tonight, obviously still working this scene trying to process it, uh but there was no word from them tonight on really any kind of updated information we know that the woman opened fire quickly and walked down this entrance here apparently hiding a long gun under a coat.

Many people have already seen posts on social media about hearing that gunshot while they were starting a service in Spanish. This was shortly after 2:00 this afternoon. Houston's police chief described the attack as one that had the potential to cause more devastation. A woman walking towards this Shrine with a small child. This child was 5 years old, we were told. as church security one with Houston police the other an ATF agent they returned fire she entered the building she was armed with a long rifle and a trench coat with a backpack accompanied by a SM child approximately four to five years old uh once she walked in uh at At some point she began to fire at both officers, the officer and the deputy became involved hitting the woman.

She passed away here at the scene. Unfortunately, a 5-year-old boy was hit and is in critical condition. We don't understand why these things happen, but we know. God is in control and we are going to pray for that little 5 year old boy and pray for the lady that passed away the world knows the face of Joel Ostein and today he had to face the rest of the world with something that he has This happened too often in many other places, this time at the front door here in Lakewood, there is no official information on the identity of this woman.
