Lone baby deer asked a family for help. Their response might surprise you.

I've always been a city kid, yeah, and then I ended up raising a Thor beer. I'm Dawn and this is Thor's story for Geo Beats. My husband was in the yard and heard a fawn bleating like a sheep. My husband walked towards the sound and Thor ended up standing on my husband's feet, we knew immediately we needed to call the vet and after they examined Thor they determined that Thor had been abandoned, most likely his mother died. Thor spent the first few weeks lying in silence until his mothers arrived. and feeding them and the fact that Thor was awake and around was really a bad sign, the vet didn't have room for Thor so they sent him back home with us and that was the moment we instantly became a semblance dear, throughout this journey with him I have made it very clear that he was never going to be a pet and that I was going to raise him like a wild animal.

We ended up creating a fairly large enclosure for him, about 15 feet by 30 or 40 feet the first month and I slept outside in a tent near him so he would be safe at night. Well, I fed him every three hours from May until September. He is joining. This is what moms and babies do at night. I did a lot of research and it turns out that

He is gone for periods of time. He's been away about a month. He now he will do it more. He'll probably come back and come hang out with me. He walks through two different worlds somewhere behind us walking around checking things out. It's like we are friends and have a close relationship. When Thor appears, he lifts his tail and that usually means. excitement and a kind of greeting, it's just a happy reunion, it just makes me laugh, like I'm leading them away and then he comes back to me, so he still loves that map to this day, even though he's a big deer now.

He loves to lie on that map. He'll just hang out there for a while. He's fine, he really took care of him and took care of the world. He let me massage his leg and also do some physical therapy to keep it from getting too stiff. He keeps walking. a little, let's exercise you, fortunately he is cured and can run and jump like any other deer. Now this whole trip has been something very, very special. There is a local herd around here of between 14 and maybe 18 deer and Thor is part of that herd. and most of them are probably sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, that kind of thing because Thor trusts me.

He could be in the yard and come sit me, he'll come sit next to me and then the other deer in the herd will sit down. downstairs too, so I'm in this Circle of Trust, which is very, very rare, he taught me to listen more deeply outside and I followed his gaze and there was a deer above moving through the grass and once he caught me I realized it was there, then I started listening and I could actually start hearing the sound of the deer walking and I wouldn't have noticed it otherwise, so it's a deeper level of Awareness about what's going on around me.
