Jacob's Ladder Crochet Stitch - Geometric Crochet - Colorwork Crochet

May 29, 2021
so today we're going to do Jacob's Ladder and I'm using the

crochet

that the yarn comes for so I'm using AG but some people use a h19 for a yarn number so I do my Slipknot and I'm going to Let's do it a multiple of six, but some people can do a multiple of five, a multiple of four, whatever they want, but I'm going to do a multiple of 6 plus two, so it's one, two, three, okay, twenty-four more two. so now I'm going to yarn over and double

crochet

the fourth loop of my hope so it's one, two, three in the fourth and I'll double crochet each of the loops all the way through and I'll have my 24 that it's a multiple of six and I'll see you when I finish this room ok so I have my 24 double crochets I'm going to chain 1 round and I'll make a single crochet in each of the spaces like this of the chains so single crochet in each one and these two rows will be my base rows and once I have my twenty four single crochets I'm going to go back and show you what to do next those two are my base rows and now I want to change colors I'm going to use the darker blue and I have my chain there I'm just going to step that one up a little bit and I'm going to do 3 chains up one two three twist and I'll do that counts as number one you know how to do two three Oh five six so once I get my six I want to do ten chains one two three six seven eight nine ten and then slip

stitch

on it based on that chain right there ok so now i'm going to do six more treble crochets which will be one oh five mmm six and i did my tank chains again one two three four five six seven eight nine ten and again slip

stitch

in the base up that chain right there yeah there we go and now six double crochet plus one two five and six and then I'll do my 10 chains again one two three four five six seven eight nine ten and then I'll slip the stitch into that base of the chain and I do six more double crochets which is one two times five and six so on the way back what you want to do is chain one loop and then single crochet until you get to the loop so it's one two three four five and six and then push that loop back and find the single crochet next to it so you make a chain there and one two three four five six push that in the back and single crochet in the next two three five six push that loop back and find the next one two Oh five and yell the last one there and that's six and now we're going to change color so now I'm going to change color and I'm going to pull the lighter blue through there we're going to pull that one and then I'm going to do my three chains up and turn so that one counts as one and I have that it's two three four five and six and now I do my 10 chains up 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and then I go back to the base and slip the stitch in that oh there we go and now six more double crochets that's 1 2 i Oh five six and then ten chain one two three four five six seven eight nine ten and slip stitch at the bottom of that right in the e and then six double crochets more and do that to the end of the rope so six and then the chain ten and six double crochet and chain 10 and so on and then of course on the way back you chain 1 and single crochet in each So if that's one, two, three, four, five, and six, push the loop back and find the first string which is one, two, three, four, five, six years old that's chained in the back and find the first one and you do it to the end of the row and I'm going to do a few more rows so you can see how it looks and I'll show you how to pull up the loops to make the

ladder

so once i have the lengths i want because i just want to do a douche i'm going to do another row of double crochet without doing the chains like a regular double crochet row and once you do this rope i'll come back to show you what to do in the next one at this stage you want to have all your loops like this and to do that you're going to pick up the first loop go under the second one and pass it over so again take this next one from the bottom and pass it over and again pick it up and pass it collect pass it let's do it again go collect pass it collect pass it collect and pass it through and leave all the last one hanging there because we're going to go and secure the next row okay so now in this row we're going to catch all these loops and I need to make my single row chain crochet turn and then we go into the first one, so it's one, two, three, four, five and then into the sixth, it goes in and picks up the loop that you have there, take care to have it nice and straight. pick up the loop and single crochet now into the first stitch in the next set of six go into that chain take the loop again and single crochet and that would be number one two three four five in the sixth go in there and take That loop here we go and single crochet with it and then in the first one of the next set of six that would be number one lifted that loop again and single crochet so it would be one, two, three, four, five in the sixth, go there take the loop, single crochet in the next go there, pick it up again and single crochet and then across the row and then of course I want to do another row of double crochet so it looks the same as last start and have a nice finish so when i do i will come back and take some pics so you can see what it looks like and this is very interesting it is very cute so thank you so much for looking please share us with your friends and like our page, subscribe and I'll see you next time.
