishes to clear after the three and leaves. Stanley takes the center and clears it. The boss places the punt at the 40, tackle at the 40. Yes, I bring it. Santana Moss gets some kudos from her special teams coach for this. He sees that he makes the catch and now he's going to get more good yards and help his team with field position. Good game. The Jets have a shortstop. and will start this drive at the 40 yard line. Rer catches it down the middle and number 89, that's good for a gain of five.
Aaron Glen with tackle Jericho Ker had a defender nearby but he was able to catch him and they moved the ball. and it will be a second down W tackles him behind the line of scrimmage Kylie Wong targeted the ball carrier early and didn't even let him get back to the line of scrimmage that's his second tackle so far third down empty Back Field well, Dan, we have an empty backfield Five receivers and the defense is on their dime, let's see how he eventually slides down on the first down 25, they get good yards from this Dan and they do it in several good ways, good line blocking, good blocking on the field and a clever run to boot, good play.
Martin takes his fourth carry of the game and will gain about six seconds and three balls at the 19. Martin gets his number called on the second try and heads left. H down on the five, it will be first and goal good, that last play had several good things going for it, initial rise from the line, block downfield and a beautiful run, good decision, good run, Peter and he's putting together some stats very good, it definitely has 75 yards so far. five carries first and two two tight ends in the game hennington PS: this with a rope and statistics, he is caught in the three Chad Pennington made this pass wonderfully making defense irrelevant when you can make accurate throws like that, the whole field starts to open for You're a decent play and now they'll face second and short, will you make a shot here?
Well, there are a lot of options in this situation, but it may not be that the Texans send a five-man rush on this play, the offense doesn't know what to do. Let's look and capture them. Wow, they backed them up and now they're making it a little harder on a third try. Yes, good defensive game. Dan, let's see if you can stay strong for this third-and-goal at Hennington. shoot this one down the middle and get caught just short of the markers, however, that will bring the fourth and the goal and that will do for fourth number one and we're all tied, come on, it's not easier anymore, look at the pass here . to his receiver, he's ready for the touchdown.
I love seeing great plays like this again, it's great the first time, but it's really sweet on repeat. I can't get enough of this action, what a tremendous display of athleticism now, now, the extra. point and the extra point is good is good there is the signal and we are ready Brian kicks this Wells Fields the kickoff at one breaks a tackle knocked down at 24 Peter interesting order for the division is not there oh, you can bet first and 10 Houston, the Texans stopped early on the last drive and we will have to wait and see what happens here, they will start at their own 24 yard line.
Carr shoots from the left side and falls incomplete. John Abraham came up from the zone and forced the incomplete pass that had potential for some yards, Peter, but the defense was on top and closed it out, good denial, second down, number 37 arrived, all carrier, Sam with the package here Come on, let it go, down, single, back, Carr passes one high and long and they get the first on third and the long Andre Johnson gets pressured by two defenders on this play, but he still gets the ball, oh, that's it pure skill, you can't train, that was the first time they looked long.
In this game the question is why Coach Edwards is not happy with that decision and is going to challenge it. The New York Jets are questioning whether the pass was caught inbounds. This is their first challenge of the game and even if they lose this one they still have one. The challenge left Dan when we watch the replay here, we should be able to see if the catch was made before going out of bounds. I'd call it sketchy, it doesn't look like he's got both feet in me, but we'll do it. watch what they say after the pass has been ruled incomplete the catch was made out of bounds New York Jets will not receive a timeout on fourth down he likes the call and I'm sure he has the feeling he knew it all along Stanley lines up for the p Santana Moss to make the return Stanley takes the ball and punts it Moss takes it at the 31 tackle at the 42 Santana Moss did a good job getting some yards after Fielding the solid punt, the Jets will start a series with the lead For the first time in this game, they will start at the 42-yard line and make the catch toward the left complete pass.
Anthony Beck easily outplayed his defender on that catch and had thatplayed at all times, they moved the ball and that's how it will be. be the second down Martin runs it at tackle and picks up the first down guy, they get some good yards from this Dan and they do it with a lot of good weights, good blocking line, good blocking downfield and a slick run To boot, good game, nice. second down and they'll move the chain that the offense is always an advantage to avoid the third down together, just like that first down with the right tight end, Glenn tips it into incomplete coverage, it looks like, yeah, we've had an injury. down on the field as soon as we hear something we'll be sure to pass on the information looks like your neuro pretty second and 10 the ball at 45 1 Martin gets moving hennington throws a bullet into the ground and it's complete at 40 three stopped at the 29th that will bring the first down Jer keeps the

part

y going after making the catch right here and now he's looking for more coaches love receivers who believe their job is just beginning when he makes the catch great job fighting for that first down that he didn't waste at all moment, well, just because the pass doesn't make it to the markers doesn't mean you can't execute it the rest of the way.
He is a true competitor. Baker makes a tough catch and picks up four on the play. Chad Pennington played the pass perfectly to zero. on his man despite the coverage you know it's all about precision in that situation second down five yards to go Martin gets his seventh carry of the game and makes the first down Curtis Martin took advantage of a really good block there they opened a hole and it's able to cross the line and get a bunch more without much resistance and that's what the line gets paid for or Maron gets the call again and takes it on the field tackled at the 11 it looks like, yeah, we've had an injury on the field as soon as we hear something, we'll make sure to pass on the information to take the second and the three.
B, the 11 will remove the hand and the left heads will be tackled at the six, it will be the first and that's it. he looks at those numbers, that's how it's done on the ground. Co will take the carry on first down and chew some four on the play. BR with the tackle, make it 59 up. Pennington throws a bullet to the floor and is caught. It's going to be a turnover on the play though, Aon Glen targeted the ball carrier early and didn't even let him get back to the line of scrimmage, which will be his fourth tackle and he's hitting hard in the secondary so it's making them think twice. before going his way, Martin catches this one and that's a touchdown.
Che Chad Pennington makes an excellent completion in double coverage. Wow, that's a confident QB. Peter, that's his first touchdown pass of the game. How good are the stats looking so far? He's got 65. yards and two touchdowns here's the point after and the point is good the referee gets the signal and we're ready Ryan kicks this Wells Fields to the seven at the 30 Jonathan Wells got a very respectable return that good kickoff, Dan , thank you, thank you, thank you, no, the Texans offense has to score here. This series will begin at their own 30 yard line. The receivers line up as the defense positions itself in a nickel pack.
Davis picks up about two and that brings. second try, Linson was shaken before and I heard Susie Culber has a report for us Susie, thanks Dan, the trainers just informed me that he has a bad headache at the moment they are treating him right now, they hope he recovers . Getting back to this, back to you, it's the Jets' first sack, let's go to defense, look at those numbers from last year, that's some great production. Carr passes this one to the left sideline and is intercepted between the 31st man. I'm coming, I'm under fire in the backfield, I think that pushed him to throw a bad pass for the interception that will increase his season interception stats by a period, but you know he's been average overall, yeah, that's probably little consolation for him, even though the Jets will try to take advantage of the interception, they'll start this drive at the 31-yard line. kette grabs the fastball up the middle and tries to get tackled freely and the clock will keep ticking.
Wayne Corette had two boys. on him on that play, but they still make the catch, they move the ball and it will be a second down, a second down with a split Back Field. Hennington throws a PLL to the ground and the ball is caught on 27 Chad Pennington, three awkward. he looked for the pass with his left foot, but it didn't matter, he still completed another short pass and he likes the rush of the field so far and why he hasn't had success there, catches touchdown touch Chad Pennington completes excellent in double coverage here. Wow, that's a confident quarterback giving up his second touchdown of the day and he's definitely making his presence felt out there and on the scoreboard.
Here's the bonus point and the bonus point is yeah, yeah, hey, hey, play this for everyone. game there's the signal and we're ready Brian Rockets this safety Wells Downs this in the end zone for a Touchback the Texans offense takes the field with the clock at 16 he throws a bullet hard and it's IT incomplete incomplete Sam card came in and got one hand on that ball and left no chance of a catch there that had potential for some yards Peter but the defense was on top and closed it down good denial there comes the second down 2 mckin makes a play on this and forces the incomplete Ray Mickens came in and got a hand on that ball and left no chance of a catch there, if it had been completed that would have made a third down a little shorter, but the defense had another idea, anticipation of a shot was key here , he did all the pieces fall into place third down going up Carr throws a bullet here and falls incomplete Jabar Gaffney had that ball in his hands on that play and then he just dropped it the incompletions keep piling up and even here in the second quarter not happening It seems like they aren't improving at all, they just aren't getting it done, timing, protection routes, nothing.
Stanley takes the snap and hits it deep, brought down on facemask number 39, offense 45, 15-yard penalty from the foul spot first. down the Jets have another chance to score and they are in command the offense takes the field and begins this drive at the 46 yard line hennington makes the long pass and it is incomplete and that will be enough for the first half of this the Jets in command of this 28 -7 and now we'll send you over to Chris Burman in our studios in Bristol for the ESPN halftime report Boomer, okay danana, we'll get back to you in a moment, welcome everyone to the ESPN halftime show.
I'm Chris Burman, now we'll look at our halftime comparison and as you can see the total yards definitely tell the story so far, the Jets are winning because of it, let's see if they can maintain their dominance in the second half, let's get started. this one at the beginning of the first quarter Junior I just comes out big here when he takes off and is in the right place for the comeback touchdown for the Texans, the Texans attack first and go up the jet by seven after recovering a fumble on their own . 41-yard line Curtis, my favorite Martin, got the ball here and you know, this was all an individual effort and she busted a big 58-yard touchdown for the Jets.
The Jets now, at the beginning of the second quarter, tied it at seven, all Chad Pennington found a little bit. opening and that was all the Texans needed later in the second David Carr would drop back and throw a strike on this Texans back 14-7 Curtis my favorite Martin would find a way to get open and the pass hit the money four yard touchdown for the Jets, the Jets now led by 14 Texans in the second quarter. David Barrett would make the big play to kill a drive, as he was able to step in front of a wayward pass to an approaching INT jet. at the end of the half the Jet led by 14 Chad Pennington would find his target in this one and that's where we'll leave it, the Jets are up at halftime 28 to S and as far as my halftime hero goes, there's really no contest, Curtis.
My favorite Martin has been Unstoppable, so we'll take it from here. We'll send you back now to Dan Stevens and Peter O'keef. Dan, thanks Chris. Today's game was presented with ESPN's game sound, designed and developed in collaboration with Dolby, the leader. In surround technology, the Texans will get the ball first here in the second half and will need a ton of scoring to get back into this one. They are currently losing 28-7. Now let's go to the Wells Fields game, the second one. half kickoff at 11 breaks a tackle well footer some interesting information on the screen oh you can bet well the turnover column has grim news in my opinion if you want to win you have to hold on to the ball let's get Susie down cber who has an update for us Susie thanks Dan's head coach Dom Capers spoke to me at halftime and was noticeably upset with how his defense handled the run.
He said we're putting up as much resistance as a wet paper bag and he's definitely planning something. adjustments in the second half has fire in his eyes, let's see if he extends to the team of him, friends, Susie, Carr throws a beauty to the right side and leans in incomplete second and 10 balls at the Tex 29-yard line. Abraham bows him. away in sketchy coverage Donnie Abraham managed to disrupt the stuff he put in there and hit that pass really deep, a good defensive play will get him his second B ball of the game, yeah, great read, third down, one man back with Abraham. sacks him again at the 26 joh Abraham comes in intact on this play and just hits the quarterback Andy where was the offensive line Dan?
Did they just give up? Oh that quarterback is going to be pointing the finger at that Peter who actually got after the quarterback in this game, oh you can say that again so far he has two tackles and two sacks Stanley takes the long snap and hits this deep boss gets caught at the 28 comes out at the 47 Santana Moss took the sting out of that killer punt by choosing put up a ton of yards on the run back, you can't coach, that broke the aie, so AE, the offense of the Jets takes the field and they have good field position again, they will start at their 47 yard line.
Hennington throws a bullet to the ground and is complete for a three yard gain Pennington showing off some precision passing Dan is clearly exploiting the short game so far and has 88 yards and three touchdowns second second down two receivers left 50 yards L crosses the line and hit Bary picks up the first down boy they get good yardage from this Dan and they do it in several good ways, good line block, good field block and a nifty run to boot, good play, good second down and they will move the chains. On offense, it was always an advantage to avoid the third down all together like that, look at the numbers generated on the field, that's impressive.
Martin gets the call on the first down and heads left, he actually gets tackled at the 23, it will be the first down, he watches. this race, man, everything went perfectly, look at the fluidity of the running style, there is no wasted movement, what a play, what a run. Peter and his numbers are adding up, adding up to a big number, so far he has 128 yards on 11 carries. Martin ducks this exit to the right and picks up about four on the play with the tackle on second down, only one receiver on the field. Hennington fires this one up the middle and is knocked off the receiver incomplete.
Expected receiver Aaron Glen in coverage. we need a third and five ball at the 19 back back check go 51 check go the boss catches it up the middle they get the first on third and long Santana Moss has a small crowd of defenders working on him and he still makes the catch, there it is The capture and there were three guys around, they said that bad things come in three, but that didn't seem like it was bad at all, maybe a little annoying, but definitely not bad. The balls are coming at him down the middle and he's making them pay.
I like his performance so far, so I like any receiver to go up the middle and sacrifice his body to make the catch. Hennington throws a heater down the right sideline and doesn't stagger incomplete with the great coverage 25 black 61 black 6 they could. I didn't connect on this incomplete number 86 Chris Baker had that ball in his hands on that play and then he just dropped it, that's his first drop of the game and while every drop hurts, you can't put too much blame on him for that. That would have been a tough catch. Hennington throws a bullet to the floor and they can't connect.
Chris Baker incomplete looked like he had a solid catch there and yet somehow found a way to drop it. That's his second fall and he can't be happy. With that, sometimes the ball bounces your way and sometimes it doesn't exactly make it to the fourth down, it goes through the goal post. Well, Doug Bryan makes a short easy throw, a clean kick, don't worry, which is the first time today they come out of the Red. Zone with only a field goal to show for it, you know, in general, Dan, the defense has to be happy with how it played out, ref gets the signal and we're set, Brian blows up a beauty here, Dugans decides to take him off the end.
Dr area down at 17Ron Dugans took it out of the end zone and while it may have been a little risky, it comes out close to the 20 so it all comes to light on that play first and 10 the Texans will start this first play of the drive on their own Y line 17 years old, Davis takes it for his fifth carry and passes the tackle line at the second 19 and eight ball at the Tex 19-yard line. Carr throws this to the left sideline and is hit away from the incomplete receiver David Barrett took care of his part of the field during this play he plays the zone perfectly and breaks up the pass.
He looks at this, yes, and the pass falls incomplete. It's great coverage on the second down. They try to get the first, but the defense plays it well. That's going to create some good pressure on third down at that point, third down, three wide outs in the game with the sack. Abraham gets the sack at the 13, fourth down. Stanley lines up deep into his own territory to clear him. Stanley receives the center. and hits this deep Moss Fields the Deep punt at the 40 the 45 return of 23 on the first out at the 36 well Peter there's interesting information on the screen oh you bet you look at the results of the drive and you can see what they are achieve it and have hit the ball into the end zone.
Good work so far. The Jets start this drive in excellent field position at the 36-yard line. Chief catches missile cast is good for six holding defense number 56 5-yard penalty automatic first down Jay Foreman tries to contain his man on this play and ends holding it, that's going to draw a flag, let's look oh yeah, easy defensive call holding first and 10 first downs two open starts on the field He drops it hard on the 20th it will be the first down Martin will remove his hand and face the field stopped in the 12 Eric Brown with tackle Curtis Martin stays close to his blockers here and that works for Peter, what a good pickup. to take them to a second and short situation, yes, great play and now they have a lot of options on what to try next and that will be enough for the third quarter, the Jets leading this one 31 to 7 from the northeast and west party and so hit this one left of center and maybe pick one up on the play Peter unfortunately we've had some players hit so far unfortunately very well those are big setbacks up there but unfortunately this is to be expected players can't lose time worrying about getting hurt, you just have to go out there and play hard and hope for the best third downs in the game.
Martin will be able to continue with the third attempt and will not reach the markers that he will have. be fourth down Doug Bryan to make the 29 yard attempt on fourth down and the field goal is on the field Brian from 29 yards and it's good, there's the signal and we're ready Brian kicks at Wells Fields the kickoff at six BR three downed at the 26 Jonathan Wells got that nice kick and a little run after the catch, good job first and 10 Houston, the Texans haven't gotten much out of their offense recently and we'll see if they can get back on track.
Here this drive begins at its own 26-yard line. Carr fires hard up the middle and leans into incomplete second and 10 balls at the Texans' 26-yard line. Single Johnson catches the heater on the left sideline and is on touch 40 10 and it's in. for the touchdown, Andre Johnson is going to make a great play right here catches the ball and then really turns the juice on Peter, I'm sure he's happy to bring that to you. One of the last three passes to him has been incomplete, yes, it is. struggling a little bit there, but this can try the extra point Chad Stanley holding on now the extra point the extra point is good, it's good, they're getting ready for the onside kick.
Brown bounces it very well and picks it up at 41 tackled at 40 GNE. first and 10, the Jets offense takes the field, they are in command and will probably look to take time off the clock, they will start at the 40 yard line. Pennington takes it from the left side and does not recover incomplete. Chad Pennington is checking his receivers to find the open man and that is evident when reviewing the box here. Look at the short passes and how that allowed him to rack up 104 yards and three touchdowns on second and 10 balls at the 40-yard line. Martin takes this path to the left. and picks up a couple with the third and seven tactic wow those are good stats way to carry the ball 21 Che Go 21 smithi with the sack the Texans send three guys everyone else backs up the coverage and still gets their man to play well look this well, it looks like three was all they needed, they hold their ground and force a loss of yardage, which will lead to a difficult 4th and long Power Ball at the 41, this one falls incomplete and they will hand the ball off to the intended receiver.
Marcus Coleman with the coverage and that's why I love this game so much, just look at everything that's going on there, big moves, big hits, smart coaches, everything that's going on, these are the kind of plays that make football the best game of the world. Without a doubt, the Texans offense takes the field and they can take advantage of the defensive stop. They will begin this drive at their 41-yard line. Carr makes the pass and it is incomplete. The second down tight end to the left makes a play on this. and forces the incomplete pass Eric straight up squatted that one away cleanly the receiver didn't have a prayer to get that one you know as a team they're hitting passes left and right that's their sixth so far wow great anticipation of the pass Carr just shoots this one and he gets caught in the 49, you might as well give us the ball now, oh you know you're not going to make it a Down Johnson, he lets it go and they'll hand it over, what a costly mistake Andre Johnson looked like.
It was a shoe-in to have a reception there, ah, but appearances can be deceiving. Just drop that one they don't convert on fourth down. Peter pretty much crushed any hope of a fourth quarter comeback, yes they needed at least a field goal. After that, let's just say a comeback is going to be very difficult, the Jets were stopped on fourth down last time, we'll see what happens when they start this drive at the 49 yard line. Cory Sears forced the offense back a few yards with a excellent catch in the backfield, which will be his first catch of the game, and sharper deflection into incomplete coverage.
Sharper Jamie came in and got his hand on that ball, leaving no chance of a catch there on second down. They try to make the first, but the defense plays it well, which will create good pressure on the third down, when Hennington passes this and is caught just past the markers for a first defense number 24, the penalty has decreased in the first attempt 10 yards for Come on, B makes a play on this and, for the inning, Jason B hit that one cleanly, the catcher had no chance to get that which is his fourth batted ball. I'm telling you we've seen several good defensive plays from this. team that we have for sure, we'll see if they can keep it up, although Martin picks up about two and that will generate a third down, the third down comes, the clock is 158 Moss catches him on the floor and the timeout falls first and 10 first downs and this is the 7th play of the drive the ball is loose the tsons have it Eric Brown takes a penalty hit to the ball carrier there and turns the ball over for the fumble a big tough defensive play which is the second ball forced fumble from the game and the defense is making it clear that you better hold the ball, yes the thing is they are trying, we just saw some monster hits, the Texans start this drive of the game from well in their own territory and the clock at 149 D second down from the eye Carr sticks his arm in this one and doesn't wobble incomplete Victor Hopson was on that fly ball on that last play Like Glue man, he knew where the pass was going and stopped it incomplete CH down intercepted a man to beat and score Reggie Tong takes the ball and goes all the way, no one can stop him man.
I hope his mom has the VCR making another touchdown and this lead is insurmountable with the clock running domination Dan domination here's the extra point and the extra point is good, the referee gets the signal and we're ready Brian Rockets this safety Welles decides to take him out of the end zone stopped at the 22 Jonathan Wells came out near the 20 at that time his decision to take him out of the end zone didn't really pay off, but it didn't hurt him first and 10 the Texans start this game drive from well in their own territory and the clock at 131 Carr shoots this one over the middle and is tipped incomplete T.
Reggie Tong put himself in prime position to reject that ball before the receiver even had a throw that had potential for some yards, Peter, but the defense was on top and closed out a good denial in the second. down going up second down the clock stops at 127 is intercepted and stops at 26 David Barrett knew exactly where the ball was going on that last play thanks to great single zone coverage his positioning gave him the interception Peter you could. I can't ask him for more today, he has done his part and something else so far he has two interceptions.
The Jets offense is on the field and they can finish the game. They'll start at the 26-yard line. Henington unloads this to the right. sideline and the coverage is incomplete Chris Baker was so open on that last play it's too bad he didn't catch the ball that hurt Peter, I'm telling you he seems to be a little down recently, yeah, I mean, you know. that's the fourth ball thrown at him and he can't pick them up, yeah funky Dan, he just has to catch one to get his confidence back on third down, three wide outs in the game, the Texans will take a timeout, that's his second Doug BR gets the down and the field goal drive is on the field Brian with the 44 yard attempt and the field goal attempt is good he squeezes it inside the right upright Doug Bryan gets the field goal but watch how close it comes the ball to the vertical man a few more inches and he would have made the Highlight Reel not the way he would have wanted, although that is his third field goal of the day and giving your team nine points is nothing to sneeze at unless those nine points are covered in pollen, look at it, sorry.
It doesn't make any sense, sorry, you decide to take him out of the end zone at the 19. Jonathan Wells came out around the 20 on that one, so your decision to take him out of the end zone wasn't really worth it, but yeah. He didn't really hurt him either. The Texans will start this drive deep in their own territory with the clock at 58, they get sacked, the Texans take a timeout that is their last second and four outs in the game tear it up in the back field. and the clock continues to run backwards, they get the catch and that takes them even further away from the score on fourth down.
Reggie Tong knows that he doesn't want to stay on the field any longer, so he concentrates on the ball carrier that he drops. him there with an excellent shot, it's the fourth, which means they'll turn the ball over on down. Gave the offense an all-expenses-paid trip to the bench, complete with fancy combinations on the bench, well, they don't convert on fourth down and that's either on them, yeah, write this down in the L column, Dan, he's all over the place, the Jets will start this drive with incredible field position with the clock at 28. Moss drags him to the right side, the clock continues to wind down.
Pana Moss was getting double that. He covered there, but it wasn't enough to keep him from making the catch, another short catch and that's where they've been using him today, the short routes have been open and he's been exploiting them. Pennington throws a bullet into the floor and ran away. From him, a little incomplete, Chad Pennington received the pass on that last play, but just the defensive pressure caused the pass to be incomplete. Peter in this go-go situation, the Jets take their first timeout, don't let him get anything, don't let him. he gets anything, he gets sacked and that will force a turnover on the Texans.
They're missing a man on the line, but it turns out they don't need him. Three are enough to get the job done. Check it out, ow oh, they made it through anyway. it's determination, they didn't convert on fourth down and we'll turn it over Peter I. I'm not sure why they tried at this stage of the game, they obviously have it figured out, oh yeah, greedy call and I paid for it and that will be enough for this one, the Jets come out on top 44 to 14 for my mate Peter OE, this is Dan Stevens saying goodbye until next time, okay Dan thanks, so this one is in the books like us.
Welcome everyone to our ESPN post-game show. I'm Chris Burman. The Jets gave it their all with confidence, putting up some good numbers. Let's start this early in the third quarter. Curtis, my favorite Martin, would find an opportunity here and he would. he was offside and set up an automatic 21-yard field goal, the Jets went ahead in a big way and now lead by 24 after driving 24 yards in four plays. Doug Bryan came in and hit the field goal, he tried to hit his second field goal, the Texans responded correctly. back, the Texans were behind by 27, Andre Johnson came up with a great play as he was able to make this one at Clos the Gap, some are now down by20, the Jets have it after a turnover at Downs, Jason bin would turn things around with a big swing in momentum. here, as he pounced on a loose ball, the defense got the Jets back in front 34 to 14.
Reggie Tong was able to step in front of this pass and take one, but he wasn't done there, touchdown for the Jets, the Jets opened it up and they now lead by 27 a ton after receiving an interception of the ball at their own 21 David Barrett is reading the quarterback's eyes all the time as he can get his hands on this one and take it away from the Jets after receiving an interception. Jets lead by 27 Doug Bryan comes in for the field goal, tries a good spot, this is right through the post and that's where we'll leave this jet, serves up a 44-14 blowout.
He now he talks to a player who is fundamental in his dominant running game and like ours. game player Curtis, my favorite Martin is waiting with our Suszie Calber, thanks Chris, you played brilliantly, you made it look easy tonight, which gave them The Edge today, man to be honest we just believed in each other and we believed in What we're trying to do as a team man Fort smiled at us and we were able to try from the end Chris, thank you for tuning into ESPN, the world's leader in sports for 25 years.
