May 30, 2021
Welcome aboard the new and highly anticipated MSC Virtuosa. Follow us as we show you this amazing new boat. And welcome aboard. Yes, you heard us right. In fact, we are on board a cruise

ship

. In fact, we are on board. Oh my god, this is incredible. I must admit I feel a little overwhelmed. A bit like it was all a dream. Yes, definitely. I feel like I'm a little dazed. It feels like we never left. But at the same time, it's been 15 months and it's amazing to finally be here. Guys, we're not in our room anymore.

We are not in our house. We're actually on a cruise

ship

and that roof looks absolutely incredible. You may be thinking that we have skipped all the necessary parts to get on board. But we took some images. It was very fast, very smooth. So should we talk about what it was like to get on board? So let's take a seat before I show you this wonderful ship. So getting on board was really easy. We arrived at the port at the scheduled time. They are very strict about that. We had to wait in a quick line to get into the terminal and we had to show all those documents.

So we had to do it. And they are very controlled, right? PCR test, insurance and all the details of your reservation. Hello, we are finally inside, where it is nice and warm. We are about to check-in and have our documents ready to send. From there we went to security. Which was the usual time. And then once we got through security, we had to wait in line for our PCR test. Once again, there wasn't really any queue. It was just, more or less, walking straight through. So we took the PCR test. Which, fortunately, was very nice. He was so nervous.

I wouldn't say it was nice, but she was amazing. She was very fast. She was so lovely. David took some images. I just gave you the test. Yes, it was good. She was very, very good. Very kind. Very good thanks. I've been dreading that for two days. Everything's fine. Uploading David! Hurrah! Finally, it's time to move on. It almost seems surreal, to be honest. Enthusiastic! A little dance. And it was a very quick

boarding

process

. We were planning to take out our camera and film. But we just did it on our iPhone. Then you'll see all the clips from that.

But she was lovely, wasn't she? She stuck it right up there, in my nose. Two seconds later, everything was fine. It was incredible. In and out. And then we had to go to one more desk. This is where you literally just picked up your cruise card and your MSC contact tracing bracelet. So they can see who you've been with on the boat. Um and that's it. David's card had not been printed quickly, so one of the ladies took us on board immediately to print it. But that's it and now we are here. So we will take you on our wonderful boat

tour

.
Let's stop wasting time because we know you all want to see this fabulous ship. So go ahead, let's go and start the

tour

of the MSC Virtuosa. Come on! Come on, Ben! So we will be sailing on it for the first time from Southampton. Let's start outside from above with an aerial view of this beautiful ship. Well guys, welcome aboard. It may be windy here, but we don't care because we are so excited to be cruising again. We are on the main pool terrace and it is quite cold. I don't know if I'll still get out my "swimmers" and jump in that pool.
But we can only dream. We have a beautiful image of the Caribbean, so let's close our eyes and pretend. I am very excited to be back on a cruise. I can not wait! 15 months can you believe it? Hurrah! We had typical bad UK weather, but there is plenty of space to sunbathe when the weather is nice. And we loved the two huge curved hot tubs on each side of the boat. We still enjoyed them despite the weather. At the back of the ship there is another pool with an amphitheater with plenty of seating and loungers, as well as a bar.
Now, how cool is the Savannah Water Park? It features a ropes course and three different slides, including a fish tank slide. It was too cold to try. Maybe next time. Since the weather was a bit bad, we'll take a look from above to see all the features. You can also see the roof of the interior solarium and the private yacht club at the front. Now let's go back inside, where it's warm and nice. We visited the Sky Lounge. This is the Sky Lounge and it is at the top of the ship. This is actually our favorite bar on this class of ship.
We really like it here. Especially at night. Beautiful view, delicious drinks, it's our favorite place. I think these will be our seats later. Right next door are all the kids' club areas. From toddlers to teenagers, there is something for everyone. Oh, I think this will be my place for the rest of the cruise. Are you girls okay? Obviously, this is the children's club area on board. Are you okay sailor? There's even a great lounge for teens to relax and make new friends. Then down the stairs, a deck, we have the gym. Does anyone know which one of these is?
Apparently it's for something called exercise! Anyway, it looks like there's a lot of gear to use here. And right behind the gym, we have the sportsplex. At the entrance it has a small archway. It's a little different than the other ships. It's a little more open in Virtuosa. This looks like a lot of fun. We have the virtual reality center, we have the MSC racing cars. We've done these before and they are very, very fun. Additionally, there is also a large bowling alley. Which is really cool! Bowl at F1 races and all VR stuff for an additional fee.
So keep that in mind. And it also has a sports bar to have a drink after all that gaming. There is also a full size sports court here. It has football, basketball and many other sports that I know absolutely nothing about. There are handy screens throughout the ship showing exactly where you are on each deck. And it's the best elevator system we've ever seen. You literally just press a button and it immediately tells you which elevator it will be. Genius! It's actually a really good thing. Now let's go to the buffet to eat something because I'm a little hungry.
There are many places around the buffet to eat and we really like the fact that there are big, beautiful windows where you can see the outside. Of course, in these times, tables are blocked and all other seating is blocked for social distancing. But still, there are many options. There is also a self-service beverage station where you can help yourself to tea, coffee, juices and water. There are many different teas there. I wonder if they have my favorite. Good old chamomile. I like chamomile. So the market buffet is the main buffet on board. Lots of selection of different types of food.
Of course, at the moment it is not a self-service buffet. If you ask the crew, they will take your food and serve it to you on a plate. The interesting thing about MSC is that they even have their own mozzarella station where you can watch them prepare and prepare the mozzarella. They do it every day and sometimes throughout the day they have talks and demonstrations. So let's enter the warmth of the Tropical Bar. It is the solarium on board. It's a Baltic climate outside with this British weather, so it's so nice that it has a sun terrace.
It has a lovely large pool, two jacuzzis on the lower deck and two jacuzzis on the upper decks. It's just a really nice space. You can have a drink, have a coffee and it has a great bar. One of the best things about this sunroom is the fact that it has tons of seating. This is fabulous because you can have a cocktail at the bar, or even have a coffee, relax and just watch the world go by through one of the amazing windows. There is a great bar here called Tropical Bar where you can have many different cocktails.
But also fantastic coffee. Come on, guys upstairs. Let's take a look at what's up here. Wow, it's got foosball, there's some table tennis if you want to play, more seating and two more hot tubs. And it is such a beautiful sight. What a wonderful space. We love hot tubs. We will definitely enter here later. It's amazing as it has a really great view through the windows. Wow! Now this is ostentatious, isn't it? These are the swarvostis... Swarovski stairs. Oh my god, my eyes hurt because they are so bright. They are absolutely stunning in every way. And seen on all MSC ships.
Adorable. Now let's go down to the heart of the ship. On the lower decks there is a bar with plenty of seating, a shore excursion desk, and guest services if you have any problems. There are often live musical performances here which are very nice to watch. It's a great space to relax and just relax. And going back in a deck you will find the photo gallery. Right in front is one of the new features. First for MSC, the Starship Club. Welcome to the super futuristic spaceship club. Highly anticipated with our robot, Rob, in the background. He gives you cocktails.
It's an extra charge, we looked at the prices and it's £18 for a cocktail. Which, to be fair, we think is a bit steep since it's included in the Royal Caribbean beverage package. Many of you have asked us but no, it is not included in the drinks package. But what a magnificent piece of technology. My God! Such a variety of options on what to order. I can choose a ready-made cocktail or I can make something very special for myself. How cool is this robot? Towards the rear of the ship, on two decks, are the four main dining rooms.
This is where you will find all the complimentary dining areas. How striking is this wine cellar too? It is absolutely spectacular in person. Welcome to the champagne bar. Now this is one of our favorite places to hang out and drink. So glamorous, so sparkly, all the lights and we love a delicious glass of champagne. Again, when you sit on the boat you cannot wear a mask. But let's keep our fingers crossed for the future when masks are long gone. Oh, we could just sit here all day enjoying champagne and people watching. There is nothing better. Behind the Champagne Bar you will find the casino.
There are a lot of machines and tables. And this leads directly to the back of the ship and the carousel lounge. Thank you, thank you all. Hello, welcome to the show hall. This is the Carousel Room. It hosts evening shows and live music. But the best thing is these stunning views with these incredible windows. It is a fabulous place to be both day and night. I feel like I'm on stage! Hello, hello everyone! Here we are at the Virtuosa Galleria. It's such a lovely place to be. Lots of bars, restaurants, nightlife and that amazing huge LED screen on the ceiling.
Isn't it just fantastic? On the lower level of the Galleria, you will find the Virtuosa boutique. Offers purchases. And right across the street is the Virtuosa bar and lounge. Now this place was always full of live music, dancing and parties. It was really cool to see. On the second level of the Galleria, you will find the British-inspired pub: Masters of the Sea. There is a great selection of beers, lagers and other drinks. Opposite the pub you will find the television studio and bar. We're a little confused about what this space is. I wish they had changed on this boat because it's always a little quiet.
But it is a good place to do karaoke, watch presentations and have a quiet drink. Next door is the Il Campo restaurant. This is an exclusive restaurant for those booked with the Aurea package. What is the spa and wellness package? Now let's keep walking and you will find Jean-Philippe's amazing chocolate shop and café. OMG, it smells so good. We wish to have smell or vision. The chocolate is also made by hand here, which is great. It's a ship that has a chocolate factory! Right in front you will find Hello! Tacos and Cantina. It is a specialty restaurant with an extra charge that offers Spanish-style cuisine.
Then upstairs we have one of our favorite restaurants, Kaito sushi and Asian restaurant. It's so good. It really is one of the best places to eat and we love that the seats face the gallery. It feels like you are dining in the Mediterranean. And right next to the Kaito sushi restaurant you will find another specialty restaurant with extra payment. It's Butcher Cut, the on-board steakhouse. We've had some really great meals here before. It's definitely worth it and again you can eat semi al fresco in the Galleria. Go back downstairs and you have a tour desk. As well as the crepe and ice cream shop.
Wow, the ice cream looks absolutely amazing and we ordered a crepe and it was really delicious. You'll have to look at our blogs for that. But it is an extra charge. Again you will find more places to shop. And then there's a new specialty restaurant, Indochina. Serves French Indonesian food. It smells very good. We'll try it later on the cruise. The decor here looks really beautiful and really fits the theme. Oh! It has been a very long day and we hope you enjoyed our boat tour of the MSC Virtuosa. Join us next time. We'll head to our cabin and take a look there.
We are going totry everything! All the food, all 21 bars and get a better look at Rob at the Starship Club. But thank you very much for watching. Please subscribe.
