My Top 10 Ways to Tie a Scarf

Hello how are you? I hope you had a very good week. I don't know where you are, but it's very cold here in Houston. It must be, I don't know. 35 degrees outside, cloudy. We had snow and sleet in the area. It's so uncommon, let me tell you, it also makes me wish and long for warmer temperatures and sunshine, which really inspired my tutorial idea for this week and I mentioned last week that I had something new and different for you and I think it is and I'm going to take a step back and show you what it is.

to wear a scarf during the spring and summer months. The next thing is very, very simple and you can do this pretty much, I would say on anything, and it's just a very loose shawl, so you take your scarf, you put it in a big triangle, you just drape it over your shoulders and tie it very loosely. . at the ends a little knot and you can wear it like this just hanging loosely like this or turn it to the side so you have the knot on one shoulder, pull it down a little bit and this is a beautiful look over a summer dress too and just for keeping your shoulders warm, so a really nice shawl, speaking of keeping you warm, let's say you're wearing something light during the day and you transition into the evening and you're outside, this can actually make a great jacket. and this is what you do: you go from corner to corner, so I'm going to take these two from one side and I'll tie them in a little knot right here, okay, and then I'll do the same thing on the other side. on the other side, corner to corner, same side, you're not going diagonally, okay, now you basically have it, are you ready for this?

You've made your own jacket out of your scarf, it hangs perfectly over your shoulders and look how decorative it is, that's not it. super cool so again I mean you can literally throw this in your bag and take it out at night if you don't want to carry a big jacket but you want to protect yourself from the wind or you just know it's a little chilly out there. It's a great way to do it, so again your scarf becomes a jacket, another thing you can do and again, this looks great with a turtleneck shirt. I'm going to start folding it from the outside in because I like to see a lot of color, so I'm going to take our little corner here again, about 2 inches in diameter, and keep folding and folding and rolling until I get a very long scarf and thin, put it around your neck like this. and you can tie it in a really loose knot like that and let it hang, you can tie it twice, you can leave it like that inside a jacket, but again, this adds a really nice pop of color if you don't want something high. on the neck, this is just a very loose decorative way to wear a scarf, okay, oh, and now that it's like that, by the way, let's say you don't have a belt or it's not the right color or you want something that's a little more .

More colorful and interesting, this becomes a belt, so I'm going to step back and you take it and just thread it through the belt loops. I like the side tie a little more, but voila, now you've made a belt out of your scarf and I think it's a really fun and edgy way to do it. Okay, so you have a bag and let's say you're wearing a very light, flowy summer dress or whatever and you just want to keep that flow going, take your scarf, fold it like we did, but loosen it. a little bit and then take a handle and then tie it around a handle of your bag, so just a very loose tie and voila, you've added a very nice piece to your bag and again kind of a very tasteful traditional western style.

I love this bag. This bag looks like a really expensive bag, you know which one I'm thinking of, but it's a Saint Nicola bag that I found here in Houston and the price was great, so I think this one looks really regal and pretty, and I didn't. I have to spend a lot of money for it, okay, let's move on, oh yeah, this is fun too. I love wearing hats. I'm a big fan of hats, so during the summer I'll make a sort of straw hat, but let's say I'm I don't really like the band around the hat or I want to, maybe I have an orange swimsuit and I want to tie that color .

Then I'll take my scarf and I'll tie it around the hat, so you just say, so look. I'm going to leave it so I can tie it and cover the perfect black and again this is very fun and decorative and now you have your scarf around your hat quite stylish. By the way, you can also make a hat with your scarf. This is great if you're in a car and the windows are down and you don't want your hair flying in your face or you're on a boat or whatever the case may be, and sometimes hats fly around, just grab your scarf. and the long triangle goes like this over your head, it totally ruins my hair, but whatever for the purpose of the video, it needs to be done and then I'm going to tie this in the back, there we go, so this is kind of boho hippie.

Look oh my gosh the hair is scary whatever and then I love putting some really cool shades with this these have a little bit of a golden tint to them so anyway very very fun this is a beachy look really good and again keeps the hair. off your face and last but not least you can make a top with this so you have the two ends of the big triangle, take it, wrap it around your back, take it out, you have the two ends here, you can crisscross them and you can do If it's a sleeveless top, you'll need, by the way, a bigger scarf, which is a little bit cheeky, but you can do this with a bigger scarf, by the way, I do it all the time and it's a really cool look, but again, you do a little halter style. in the back, cross it around the front and you've made a little bit of a scary top, let's see if I go like this, oh yeah, here's another way to do it with a scarf this size, just take it from the back and tie it here.
