Jun 01, 2021
welcome guys, it was Fox in, in, in, this, with me, are that I'm somewhere, it's closed anyway, that's not important, the important thing is this the new

2020

Super Duke R and I've had this point for a KTM week I've been using it the whole week I've been there. I've been falling in love a little bit, but today in this video I'm just going to talk to you about some of the features that I've been using. I think I quite like this one, join me for a chat and a ride on the new

super

duke

, throw in the intro Topsy, so I've been riding this for about a week, like I say, when if? haven't you seen my first ride review on this bike, as usual I'll put a link there, it's a little hectic, it's a little exciting, this bike is a beast, it's called the beast, but yeah, you should guess from there name This guy what is it about before you even put your leg on him, he is an absolutely crazy lunatic and after I got home from that trip I rode him for about four hours that day, all at probably 60% more than legal . speeds, it's an amazing bike and when I got off it I thought: Is this bike too

much

for the

road

?

Could I ever control myself on a bike like this? That was my biggest concern and since then I've tried to take it easy. on that and today I have literally been doing totals and she is an absolute pussycat. I mean, that's what worries me the most. Would that be too crazy and I'm very happy to say it is? It's not just a one trick pony, this or a one trick Beast, the last few years the manufacturers have managed to feed these new uro missions, they have them working pretty well, but this is a 1,300 CC monster, it's not going to be an easy way to perfectly adjust the fuel delivery at 5% throttle.

More Interesting Facts About,

living with the 2020 super duke r too much for the road...

It's very, very soft, very, very nice and makes it a real pleasure to ride and you can ride it. Now I'm at a stage where I don't. I feel like I have to go everywhere and that was my biggest concern: can you do the slow stuff in third at 30 miles an hour, this is two thousand five hundred revolutions when this would need a

super

guy, this would be the Boogaloo. It will be that territory, it would be very uncomfortable to drive at this speed, but it's perfectly timed, you know, absolutely minuscule input of the throttle, you won't even notice the movement of my wrist, but it's wonderful fuel. 3,000 revs in third gear now if I had to go this is a bit tricky it would just take off look at this at sixty miles an hour that's how ferocious it can be but if you're easy on the throttle low speed refueling is melissa Austrian hairball wasp mole is the mo to be beautiful denied, it's charming and then when you're into the faster stuff the thing just handles itself now it's just an absolute weapon on the twisty bits of asphalt.

Gone is the poor feeling of the front rake, oh, let that discovery go, oh, gone, it's the poor thing of the great feeling. goodbye instability and no instability, well yeah, instability from the front is over, this is taught, this is tight, this is thin, this means he's an amazing guy when you want to do some Hoonah John, let's do other. a little overtaking, run in fifth gear, that's probably pushing fourth gear too

much

, three and a half thousand revolutions or fifty miles per hour, let's overtake, yeah, that's easy enough, you don't even have to lower it, let's just zoom in from 3000 revolutions. from that Quran needs some serious breaks and this bike has serious breaks the latest style the calipers Brembo master cylinder fully braided lines it is said that the brakes on the old bikes on my first ride the old white brakes were never as good as their competitors , so oh they didn't feel wooden, not so on this, the brakes have an absolutely incredible initial feel and then enormous stopping power when you step on them, which is complimented by the exceptional electronics of this bike with full access to 9 IMU up-down left-right how many are there?

I guess it's not there, what that gives you is things like cornering ABS, so not only if you have abs, but when you stop in the corner and you're putting a lot of front brake on it, you have that. ABS protection when driving it you don't even realize it has any you really think you're some kind of

road

demon you can control this machine you don't even realize they're there they're not intrusive when you activate that there's very little to it don't be obvious that you're doing something and I think it's the latest in electronics, you don't know you have them, no one wants to feel like they're being held back all the time. and you just don't, these latest electronic systems are so smart that they are only there to help you and complement your driving, not to hinder you a little, humid air, a little bampi, we have had to be brave enough to do it. fast, so much power, crazy amounts of power, the only electronic device you might want to consider turning off with a hooligan like that is the anti wheelie maybe and the nice thing about this point on the old gen 2 is that you can turn off the empty wheelie and you can leave the traction control on but you had to be in track mode which meant when you were in track mode you couldn't use the cruise control, you couldn't see the time or all that stuff with this bike if you unlock it with the air with the backpacks now it has something called this four rider mode it has something called performance mode now if we go into performance mode shuttle photo it comes back again performance mode allows you to enable the track features so you have slide control there are two buttons here a little bit lighter - oh no and you can adjust the amount of slip on the back where there are nine different levels or number nine will give you a lot of protection but number one is the least protection so I'll do that .
It will let you get out of shape a little bit, but it will still be there to keep you in check so you get all that. You could take it to cruise control and you can still see the time and now you can turn off the anti wheelie and the Altima hooligan settings. Would Aunt Little Horse turn out the year on this bike? Yes, sew with performance and see the wheelie mode. Oh, it's already off. Reader control is already turned off in performance mode. So good in the corners that he has been incredible on the track.
Absolutely incredible on the track. I would love to participate in a day at the track. Oh, it's so snappy it feels short, so it really folds up quickly. They have also reduced the weight of all wheels on this model compared to the previous model because they had to use Euro-5. because they had to add all that stainless steel exhaust, it doesn't weigh C, yes they had to cut a lot on other parts of this bike, this bike is lighter than the previous model. I think it weighs 180 kilos and an 85 kilo DRI is lighter than the previous one and they had to add more stainless steel tips for the jacks and stuff, so it adds a lot of weight, they had to rethink where they were guarding their path and they have done a lot of that on the wheels, the subframe and that has made you pay big dividends down the road for the feel of the bike and there's the new super Duke first we have the Amazon style this work is absolutely fantastic over the style , since we have the WP apex. suspension and all new KTM as you get the traveling jester, the little rubber things, you can see how much travel you're using in your forks.
I love it, I guess they didn't really need that before because I never had preload adjustment, but now they have preload adjustment for this year, the headlights were changed again now there is a big slit in the middle and the air intake is in the center, you can see the little mesh there to keep bugs out, but the inlet is right in the center of the bike and it's the same design, you know, this metal piece in the center of the headlight shaft like the headlight cooling LED, so it's a very, very well thought out design and I really like Look of the bike from the front I think what looks really new for this year is this carbon composite rear end.
Now the old bike, of course, was famous for its trellis frame, which was one of the things that people complained about and that was really lost. but this has its advantages, it's much lighter, I think it gives the bike a sportier look and apparently you can also carry a ridiculous amount of weight here, 500 kilos or something, it's ridiculously strong so you can literally pack all your luggage. house on the back of this bike for commuting if you want and there's another benefit to having this larger rear look at this and look, it's a bike with some rear storage.
You could get something useful in that essentially a reasonably sized tire, yes, a whole. fist inside, but a fist is the butt, no problem at all. I could get my full McDonald's meal there, my McDonald's breakfast, maybe even a little flask of whiskey or something absolutely fantastic, some storage space on your high-performance motorcycle, well, any kind of outdoor bike you like. be. That's incredible, a hooligan, it's also practical, while on the back of the bike I really like to finish the seats. It's plastic, but it's a test, it has a quality feel. You have a little embroidery on the back.
The tail, which is actually a decent size. I think you have a reasonably comfortable passenger if they could actually stay at the back of the tube and hold on. It's not a question of preload. This bike also has a remote preload adjuster for the rear. shock absorber brilliant idea, I mean on many bikes you have the normal preload collar on the shock but you can't really adjust it without removing the shock from the plate, it's not easy to adjust the preload on the rear shock which is really A nice little touch and I've actually ended up with +10 anger to preload the rear shock because I'm a bigger guy which has given me the option to easily adjust it without them having to go into the tool kit or remove the rear shock , so brilliant.
Feature: The wheels are much lighter than the old bike. I never thought I'd really like the design of these when I first saw them, but again, I've really liked them. Only one side of the swing arm is heavily reinforced for this. year, look at that big extra reinforcement and as I'm on my knees while I'm down here you can see the rear linkage on the rear shock, which allowed the rear shock to be much longer, well, there we are, I think. Those are the characteristics indicated, let's go back to yes, I suppose you have noticed. I'm quite enthralled with this.
Are there bad points that are almost talked about? Fantastic things about this machine. Is there something I don't like? few and far between there are a couple of small nickels across the indicator switch it feels a little cheap a little cheap and unpleasant it feels like it could actually break you know it's a little hard but it doesn't have a very nice feel to the switch either it's not illuminated not on this side of the bike anyway even this Juke 790 had illuminated switch it seems like a small step backwards not having it illuminated this is illuminated on this side but it's not that seems a bit backwards others bad points the mirrors I don't know what KTM and the mirrors are.
I've made this one do what moves, you know, they're actually pretty stable. I could see well in them and they are in a pretty good position, but I would probably take the mirrors off this is my bike and make some kind of bar on the mirror there, they are not bright, other negative points, there is not much, you know, there is not a lot wrong with this. I want you to know that I was going to say that the bad thing is that it is too much for the road, that was my initial impression on my first trip, but after

living

with it a little more, I have seen that it can be a pussycat. an absolute beauty around town, you know, it tempts you to go fast because it's got that growl thing about it, you know that instant power when you start riding it, it's addictive, but you just want to open it up, but once you do.
You're over it and you know it's there, no, you don't feel like you need to constantly experience it. He's a kitten. I think it would make a very good touring bike. One thing that might bother you is that it only now has a 16 Liter Tank because they have now added top feed injectors. It now has another row of injectors at the top inside the airbox, which means they have had to reduce the capacity of the fuel tank because they are about to cut the bottom off a bit. of the fuel tank to make room for the fuel injectors, so it only has 16 liters.
The original bike, my old one, I think was 18 liters, so it's a couple of liters less, but KTM has improved the fuel efficiency of the bike, so I don't do it. I don't think they improved the two liter tank value, so I don't know what the range would be. I haven't had a chance to try to do a mileage test on this, but it could be a problem or drawing. I have tolook into that, another thing when you have the wheelie controls off like I have now, there isn't any type of display to remind you that the wheelie controls are off and when you turn the bike on and off it remembers all those settings which is great .
I mean it has been a criticism or criticism. I've had fights like trump so you have to reset everything every time which is great but you just have to remember how you set it up because it doesn't even tell you the wheelie. controls off so this bike is a beast and everything really involves any kind of misuse of the right hand so that's the one to watch out for if you're a bit of a lunatic if you're dumb enough to turn off the uncle's wheelie, just be patient Mind you, its sound is also amazing for a standard exhaust system.amazing, I love the sound of the super jew, its sound lets you know, that big v-twin like the sound of its own characters, nothing else sounds like that, it just sounds incredible, in a kind of invasion and in power, I think a lot of that.
The noise is actually coming from the air box. I think a lot of it is due to the abduction law, but it's strong enough to live with the standard system. This is another thing I love about this point. You can buy it. You can unlock all packages. things that are a bit annoying, you have to pay extra to unlock the bikes, already sixteen thousand pounds, it's an expensive bike, so you have to shell out another eight hundred pounds or so to unlock the Performance Pack and all those lovely options. I've been talking and the quick shift blipper, which is also fantastic, how else?
So once you've spent all that money on the track package and all that, you won't be in a rush to buy an exhaust you haven't made. I have a Russia and then we remapped it because it has a fast throttle so once you have what you bought the bike you don't have to do it you have to spend more money it's all there so we always need it. I don't have to spend money on the engine to upgrade it. We are in night mode at Bosch. Now night mode on Bosch is orange. I love it. I want it to be in day mode.
I love that it looks great with the orange. - that's the night mode, one thing they saw this year is that it doesn't constantly flash between night and day, night and day, what the old one used to do, which used to be a little annoying, was flash between the two modes that offered. you would go under some tree cover and it will change now, you have to know, it obviously takes an average of the light levels over a minute or so it will change now, but it's not as noticeable, it will stay in one mode for longer. and it did it before, which is a little bit lit, a little bit distracting before, so it's also an improvement even on the bumpy things that are there.
I said this in my first ride video, the suspension is very flexible, so it's compliant and sporty, this WP Apex is very, very good. There's nothing weak about this bike anymore, the old one used to have its flats and this is what I said on my first ride, you know, it was all about the engine, but the rest of the point wasn't quite up to par on the engine now the The rest of the bike is at the level of the engine in general, as you can deduce, I am not convinced by this bike, there are very few things, there is nothing wrong with it, there are a couple of small drawbacks, you know all the bikes.
It has its drawbacks and this one doesn't have many of them, it is an amazing machine, now I have said h2 at home and I am going to do a comparison between this and there is an h2, so keep your eyes peeled on the channel and If you still don't You've subscribed, please subscribe to the channel because there will be a lot more naked action in the future and I'm not talking about me, I'm talking about the bike, see you guys once you've done it, never dr. boyd before
