It's actually pretty crazy to see something like this because it usually happens every spring and can last anywhere from a couple of hours to a day and it looks like they're fighting but it's the males that are trying to push their bellies out and get the eggs out so they can lay them. their sperm and then the eggs will stick to some type of surface. You can see that they are all there. trying to get into the action there not completely full of eggs all stuck to it all those are quick whipped fish literally there are like gobs and gobs of fish eggs there those naughty little fish were swimming around trying to eat all the eggs the bottom of the water but I'm going to put the water tap here so we can make sure they don't get eaten.

Here's the water hammock, it's basically a screen with pool noodles tied around it, so I'm going to glue it on. right here to stop seeing those guys, they're trying to eat all the eggs right now, okay yeah, who made the water hammock set up? It's so deep that I have a couple of stones in there just to keep it down, so I'm going to take the aquatic plant here and this plate full of eggs and I'll put it in there and we'll be safe from any fish eating them. We're still mating here. we'll see how many eggs there are on this plant check all the eggs I'm also going to put this ooh - they're eggs today no one is going to eat them right I'll give you a close look at all the eggs here there are all these little eggs here even this little one is full of eggs you want to see thousands of eggs, look at this on the side, look at all those little balls, hundreds and thousands of koi eggs, they're all at the bottom of those notes, they should hatch in six days, shake some of them, look at some eggs there.

You can also see here a baby koi fish that just hatched four days after the eggs were laid, so I cooked this hard boiled egg yolk and since the fish is so small, I'm going to cut it into four pieces and I'm going to feed them to one of them today and I'll save the rest for the next few days. Well all my koi were spawning and

laying

eggs on Monday, at the end they were

laying

eggs at the bottom of the roots of these plants, but you can still see some of them are here, but most of them are

hatching

now.

I spread them out in my water hammock here. Look, there are a couple there. Still some of them spawned on Tuesday, but many of them hatched. I'm going to step aside. There are still plenty here, but most have already hatched. I started

hatching

on Friday Saturday and then today Sunday, so it took four days, five days, and six days, so I put some fish food in here a couple of days ago because they're starting. to feed now and I'll try to capture this on film. I'm also going to put my GoPro under the water so you can see there's a baby right there.
I'm going to feed them some egg yolk. There is a little baby. It should be right there. I don't know many of them here. I'll keep them separate here in Excel. They're old enough to, I guess, figure out what to do next. I'm going to take my egg yolk and just stir it up, put it in there and let them feed on that, okay, so that's fish spawning, laying eggs, separating them in the water, putting them in a hammock, hatching them and

feeding

them after a few days of birth, stay tuned for the next video. I will keep you informed.
