Chair, well I really like the way it looks in my room so I'm going to buy a new chair there and then I'm going to stick with this cabinet because it holds up like all of our electronics unless I find something I like a little bit. a little better, but I'm going to redo the entire mantel and definitely buy a new rug.

I really want to focus on making some new wall art. I've never done anything in this corner, so I want to do something here and then possibly. over here and I'm definitely going to get some kind of wall art piece for this corner to my couch. I'm going to keep this existing sofa. I'd love to get a new one, but couches are expensive, so I'll probably just keep this, maybe update the pillows, okay, so we're getting ready to put down the new carpet. It was amazing, all this stuff we found under our old carpet is super gross, but I got it all vacuumed, so now it's time to put the new carpet down.

ating a coffee table you need something to anchor your decor, so it could be a tray that could also be a basket, something to put things on, it'll look ten times better if you have something to anchor. your decoration first, everything is on its own. The other thing to think about when decorating your coffee table is to add decorations that are on different levels, so the top of my coffee table won't be as high. because here on a coffee table you know you would want to be able to see over it, so you don't want anything too high.

I recently spray painted this ceramic black, this little twig that I bought at Walmart and that's just Now it's going to be the top thing on my tray. I love using brass candle holders so I have these two that will be here. I like to keep my decor and groups of three or five, so this makes a cute little group. of three next I'm going to add some wooden beads, this will just add some texture. I get asked all the time where I got these. Actually, mine were originally from Hobby Lobby. I was lucky enough to buy them at a second-hand store.
For a dollar someone brought them there, but if you need them you can get them at Hobby Lobby. I also have videos on my channel where I show you how to make them so you can do it too. Now what I'm going to do with These are just put them on. I'm going to move them in an interesting pattern and then try to tuck them into the back of my tree. I can't see the ants. I also really like having coasters on it. my table because I don't want anyone to put a drink on my wood so I have these marble coasters again they are second hand so that's all you need to put together a coffee table so for my living room I really wanted a big statement wall. art pieces so I really wanted to have a mirror in this space but when I was looking at a lot of the websites a lot of these mirrors were like $200 and it wasn't even what I was looking for so I went to my favorite store , the restoration, they always have mirrors there and I came across a really cool one, it was wooden and I knew I could paint it to really fit my space and you won't believe it was only ten dollars so the first thing I did with my mirror was just taping off the actual part of the mirror so I could paint it, so I just put painter's tape around the edges and then came in with some copy paper that I also taped down once I taped the mirror on.
I went in with a copper metallic spray paint and just sprayed the entire piece. Now he wasn't really worried about covering her completely. Honestly, I liked some of that wood that looked. I wanted this mirror to have an antique presence. So I'm mixing a lot of colors so varying with this is good for me so once the metallic spray paint had a chance to dry I took it inside and I'm going to use some of my Waverly ink and what I did with I put the ink sporadically around the frame and then went in with a cloth and just wiped it off.
I wanted it to have a worn look, just a little bit of black on the corner edges just to give it more of that antique feel, next I'm going to add a metallic gold acrylic and put it in the same way I did the black. I'll just put it lightly around my piece and wipe it off. And can you believe that for ten dollars I have an incredible piece of art on my living room wall? I have a cream colored cabinet in the corner next to this mirror and to decorate it I am using a white vase and wanted to add some. twigs, so I went to Target, they have several spring twigs right now.
I found these two that were five dollars each and I picked up two of them, so with the twigs I tied them at the bottom with a rubber band. I'm just going to fold the stems in half because I felt like they were a little long for my container and then from there all you have to do is move them around until you get the desired look that you're going for and I think it really adds value to this corner, so let's move on to my shelf. I love decorating my mantel and I'm a fan of candles.
I love buying these brass candle holders at the thrift store, you can get them for a couple of dollars, so I'm just going to put a group of six of them on one side of my mantel, on the other side of my mantel. I'm going to place at least two blue vases for them. I bought them at Ross and they were a good deal. I think they look adorable sitting outside and I'm going to put one of them on IKEA plants. I buy all my plants at IKEA and it's easy next to the blue vases. I just have a tray of ropes from Dollar Tree, they are so easy to make. all you need is a clear tray from Dollar Tree and you wrap it around nautical rope and I think they look so cute sitting on my mantel as the bottom of my mantel.
I didn't want to put too much. I recently found these asparagus. box at a flea market, it was only $5 and it was so adorable I wanted it to have a deeper look so I used coffee to dye it, all you have to do is wet some coffee grounds and then you can paint it and then wipe it off excess soil, it's so easy and such an easy way to give your piece a little bit of stain. I also added plants from Ikea next to my asparagus box. I added a box of cheese that I bought four or five. dollars at a flea market too and then I'm going to finish up adding some books and some greenery now to the left side of my fireplace.
I wanted to buy a new chair because you know I have that blue chair over there, but I brought it into my bedroom and I love the way it looks there, so I bought a new chair from Kirklands. I'm in love with her. I think it's so adorable and fits perfectly in my space. I really wanted to have a couple of tables in the corners just to add a little interest, so I bought this brown table at Ross. I think it was about $20 and then when I was antique hunting I found this white stool that I thought I also made a great side table, the stool I picked up had a lot of extra paint on it and wasn't in very good shape so instead of paint over it, what I decided to do was use my electric sander and just remove it. paint because a lot of times when you have something old like that, there will be several layers of hay underneath and once you start removing it, it looks really cool, so I just power sanded it until I had a really cool look. to my table and to top off my tables I have this piece of wood and this really awesome scale that I bought for $5 at a thrift store on the smallest table.
I'm going to put in a plant and a pot from a recent IKEA DIY video. What I did I finally found the piece I was looking for to put behind this chair. I've been looking for several weeks and I was in this antique store in Kansas City and I found this screen door and I thought it was perfect. a little old and I love the look of it and thought it would really fill that wall and space, so to dress up my screen door, I bought three wreaths from Hobby Lobby. I always buy them when they are half price and these were actually slightly smaller Reis so I grabbed three of them to attach these reefs to my door.
I just took a little bit of my twine. I linked three pieces of twine and then at the bottom I just tied them together and with a knot I cut the pieces and put them behind so you can't see my knot and I love the way it adds a little bit of visual interest. You can always add a simple wreath but I felt like this gave it something different so I stuck with my old sofa, it's probably only about three years old so there's nothing wrong with that. I would love to have a new one but sofas are quite expensive so if you want a new look and don't have the resources.
To update your couch, you can always change your pillows, so I found these really cute ones on Amazon. I'll definitely link to them below in the description box. I found a macrame one that I thought was adorable and this other one that was something like that. like black and white and before my pillows were more of a blue tone so I thought this would give me a different look next to my couch. I bought this little white basket with this lid at an antique store. I thought it was adorable and I thought it would be so cute to just sit next to my couch.
I added a blanket I already had on hand and I think it really helps finish off my couch. Now, behind my couch, I've been thinking for a while. I wanted to put it behind and I really wanted to add a cool floor lamp. I found this one on the Target website, thought it was adorable and I think it really helps make my space look a little more cozy and warm. a little behind my sofa, I keep my same table, but I changed my decoration. I was shopping at Ross for those blue vases and came across these really adorable lamps and I thought they were perfect, they were $30 each which I thought was a great deal and they are pretty substantial if you can't find them at Ross.
Another place I really like to buy lamps is Hobby Lobby, so I'm going to put them on either side of my table, so I found this one too. A cool little box at the antique store for seven dollars and fifty cents and the way they displayed it there was they had these really nice books, but I wasn't willing to buy those books. I knew I could put them together myself, so I just got a couple of books I bought at the thrift store with the covers ripped off. Next thing you want to just take some twine and wrap it around your books and then tie it in the middle so I added my books to my container and then I added a wreath that was from inherited home decor and I think this little one group looks so adorable on the other side.
I just added these three candle holders that I already had in my hands and a photo of my daughters that I chose. I placed this really awesome box at an antique store and I thought it would look great under this table so I'm going to put it under my table and just add a pillow to it so here's a final look at what my living room looks like. be. I hope you received some great inspiration to update your space. I hope you see how I use new items from the thrift store and just put them all together to create a cohesive space.
