My WORST RACE YET at TeamSport Nottingham

Apr 23, 2024
Well this

race

was wonderful as our team and I have continually been on a binge of expensive team sports over the past few weeks and it continues. We recently found ourselves at Team Sport Nottingham, an electric biscar track with minimal traction on the circuit surface. I've been driving for about 8 months and I can say without a doubt that this was my

worst

race

, but the track layout for Nottingham is fine. I guess nothing too special or memorable, just pretty useful, minus the lack of traction on the track of course. Let's take a quick look at it, so the first thing you do when you cross the line is a big double apex that forms some kind of chicanes on a small straight that then takes you to a left hole that goes up a ramp with a left right chicane towards a descent. ramp, then it's a big right curve, another right curve after that and then a left curve on another straight and then a more left curve on the straight that crosses the line.

It's a pretty simplistic design now, before we get into the race, I just want to quickly point out that I have a Discord server now that Ryan made it for me because he's a sweetheart. If you are an avid cart fan just starting out or even if you don't do it at all, you are more than welcome to join. and chat with us, we have channels to show your cart clips or maybe even your team and the link is in the description anyway, let's line up on the grid where I was randomly assigned 8th place out of 13 because the day I won't not be placed in the middle or rear of the grid at random on a 50 lap is the day Lando Norris wins a Grand Prix.

More Interesting Facts About,

my worst race yet at teamsport nottingham...

Let's get this over with and the lights turn green and let's go racing. I actually have a very good start in this race. I step between two people directly down the middle to gain two positions. I try to run towards the guy in the red suit, but he doesn't give me any space. It locks me in the barriers, it slows me down and because Josh's blocking stats through the roof allows him to pass straight through, so I gained two positions and then lost one to Josh, as is typical, but when we came out of this corner, the traction is obviously not there and I accidentally give Josh a little bump to let him through.

Move on to the guy who just put me in the barriers so they can call that teamwork to be honest, even though it was completely involuntary. I get a really terrible exit coming out of that corner, but I have the inside line going into the next corner, which means I can hold this position for now as we hit the left straight and at the hairpin Josh goes to the inside line and doesn't quite understand how little traction there is, accidentally running Nathan off the road when he tries to take a late break. step and to be fair I do similar things and also have problems with traction.
my worst race yet at teamsport nottingham
I'm sliding into every barrier because I just can't, can't find even an ounce of grip. I go deep into this corner, but luckily I have the inside line. Josh accidentally closes Nathan inside the barriers and he doesn't like that at all and then he passes me on the inside by car 13. Remember this guy because things are about to get worse. incredibly complicated for me with this particular individual, we come. towards the straight towards a left hairpin once again I break before I find the Gap and I get the inside reaching the chicane which means it will become the outside I try to give him the space I'm fine, it's Now is a bad time to ask you to you subscribe to the channel, so in the name of Roman moan, what's going on here?
Well, C 13 and I are going side by side on the only part of the entire circuit with any traction, which is a blind right. on a downhill ramp, I'm on the outside of it and I do my best to give it as much room as I can without sacrificing my speed and also, you know, not crashing head-on into a barrier, apparently I didn't give it enough room because it ever drifts so slightly off the barrier that enough momentum was enough to put me into the barriers that absorbed all of my force from the impact, turning me sideways directly into the oncoming path of a car that caused an absolutely colossal pileup behind me.
It's also worth noting. This impact completely bent me sideways to the point where it actually misaligned my GoPro so it was pointing towards the left side of my face, so yeah, this was a fun way to start a race. So now, as we tentatively continue after that absolute disaster of a crash means I'm also now three places down because the guy who pushed me into the barriers got a position on me and a whole cornering distance and then these two passed me when I stopped when I saw the red flag, so not only am I shocked by what just happened, but I also have a recovery drive on my hands because no race I've ever had can be easy now that the people we're in the track is no longer. means slow.
I've been trying to pass this guy on my right for the last three laps, but I think an opportunity is about to present itself because I come out of that corner a little better than him. I'm going inside. line, but I basically enable a backshift because I leave the line wide open due to lack of traction. I don't feel like having the same accident again, so I lower myself a little bit just to get the inside line into this corner. I accidentally gave it a little push but it wasn't enough to constitute a dirty pass and I finally managed to secure that position now that the next car in front of me is miles away and I'll probably have to fight to defend this position I just took because I don't I know what I'm doing and I hate low traction tracks with all my heart if you want a visual example of how bad I'm doing in this race this guy overtakes.
It takes me inside here because I completely lose all traction and we go about five laps. This is where it ends. I can't see it anymore to the point where I've essentially been driving around the track in what it feels like. like a completely empty race, like the grid is so far apart that everyone is miles away from each other, so there's no real racing for most of this until we get to lap 19, yes, 10 full laps before it could reach anyone. I'm having a great time. Can you tell that right in front of me is Xavier wearing the wrong helmet because we made it all the way to Nottingham before he noticed?
He left it in his room. You are inside. I'm still so paranoid about the accident. I had to yell at him before to let him know that I'm inside him so we don't have another accident. I try to find this guy's interior space, but he misses the back, he uses it to his advantage and I To be honest, I accidentally gave him a little bump due to a bit of a hard break, but he's still defending his position, so, That? I try to cut inside to find space and again his backside kicks him and puts him in the middle of the court, which is a defensive position for that type of move, so I'm having some trouble getting past this guy who is clearly slower than me but defending against me with all his might again, he slows down in the Apex. it doesn't give me any kind of window that's how the defense works, it's really infuriating that this is the guy that is defending against me, he goes really deep into that corner, immediately clears it trying to get to the middle of the track and accidentally overtakes in front.
Obviously I didn't mean to do that, but he basically controlled me by going slower in that corner than I expected, so there wasn't much I could do to avoid that contact and, to be honest, I wasn't in the mood to let him. pass again because well, the stewards didn't think it was a problem and I'm just trying to gain as much ground as I can after what happened at the beginning, minus the accident at the beginning. In reality, there hasn't been much of an impact in this race, with the first of its kind being on lap 22, given the complete lack of traction.
I was expecting a Bonanza yellow flag, but to be fair, the people we're racing on the track really seem to know what they're doing and really know how to take this track properly because I'm struggling to catch up to anyone in this race, that's because Mainly because I'm bad, even though I'm terrible with strollers, people seem to think I'm good. In this I don't know why several more laps of absolute nothing go by until I find this guy parked in the PEX of the last corner that will inevitably throw a yellow flag at some point wait for it wait for it there it's taken a little longer than it should have been considering the Marshall was there looking at him, but well, now I'm reaching the back of C 19, who is not Xavier but looks like Xavier from behind because of the pink Bal clav and gray helmet, this was the reason Xavier forgetting his helmet was a headache for me in the editing process.
He goes incredibly deep into that corner after accidentally cutting one of the apexes, basically letting me pass, I don't know if I just overtook a rear marker or not, because these races always get so confusing to understand what's going on that I don't even I don't even bother with a position counter and to be fair, looking at my position would make me sad in this race anyway, so I can see that the rest of the group is being held up by something about two corners away, so yeah I crouch down and focus maybe I can reach it, maybe this isn't completely over but it will be completely over if I keep making mistakes like that. because I can't find traction, I hate low traction circuits.
A little later, we caught up with another person again, who I'm pretty sure this particular guy was placed in this mortal coil to irritate me. I'm on the outside of him here and I try to make a move, he breaks into this Apex when he doesn't need it and I look for a space on the inside that I can't find, then he closes me down a little bit, so I try to go for the switch. backs up and breaks down in the middle of the track, it exists to get on my nerves, we go to the downhill ramp and he is still holding the center of the track looking after me, he completely loses himself at the exit and Parks himself collides with the nose first against the barriers. that he turned yellow incredibly quickly, so at least one of the stewards is on the ball.
Now we are catching up to Xavier's back once again, who as he comes down the straight lifts his right hand slightly and then begins to slow down to enter the makes me brake in response makes the guy behind me turn do you want to know what Was Zavier doing? I was doing Nottingham's brilliant idea of changing the electric carts pit stops and after two more laps of absolute nothing, it's finally time to go to the pits I stop, I stop in the pits with a vague direction of where to pull the cart I I'm supposed to go out.
He helps me drive to the far lane. Then I get out of the cart making sure to take my seat insert with me because comfort is one of the things you need to properly drive a car. He gestures vaguely in the direction of one of the carts I'm supposed to ride. He says the number eight, now he looks here, that's the number. eight right, okay, let's move forward a little bit oh, you have to betian f g and That's it, in my rush to get to the right cart. I accidentally missed the number one on the front of this card and wandered off.
I enter card 18 wasting valuable. seconds when I should have been on cart 8, the only cart in all these rows is not placed at the front and since I have wasted so much time I don't even have time to adjust my seat or my pedals, which are both. all the way forward, so I finished the last 10 laps of this race positioned on my cards as Waluigi, several laps behind anyone remotely close to the leader, what a brilliant idea and, as if to capitalize on my pain, my potential assassin finds a gap in between me because my weight distribution is now completely altered because my entire seating position has changed.
I'm doing my best not to bang my knees on the steering wheel as I try to control my stroller from this new seating position. I didn't have the It's time to adjust it because that pit stop was so bad that the pit stop probably didn't even need to happen, to be honest, because now we're 10 laps from the end of the race. Well, the race is almost over, let's see if we can. I can end this on a note, it won't be a high note, but hopefully it will be a note, come on, you didn't think this race was going to end, incident 3, did you?
Because this happens in the last corner. I have no idea what caused this incident, but luckily I managed to escape completely unscathed by gaining three positions back there, although the reality is that I probably came undone considering how bad that pit stop was, but luckily that meant I didn't get caught out. in another collision that would have reduced mytime even longer than it already has because of everything that has happened in this race and just to remember how terrible I am. I've been stuck behind this guy here for the last four laps. I'm trying to get a decent lead. lining up on the inside for some reason, which completely sacrifices my corner exit and allows Josh to lap me.
I'm not having fun and watching Josh pass me twice is the most demoralizing thing on the planet one lap later. Josh totally grimaces at the guy. who has been absolutely holding me back for the last five laps and even manages to overtake at the chicane, something I couldn't do without almost getting killed, but that means I'm still stuck behind C 4 who is trying to take the line on Josh lo ruins, kicks him in the back and stops me, as a result he almost lets my would-be killer pass, but I think I managed to close that, no, I don't manage to close it and then comes Ryan through the The gap that that left is also just Terri.this couldn't have gone worse Ryan has given me his bad luck for this race and I don't want it he can take it back he can take back his bad luck and I can't catch Ryan in the race final lap as we cross the line to end a race I didn't enjoy on the slide so let's get this last lap of Glory out of the way, head into the pits and I'll give you my final thoughts so there "This race was shit for me, my complete inability to adjust low traction circuits , the

worst

pit stop since Valter Botas in Monaco and the most violent 30mph crash you'll ever see in your life.
It's fair to say that Nottingham is now my least favorite track in the country because team sports Stoke once had that title simply because I had a bad experience the first time I went there. Stoke team sports only black flagged me during a practice session. Nottingam tried to kill me. I wasn't so happy with how this race went that I had to wait several days after the race to even think about making this video and even then have to start over because I was so bitter about what I had already done. Of course, I can do this now that I'm in the mood to laugh at my own mistakes, but it was after this specific race, specifically for me and the team, that we came to the collective conclusion that we are getting bored of indoor tracks. .
We made plans in the Parking immediately after that race to go to Daytona Tamworth and then test the dmax cars at 70 mph on an outdoor circuit sounds amazing, at least it would have been until Ryan's car decided to get a test and the test said no, so it could be just a little. While we're still a long way off from being honored with a D-Max car exhaust baptism, the next video will be at Cannon Raceway, a place I went to alone because the rest of the team refused to go there anymore. beautiful place until next time
