This is a sight they are probably not used to. here at the table in the Island craft room and this is where I normally sit when I'm filming for YouTube, but obviously what you can see is all the equipment that I use to make that magic happen. I set up an overhead camera because obviously showing you the cricket machine it's good to show you the overhead shot. I have mik. More Interesting Facts About,

my epic craft room tour 2023...

I want to show you the craft room on the island, as I mentioned, this is from Ikea. I really loved the combination of gray and white so I chose the gray on the island and you can see that I chose a lot of drawers because you know I just wanted to have a lot of space to store all the different things that we have. need to do crafts, for example, here I looked for some nice vinyl drawers, my Joey stuff is up here, my bigger vinyls are down here and one really interesting thing you have to see about this island is here, so obviously when I'm doing crafts.

I use my Cricket machine a lot so I need a power source, so my incredibly awesome dad came up with a really cool solution. Come here let me show you what he's done: He hooked up a power source under the island so actually all my outlets are inside the drawer and then he made a little hole in the island and that way I can plug into my machine cooking when I'm doing crafts, isn't that so cool? I used the drawer inserts from Ikea. To keep everything really nice and organized, this is where I keep all my cardstock that is A4 or smaller again.

I have organized them by color and also here I have things like felt, my glitter cards and I also have adhesive paper down here. I have a rail and here I am storing all my really big cardstock. These measure 12 x 24 inches. I mean, I could have put them in a drawer, but I actually really like having them on display. so and the hangers are really a fabulous way to store them, they are strong enough to hold them so I love this with this Ikea PX unit fitted, what I decided was to leave the top half with all the exposed shelves open and then down.
I have drawers. I had initially planned to have closet doors on everything. This is where I plan to put all of your cabinets. I'm going to use Ikea's packaging system, but I found that it's actually much nicer to be able to do that. to see everything I have and also just with space, having a drawer would have interfered with the island in the craft room so you can see all my amazing Cricut machines. I've been lucky enough to work with Cricut on a You may have seen me in many different ways on the cricket learning website, so I received a few of these machines to do my work with.
However, I got to a point where somehow, even though there is so much space here, I didn't have enough. for the Cricut machine, so we added an extra glass shelf in this unit to allow me to stack the Cricket machines. Another Cool Storage solution I found at Ikea were these really pretty baskets, they're very simple but that's why I think they're really beautiful and I keep my flowers in here, you might know I'm also a cricket teacher so in these drawers I keep my supplies for the workshop scripts and sample projects that we do in that workshop and then that's the kind of thing that What I have in these drawers are previous projects where I made craft blanks.
You can never have enough craft blanks, as you know, and you'll see in all my drawers that I try to use these Ikea dividers to hold everything. organized I bought these pots for an enchanted wood themed party for my daughter I love them oh yeah so this was from a workshop I taught one year with Hobbycraft I was doing workshops to make a cane let me show you so this is what we were doing at that workshop, so I still have some supplies left over, so maybe I'll try reusing them in a different way. You'll notice the top drawers I've kept as tray type drawers so I can stay slimmer. things here, so I have my paper cutters and I also borrowed this from my mom's kitchen.
It is like a heat resistant tray. I use it with my Easy Press m mat when I use my Easy Press for heat projects and then here I am. I have all my embossing powders so this is the insert again from Ikea. You see, like I said, there's a bunch of Ikea in here, this is the jewelry insert and I'm using it to organize all my stamping powders, so these are my heat. pistols and my various stamps. Crafters know that we always have a lot of supplies, so again I'm using these Ikea containers to keep things organized.
This is all adhesive, so I have this iron here because I tried to do it for the first time. I iron projects with this travel iron, which was obviously a disaster, so I'm left with that here. I have some spray adhesives, these foam squares and a bunch of tape and then underneath I have more supplies, stationery, some paints. It's not really my medium but I wanted to try it and I don't know about you but I'm definitely a hoarder so at least this way I can keep all the things I don't want to throw away and they still show up.
Well, these are all my project blanks. These are, you know, Cricut blanks. I can do iron on infusible ink projects with them, lots of spare supplies for when I'm crafting here and here are all the scrapbooking supplies I have. I read this book by Austin Cleon called Keep Going and in it I first heard about the concept of a season of happiness and it's meant to be a special place or a special moment in your day where you keep it to yourself just to sit and think and see what you could dream of so this part here of the craft room is what I call my Bliss station it's just a lovely cozy chair.
I can sit here and think about the next projects I want to work on and it's a really nice way to get inspired, let me show you where the craft surgery happens, so again I've used the Ikea jewelry inserts to organize all my Cricut blades, my scrapers, my weeding tools and scissors, and honestly, every time I come here to pull out a tool. I feel like I'm a real craft surgeon on this center section of the craft wall. I have stored everything in these tray drawers and used the same inserts to store all my vinyl, so these are all my adhesive vinyl, these are really perfect, you can see the rolls fit in very well, more vinyl, this is a solution Really lovely for storing vinyl, this is one of the new craft room additions you may have seen recently.
I posted a video reviewing the Canon Pixma Crafters printer and I'm so excited to have it in the craft room now so I keep it here on the shelves and I have my Cricut maker 3 right above it and my easy presses. They are also here in the drawers. I'm saving more supplies of my Cricut vinyls. Another really cool storage solution I came up with here was for all my Cricut mats. It was a bit impossible for me to find the one I needed. I needed it in a drawer so instead I went out and bought these wooden hangers and you know they're really good, they hold up like here.
I have like four different mats that stand up so they're nice and strong and the Another nice thing is if you look inside they have a felt lining so they don't scratch the mat either so I thought it was a cool little hanging solution my mats, so I hope you enjoyed the tour. from the craft room I'd love to know in the comments, let me know what your favorite part was, how you organize things in your craft rooms, and before you go you might want to check out this playlist of my most popular Cricut tutorials , but Otherwise, see you next time until then, happy crafting.
