living

in absolute comfort in a house, there is absolutely even for me someone who has lived on the road for years and out of a car that is much less luxurious than what I now There's still a transition to make and I'm definitely transitioning right now, but I'm not there yet.

my first month living in a van...

I'll find myself, you know, I don't know, I'm just not used to being back in the vignette. I'm just not used to it. I was able to really dive back in. I worked in the van during the day, hung out in the van at night and even started shopping again instead of going out to eat all the time and really putting that into practice. amazing cooler to use this is me and the daily setup here I have my laptop plugged in I have this amazing fan this fan has really been a big game changer here this single fan with USB connector and it clips to my desk and I have my laptop set up and the fan running back there, the lights on.

I usually come in a second ago. It feels pretty good, especially now that I have some sort of internet solution. Doing this really helped me. Get familiar with the van and those little things that you know are impossible to charge for until you physically live in it. Things like where I hang my clothes after I wear them and how I block out the light so I can sleep. and dealing with wildlife, yeah that was the big thing, uh, living in the driveway for two weeks, we had a pretty epic ongoing battle with the local bears, they wanted our trash and they wanted it, and you're on my phone, you see how you can see the cans. right there, right on camera, yeah, that's where we are now.

We have decided to turn this into a surveillance. That's it, we're going to trap these bears. This is the central monitoring of the bear's air sent to the headquarters. What happens when it explodes, of course? escort we were in the eye of the storm friends, okay it's the next night and this is a new trash can, trash can appear, oh my god, Michael, it's too big, she's going to put on a jacket, Larry, leave it Hey, get out of here. my truck, hey, don't get into that, no, oh, it's a trap, big trouble in the House, these bears, man, they're relentless, they run, they set their course, flip flops, what are you thinking you were going to do with just a foot from Florence, that's just experience, I mean, I've hung out with all those bears, I've hung out with all those bears in Florida, a lot of experience, no, I've never had beers in Florida, but I see like bears.
A stranger to the bears that come to my house and I go and give him the piece I take once we have everything settled it was time for me to spread my wings and fly so I left the hack shack decided to go back to 100% self-sufficiency again As an outsider looking at it, it may have been tempting to think that I really wanted to stay on the sets as long as I could. I mean, why wouldn't he? He was living in the lap of luxury and hanging out. with my best friend all the time, the thing is, while I really enjoyed the time we spent working and riding our bikes, there's really nothing like having your own space to come back to.
Personally, I really value being self-sufficient and being happy to depend on even something like that. such a great friend for so long that it becomes difficult to see all my friends to always know that when we get together it's not because I need to do laundry to take a hot shower or anything, it's because I want their company talking about great friends in great company, it wasn't long before it was time to go on my

first

mini adventure in the band, so I've come back and lived in the band for I don't know two weeks or so and you know, I came.
I went to Atlanta for a little trip to hang out and see my little brother and my best friend, while my little brother moved back to Florida from his apartment, it was a super short stint here, really like 48 hours, but I am so glad I got in the van and went to see them because, in my opinion, any time spent with friends and family is worth it. To be honest, Atlanta is a great place and although it is still a city, it has very good access. to many outdoor activities and even has mountains just an hour and a half north, which is exactly where Chance and I are headed to give him some time in the mountains before heading back to Florida, we are going to hike to Getting out of Atlanta and into the woods, we didn't really care where we were going, we just wanted to get out of the city and into nature, so we did some research and headed to Panther Creek Falls, a place I surprisingly never visited. during my stay in Atlanta Yeah, sure, the landing is like here sacred, but this tree right here and then it holds on this all together, I see it in the crunch, it stopped to see things, I'm like: where's the baby ?
Oh, he'll come back for the baby, oh my god, it's mixed with the root, oh, that's so sketchy. I can't believe you did that so easily. Oh wow, I don't trust myself with this. I'm ready to quit. I understood this demand and I did not do it. You have to get there on a bicycle. In fact, you can get somewhere pretty quickly outside of Atlanta. There are many interesting things. This is only an hour and a half away. Leave this. You hear something? I heard something that might be a big waterfall. We're looking for a waterfall and there's a big swimming hole at the bottom, oh, that kind of waterfall when the falling water falls off the rocks onto something.
Okay, we've done it, look at this, man, it's cool, oh god. God has a chance to immediately get into the water, how cool is that. Panther Creek Falls was pretty cool, by the way, and like any best friend opportunity, I had a great time as we proceeded like we went out yesterday when we really hadn't. I even saw him for about six months, the state was over before we knew it and it was time for them to return to Florida, so the opportunity to take his shift at work, very successful, staying in Atlanta, very quick visit but fun.
I'm really happy. Excited, I was able to see the opportunity to see my brother and my best friend and then I was able to go out and hang out with another very good friend of mine, Daniel and Faye, and I actually got to travel with Daniel twice, super fun, a trip in the soul, a journey in a movie, simply perfect. my opinion and now it's time to return to Asheville. I have a few projects to finish before I can hit the road on my way to Colorado. I think it'll be um, good morning, I just woke up here in the parking lot. of English and having some coffee on the way.
Oh, you guys have asked me about my kitchen setup and it's actually super simple at that point. I just got this, it's like a $40 Coleman two burner propane stove like a super standard camp stove and you guys used these propane tanks to fuel it and you know I don't even have really good plates or anything like that yeah this one it's just my backpacking titanium snow peat setup so yeah, really simple setup I have my arrow pressed here ready to brew some delicious coffee. Don't wait, just stay in the van. I haven't even gone out, it looks like it's a beautiful day, although oh yeah, it looks really nice if you like this place I'm in right now really sums up the van life on Instagram. what you would normally see and then this is the part they don't show you dr.
Rick at the garbage station. It's very funny to me how little the actual light of trucks is shown on the internet. The hard truth is that the vast majority of van life isn't glamorous or fun despite what those Instagram models want you to believe. It was parked outside. from one angle for two nights and I just got back to the park here today, it's like 7 at night so there was a sheriff's car there and I think it might have been because I stayed there two nights in a row. on the way to the CVS thinking it was going to be good, but no, no, no, I don't think this is a good place.
I'm going on a camping or horseback riding trip with my clients tomorrow and I'm so excited, I just found something that will help me tremendously in the future. Check it out, boom. I'm a damn Walmart is here. The real point is to check it. I still have internet and that means I can stay here whenever I want. because Walmart is great so Walmart is great in the sense that there are obviously some drawbacks to living in a van on the road, which I was always quick to remember. I think the most important thing to remember is that I didn't choose this. lifestyle because I love living in a car, van or even a tent, in fact the only reason I live like this is because of what it allows me to do.
It all started with an idea of what I wanted and why things happened. which I value and then began to discover a way of life that would better facilitate these therefore family. Hello again friends and welcome to the inside of the van. I just wanted to come in and say one last time how much I appreciate you guys being here and watching the video and I really hope you enjoyed it because I worked so hard on it.
