Mario Kart 8 | Newton's Worst Nightmare - Scott The Woz

May 30, 2021
hey, I'll explore here, what will it be?, hey, this is a slash, so Mario, code seven, it happened, there's nothing we can do about it, what can the series do next? I get it,

a was a series that went back to even using numbers and it's easily the game that had the most writing see the release for Wii U Nintendo's least favorite little disappointment that the system was having a hard time without crashing I mean, How is it possible? It was released in November 2012 with and then a A year later in 2013, the teams got more exciting with the release of I'm really trying to be fair, of course the Wii U had some solid games at this time, but not were enough to get people interested in the console that launched the Mario games.

For the system they were fine, but they look like any other Mario game. Zelda remake Lego game, a game that was released the same week as Grand Theft Auto 5, the third entry in each series that was virtually dormant for a decade in gaming and Wario. What the hell is a game in Wario? It's all these games, we have different levels of goodness, but can you really blame someone with a pulse for not buying a Wii U? Oh my goodness, what the Wii U needed was a Nintendo game that looked meaningful. better and more fun than any other Nintendo game we've played in the past.

More Interesting Facts About,

mario kart 8 newton s worst nightmare scott the woz...

One of the problems with the Wii U was that most of the games you would buy a Wii U for were pretty similar to the games you already had on your Wii. We needed a game with mass appeal that felt like a huge step forward from previous generations his mustache moves in the wind

a was Wii U's big chance to redeem itself the system's killer app until the console launched, which it's kind of and when Mario Kart 8 came out the console was rocky as stated above, the Wii U launched in November 2012, I'm sure it was contrary to what most will say, the launch was pretty solid in my opinion, there's a lot to play and no game has made anyone but the die-hard Nintendo Fan who will buy anything the console releases, what's more, yes, but if you bought the consulate release, it had plenty to play with.

Nintendo Len was so much fun, new, Super, my brothers, you gave your thumb something to do. for a few hours and nothing more, the third party games weren't exciting, I mean Mass Effect 3, oh my god, it wasn't released 8 months ago and not everyone hated it, regardless of whether you had stuff to play on the Wii U and then January arrived. There was no watch on the Wii U horizon in terms of game releases for a few months, sure Rayman Legends was scheduled for February, but Ubisoft said our OK M-rated zombie game exclusive to us didn't sell as well as we wanted . delaying Rayman and putting it on other platforms the same month as Grand Theft Auto 5.

I'm still not sure if it was a good idea or not, basically there wasn't much coming until March, something good to step up and give them to fans a reason to be excited and what followed was easily one of the best moments for a Wii U owner, aside from being discontinued, the Wii U direct focused on reaffirming the games we already knew were coming along with the some mild ad and many of these ads were for games. that were far from being released any time soon, like the shin megami tensei crossfire emblem that ended up releasing in 2016, since not when yoshi's woolly world looked a little different and was simply called yarn yoshi at the time, the next Zelda title that would later be a breath of time.
It was discussed, but the game reveals of that century turned out to be a new 3D Mario game and a new Mario Kart. Now nothing was said or shown about these other than they will be at e3 this year. Personally, I was more excited about the new one. 3D Mario game, these kids can be so incredibly amazing that they have defined their generations in gaming and set the standard for games to follow, so Mario was crying like okay, let's be fair, an original 3D Mario was something as well as the Wii U. I needed to feel justified with its banana boat controller, surely a 3D Mario would take advantage of it.
I mean, the Nintendo 64 controller was made with Mario 64 in mind. III came in 2013. I'm sad anyway, I was obviously happy for a new mario kart, but I felt the same way when I won the previous title. Mario Kart 7 came out. I just wasn't that excited. I mean, Mario karts. Mario Kart is more of an inevitability than a big event when one was released at the time. I think he was still upset. was bad in Mario Kart Wii III It came in 2013. I'm glad, oh my god, this game seemed like a huge step forward for the series to this point.
Mario was never really a great graphical showcase for whatever system was on it, he always looked nice enough. but most of the time the presentation ranged from disappointing to pretty good. Mario Kart 8 actually seemed to be taking advantage of the hardware it was running on who defined the sliding and underwater segments. It was quickly revealed that Room 7 would be returning along with the Mario Kart Wii bikes. With an important element, this game highlights the anti-gravity function. See now the tracks can twist and turn and it says the manager can go to the walls. Newton was a anyway at the end of the trailer.
Mario's cart does this and forms a Nintendo 8c. they said they called it Mario Kart 8 because there's a course that looks like a Mobius strip that looks like an 8, so you know, let's call this Mario Kart 8, even if this was the third Mario Kart, they would still call it Mario Kart 8. It was detailed that Mario Kart TV is a way to share replays of your races with others online and the release date was that if you owned a Wii U in June 2013, you should not know that this game will basically not appear for one more . That year that was not the best time for my ears.
I saw what happened to the Nintendo 3DS when it was released in the spring of 2011. During that year it had problems due to the high price and lack of software, but it all came together on that holiday with a price cut and the bacta bag releases of a 3D Mario game and a Mario Kart that never ships. Look at this. He did very well. It had a ton of wonderful games and continued to see game releases in 2019. My goodness, things were lining up for the Wii U to experience the same thing. favorite with a 3D Mario and Mario Cart in the works but Mario Kart would come a little later unfortunately but obviously I was the best as the game was still a little early as far as the gameplay from demo 3 that year changed a bit for its release tons of UI modifies the game mechanics, the music wasn't finalized yet and they used music from Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart Wii in some places, but hey, while we're at it, who's coming back after being eliminated from Mario Kart 7 That's right, they were brave. information would go dark until December 2013, a new trailer appeared after Rosalina was announced for Smash Brothers for 3ds and Wii U that opened with a reference to Mario Kart and made everyone wonder if Kirby would be in Mario Kart 8 yes not, but in The Mario Kart 8 trailer that followed baby Daisy showed new courses and characters and, fortunately, it wasn't long until we even saw Laurin during the February 2014 live, a new trailer debuted and this It was great to hide that he actually said this.
As beautiful as this game was, this trailer focused on the announcement that the seven Koopalings would be playable racers. Thank goodness this was a pretty interesting ad initially, but I think people realized how ridiculous it was when they saw the final character select screen like go crazy, this is your brain Jesus made seven to murrs just over a month later was when Nintendo was going into full press mode with this, April came around and they invited tons of gaming journalists to try out a near final version of the game and along with it. we got another new trailer showing more new track characters and finally some new items.
The most important aspect of this trailer was the reveal that Rainbow Road from Mario Kart 64 was returning and looked beautiful which made me finally discover what it was. Hell, they were doing with the editing at this point. Does anyone remember the official Nintendo videos in 2013? They couldn't figure out how to capture their own gameplay footage. This marker. I sure wish they had this fun transition to the n64 Rainbow Road reveal. They actually knew what they were doing, they knew how iconic that track was, they felt like they were proud of Mario Kart 8 and they wanted to show it off.
Listen a month later, the live stream of Mario Kart 8 randomly appeared on YouTube. What could this be? 30- one minute comedy sketch I'm not complaining, it was a little unnecessary the final details of the game were presented here a month before its release, such as the final clues and elements of the new characters, a Wii U console bundle and an offer For Club Nintendo members, if you registered your game within the first two months you could choose one of four games to download for free. I never understood that this promotion was not that all Wii U are already going to buy Mario Kart 8.
It would make more sense to do this promotion with Baena. 2 - well I got a fake man 3 for buying Mario Kart 8. Nintendo forcefully gave me a free game for buying a game where I would have bought them both separately for full price, the nerve of them and that was more or less Mario Kart 8. Until its release on May 30, it was an exciting time. 2014 was really the year the Wii U fully felt like a solid console with Mario Kart and Smash Brothers coming out later that year. I have many fond memories of waiting for this. game to go out and see all the trailers and reviews I could during that perfect time of year in the spring, where the weather is perfect, but not only did it feel nice outside, but we also released this amazing game in the lead up to and eventual release of this game with a lot of love, of course, something I look forward to in every Mario Kart game is the battle mode, which we already knew that Nintendo was not detailing everything with this game that we knew nothing about. until its release but you know you can't screw up battle mode that much at

worst

it'll probably go back to being like mario kart wii and even then that was tolerable it just wasn't my favorite so anyway give it a try look at the game that saved the Wii U the game that justified the Wii U the game here is Mario Kart 8 with a red case and everything yes, it goes great with the blue header and the white spine in blue wait Nintendo, let's talk, I understand why gave a game like New Super Mario Brothers, we're a red box, I mean all the art on the box is red, including the spine, it was cute and it was something unique, but if you're going to go to the extent of making the box red Why not go all the way and make other parts red like the Wii U Milius header?
The box art is fantastic, it looks a lot like Mario Kart DS, but with real color and all that, apparently, if you follow the logistics of where the racers are. Maureen Peach is supposed to go the wrong way on the track, another Mario Kart tradition lives on. She hangs the art from the box. You know, she could have bought the limited edition of Mario Kart 8. It was only available at the Nintendo World store in New York. Scratch. I couldn't have acquired it. Tad's, what you call a limited edition, is only available in a specific place, at least here in the US, it was much more available in other countries.
I want to know how I know. Here's the European version of the same damn game and here's the North American version, they both come with a damn shell, well if I can't own that stupid thing I guess the only thing I can do is play this stupid thing. Hey, I can't believe I can. Have a lot of fun inserting a disk and I haven't even done anything yet. This is a glorious moment and my ears are digging every second. Maricar de presents reflections recorded live and bets on this jazz vibe. It's incredible music and Maricar. It was never bad, but most of the games sounded the same, like here's the title screen of Mario Kart 7.
I'm using music from Mario Kart Wii here, they all blend together for me again, not bad, but not me. Not hearing any defining characteristics of DS music compared to Weezer 7/8 has its own flavor and the fact that it's all recorded live gives the soundtrack a sense of importance that the series lacked up to this point, the title screens theme is amazing and after For a while in game, the Super Mario Kart status theme and tons of Mario cards have had the Super Mario Kart theme included in their main themes, but there is something that is feel very good about the implementation and eight.
I love letting the menus know what I'm going to do, well I'm going to character selection, so naturally this would be your starting list and you would unlock more characters just by playing in the Grand Prix, you would unlock a random character for winning a new Cup, that's whatwhich it definitely does. Things are pretty simple, but my god, I worked my ass off to unlock Kingboo, Petey Piranha and Double Dash, that was a

nightmare

, but I'm so proud of The Rock's memory card, yeah, I mean, yeah, and I was missing everything, but I feel absolutely nothing when I look. character select screen complete for multiple reasons ilysm Mario Kart 8 has the most playable characters in the series, yes there are some baffling exclusions and the new drafts, remember when I said they introduced the Koopalings as characters, those are your new.
Welcome, this character selection is like a weird combination of Mario Kart Wii and seven with some characters that make no sense to be here with series staples excluded for seemingly no reason, Bowser jr. The diddy kong tribe owns kingboo Berto, he is not playable in this game, while Metal Mario returns from Mario Kart 7, baby Peach and Baby Daisy return from Mario Kart Wii, and like I said, see the playable Koopalings in that original trailer It was great, but they broke up. being really the only new characters we have in this game and when seven of the thirty playable characters are variations of the exact same idea, but that's not all, we have two other new characters in the form of baby Rosalina, listen as your resident player from Mario Galaxy in that game didn't have a backstory for Rosalina and I will say baby Rosalina is pointless baby luigi that's fine and of course rose gold peach metal Mario someone could give it to her.
A pass to Ridley is enough, a metal version of Mario has been a part of Mario games for quite some time and in Mario Kart 8 the effect looks great. I don't like it here, but I won't waste a picket on it. Pink gold. Peach and baby Rosalina too, we were never part of the Mario series before this game, they were put here because they were easy to develop, you just take baby Peach in the Baby Daisy models and modify them a little BAM, baby Rosalina. you take the peach maker all in rose gold, BAM, skin disease, Mario Kart, a list may be big, but it's so focused on filler that it doesn't seem like we have as much variety as before, don't get me wrong, there's still enough characters.
Choosing from the selection could be much worse, but Marne Car Wheeze had much more variety in terms of characters of different shapes, sizes, colors. I'm not the biggest supporter of donkeys, but I'd rather have one Berto than five children, let's see how much of this. The list is pure filler, so we have five babies at most. I think three would be fine, so let's eliminate two metal ones. Mario and Pink Gold Peach are the definition of filler characters. Only Mario and Peach with lead poisoning cut them off at the seven Koopalings. Honestly, you just need Bowser Jr. to represent what they represent, so remove six of them and the remaining one we could label as a work in progress of Bowser jr. and there we have it, about a third of the rest is taken up by pure filler, the other two thirds are the typical Mario Cart model, nothing stands out too much when moving forward with the car customization, returns from Mario Kart 7 with the The menu customization looks like they took the bottom screen in Mario Kart 7 and put it in my TV protector.
The customization is exactly the same since it wasn't 7, that's fine, but I ended up thinking it wasn't Mario Kart Wii, it was It's much faster to choose your pre-built kart. It gives me the illusion that I'm building my own vehicle, but it doesn't feel like my creation or anything like that. It just seems to take longer to choose a kart. Now how are we doing? We went to the slopes, selected the first cup and finally they changed the scoring formula. It's actually more marker, it's more similar to Mario Kart 7, almost all the features that the creator introduced in the game returned in 8, so I hope now it makes sense why Mario Kart. 7 isn't that appealing for me to go back to, it's basically tomorrow.
In kart 8, we have underwater sliding sections, the controls feel more or less the same, and of course, who could forget the coin seriously? Who could? There are five letters. It's not as difficult as the first-person view made it in return, although can we really call this a sequel now that it's a Wii U game? Surely this game uses the Wii U controller. You'd be surprised Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze as a Wii U game and I don't remember when the Wii U was first rumored, the only thing people really knew at the time was that the controller would have a screen, some specific idea that people had was to turn that screen into the rearview mirror of a Mario Kart.
A game that would be hell, man, and having to look up and down from the gamepad to the TV screen. God, now here they have some light touch screen controls if you want to live that way and during a race it's a horn. I love that this controller is unique. single-handedly made the Wii U much more expensive than it needed to be and its main use in major games is a speaker to be fair we can't cycle through different modes we can show what's on the TV and show a map which is useful, but do you think you could play split screen multiplayer this way, with one person getting their own full view on the gamepad while the other person gets the full TV, knowing that if you're playing multiplayer local, the gamepads screen is a Split Screen just like the excellent split screen multiplayer on the television and Mario Kart 8 is a bit lacking in general, not only because of the lack of asymmetrical multiplayer support but because when you play with three or more people, the frame rate is halved to 30 frames. a second listen, I'm not that picky, but it's very noticeable how choppy this game gets when played with more people.
It's okay, but it's a little jarring, probably more noticeable because outside of multiplayer with more than three people, this game runs smoothly. butter, looks and feels amazing, the character models look extraordinary, the lighting and small details on the tracks, the vehicles, the drivers themselves, this is not only the most attractive Mario Kart game, but also one of the most attractive Nintendo games in general, these drugs. They're packed with detail, all these racing ads and nods to the Mario universe make these courses really feel like they're part of the Mario world and not just random Mario Kart tracks that didn't waste any area other than the audience. here it goes well come on the rest of the game looks great but you're just going to make the audience look like cardboard of course Mario Kart 8 features anti-gravity racing, something different from anything Mario karts has experienced so far and you're looking at it Right now this is an antigravity race, it is not the same as a normal race.
I swear, anti-gravity and Mario Kart is a little strange considering it seemed like it was going to be a much more obvious feature in the marketing, the camera really. sells you the trick, if you run on the roof they will be upside down in the real game and the camera constantly stays behind the player at the same angle all the time, so if you are upside down it's not immediately noticeable, it's only when you're right next to the walls you'll know instantly when you pass a blue strip your wheels go sideways and you just won a hover car when you run into these safety hazards or other racers you get a little boost and that stays constant until you pass a blue stripe again and then we are back to reality.
Antigravity may have seemed like a marketing gimmick. I didn't say it wasn't the trailers and the commercials really ruined it by making it seem like a big deal. It always shows the racers upside down and around the wall when you're playing, yes it may be upside down here but this feels like your everyday Mario Kart, it's not even that noticeable when you're on the roof but how un- The really added gravity is in the design of Saint's Rack now that the developers don't have to comply with the laws of physics because we all know that was a constant of Mario Kart in the past, these tracks can go absolutely crazy, they twist and create older routes.
In comparison, you feel like a pedestrian. It's a similar addition to the underwater sections of Mario Kart 7. Initially it doesn't feel that different, but when you look at how it affects the layout of the track, it definitely allows for a lot more creativity. It's a real game changer and makes these courses not only aesthetically interesting, but allows the core design to be as well. As for items, we have the mainstays at this point, basically everything returns from Mario Kart 7 except the super blade and the Lucky 7; instead, this time we got the Crazy Eight. It's the same as the lucky 7, but now a coin is thrown into the mix, the piranha plant is new and appears in front of you for a short period of time fighting anything nearby, the runners items you put on it name, it automatically bites you and every time it does it to you. it speeds up a bit but you can get stuck at the end but if you just want to finish the boring flower you can throw it in front of it behind you three times and the super horn blesses everything around it and can destroy anything and can pee.
The desperation of other runners and, most notably, the blue spiny shell. Before this, you would have to use a mushroom to outrun a blue shell and even then that was tricky. I've searched for videos about people who ran away faster than the blue shell and the Maricar wheat just because I could. I can't imagine that ever happening, what does it look like, what happens when you get a blue shell in the first place? This is an item that you always want to have with you first and it's always a tough decision on whether or not to use it on a red shell that's about to hit you, for example, or wait for a blue shell to appear to use it because most Of the time, if you end up securing a super horn, that means Sutan has to follow a blue shell, however, all the new items are all ok, I don't mind the boomerang or piranha plant, but they don't really leave much of an impression.
I really feel empowered when I get them, but the Super Hornet is a very strategic weapon and I love its inclusion because it ties into One of the biggest problems people had with Mario Kart 8 that I loved seeing in previous states, you could grab something like a banana peel to defend yourself from behind while defending yourself, you could grab another item to store in your item slot here. In Mario Kart 8 you can only keep one item at a time if you are defending with a banana, you cannot grab another item in reserve, on top of that I initially refuse to mention that coins can now be an option in the item roulette that makes them an immediate threat to public health yes there just aren't enough coins on the track when I pick up a box of items I'm asking for a coin you get a coin as an item it's incredibly annoying but that's that interesting.
Strategy for Mario Kart 8. You can use your item to grab another, but it can be a coin and leave you defenseless. You have to bet your options every time you use an item in previous games. When you go through an item box, you get something. with which you can defend yourself at least here. Don't know. I like the element of strategy that the unique sliding coin brings. Here everyone else can help. You can see why, like I said, the new elements are not. That's cool, they're fine, but combine it with just one element and the coins, and this is one of the most boring elements in Mario Karts.
As for balance, it's actually pretty good. I mean, there were a few times where I got a Crazy Eight in third place. I don't remember selling my soul for it, but overall this is one of the less optimistic Mario karts, it feels much fairer, there is a very clear strategy to use with the items, but since I recently played Mario Kart Wii, it is obviously more frustrating. It's the balance of elements, but my goodness, it was more interesting. The elements of Mario Kart AIDS feel too bland and when I look back at the garbage I put up with a Mario Kart Wii, I miss it in comparison, the balance was so crazy it made it fun. in its own way, I'm not saying that balance is completely boring, like I said.
I like the strategy involved with the items now, but the score is double, and we feel more like what everyone expects from a Mario Kart madness that happens every moment with eight. much more on autopilot with these items hold the banana until someone throws a shell at it grab another item box pray it's not a coin motherfucker grab another item box then I say like the item setup in this game, no Let's do it, but I can only see why a lot of people didn't, but one thing I hope we can all agree on is how amazing literally every clue in this game I gave you is, you knocked it out of the park, every track is in the same At least pretty good, now everyone has their own unique background music, which, interestingly, is a first for Mario Kart.
Eachgame had a couple of courses that shared music. Everything here is unique and sublime, even the tracks that are quite basic have this wonderful feel to them. style for them and then we have the tricks that are incredibly complicated and they are happy to experiment and they just love the selection in this one starting in the Hongo Mario Kart Stadium Cup. I love the atmosphere here, it feels like it's a superstar water park and I'm a generic name for a water park that's obviously Wario themed. This is my favorite feature of the Mario Kart 8 drama. Sweet Sweet Canyon is all about donuts the type that's the Ohio track to describe that makes you look crazy if you tried to make the good Donuts womp bruins it's cool because there's a section here which uses anti-gravity sliding and underwater sections ooh new face rocks own ruins Mario circuit the mobius strip on which the name of the game is based I never really think of this track for figure eight layout I usually remember it because of the drama Toad Harbor will have bags here that must mean it's good this is just a very happy feeling follow the sunlight the cable car are all different paths to race on this is one of the first tracks you think of when you think of the twisted mansion from Mario Kart 8 ?
Do you really think a haunted house would be scary if it flooded if I'm underwater? The last thing that scares me is a ghost. I love the wavy floors and the Knights that attack you at the end of this one and they are timid guy falls. I usually group this together with ruins in my mind, but they are quite different tracks. I drive to a waterfall. There is a little corner where you can fly to a completely different sun. Airport this would not fly in real life, but it is a fantastic runway. I wish they had a longer section inside the airport, but I can't really complain considering the outside is probably much more interesting.
Dolphin Shoals is about jumping in and out of the water riding an eel again, this is physically improbable, electronic drums is the highlight course of the game, it is the most visually and musically attractive, it has so many colors and lights with the music synchronized with the action and is followed by Mount Wario, a large three-section hike. You start from a plane and travel throughout the ski resort to the end and the music adapts to the segment of the race you are on. This is the best Cup in Mario Kart history. I see what's next, oh my god, what?
I'm glad Tom Cruise is fantastic. I mean, he has a Mario Galaxy remix as background music. You vomit in my face: music by Mario Galaxy. I'd say it's a good Mario Kart track, but then we move on to completely dry dunes. probably my least favorite track in the game, it's not bad at all, but it's easily one of the ones that feels inspired by the lease. I just don't like the desert areas and all the track games here, this is the one I care least about. visiting in real life what there is to do here, Bowser's Castle, is a step forward.
I love how this giant Bowser attacks down different paths but ends with a fantastic Rainbow Road, obviously if you make a staple of any Mario Kart, every game has to be ended with its own iteration of the iconic track and with this game which has antigravity as a trick. I couldn't wait to see Mario Kart 8 Rainbow Road, especially after seeing the n64 remake. This is boring, it's not a bad track, it's just pretty. It's definitely basic compared to the Mario Kart 7 version, you go down a rainbow road, which is a good start and then we go to a space station and then we go to another rainbow road and repeat, okay, but for awesome Whatever, all the other tracks are shocking.
I, Rainbow Road with the anti-gravity mechanic, is very basic in this game, but like I said, it's still a good track. All of these are only half of the story and the other 16 are retro tracks, obviously these have been a feature of the series. for quite a while, but most games seemed to fill in more tracks to give you more content, it was nice to have them safe, but you could almost always tell what was a retro track and what wasn't, and Mario Kart 8 completely redid it all. and the retro tracks look just as new, if not newer, than the new tracks.
They did an antigravity remake. All Music even changed some things aesthetically, like Mario Kart Wii's Moo Moo Meadows, which takes place during sunrise and is now beautiful. I love the tracks. chosen, they're sure they had to choose courses they haven't yet remastered in previous games, so some fan favorites didn't make the cut, but jeez, we got some greys, it's so much fun to watch moo moo Meadows Toads Turnpike Royal Raceway Wario Yoshi Valley stadium ticking clock and of course n64 Rainbow Road, they changed it to be a three section walk instead of a three lap track, not half the fun of the original was that it was too long and exhausting to complete online.
It works great instead of giving you the option to select any track in the game to play online with random people and it doesn't give you a random selection of three, which I prefer. I've found that when you give me 32 tracks to choose from, I'll probably just choose the same one over and over again or it'll take too long to pick one every three makes the wait easier to choose and prevents tracks from repeating too often online. great in this case, but it's very difficult to make friends. people and ask them for their email with these pre-made chats, we can save replays and edit them with Mario Kart TV, post them to YouTube and I won't watch them again, it was a stupid feature anyway, you could create 30 second highlights. reels of your career, but hey, it wasn't a big deal for me, in terms of other ways in which stamps get stamps in this game for completing time trials and beating Grand Prix with different characters, originally you were able to use these stamps. in miiverse it wasn't a stupid feature anymore anyway, speaking of Grand Prix, when you finish one you only get a highlight video of one of your races, not the traditional awards ceremony scene.
I mean, it's no big deal, at least we get these cool trophies. designs so amazing we can even touch them with our thumbs on the gamepad the lack of a safe cutscene, the way it's presented here makes sense in the context of the whole Mario Kart TV thing, but it was a hasty plan, obviously not, not mine mario karta they put so much love and attention into every little detail of this game this was probably an example of no we want this to make mario kart tv feel more like a sports broadcast anyway , we have one more mode to try and that is the battle.
Battle mode has been a staple of the Mario Kart series since the beginning, but it was seemingly getting less and less attention with each entry, and of course, with Mario Kart 8, Nintendo barely mentioned it until almost 20 seconds after it released all of them. balloon battles. We arrived here and what moo moo meadows, but that's Trek. Oh my god, wait. I'm not supposed to talk about this yet, let's talk about updates, so Maricar's day wasn't perfect right out the door, it wasn't perfect, there never was. some major issues at launch like after clearing the option to move on to the next race would be the second option, the first option was to watch a highlight reel and the map was not available on the tv screen you can only see it on the gamepad. probably fixes them via a free update in August 2014 that came along with the Mercedes-Benz auto parts cut, tell a dealer it made him want a Mercedes, well it plays well with the dome and the GLA goes with his eyes, it was really strange to have something like that.
Blatant product placement in a Mario game, but I only lost a couple nights of sleep over it, but during the summer of 2014 it was fully announced that Mario Kart 8 would be receiving paid DLC packs, both crossed over with various Nintendo IPs that you can pre. -purchase the DLC packs for twelve dollars total or eight dollars separately and it was crazy. Six new characters, 16 new tracks, car ports and by purchasing both we got multicolored Shyguys and Yoshi, yes DLC pack one offers two new cups, the egg cup. and the Triforce Cup with Tanooki Mario and Kat Peach and Link guesses which one is the most interesting.
The tracks on offer are incredible. The Yoshi track from Double Dash is back. Excitebike Arena as a tribute to exciting cycling. It's so much fun on so many ramps and areas. doing tricks outside of Dragon Driveway is amazing and Silent City was Nintendo's most recognized zero in years. The Wii and SNES Mario goldmine Rainbowroad is back. The retro tracks they brought back were a little more interesting than some of the ones they chose. for the base game as Grumble Volcan and some of these were already remade in older games, so it's nice to see that they were willing to double-dip a little.
Isais, it's a pretty boring post, not bad, but it's not my first choice at all and the Hyrule circuit is wonderful. The journey through the world of Zelda DLC back 1 was incredible, it came at the perfect time for me, just as I was starting to get a little older from Mario Kart 8 in November and bam, here are some awesome new tracks and things to bring it to life. Includes amiibo support, we can unlock character outfits for your encounter, it's a dream come true, DLC pack 2 came in April 2015 and it was a bit boring for me, the clues didn't let me get into this pack with too much of a baby.
Double Dash returned, which was the cheese land of the GBA. I was glad to see them do a real run through with these GBA tracks, but it's really nothing that stands out for me. The wild woods felt like a minor maple road from Mario Kart Wii to me and Good Name from Animal Crossing, it's a fun course, that kind of season is decided at random, so it stays pretty cool, but then there's a neo Bowser City from Mario Kart 7, this just wasn't interesting enough to warm up to, bringing back the Ribbon Road from the GBA is great. one, although it is in a child's room and has many fun details.
The Super Bell subway is fine and we have another f-zero track. I'm not complaining, but I can do it if I just want to make a new f-zero Nintendo. a Nintendo fan, that's a catchphrase of mine, of course, the villager and Isabelle from Animal Crossing became playable along with the dry Bowser, hey, he's back, so the DLC executed it pretty well. Mario Kart 8, but we have more tracks than ever with a better selection of characters, it's great to see. Nintendo was keen to do more crossover content with Mario Kart, but that was far from the biggest story.
Here they added 200cc to the game along with DLC pack 2 as a free update, OMG it was too fast. I remember it was difficult to get it. Originally you had to brake a lot harder in the corners while drifting on most of these tracks they were never designed for this type of speed. Which is a cool little free update for a game that was already one of the best Mario Kart experiences hands down. the best-looking Mario Kart the best-sounding Mario Kart the best-controlling Mario Kart with the best tracks in the series without a doubt I'm a little discouraged by the lack of things to do in the game outside of racing, like basically playing Grand Prix and playing online that's all you can really do, but when it comes down to it, Mario Kart 8 was the definitive Mario Kart experience at the time of its release, but they just had to remove the battle mode to not put up no battle. tracks here they just used the existing ones, okay that's already boring, but they wouldn't have even bothered to alter the tracks a bit to make them more suitable for battle mode.
They are terrible, they are so big and they are designed to be driven around. they are not small closed arenas like battle tracks should be and outside all tracks to choose litotes, bike spin and yoshi valley, why Toad Harbor and when you die in battle mode you come back as a ghost and you can still hurt the other players. That's not fair, what the hell were they doing with this mode? It's ridiculous. I almost would have preferred if they didn't bring him back. At least they would remaster old battle stages and nothing more. That would have been nice, but no.
This is the

worst

mode in any Mario Kart game and it used to be my favorite Nintendo game. What is C? That should show you how bad this mode is. He made me break something, but I still did it out of anger towards Nintendo.
