Hello dad Luce, welcome back to my channel. In today's video I show you how I added beautiful metal tops to my home with items I purchased at my local Goodwill, so if you're interested, keep watching. I'm starting out with these simple glass cylinder vases so the first thing I did was add four coats of black acrylic paint to both vases to protect my paint and for a glossy finish I added a bit of this gloss varnish that I bought from Joanne's and for my dad. color, I'm adding this beautiful gold metallic ribbon that I bought at Hobby Lobby on sale.

I found this gold pearl wrap at my local Dollar Tree and decided to add a roll to my design, simple but beautiful. I'm using them as Laura column candle holders, but you can add plants or flowers. The possibilities are endless for project number two. I added four coats of white acrylic paint to this green vase and let it dry. Then I use this dollar. Decorative tree tape to add separating lines to my vase, of course, I wasn't aiming for perfection here, but I didn't try to keep my lives as straight as possible. Then I painted my face with this metallic gold spray paint virus though Liam. and 15 minutes later, before my paint was completely dry, I removed the decorative tape.

I used a gold metallic paint pen I already had at home to paint the rim of my vase. I then used more white acrylic paint to clean up my lines as much as possible. as much as possible, once I was happy with my lines and my face was completely dry, I added a final coat of gloss varnish. I added these gold metallic leaves I bought from Michaels during their holiday sale here. I added white peonies to my gold and white vase just in time for spring. I was very excited when I found this large and very heavy green vase at my local Goodwill, as you can see the green paint is peeling off, but with the help of a little bleach and a soft scouring pad I was able to remove that green film completely I wanted making a champagne gold version of this pretty mother-of-pearl vase at Pier One, so the first thing I did was give my vase four coats of white acrylic paint.

I found these pearl powders at Joanne's. and I will use these silver and pink pigments for this project. I'm mixing my powders with this glitter and varnish medium also from jo-ann's, as you can see I didn't measure my powder, I just added two small tablespoons of silver. and the pink one: two of my cups. I wasn't happy with the silver color, so I decided to add just a little bit of champagne gold paint to that mug, since Widow, here's my champagne silver shade, my pink tones and I added some white pearl decorative art. acrylic paint that I already had in my two remaining cups.

I then added a small amount of water to each of my cups to thin out the paint a bit. I then added all the paints to a fifth cup, that's about my 8 ounces of paint. Then I turned my vase over and started pouring paint into my vase. I really loved the colors, but when I started pouring I realized it wasn't enough paint to cover this large vase. At this point, I had made several missteps, but I was determined to stick with this project, so I continued here. I'm using my fingers to spread and add paint back to my vase.
They allowed me to dry my face overnight. The next day, I make some more of my pearl white paint with the varnish from my first two projects together and apply that paint to my vase. I used a hair dryer to quickly apply that coat of paint and then added a final mixture of champagne gold and varnish to my vase to achieve this final look and complete the project. I added more of that metallic gold ribbon to the neck of my vase and here is the finished look. I love how this vase turned out up close, you can see the different tones and textures.
It's beautiful, that metallic gold ribbon really added the perfect finishing touch. to this vase and pair it with my pure Capri stems.
