We have some groceries here, as well as pasta here and a couple of other small things that we got at the Wholesale Club, which is a Wholesale Distributor here in British Columbia, so we stopped by there on the way home and bought some things, but they I'll show what stuff we got from there and the rest was all from Costco. This olive oil cost $118.99, which was less expensive. than last time we went, which is always good olives for pizza $13 do you like black olives? More Interesting Facts About,

massive costco haul giant pantry restock homemade mayo and ranch dressing...

I like green olives but not black olives. We got our sweet potato crackers here $150. In fact, I think the prices overall are a little lower than the last time we went, so these batteries were a freebie that came with our Wholesale Club order if you spend. I think it's $250 or something, you usually get a freebie there so that's what the dead batteries and contacts were, so these are $20 each for a double pack. These are my favorite Costco crackers. These are pea bites and they have really nice herbs. condiments and they were $8.99 a box and we got two boxes of those we have sour cream here for $17.99 so this was also from the Wholesale Club along with the

mayo

nnaise here which is 2750 so the story of

mayo

nnaise is one of the What I have decided to do in the future is to make our own

homemade

mayonnaise along with our salad

dressing

s because I made the salad

dressing

s, not the mayonnaise, but I made the salad dressings during the Pantry Challenge and They are much better than the ones in the store.

I bought them and they don't have all the junk. I think salad dressings are a condiment that contains a lot of unnecessary things, so that's something I want to do. I bought some avocado oil. These were $750 each. and I bought two of them to make

homemade

mayonnaise with olive oil. I have used olive oil before to make homemade mayonnaise and the flavor is very strong and this is just a milder oil, but Dan really loves mayonnaise and he doesn't want it. will run out so if for some reason I don't have a fresh batch made or he doesn't have time to make some or something I wanted to have a backup so we got two of mayonnaise and those if I didn't say this was too of the wholesale CL.

This is my favorite organic baking cocoa. but this was a pretty good price for them so we got a couple bags of those macadamia nuts which are incredibly expensive so they are a treat, these are Down's favorite nuts, $25 for that little bag, some pasta noodles chain, these were also from the Wholesale Club and were $22.99 a bag of cranberries $14 two bags of those salted mixed nuts $17 my favorite for baking is peas and I know some people say turkey but I say peas uh they were $15 cashews $14 which is a really good price pistachios $20 oh my gosh my husband snuck that one in there I think and one more bag of almonds so these are for snacks so they're dry roasted with sea salt and then these down here are the ones that I will use recipes, two bags of organic. dried mango $25 a bag but there's a ton of mango in here and this lasts quite a while and they don't have added sugar or anything like that $17 for money mushrooms.
I throw them in chili, all kinds of things actually and I'm not a big fan of mushrooms, but my family loves them so we got two boxes of them along with two boxes of organic coconut milk. I like to make curries, so we have two of those. I used this in curried pumpkin soup that I made absolutely delicious the other day some smoked paprika for $88.99 a little bit of com ucha here so I'm going to start a kombucha again. It's been a while since I've made kombucha and I don't currently have a scobby so I'm going to use some store bought kombucha and it's organic to start my own scobby so I'll share that in a future video probably halfway through. week where I show you how I do it, so we just buy some simple things.
I can do it with the flavored stuff to start but I recommend using plain kombucha for that, we have two different types of peanut butter here, this is one I really like and Dan really likes atams so we got some of each more in Ziploc bags. of course, and I don't have a price for these, they weren't a great deal, they were just average price anyway and then we have a ton of clothes here, but we'll go through them at the end. paper we bought for a friend of ours and we also got some diapers here these are for our grandson $47 which is a great price for $160 diapers.
I will do all the non food stuff at once. I was very happy to find them. So these Caramel Pretzel groups I have tried with a couple different brands over the years and in the last bag and I think they might actually have been the same brand I bought over a year ago. I just wasn't crazy about it but I decided to try it again and oh my goodness these are so stinky $11.50 and they are nut free so for people with nut allergies these are the ones that are nut free and absolutely delicious $ 1250 per sesame. buy $4.98 for kaca chips so we got four bags of those crackers and $12 and $12 for both boxes, we got a bunch of these, they were also from the Wholesale Club, $150 each.
I use them to make stir-fries, lots of cheese, like we always do, I just run them through my food processor, grate them and then freeze them so the mozzarella is for pizza and then the cheddar here is for whatever. that we are going to use, since they were both about $15 each. block, which is a really amazing price, I got a couple of ketchup for $1.39. This is just one of those things that is made from scratch. I just don't like doing it, it takes a lot of time, so it was $15 for these kombuchas. frying noodles and then a couple boxes of organic tomato paste and these were $1650 for a box of these two chili powders at $649 $17 for vanilla I got two of those oh there's the simple kombucha I was talking about um , this is the one I'm going to use to start my own dish soap pile, I think these were $1.99 each or somewhere in that price range.
We also got them at the Wholesale Club and I bought two plants because I thought they were very pretty and I want one plant for here and one plant for up here. I have a couple of plants around here but I love how the green looks with this furniture so I wanted a couple more and they were $15 each. It was very cold and windy when I left Costco and I had both plants in the front of my cart and an older gentleman walked by and said, "you'll want to cover them, they're going to freeze" and I was like, "Oh my God." My vehicle is right there which was literally less than 30 seconds from the door and he said he would cover them anyway but I just booked it in the vehicle put them in the vehicle and turned on the heat right away. which is a much thicker sheet, was totally fine, but I was right because I ended up with a couple of sheets.
I don't know if you can see that down here that in that very short period of time, like less than a minute. it actually ended up getting damaged by the cold wind, it's not that crazy so luckily most of the plant is fine so I'm going to cut these off but it was probably only -5 but with the wind much colder and I just did it We froze in a matter of seconds, we bought a tissue, this one was 1358 and a bunch of butter, like we always buy, they were $4.9.95 each which is almost a dollar cheaper than last time which was fantastic, so we got a Whole case of those who bought a little more honey.
I have a ton of honey to process at the store, but I'll have to wait until it's a little warmer to do it, so we bought honey. These were $2 each. A little rubbish. bags so we got a rotini pen and elbow macaroni and again these were all from the Wholesale Club along with the trash bags too so now we'll move on to the non food related stuff, a $17 deodorant for 5 , so it's a really good price. one of my sons needed a new rug for his room so we got this one and this is for the downstairs boot room this is a power cord this is actually for downstairs at Dan's store and it was only 20 bucks so I hope make it last so we have all the freezer stuff here that I kept outside in the freezer and I brought it in to show you that we have a lot of delicious stuff for the freezer so these crispy sweet potato fries that we tried, I think three stores ago , and we love them, and all of us. enjoys them, so we bought four bags of those and they were all in the range of 122 to $20 a bag, we got three bags of organic corn, three bags of mixed berries, which is my favorite, some blueberries, peas, mixed greens , cherries, so we used most of This in smoothies and then this one broke when they brought it here.
I showed this one off on my last Costco

haul

. This is a stir fry mix and one of these bags works for two large stir fries for our family so I purchased. two bags of those are really good, super easy for the Knights. I don't want to cook well, hello lady, what are you doing? This is Alex, we have a mix of berries and cherries. This is one I haven't tried yet. I usually just buy it. this one, but it was organic so I thought I'd try it a couple of bags of tortillas, these sausage rolls are actually for the same friend the toilet paper is for and then three things of cabbage rolls, they did a good job at prepare them.
So that's it for the freezer stuff. I think Costco always has really good quality clothes at a really good price, so I'm going to show you everything Okie makes. We have this sweater. One of my daughters has very blue eyes and looks really lovely. in this color it was $17 and this little one here so this was a 16 it's a really cute little sweater a couple of different pairs of sweatpants this is not priced but they were about $15 and I bought a pair of pairs. of sweatpants, one of my sons loves these type of cargo style Levis and they were $18 each so I bought him a pair of those with a pair of sweatpants.
It was so cute, this is for my youngest son who loves pink. It's not adorable but I love the inside of the hoodie it's really cute $17 and this Roxy is a good brand so they'll hold up and then I bought another one for one of my older daughters who is definitely more of a blue girl, but I love it. I think it's really nice, so they had these that were just a t-shirt and a long sleeve t-shirt. These were $16 for both and Pruma is also a good brand that holds up, so I bought two sets of those. in different colors and then these are just some simple t-shirts for one of my older daughters, I mean they were $13 or something, very good price and nice color, and this is for summer, so small sleeveless t-shirt. and some shorts for my younger pink lover and this is another of Puma's t-shirts.
My kids were excited about those simple t-shirts. I think these were around $10 a t-shirt, yeah that's right, I thought they were such cute little sparkles. On it and then he had cute little pants on that I thought were really adorable. They look great on my girl jeans, just nice simple jeans, so a couple pairs of different types of jeans were about $18 for all pairs of jeans. which is a really good price and then I also bought a pair of pajama pants for the kids and these were about $15 or so too and then I bought some things for myself for the kitchen so just some plate holders and I thought these were A really pretty color to go with the pretty scenic green, doesn't it look good on your kitchen cabinets?
And then some really simple curtains for the family room downstairs. We just finished renovations on our downstairs family room. In fact, we gutted it. to the poles and I rebuilt it so that these are going to go down there and then I cut my kids' hair and the set of hair clippers that I have I've been using for 15 years, maybe not that long, maybe more. Like 10 years and it's definitely seen better days so this was $50 and what I like about it is that the battery and plug are optional so I hate trying to avoid thecord when I cut my kids' hair, so it's exciting.
I think that's it, the total for all of this was $3,184. I'm actually really happy with the fact that we ended up buying it, since I just showed you a lot of non-food related things with this tour, so all the clothes, the rugs. the curtains, all that extra stuff too and that's total, so it's not just at Costco, it's also at the Wholesale Club and I was thinking, because I know this is going to be a very short video, I'm going to make some homemade mayonnaise . I haven't made mayonnaise for a few years so I thought I'd make a batch of mayonnaise with you. and maybe also mix up some seasonings for some salad dressings so we'll do that and I'm also going to cut up these poor sad frozen leaves here and I'll put them in the living room.
I think they're going to look so pretty, I love the variety of these leaves, it's not that pretty, so it's funny to me because I've never been one to worry too much about things looking pretty, but the older I get, the more I become like this and I think it's more just because my kids are growing up now and I can keep the spaces nice and tidy, whereas when I had a bunch of little kids, as you know, for those of you who are in that phase of life , there's usually clutter everywhere and you can't get pretty things out, all my pretty things have been in storage for a long time for fear of them breaking and I'm really enjoying right now just making things look pretty, it's fun and it's Very unlike me, my husband is surprised all the time when I say I want to buy something because I think it would make the space look nice.
He thinks it's funny. I wanted to have a plant there, but I think what I'm going to do is move this little one up here, my daughter-in-law started this one for me and as this one will come and then it'll go down the sides of my shelf from there, so I think I'll put it this one up there and these don't need Perfect Light either, they can handle a darker spot like up there so I'm going to put this one up there yeah I like it I'm just going to have to I'm sure I take it off when I water it because the shelf has light and electrical items up there, so we'll have to be careful with that, but we'll put this one up here.
I'm not sure if it's the right thing to do. place for that I feel it is not. I work a lot at this table here because it's fantastic, it stands up so I can work without hurting my back and I love that, but I'm not sure I have the plant there I think I could change these two, no. Oh, you know where I could put this, although we actually exchange these again. I know where I'm going to put this now, let's put it right there. I like to have it. the green there and I like to have the three plants like that, but maybe I need to get a different colored pot because the white disappears with the already white fireplace.
Some of you who are good at interior design probably say: oh I just need to go put it here. I feel like I need a plant up there, although I think it's better. It will work for now. Making mayonnaise couldn't be easier. You could use a blender. I find a blender a little. easier because when you're putting the oil in you need to do it pretty slowly and I think using the immersion blender and drizzle the oil at the same time is a little bit harder, but I like to use my blender. I haven't actually made mayonnaise in a while, but it's so easy that it's one of those things that once you know how to make it you'll never forget, so we'll use two eggs. teaspoons of lemon juice, you can use fresh lemon juice, that's better, but I don't have any, so I'm going to use this teaspoon of salt.
I also like to add a little mustard powder to mine. use the egg yolks, so we need to separate our yolks a little more gracefully than that, hopefully for you, our yolks from our whites and that's going to go right into our blender. You can double this recipe here too, but because it's raw egg, it will only last a couple of days in the refrigerator, so it's best to make a smaller batch. In fact, I'm going to use this to make

ranch

dressing, and I'll show you how I do it. that in a minute, but my

ranch

dressing recipe calls for mayonnaise, so I'm going to make some mayonnaise.
The whites from here are going to go to my pigs, so we have our oil ready. I like to use something with a spout. to make it easy to drizzle in my blender, we'll add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, half a teaspoon of salt, a little bit of mustard powder, then we'll turn on our blender and blend them together. I'm just going to put it on a low heat and then I'm going to very slowly drizzle in the oil until it's all incorporated and there we go, beautiful, beautiful yellow mayonnaise, it's not that beautiful, it couldn't be easier, so we have about a cup and a little more mayonnaise here and I only need half a cup for this recipe.
I'm going to put it in the mayonnaise that I made yesterday in this jar, so I already have some mayonnaise here, so I'm going to To add that to this, today I'm going to make egg salad sandwiches for lunch, so I can use most of it. part of this mayonnaise. Here, we're going to put this back in the refrigerator and now we're going to make some ranch dressing, so to this we're going to add half a cup of sour cream and half a cup of milk, we're going to add about a teaspoon of chives or a little bit more.
These are freeze-dried chives, so I'm going to If I want to let this sit for about an hour, just to let them rehydrate a little bit so they're not so crunchy, we're going to add a little bit of freeze-dried parsley and a little bit of garlic powder. So how many? How much or how much of these seasonings you add will depend entirely on what you like, but these are the base ingredients for ranch dressing, so you'll add a little onion powder and a squeeze of lemon juice. salt a little bit of pepper and of course a little bit of dill and I'm going to add a good teaspoon of dill because I really like dill and we're going to give it a quick mix that smells really good so now we're just going to put this in a jar and I keep it in the refrigerator and again the same as with the mayonnaise because I am using mayonnaise with the raw egg, this should use up in a few days but I am eating large amounts of salad so if I did I don't mention this for those who are new , we participated in a pantry challenge for the last few months and didn't go to the grocery store, so we didn't have fresh vegetables for most of the month of January and then for the entire month.
February, so I may be exaggerating the amount of salads I plan to eat in the next week. Well guys, that's all for me today. I hope you enjoyed today's video and I hope to see you in the next one, bye.
