LARGE FAMILY MONTHLY GROCERY HAUL

Jun 04, 2021
I hope you like to listen to me talk, have a drink, lean somewhere, do some work, but today we're going to talk a lot about groceries and stocking up. Hello guys, my name is Vanessa, if you are new. I'm so sorry, this is the first video you click on because I already edited the

grocery

haul

part. I'm filming this and the finale the next day and it's like over an hour. I'm so sorry, it's just It's been a whirlwind week for me. I had a little breakdown. I panic-shopped at the store and this is exactly what happens, but now I'm back to not leaving my house for at least two weeks. even then I might ask my husband to do it and get his stuff because he's still considered an essential employee and he leaves the house every day, Monday through Friday, and goes to work, so what I'm sharing with you today they already know it. because of the title and thumbnail but I decided and in the future this is what I will do unless things change and it's just not possible the limits on each store make it a little difficult when shopping for a

large

family

during a month. at a time, but I was able to collect enough to create meals and things like that, so what I did was create a

monthly

meal plan.

I shared it in a previous video. I'll have it linked below in case you missed it. and then I went out to the store and quickly realized that this was going to be completely different than how I normally do a

monthly

grocery

shop. I ended up going to five stores, but six separate purchases, so you guys will see a GB Target. then I went to the store so I went to Costco and I also went ahead and got a Sam's Club membership that we had had in the past and we had decided before all this craziness that we were going to do both again so we went.

More Interesting Facts About,

large family monthly grocery haul...

I went ahead and did that so we could use both stores so I have Costco and Sam's and then I realized we didn't have everything and waited until the last minute to get the products so they would last longer. I decided to shop a month at a time for all the freezer stable items and then I wanted to get all the fresh stuff for at least two weeks, anything more than that and the fresh stuff just wouldn't be good, it wouldn't last, I would be buying and growing all at once. way and I didn't want to do that so I'm just the reason I'm wrapping my brain around I know why we decided to do it this way it's just to keep me inside and not go out as much as possible now my husband has to go but He only goes to his office and comes directly home, he won't go anywhere else, so I decided to do the monthly and biweekly period this way, so I won't go out so often.

Or I'm not going to the Dollar Tree, you guys won't see any malls or anything, it's just that now I went ahead and included you guys, you'll see any non-food items, I left them in the hallway. and I just shared that with you too, I have some makeup that I needed to get some cleaning supplies for the kids, Easter supplies, so this video is like a lot of what we thought we needed for the month of April, including the holiday which is in April and because the kids are out of school, things I picked up for us to make at home, all that good stuff, am I missing something?

I don't know. I feel like I've been talking to all of you for three days now because that's how you'll see when you see the purchases, but hey, that's what I was sharing with you today. I feel a little overwhelmed. I am surrounded by everything that is not cold. I'm going to have a cart waiting on Amazon with some organizational items that I can use in my pantry to keep everything nice and organized so we can see it and we can make sure we're eating the things that are going to expire first and then rotating everything around, so I have that waiting for me, but other than that, the boxes and everything are still around me.
I started preparing meals. I think in the meal planning video I mentioned that I was going to share meal prep on Saturday or Sunday. filmed before an additional

family

member comes to stay with us for a while. I know unemployment is like, I think I just read 6.6 million in the US. That breaks my heart and some of our family members are definitely feeling that, so we're bringing someone in today, we have to go to pick it up, so the meal prep video I already started, you can see the dog food that goes in there guys. I might not see that until Monday, so I wanted to go ahead and let you know that I'm trying to stay active and hang out with all of you as much as possible.
I haven't been in the comments section. I haven't been on Instagram much. I think it's been like 24 hours since I posted anything, so I'm doing the best I can and I hope you guys understand that there are only three kids and they're in school at different times because of the big difference. Because of all that, I'm a little, I'm a little overwhelmed, I'm not going to lie, but we're trying to have as much fun as possible. I got a lot of fun treats just to break some of these things. with the kids so I said I'm not going to do a long intro because the videos are already an hour long oh my gosh okay so let's go into the halls and then I'll see you all here at the end ok first little one

haul

from Target, my husband and I are deciding on a Chromebook so we wanted to look and see what they had but they are already sold out so no luck but with these kids at home and having a real school curriculum , now they didn't. before, but now they have one.
I wanted to buy them some things that will stay in the office for them to use, so instead of notebooks there is also something that is quite rare, so I went ahead and got a 5a topic that This way, instead of having a notebook for each subject, they can store it all in here, so I bought three of those for each of my three youngest children. My eldest daughter is already homeschooled and does an online curriculum and the charity has all of her notebooks. The reason she needed to pick up some things for the kids is because they came home from school for spring break and then all this happened and all of her school supplies were at school, so we didn't have anything here for them.
Noma Notebooks. or something like that, so I bought them three notebooks and then a package with a few items that will stay in the office. The kids have desks in their rooms and they have pencils and crayons and stuff, but they're all like all the erasers are missing, the crayons are broken, so I wanted an ice pack just to keep in the office, so I bought a pack of pencils, a pack of markers and a pack of crayons and then the last two non-food items we got a basketball, so all of our playgrounds are closed, our neighborhood pool, none of that, we can't use anything like that, no public parks, things like that, so we ordered a swing set for the backyard and you ordered a basketball hoop. for our driveway so we go ahead and get a basketball and then we get the maintenance kit also in case it goes flat and stuff like that we can blow it up so it's for non-food items and then it's just a few things because since I was going to aim it anyway.
I thought, you know what? I'm going to go ahead and pick a few things where there are limits because we are a

large

r family, the kids love milk, we consume a lot of milk and there are limits on everything. So I wanted to go ahead and buy just a few things, so I bought mac and cheese and went with Velveeta because I can't remember who made a comment. I think it was on Instagram on my last shopping trip or the one before that I told them I had some macaroni and cheese that I wanted to have on hand and several people were like, "Hey, do you buy the kind where the cheese is already made?" because you don't need to make sure you have butter or milk or anything like that and I thought that's a really good idea, so this is something that I'm going to put in the back of my pantry and if we use it, we'll use it, but it's something that it will stay there and be shelf stable for a while and it's something that if I don't have milk and the kids want macaroni and cheese I don't need it because the cheese mixture and sauce are already made so I got an economy size box. that way I could make this as a side for dinner or for lunch all together that kind of thing, but then I went ahead and bought the eight microwaveable packs, the individual cups, these are super easy for lunch and this is something that children can prepare. on their own, so I went ahead and bought that.
As for my oldest daughter, she doesn't make any animal products, so I also bought her a side dish of noodles and now it's these teriyaki noodles. I quickly looked at the ingredients and thought. she will be okay with this but she will double check it and if she doesn't want it none of my kids or as a side for dinner so I love these little extra packets they are only $0.99 and there is a limit . these things, I think they were like eight of a kind that you couldn't get so I just bought some ice creams that were out of stock for a while and I've been keeping an eye on them online and then when I saw this and Target, this was the last one .
I thought okay, I'll have it because my kids, just when it's nice outside this time of year, I love having ice cream on hand for them, so I bought the drumsticks, I don't think. I had bought this type from them before, but it's chocolate and then chocolate with fudge and white chocolate with fudge and then I also bought ice cream for my oldest daughter. This is a vegan ice cream, cold brew with caramel and cookies. I know she's I'm going to love it, okay, I have a few cans, so I bought some vegetarian baked beans as a side for dinner.
I have two cans of mixed chili beans, so I can make some chili one night if I wanted two cans of mini ravioli. My three youngest love these things and then I've been out of the vegetarian refried beans for a while so when I saw them I went ahead and bought two of those, we also like to eat refried beans with any type of tex dinner. mex so that's it for cans and then I moved on there is a two gallon limit on milk and with the kids at home and my husband has been drinking milk more frequently.
I don't drink milk, but we've been going through closer to two gallons a week than one since the kids have been home, so I went ahead and bought two since there's a limit and I'll pick up. I will probably pick up milk at every store I go to to purchase all month long. April, so I wanted to share a little bit of what I bought at Target. Well, this isn't the same day after Target we went to H-e-b and I actually forgot to look for some non-food items at Target. We are friendly. of just trying to be as quick as possible and get the things we know we'd like to have on hand so this is an overview of the h-e-b and I'll start with the non-food items so I bought each of the kids some bubbles, they have several different bubbles, like bubbles and things in the backyard, and I picked up a huge five-down bubble thing, but there's maybe like a quarter left in there, so I went ahead and bought every one of them and then I was looking. for a larger package you could go to Walmart and Costco.
I'm not sure yet but I wish I had more because I bought a huge pack of chalk when we first moved into this house and we accidentally left it outside and it rained and everything got ugly so all that chalk was gone so I wanted get some more because the kids have been enjoying coloring on the sidewalk so when everyone walks around the neighborhood and stuff like that you can see the whole Art Walk it's really nice next time I'll try to take some photos and share with you some of the artwork, although it's raining here so it's still washed out, but anyway, long story as always, needed a little more chalk and this is all a chibi had. so I'm hoping to find more at a different store or I'll order some on Amazon, hopefully it's now certain that we won't have any kind of Easter gathering like we normally do. a big one with our family I wanted to do something a little special at home and it's the little things that the kids and I mean, I'm not the type that loves doing the extra little things like paper plates and napkins special for Easter Dinner , so I saw these, I thought they were super cute.
I know if I went to the Dollar Tree I could find some cheaper, but I loved how big it was. I'm going to try to make a really big dinner and then I love the matching napkin so I went ahead and made these. There are 16 napkins here for a dollar 50. I don't know how many you get at Dollar Tree, but again, I don't really plan on going to Dollar Tree. and then these 10 oval paper plates were five dollars, so it wasn't the biggest bang for your buck, but I went ahead and picked them up. It's been a minute since I made plain hot dogs for the kids, so I went ahead and chose.
I made these beef hot dogs and thenI had none so I'll look at Walmart but I found two swimsuits for my daughters so I bought this one for Pearl and that one for Rose and then I think this is the last non-food item that is double A. We always buy our batteries at bulk at Costco and we have less than half a row left. Oh, I don't know why it's suddenly going out of focus. Well, there we are, so I went ahead and bought another one. to make sure we don't run out over the next month, so obviously we bought a lot of food.
We are Family. 6 We all eat different things, so I pick up a little for everyone when I do a monthly shop. I'll start here because everything didn't fit on the table. I bought the chicken that I use to make the dog food and if I need to use this chicken, we use this one too. It's not just for dog food, but I like to buy it. the already frozen 10 pound bag is much easier and then this is something new. I bought this for my daughter Paige, so I bought some like little microwavable macaroni and cheese cups for my three youngest kids and I looked at them and I was like, "Okay, good." comparable, she can eat one of these when the kids have macaroni and cheese and it's a super easy lunch option so this is just Indian chickpea curry with steamed rice and like I said, they're just little microwaveable trays like the ones macaroni. and cheese, so I went ahead and understood how many are here six there are six here so it will be good that they will serve you quite a few lunches and then I bought some Ritz crackers, there are a lot of them here so this is going to last us a while.
I have a recipe that calls for Ritz crackers and then all my kids love them. This is a great offer. It was ten dollars for four cheese pizzas. I feel like it's a great deal, so I buy. cheese because we can add our own ingredients to it and the kids, my kids who love plain cheese, we already have the cheese, if that makes sense, so instead of buying a package of all the meat and having the kids who only like cheese, remove the meat, I just like to buy the cheese pizzas and then we can add pepperoni.
Pepper sausage, you know, whatever we have or whatever we want to add to it, that's what we've been doing, so I went ahead and realized I've already bought this once before and really enjoyed it. I have used it alone as a cereal, as shown. I have occasionally used it a couple of times in my yogurt as a little extra crunch in the morning so I went ahead and bought this again, it's there it's the sweetened maple berry blend cereal lately at the top of the morning and then it says almonds are the first ingredient and it's just almonds cereal flakes dried cherries dried cranberries and pumpkin seeds it's really good I enjoy it well, I'm trying to speak quickly because I know I'm going to like a lot of stores and these monthlies take forever and I'm running out of breath, okay this is something completely new, I hope my kids like it, it will be something different for lunch or dinner, if you really don't like what I made I can warm up one of these. real quick, I don't know, but I'll try it because my kids love Burger King's chicken sandwich, you know what I'm talking about, like their original chicken sandwich, so that's one of the reasons I bought the hamburger. bagels and that's one of the reasons I went ahead and bought the romaine lettuce again because we don't have a lot of salads on the list even though we're on the meal plan even though we love salads but I thought we could use the lettuce, the burger buns, these chicken burgers and let's make our own with a little mayonnaise and I hope the kids like it so I went ahead and got this.
I think there's like 20 here so I hope you like it because that's a lot of chicken burgers so there we are. Next thing I have to do is make the meat, we have the freezer full of meat, we are actually running out of some of the main meats we eat and it is full of steaks and things my husband likes for lunch so I need a little land beef and we don't have a butcher order on the way we may have to make one but every store I've been to has run out of eggs which is so sad because we love our eggs and we don't have any and then ground beef, those are the two items that I can't find, but I found some beef first stewed and I have a recipe that I'm going to use this for.
I don't need that much, but I could go ahead and make like one for the freezer, you know, cook one one night and then make one for the freezer, since I have this big package, so I went ahead and understood that we're running out of it too. bacon, so I went ahead and bought Kirkland bacon. I don't think this is the one we normally get, it may just seem different to me, but when I don't have it, there are four packages here and then I got a spiral sliced ham that is already fully cooked and pre-sliced.
You're just heating it up with a frosting packet or you can put your own frosting on it. I bought it for Easter, so yum yum yum I bought some raspberries and some blueberries, each one had a lot of strawberries, each container had a few moldy strawberries. So I was really bummed because we loved the strawberries, the Driskill strawberries from Costco, so I don't know if they had them for long, people weren't buying them, but they were all moldy, so I'm hoping I can find some. Walmart is supposed to be my last store I'm going to, but I may have to go back to h-e-b and buy more things that I'm not sure about yet, so I went ahead and bought that and am again buying the Produce and such for two weeks instead of just one, so I'm trying to get a bunch, I have a package of three cucumbers.
We will definitely review them in two weeks. We usually do closer to two in a week, but this will be fine. and then I bought the 2 pack of melons because my daughter Rose loves melons. I went ahead and bought this cheese variety pack for lunches and just to snack on nuts. Oh, peanut butter or nut butter for my husband, Mark, he loves this stuff. and this is like his guilty pleasure at night before going to bed, he takes a spoon, puts it there, eats it, puts the lid on it and voila, someone does it right. I have this great base of vegetables seasoned better than the broth.
I have a ton of recipes on hand for myself and if my daughter wants to make something, it has a vegetable base for her. I've already touched on the basics of romaine lettuce. I love it. I think it's a great offer. There are six hearts there. They go bad pretty quickly so only buy it if when you have a large family or two you are going to eat them all week because they won't last about two weeks they will disappear or have to disappear in about In a week and a half I will probably buy another from those.
I should have a h-e-b but I wasn't focusing on produce when I went so we may need another one of those because we finished one in less than a week and I need that for a little recipe so I took it completely off the bars . I think I already mentioned that we only have four, so not completely out, but close enough for my kids to feel comfortable, so my son loves the Z bars, so I went ahead. and I got the big pack of 36, there are 12 chocolate chip, 12 frozen oatmeal and what's the bottom one, a twelve chocolate brownie.
I should have memorized it by now, but I'm not right. My oldest daughter loves these. I picked up both last time. I went and they were already out and I mean my youngest three loved the pretzel so I went ahead and bought the big bag of pretzel chips because all my kids love them and then my oldest daughter, like I said, she loves these horror crisps so I bought those for her I need you to tell me a couple different recipes so I went ahead and opted to buy the largest one instead of going to h-e-b and just for a can or two I bought the bigger because I use it quite frequently, how many?
They're there, there's eight eight cans there. I bought a big bag, I think it's 15 pound potatoes, and then I bought a big bag of onions. I'm not sure what the weight is, maybe not, I have no idea. a big watermelon, they have been very good, we haven't had any bad ones yet this spring season, so I think watermelons are good, it's time for watermelons, yum, yum, my kids would love watermelons, okay , this is something new that I haven't learned. I've had a dinner kit mixed up like this in a long time, but I thought it would be something awesome to have on hand if there's a night where I'm done and I don't want to make takeout or anything like that, but I don't really want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen.
I thought this would be great to have on hand and it's a bird's eye view garlic chicken so it says grilled seasoned white chicken with pasta, broccoli, carrots and corn in a garlic sauce. so it sounded really good. I went ahead and got two different types of green beans. I bought some fresh green beans for the recipe and then I bought some frozen green beans and the only reason I mean I didn't care if they were organic or not but these were the only ones they had so I bought this because this is what which I put in the dog food when I make it, so I went ahead and got a big bag of lines because I'm going to be treating myself to some dirty cokes for the next month or two weeks, no matter how long those coke zeros last, they don't last long , we only drink one a day, but I have to catch my oldest daughter, sometimes she tries to just drink them. out of the fridge so I want to treat myself and have some dirty cokes.
I already showed you the coconut cream and I'm really excited about it. I have a big thing with grapes. My children love grapes. They go through phases where they don't. No and right now they are in a preparation phase so when I didn't have it, this is for the caprese I'm going to make for Easter and I might make one before Easter, one this week and next week for Easter. I'm not sure but there are two here so mmm this is one of my favorite snacks as I could make this every week and be a happy happy girl so this is just some fresh mozzarella sliced and ready to go serve, then I bought another one. package of Kerrygold butter just to have on hand, we have several sticks of butter in our refrigerator in the garage, but I'm going to try some new recipes, do some baking, and do some meal prep at the beginning and end of the month, so I just wanted to make sure That butter is not something that needs to be hunted.
Well, speaking of hunting, several stores were out of cheese. I was able to find some at HEB and then Costco had it. Sam's didn't have any. of block cheese, so I went ahead and bought it. I don't think we'll be going through all of this this month or at least in the first few weeks, but I just wanted to have it just in case because we love cheese. The kids love cheese, anyway, if we run out of cheese to snack on, I can cut it up instead of what we normally do. We use it as our grated cheese, so I might cut it into little blocks, you know, cheese, yum, yum, I have some. things to bake more.
I'm running out of almond flour and luck may prove that oh, you're tall, that's what it is. I always forget about sugar replacement because as I mentioned, aside from a couple splurges, my husband is trying to get back on the keto train so I went ahead and bought these. They also have almond flour at Sam's and now that we have memberships at both, I need to compare prices and make sure I'm not paying more at one store than the other, so I need to find out what they have the same in and what the prices are.
One thing they have in common is that they both had these Nutella and Go packets. I bought them last time and the kids love them so I went ahead and bought them. Pick it up Pick it up again I don't think I'm going to pick this up every time because it's definitely not good for them, but they enjoy it and I mean it will be their home for several months. I can't emphasize it enough. I'm already feeling it so I went ahead and bought this, plus it's on sale and that just sealed the deal. I bought some macadamia nuts.
I wish I were a goat. These would drop back to $17.99. They cost $20.99 and I used to buy them. at $17.99 and normally I think it was expensive and another 20 but my husband loves them so we have been buying them almost monthly for him. I bought these little naans again. I'm trying to fix lunchtime, my kids. they get bored at home it's like we're trying to eat the same things and do a routine and they just say no I'm bored I'm trying to figure out some different things to fix and do I'm excited about something so I have a couple different ideas for these and these fries very well, so I'm automatically going to fry half of this package.
Well, back to some more nuts. I bought some unsalted cashews. All my kids love cashews so I went ahead and bought them and then I found out I was making caprese and I thought oh my gosh I've bought these before and they're so delicious so I'll definitely be on the tomato train and mozzarella, no matter how you make them.large, so I bought two of the smaller ones and then I bought this larger container of basil for the caprese dishes I'm going to make. Well, grits, it's something that I don't know if I ever picked them up, maybe a while ago, but I know our guest likes them, so I went ahead and understood that orzo is for a recipe my kids love these raisins and Now we're officially out, so I went ahead and got the three types we had on hand, the strawberry yogurt, the vanilla yogurt, and the chocolate yogurt, in the back.
I went ahead and got that fried chicharrones mix in snack bag form for my husband to try and then I needed several different ones. Crescent and cookies, but the profits were very slim, so I only got two of each. I think I needed about three, but I don't need one or two until the end of the month, so I might pick up more next time. I don't want to completely empty the shelf, so I only bought two each of two crescents and two cookies. I wanted a big container of Mayo because we use it a lot for tuna salad, chicken salad, egg salad and all that kind of stuff.
They had completely sold out of the large ones, so I only bought two small ones. I'll keep one in the refrigerator and one in the pantry until it's gone. I needed some coconut milk. I bought two cans and then I needed. I'm tearing everything down. I needed some condensed cheddar cheese soup for the recipe, I bought two of those. I'm almost out of vanilla so I went for this larger one, I hope it lasts a while and then Nicole has been sharing these French toast, she's kind of giggling and they sound. very good and I loved almost all the types of laughs I made so I went ahead and bought the maple extract for those and then I saw this candy and thought you know what I can make a lot of things with? this caramel extract, so I went ahead and got it to start playing with the recipes, okay, let's make Mexican style cornbread waffles again.
I shared it in a what's for dinner video so I bought two packages for that and I thought I had more pork tenderloin in my freezer and I should have used it. I also needed two more of those. I already mentioned ground beef so I bought one of those because the limits are one so I bought one and then I got a ground beef or more before Paige because she I'm making a recipe that calls for meat so I'm going to use this so she I can also eat it, that's fine. I don't normally have ham as a sandwich meat, my kids.
I love turkey but I thought I would buy it as a different option for them, it's okay there are a lot of different sugars. I'm going to make some food to bake and I don't have any of this on hand. It's getting very, very low for me. the powdered sugar swerve the brown sugar swerve and then I bought regular brown sugar and regular powdered sugar because my kids don't do this so I understood that they are the mini marshmallows for a parmesan cheese recipe. I was looking for the cheap version, but they didn't have any. I went ahead and grabbed the liquid cage free egg whites so I could use them as an egg substitute for some things and then speaking of egg substitute, I saw this and thought Paige might want to try this. it's a plant based scramble so it says egg only but it's actually made from plants not chicken so I went ahead and bought it because she used to eat scrambled eggs and then again to help with the shortage of eggs, he went ahead and Got it, there should be a total of 12, yes, there are six in each bag and my kids love to eat hard-boiled eggs and I like to make a salad with them, so I got it too, very good, look That's probably the best there is.
Out of all this, can you even see what champagne says? Yes, I'm going to make myself some mimosas on Easter morning. I went ahead and bought them for my husband and I, if he wants them too, I tried to find the cheaper version. of the grenadine but I couldn't find it anywhere but I did get it for Shirley.Temple Shirley's Temple for Kids is almost out of cornstarch and I need some for recipes so I went ahead and bought another one. The chow mein noodles are actually for a dessert the kids are going to make for us and then I needed some egg noodles.
So I went ahead and bought two bags of egg noodles. I bought a crazy sauce mix with seaweed for the Mississippi pork pearl. I ordered strawberry muffins for breakfast one morning, so I bought the strawberry cheesecake muffin mix so she can make these. sour cream thing, the other two that I bought I need for recipes, but we like to have sour cream on hand for certain dishes like chili, any kind of Texas stuff, so I went ahead and bought a small one for that and then I got a vegan. Cream cheese option for Paige and I need some of this for a vegan dish I'm making and then I also bought her some vegan shredded cheese for some of the dishes she's going to eat so I know this.
It would probably be long, but that's all I have for my family for the entire month of April. Okay, I said this in the last video which was super long if you watch me right now and watch it to the end. High five virtually and I just want to send you all the love in the world because that means a lot to me that you're curious enough to chat with me enough to sit through all of that because let me tell you, it was a little difficult for me to edit. I trimmed a bit of my talk on certain elements.
I left a lot out because it's just me and many of you know this, but I came to cut a little bit because I was like a quiet girl. I get depressed when you talk, I just don't know, I feel like when I see supermarket hoes I just set them up and I'm doing things, but I'm listening and I love hearing the ideas or what you guys are doing. food and what you're feeding your kids and stuff like that gives me ideas in the future, like I mentioned with Amanda from Mom's Messy Kitchen, which again I'll have her channel link below in case you guys want to check it out, she shares grocery shopping.
Also and that's where I got the idea that I wanted to do those peeps more, so I think it'll be something fun, something different for the kids when the weather gets nice again. I mean, it's spring, it's going to rain a lot, but it really sucks that we're social distancing and on top of that we can't go outside and play, it makes it a little harder as soon as it gets nice. I mean, we could make them inside like in the microwave, it's just not the place. Same thing or on the stove, but anyway that's where that idea came from and that's why I like to explain and go into a little more detail about what we're doing with things and all that good stuff, so I usually do a meal plan. with my grocery shopping I will NOT do that because this grocery shopping was huge.
If you want to see the first two weeks, I could post a photo on Instagram one week at a time as well, but I shared an overview of the dinners for the month and the first two weeks of April in the other video of me creating my meal plan, so again that video is linked below and then on Sunday or Monday I hope to be able to share with you some of the things that I'm putting together some of the things that I'm putting up, but since I want to order some things on Amazon, the video may wait and show where I'm storing all this food for a month, one thing I did want to share with you for everything I bought and once I got home and realized how many things we actually have, that's one thing when they go to so many different stores, I bought several more snacks and I originally intended to it's like I got you, you say, yeah, goldfish, yeah, all these big boxes of granola bars, now we have a ton, so in May we're going to do a freezer and pantry challenge and we won't pick anything up unless it's essential. a meal that I'm making, so if we have snacks and my kids asked for something else and we apologize, they still have half a box of goldfish or there's still a ton.
I'm looking at Nature Valley cookies. until they run out of nothing, no, we won't get anything, if anything, I should have plenty of baking on hand, we can make some cookies or something, but that's it, so we'll do the most extreme thing we can and I. I'm going to share all of that with all of you, but that will be during the month of May and even if all of this is over by then, which I doubt we still won't be dating, we're seriously just leaving. to get what is essential, I want to cut our grocery budget which is normally 1200 1400, probably for this month we will push 1400.
I want to reduce that to less than half, maybe I don't know, we could get away with 400, believe. We could do that like $400 for the month of May, we'll see, but that's what I think about in the future and I wanted to bring them. Keep going as you know. I always keep it real with all of you. I share what I feed my children. what we're planning and stuff like that, so if you enjoyed this video, give it a big thumbs up, subscribe if you're new, if you want to see how we're going through all of this with stay home.
I'll be doing a vlog very soon on our school day so it's not my stay at home mom life day which has completely changed but it's specifically what we're doing for school and then I'll post some other vlog style videos during this next month too so be sure to hit the bell to get notified every time I upload if you don't want to miss any of them and the next video you should watch unless for some reason it just doesn't work out. because of someone moving and the time it takes on the organization side, you should see a meal prep and pantry organization and all that fun stuff.
I'll see you in the next video, bye.
