More Interesting Facts About,

look what i do with these terra cotta pots beautiful 10 diy...

I can't wait to show you what I do with these DIYs. It is very economical and will cost you less than $10, so let's not waste any more time, let's jump into this DIY. I picked up eight of these round wooden plaques and I picked them up in two different sizes, the three inch and the four inch ones, you can get them at Hobby Lobby when they are also on sale for a dollar. I also purchased four of the square wood plaques and purchased them in the three and four inch sizes as well as two of each size for gluing.

These wooden Plex together I'll use some Elmer's wood glue, it's one I had on hand that I bought at Walmart for pretty cheap. I think I only paid a couple of dollars. I heard Dollar Tree has a wood glue. I don't know how good it is, but for this DIY really, since I'm using wood, I wanted to make sure it was nice and glued. I'm going to glue the three and four inch round plates centering the smaller one on top. of the largest and I'm going to do it four times giving me four sets of plates.

I'm also going to do the same with the square plates by centering the smaller one on top of the larger one once you have all the wooden plates. glued together, you should be left with four round ones and two square ones, and honestly, if you don't want to add squares and you want to make them all round, you can do that. I just wanted to add a little character and change it up a bit. So I thought I'd do the squares too. Now the fun part is the painting. I'll use this Waverly wax paint in the antique color.
You can use it as a dye if you want, you can apply it and then. Wipe off the excess and it will give you a nice dyed

look

. Personally, I love the dark, rich rustic

look

it gives when you paint the wood with this without even wiping off the excess, so I'll give all my wood plaques a good coat. of this Waverly wax paint, okay, next you will need a total of nine mini

pots, like I said. I bought them at Walmart for forty-three cents a piece in the garden section if you go somewhere else like Joanne's Michaels.
I'll pay more than two or three dollars for each one, so your best bet is go to Walmart. I'm going to glue them together and yeah, I'm using wood glue because I already have it, it'll work, it's a good glue for this. and I'm going to stack these pots on top of each other, so I'm going to make four for the first set here. Now I'm going to take three of the pots, glue them together and stack them the same way and then take my last two pots. I'm going to do the same thing and this will give me three different sizes to paint these pots.
I will use Waverly chalk paint in white. This is a matte finish. Personally I prefer a matte finish, I don't like it very much. a glossy finish if you want to use a glossy finish you can. I prefer to also use Waverly paint because it really is a thicker acrylic paint and I think you really get what you pay for, it costs a little more than folk art and Apple Barrel but it will really take less coats to cover because they are a terra cotta pot . I'm going to do more than one coat because it kind of soaks up the paint I feel like, so I'll give all three a really good coat of this white paint once I have all the pots nice and painted with a nice solid base coat of white. , each of the pots has this lip, I thought I would take the Waverly wax paint and a little accent on that lip with the wax paint.
What I love about this is that this wax paint has that transparent look that you can see through it, it's not like a solid acrylic paint and I really love the feeling that it gives a different look, a different feel when doing this look farm trip I've been doing here recently. It really is one of my favorite new looks. It moves away from that black enamel look. I love that too, but I'm such an earth tone person and I love, love, love the look of browns and whites together. I think it's a whole new farmhouse look.
I'm going to do this with all three sets of these pots again using a little Elmer's wood glue because that's what I have on hand and it works great with the terra cotta pots and wood plaques. I'm going to put a little bit of this glue on each end of these pots and then I'm going to place these pots in the center of one of the sets of wooden plates that we glued together and this set happens to be the square set, so I'm going to take the other square set and I will place it on top of the pots.
I'm going to repeat this with the other two sets of pots by placing them glue each end and center them on the remaining plates, which are my round plates, and I'll place one set on the bottom and the top and guess what that time of year is when Dollar Tree is starting to stock these cotton stalks. again, so you're going to want to keep an eye out for them and when you see them, grab them because when I saw them, I bought about 10 of them for some upcoming DIY crafts on a farm using some wire cutters that I'm going to cut myself. the cotton swab itself, these lamb's ears are another item I like to have in stock here at home, you can find them at Walmart for 97 cents a pack which is a fantastic buy.
I love the color, the green is so soft and really goes well with many country houses. I'm using my wire cutters again. I'm going to take them apart just to lower them onto the leaves using a little bit of hot glue. I'm going to glue three of these leaves right where the seam of the two pots meet here and then to cover where the leaves are glued. I'm going to put the cotton ball right there. I wanted to use these lamb's ears because I feel like this green is a very subtle green and it's going to give this DIY just the pop of color that I'm looking for.
I'm going to do this to all three candle holders and place the lamb's ears and cotton at different points on each of these pillars because I don't want it to look repetitive and I think it just adds character if each one looks a little different. These are such an inexpensive set of candle holders that it cost me exactly 993 to make all three, yeah I guess. not including the paint and I bought three of the LED candles from the Dollar Tree so if you want to include the paint and the candles I would say it was right at about fourteen dollars.
I love how these turned out again, they are very versatile set of candle holders that can really be made to fit any decor style by simply changing the pink. I'm obsessed with these colors they just scream at me and if I sound like a broken record I probably am because I want to change everything. to this decorating style because I love the way it feels.
