I picked up two

large

clear, smooth acrylic bows for each bulb, one small. Acrylic decorative bowl, a Christmas ribbon to hang on the door, a bag of stones for an ornament, and a diamond wrapping ribbon from Walmart. I purchased oxide-oleum red spray paint, gold metallic spray paint, battery operated warm white LED

light

s, and the white marker oil. paint marker to put everything together. I'm using Gorilla Clear Grip glue and a hot glue gun. Okay, so I want to start making some light bulbs that look like the ones in Leshawna's photos, so I'm going to take my big, plain bows outside and I'm going to spray paint them red.

More Interesting Facts About,

I want these bulbs to have a very shiny surface on the outside, like in the photo, so I'm going to spray paint the inside of the container so that on the outside, where it shows, you still have a very shiny acrylic surface. I'm going to make two red bulbs, so I'll spray paint four bowls. I need two bowls each. Now these little bowls look a lot like the decorative lids that go on the ornaments because they have a wavy bottom. So I'm going to use this for my lids. I'm spraying the outside of the bowls. I think these will look more like metal lids without the shiny finish, so I want this to have a more dull metal tin look.

I will be using these door hangers as rings for the tops of my ornaments. I like the bells on the bottom but I don't like this material on the top. I just want the rings, so I'm removing the material and spray painting the top ring parts in gold and silver to match the metal part of the bells now that these pieces are completely dry. I'm going to take them and put them together. I'm using two of these to make a large ball shape, but Before I glue them together I want to make a couple of holes in a top piece so I can attach the lid and add lights.

I will need two holes in the cap piece and two holes in the top of the ball. I'll use the tip of my hot glue gun to melt these holes into the pieces. I'm making two holes on either side of the center and to do this I simply place the hot glue gun on top and I'm going to gently shake it back and forth with very little pressure. If you have too much pressure, it will break the plastic. Also, I am NOT squeezing hot glue. I'm just using a tip to melt the plastic. With the Heysel it will take a minute. gun, if you have a hot knife, this would be a lot faster, so when the tip starts to go through, you can apply more pressure and I'm pushing the tip all the way in to make the biggest holes possible, so you want to push something. that hole to make sure it's open you can use a pen or a pencil and you want to have something that looks like this and I made the same two holes in my gold lid to light them up.
I am using mini LED lights. This is a set of 18 it runs on batteries it has three settings and it's time so you can set it it will turn on at the same time every night and it will stay on for six hours this requires three double A batteries and I found them at At Walmart you can find lights similar to these at Dollar Tree, but you'll have to turn them on and off manually, so first I'm going to untangle the cord and run it through one of the holes at the top. part of the ball and I'm running this until there are about three or four lights left on the top of the ball.
I want some lights surrounding the top of my ball. I'll also use the lid to hide the control box for my lights, but first to make sure the lights are evenly distributed inside the ball, I'll use some masking tape to help place the lights where I want them, starting with the ball. lower. I'm going to tape the wire to the ball in a few places, oh I almost forgot. I want these to sit on my porch, so I need to add some weight to them, so I'm just going to put a bag of rocks, that kind from Dollar Tree right in the center of the bottom half.
If you are going to hang this Bob or suspend it, do not put the stones inside, it is just to keep it heavy if you have it outside so it doesn't blow away in the wind. Also, when you pick up these pieces, lift them off the bottle they are on. the rocks now I use masking tape to place all my lights where I want them now before I close this let me turn off the lights to see what it's going to look like with this control you can have three different settings you can make it blink you can do a slow glow or you can have one light set HSB so the light appears to be glowing pretty evenly so I think I'm ready to put my cap on and close this ball and speaking of these lights a lot of you wanted to know how I lit my big topiaries that I made in the last video .
I also use these same lights and pressed the driver inside the lid, but instead of powering the lights on the inside of the piece, I just wrapped the lights around the outside of the entire piece, okay? Back to my red bubble to attach my cap, I'm going to use a piece of ribbon. I'm going to thread half the ribbon through one of the holes at the top of the ball and the other half through the other hole now. I'm going to take my controller case and just place it inside a sandwich bag. This is a snack pack.
I am doing this just to keep it waterproof and I will put a box and a black cable inside the bag which I will fold. on the back snug around the box and I'm placing the box right in the center on top and I'm taping those few remaining lights on top so they can shine through the lid now I'm going to pull Put the two ends of the ribbon through the two holes in the lid, place the lid over the controls and lights, tighten it and then add the door hanger and tie a bow around it to close until this ball is up.
I'm using clear gorilla group glue and I'm putting the glue right on the top edge of the bottom ball, then placing the top piece directly on top of it and making sure everything lines up perfectly. I also decided to add some gold diamond wrap around the center just to hide. the seams now I think this is perfect as it is now, but since my original viewer who requested this wanted it to look like this image, let's add some typography and decorations. Okay, add the words Merry Christmas. I'm using a white Sharpie paint. marker and I don't have the best handwriting, but I'm going to try to imitate the type that is on these bumps, but you can also use a stencil to paint that type.
I also found these bright white felt snowflake stickers at Dollar Tree and I'm going to use these to mimic the starbursts that are in the picture she provided. Okay, LaShonda, this is for you. Here are the two Merry Christmas bulbs. Now they are not as big as the ones in the pictures you sent, but They should look good on your porch and unlike the ones in the photo, they won't cost you five hundred

dollar

s, plus the homemade ones will light up and by the way, when you are Ready to activate the lights, just wait until you want them to turn on.
By untying the bow at the top to loosen the cap, turn on the light, tie the bow back and you only have to do it once. They will light up every night at the same time using the same process but with different types of loops. I also created a silver gold bob a silver and gold bomb a couple of light up crystal bobs I put in a crystal bob I use white rocks to harden the rocks and remove the seeds, you are in clear pieces and next I want to show you how I created these gift boxes that they sparkle and shine with lights for the gift boxes in my car at Dollar Tree.
I found these red and green storage containers. I'm using two for each box. I also bought a couple of large, shiny gift bows for wrapping gifts. Pay Freddie's. I'm also using the wired mini LED lights I bought at Walmart the same way I made my bulbs. I'm going to start by adding lights to the inside of this piece. These containers are quite transparent, so they will really show through. It's nice to have the light shine through, but since I don't have to attach a cap and I'm not going to be running a ribbon through these holes, I'll just make a hole right in the center of the top piece and again I'm using the heat from the tip of my glue gun to create the hole and then I'm going to turn on the lights and I'm going to run the wire through the hole all the way and into the bottom container and I'll like what I did with the ornaments I'm going to start putting the wires into position with adhesive tape so that the light is evenly distributed in the upper and lower container.
This game has more lights. I think it has about 36 lights so there are a lot more to work with and I'm just using. tape for this okay I think this looks good just make sure you have the control boxes on the outside and I think it's time to close this now before I close it I'm going to put the control box in a little Ziploc bag and I'm going to tape that down with some clear tape. You could use packing tape, but you want to make sure you can operate the controls, so make sure the switch is up and this will then be hidden behind a bowl.
Now I'm ready. to close my gift box, so I'm just applying some clear Gorilla glue around the hot edges of the bottom box and then I'm going to place the top piece on top of the bottom piece and make sure everything is lined up and sealed so that I turn off the lights and let it sit and dry for about half an hour, so now it's time to decorate. I'm using this shiny paper to wrap gifts. It will work great for outdoors because it is a type of plastic paper and is waterproof. I'm going to cut strips of this paper and use them as ribbon to wrap the box.
I'm cutting to get even, thick strips. I placed the first strip under the box widthwise, right in the middle, I put it a little hot. I glue on the bottom of the box and am putting hot glue on the top of each of the placed parts. I'm gluing the strip to each half and then I'll glue it to the top and let the excess hang down. and I do the same thing with the other side and then on both ribbons I'm going to take the excess and I'm going to gather it together and I'm going to make a little loop so it looks like the end of a bowl and I'm going to glue the toes in place and then I'm going to take my big bowl and I'll put hot glue on the edges of the bowl and stick them to the loops I just made.
I didn't glue the bowl to the top of the controller because I want to be able to lift it up a little bit and stick my fingers in there so I can operate the controls to turn the lights on and again, you're only going to turn the lights on once, so when you're ready to turn them on, say 7 o'clock. clock, just reach there, turn on the switch and voila, it will turn on every night at 7 o'clock. I also want to cut out some small rectangles at the bottom of these strips to make them look more like a ribbon.
I also have one more strip left, so I'm going to cut it in half and make two more loops on each side of this bowl, so I made this beautiful green gift box and a red gift box to go with all my beautiful large ornaments and Oh, how they will shine and light the way to my house this holiday season.
