When it comes to wall mirror decor, you'll love this for this DIY from Dollar Tree. I picked up one of these old plastic package chargers, wooden clothespins, some floral wire, one of these decorative nautical ropes, one of the

tree

s, round mirrors. I will also use a 10 by 10 piece of cardboard and I also bought that from the Dollar Tree. some liquid shoe polish in the colors black and brown to start this DIY. I'm going to take my charger, I'm going to turn it over and here, on the back of the charger, in the middle, in two different places, I'm going to drill holes. two holes in the back of this charger using my drill, if you don't have a drill you can easily use a hammer and a screwdriver and hammer the tip of the screwdriver through your charger and it will give you the hole you need since I have a drill, I'm going to use my drill, leaving me with this, now I take my e6000, if you want to use the Dollar Trees gel, fix everything, you can use that because I have six thousand on hand, that's what I'm going to use.

I'm going to take and place a generous amount of e6000 along the outside edge of this charger. You see there is a decorative beaded border. I'm going to go right under that and just do this charger in sections, I'm not going to put the glue on it. charger full, then I'm going to take my wooden clothespins and I'm going to place them on the outside edge of this charger, putting the edge of this clothespin right on the glue and I'm going to do this around my charger and you should be left with your charger with this aspect.

Now, taking my 10 by 10 piece of cardboard, we're going to make an 8 and 3/4 inch circle and I'll do it using my compass which you can see here on the At the top of the compass are measurements that measure 5 inches. I'm going to place the arrow at the 4 and 3/8 mark, which will then give us an 8 and 3/4 inch circle. This is a compass that you can get at Walmart. or the Dollar Tree for less than a

dollar

when cutting my circle. I'm not going to cut it on the line we just made using our compass. I'm going to cut it about 1/2 inch to a quarter inch. off the line and on the cardboard here on the line, I'm going to put some e6000 on the line, not going around the whole circle, just in sections, then I'm going to put my wooden pins on the cardboard and I'm going to line them up Lift them up just to let the tip of these clothespins sit in the glue on the line and I'm going to do this around my cardboard circle and again, this is what your cardboard circles should

like with the clothespins now taking The Dollar Floral Wire Tree I cut it into a 12 to 15 inch piece.
I'm going to take this wire and put it through the two holes that I drilled and then I'm going to take the two ends. I'm going to twist them together. I'm going to use My pliers twist them together so they're nice and twisted and tight because I don't want these ends to come apart and you should be left with this and when you flip it over on the back now you have a nice sturdy one. Hanger to hang this DIY using black liquid shoe polish. I'm going to use this to dye my closed pants. This is a cheap and affordable alternative to using, say, a Minwax wood stain if you have a Minwax wood stain on hand.
I like it, in the color you like, use it and brush it. This is for those of you who are on a budget. This is a very cheap alternative to wood stain. Another alternative is if you don't want to use the traditional one. wood stains you can use steam coloring. I have a DIY package on how to make colored wood stains. I'll leave the link to that video in the description box below for now I'm using shoe polish because I'm going to use that. rustic farmhouse

look

and I'm going to achieve that by using the black and brown liquid shoe polish like I said.
I'll start on the black icing once I've applied and stained it to my wooden pegs. I'm going to go over the black with the brown liquid which gives me a walnut color, a nice deep dark brown color. I'm looking for the brown liquid shoe polish at Dollar Tree and will eat some on the redder side, so I like to write. of mixing it with the black polish and it really gives a nice rustic dark walnut and dark brown look to whatever wood you're staining and you can really see how adding that brown liquid polish on top of the black makes a difference. it makes the color change that it gives it, it takes it from that ash black color to just a beautiful walnut and that's exactly the color that I'm going to use to leave our clothespins looking like this and I'll do this to wooden clothes pins which are on the cardboard circle and also using the same method giving it the same rustic farmhouse color.
Now taking my Dollar Tree decorative rope and using the combination of e6000 and hot glue, I'm going to glue the rope into the center of this. cardboard circle inside my wooden clothes pins, now I'm going to take my Dollar Tree mirror and on the back of this round mirror, using gorilla glue sticks, I'm going to place a generous amount of glue on the back of this mirror and then simply place the mirror on top of the rope. I'm going to turn the mirror over and on the back of this mirror, on my clothespins, on the tips of each clothespin, I'm going to put a little bit of e6000 glue.
I'm doing it this way. because it's much easier to put the glue exactly where the clothespins are going to touch the bottom set of clothespins, so I'll do this on each clothespin, if you want to do it on all the others you can. I wanted to make sure this is secure, so I'm going to do it on each clothespin, then I'm going to take it, turn it over, and place it right on top of my charger with the clothespins and since there's glue on each of clothespins. I will secure them very well at the bottom with pins.
