We are all carbon offset and we plant a tree for every purchase and you know we have up to 300 trees planted. I'm feeling pretty fired up, yeah, okay, let's get into this Jesse, this is a

conspiracy

, folks, oh boy. Catharine

conspiracy

, low volume. What are we talking about? We're talking about Jack Rickard and he wrote a blog post called The Tesla Conspiracy or I'm a Dead Whistleblower. So who is Jack Ricker? Well, Jack Rickard owns and operates all of the television engines and a fun fact you can see here. what's happening in his workshop on his live webcams look at this happening right now ok he's been building and converting v for decades and as he says we basically got out of converting v before we got to the stage early adoption, he was basically in This he did so long ago, before anyone knew what he was doing properly.

More Interesting Facts About,

jack rickard s the tesla conspiracy in depth...

He's probably forgotten more about solar PV batteries, electric motors and car conversions than most people will ever know, so when he talks about a topic related to electric vehicles, I usually try to watch it and learn, so he has a YouTube channel and although the takes are usually long and wordy, they pack a very informative punch with information, so this is a guy who really knows what he's talking about, he's been making electric cars for years before he You could buy an electric one. car was converting electric cars so that people could enjoy exactly one electric version of their favorite ice cars and we will go over in

depth

some of the highlights from his letter below and we recommend that you read his full letter so the link is down, so Jack starts with, in the case of Tesla, the car and the company, if you eliminate all the other possible causes, what is left is the answer and I have the increasingly uncomfortable feeling that all is not well in the world, so what?
jack rickard s the tesla conspiracy in depth
Is this conspiracy okay? So Jack starts by laying out some of the facts you've probably heard on this channel many times before the Detroit News Model Three One Car of the Year award twenty-eight. It was also named Car of the Year by Popular Mechanics March 2018 Excellence Awards automotive Auto Express Car of the year 2019 Automobile magazine Design of the year 2018 the Tesla Model 3 again and again and you know, of course 2013, quite surprisingly, was named Tesla Model S car of the year in the motor trend with the surprising omission that since 1949 there has never been a car like this Wow and then as we've been talking about on the Motor Trends show, named the 2013 Tesla Model S the best car of the year, the best car of the year in seven. decades of publications naming a car of the year every year and Jack talks about this fact because in itself this is incredible because the motor trend is paid for by advertising and Tesla has never spent a dime on advertising so this alone is quite surprising, yes.
jack rickard s the tesla conspiracy in depth
So that's part of the setup that Tesla cars are awesome and he goes on to the setup that Teslas are the safest cars and talks about how recently, as we reported, Nitz, a cease and desist letter was filed from The one we talked about in The Last Show is kind of a government attempt to limit what can be said about a publicly funded, electronically administered test, and I mean, that's exactly what we were saying at Tesla Time News: that Tesla is just trying to report on what Nissa tried. They're not making false claims about what Nitsa tested, they're just telling the world what Nitsa tested and saying, don't say that, Jack goes on to say, so my claim is that Tesla makes the best automotive vehicle on the planet, except none in In every aspect, including safety, it is simply the best car ever built and I would challenge anyone to prove, even partially, that this is not the case.
I mean there are very few, if any, flaws in model three, which is why the connector lights up on all TVs. We largely stopped converting ice cars to electric vehicles, which a long time ago was our only reason for living, and Tesla was largely the reason why the $40,000 Model 3 is a better car than the one I I can do for $40,000, so his whole life and everyone who worked with a TV The TV was going to turn ice cars into electric ones and basically stopped doing that because now it's cheaper to buy a new electric car than it is to turn a nice car into the one where you already have a car and all you have to do is put it in. engine and batteries, it's cheaper to buy a new and incredibly amazing one than to convert it, so Jack does worse, it's a kind of one-sided launch, we cover the news of many different electric cars and in particular hundreds of press releases from VW that They were never really cars and the conclusion was that it just doesn't matter.
Porsche and BMW were the only ones that had the right stuff to compete with Tesla and they didn't matter. Everything else didn't matter. and it couldn't matter and yes, Taikan horses are launching this September 4th and they will sell 30,000 or 40,000 of them and they still won't matter. Tesla simply owns it and at this point most of its battery technology and the cost of its supercharger. connect its online sales model, over-the-air software updates, and more put it so far ahead that other manufacturers are still announcing the next Tesla Killer aimed at the 2013 Tesla Model S. Problem. It's 2019.
I don't even know. I know how to phrase this better so Jack says it, so I think I'll let him speak for himself, that's fantastic, yeah, carry on. I'm at the point where if you don't have the Tesla logo on your car. you're not electric and it doesn't matter to the point we're working furiously on things like an obd2 port adapter for the Model 3 or reverse engineering Tesla batteries now Evie batteries Tesla batteries for solar energy storage I have a half finished cadillac hill climb conversion suspended in the air in an elevator where it has been hanging for a year, but the blue sky for Tesla is essentially limitless.
They can sell everything they make and make everything they sell from three hundred and sixty thousand units to seventy-eight. million, they are 0.46% of a two point three trillion dollar market and, in my biased opinion, they already own it all, so what they are saying there with the 78 million cars they could sell is basically the market of cars on Earth because essentially From their point of view and, to a greater extent, from my point of view, there is practically no reason to buy another car right there. The closest competition hasn't even come close to a car they made six years ago, and no car we've seen that what you can buy today is even close enough in terms of what the model three can do well, so it goes on to say that if someone doesn't do something quickly enough in the future, all cars will be Tesla hyperbole.
My knees hurt as I publicly repeat a prediction I've been quietly making for years. It's so incredible that everything I can reap now is ridiculous, but you won't believe the big names and huge corporations that are facing inevitable bankruptcy and dismemberment in the very near future no government will be able to save them hundreds of thousands, otherwise millions of jobs lost economic disruptions and dislocations of incomparable proportions office furniture available for six cents on the dollar, not reorganization, but companies like Eastman Kodak Sears Kmart that could not go bankrupt and are already missing photo GM VW Daimler the largest the best I think you know this is the kind of stuff we've been talking about on this show if you've been watching the show for a long time, a lot of these talking points seem awfully similar to how these big companies that seem so insurmountable , so solidified, so impossible to disappear, in reality they do not have in any tangible way any type of competition with what Tesla is offering.
The other thing is that these big companies are really good. One thing is that it tells you that they are really good companies, that they never show a sign of weakness and that they never come out to God-like CEOs. I don't know what to do with the company this year, they don't do it. So when they come out, you say, "Wow, they seem so confident and I guess they'll succeed. They have a plan. Look at history. That's not what happened. So Jack goes on, let's look at oil." business we are currently at 100 million barrels of oil used every day around the world 20 million here in the US at 55 dollars a barrel, that's about 5.5 billion dollars a day, that's another two trillion business dollars in the world market as the percentage of all electric cars grows, the demand for oil will decrease completely. 50% of all oil is destined for road transport, that is, two point seven. five billion dollars per day and for every day that future is delayed is another two point seven five billion dollars, it would be a gain of two point seven five billion dollars if the adoption of the electric car could be paralyzed for one day The incremental growth of the automobile market is, as I said, inevitable and unstoppable, but for every day it is delayed there are billions of dollars at stake, literally the clock runs at 1.9 million dollars per minute just in that part of the oil used by cars and I think that "We're getting pretty close to the conspiracy, this is getting to the heart of the plot and what I love is that it's exposing something really important that we allude to a lot on the show, but it's giving some really concrete numbers here, which is if you're in the oil business and you say okay, so every day we can stop Tesla is 2.75 billion, then you start to see the scale at which they're going to want to stop it, right? and the funny thing is that there is no stopping it anymore there is no way to stop it at this point, the cat is out of the back, all of us, anyone who has been inside a Tesla knows exactly why it is the best car in the world and why it has never I would grease it again.
I know that even if I don't really care about the planet or the environment because there are many of you who have messaged us directly and said I don't care about the planet or the environment, but I love Tesla because it's the best car in the world . the world right, the cat is completely out of the bag, there's no turning back, that's a great point, we don't just drive these cars because we're hippies and tree huggers, you can take that out of the equation if you want and you still win the argument, right, let's continue with what he says next.
Texaco bought the entire Onyx nickel metal hydride battery business from General Motors with the patents, of course, allowing this battery chemistry for camera and laptop batteries, but they specifically refused to license it to anyone. in larger sizes suitable for electric cars and that continued until the patents ran out by then it didn't matter that the lithium battery was booming but it absolutely delayed the development of electric vehicles for many years Stanford ovshinsky inventor of this metal hydride battery Nickel died in 2012, at the age of 89, still deeply bitter about what Texaco's General Motors, later acquired by Chevron, had put his baby to its greatest potential use and the use for which Schinsky specifically developed it ever. realized, they just bought it and shelved it.
It makes sense to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to acquire a promising technology and then put it aside and not worry at all about selling your products, just park that thought, so this is where it really is like oil has been dampening the electric car . been preventing it from rising throughout history and that's just a small example of where oil was basically, oh it looks like you have some patents for an electric car that uses some new battery technology, we'll pay you basically any amount of money to acquire that right and then I won't use it for electric cars and you can see how excited Schinsky would have been when he made the patent and he had all these interested buyers and it's like, he's going to get involved in the right industry for no reason, you know what?
GM will use it. and yes, and GM will make an electric car, forOf course, and can you imagine their phone calls? Hey GM, it's been a year and I'm wondering how you're doing with a new well made nickel metal hydride battery, oh hello hello you sold it you sold it. to an oil company, you must have been so confused for a few days where Jim, I guess maybe Texaco is going to make an electric car, no, I knew that, I knew that, yeah, I knew that wasn't going to happen and I think they're starting, this is this.
I don't think we even need to say anything else and you can probably put the pieces of the puzzle together, but let's move on here, so Jack short, don't behave this way, they sell high, buy low and keep the difference. i.e. if they are in this to make money these shorts continue to double and increase their sales as Tesla is successful at this point you have a company that is increasing its production at an exponential rate and its revenue at an exponential rate you have the best. product in the entire market with unlimited demand in a market that it completely owns, just 0.46% is the ultimate growth stock in the ultimate market with unlimited room to grow.
Oh, and did I mention that they can raise any amount of money they want at any time with three days' notice, their last three capital calls took less than a week and were oversubscribed in all cases they raised more money than they asked for, so we have exponential growth in an unlimited market with unlimited capital ready and waiting to invest. What kind of bets against that? Well, the concept of them being a implies the assumption that they are trying to make money. First of all, what if they had no desire to make money? So factor in the more than $2 billion a day in oil revenue and then think about this penny Tesla that's basically ready to explode with the best.
I mean, it's the best product. the market in terms of Vivi has all these things here and why the shorts are so short on it. We already talked about the billions of dollars that oil makes every day from their oil business and they know that every day they can delay Tesla is literally worth billions and billions of dollars so it seems like the shorts are specifically targeted to Tesla to drive down the stock value and make it harder for them to compete properly, and don't we have some kind of government body? that would ensure this kind of thing doesn't happen, yes, yes, fine, collect the Securities and Exchange Commission, but as Jack says, apparently the SEC can be bought and while they investigate, fulminate and litigate Musk's tweeting style, what is beginning to be seen.
The largest stock market manipulation in the history of the United States of America is occurring as we speak. You may not know it in a word. No, it is not possible that a stock market scam of this proportion could be occurring without the express and direct participation of the Securities and Exchange Commission charged by law with preventing outright corruption from absolutely corrupting, to misquote a phrase, this level of stock manipulation, coupled with a funded and targeted disinformation campaign, could possibly lead Tesla to failure and in five point five billion dollars. per day simply delaying the inevitable is very profitable with a total expenditure of 10 billion dollars, the payback period is less than two days because basically two short Teslas, this amount only costs ten billion dollars, right, which for oil is nothing, it's more money than you.
You can think and yet it is enough to say yes, very short, we cut as much as we can exactly and that is the scary thing. This is so. This is the conspiracy here that they are trying to prevent Tesla from being successful. They are trying to push. Tesla to failure only through these means and not because of any problem with, as you know, marking the markets, it's not that the market doesn't like Tesla, right? It's not that they could invest 10 billion dollars in manufacturing a better car than not. That's what they're trying to do, they're trying to get more oil out of the ground, so they have to redirect, somehow they have to slow this down so they can get more oil out of the ground, so Jack continues.
I still see articles explaining why batteries generate more emissions than gasoline cars, all funded by industry groups and advocates that one in two or sometimes three leads directly to oil companies, so Paid disinformation is an absolutely established mode of operation for these companies. Because I would do? They are hesitant to manipulate stocks to foment fear, uncertainty and doubt, and who in the auto industry would call them out? GM and Texaco conspired, there were no questions or unforeseen events. It was a conspiracy to defeat the concept of electric cars, as he points out. This is exactly something that happened in recent history, it's happening again, right? that's what you're trying to say when you say it wouldn't happen you're thinking what kind of world we live in where this could happen so I wish it wouldn't happen well and it's sad but it's happening and that's a lot of money and when you get that much money A lot of things happen that you wish didn't happen unfortunately and if you study history you'll see that it happens over and over and over again, it's just happening now and it's not history, it's real now, so it's hard for you to realize that, oh, We're in the story right now, yeah, let's wrap it up.
Jack says the next four point three trillion dollars in the combined annual auto and oil market is a paltry ten billion. dollars in spending, not investments and a 32 percent short interest suddenly makes all the sense in the world it seems like the oil companies and automakers have no chance of losing this they actually have no way of winning it one man does totally surrounded and outnumbered and I surpassed Elon Musk and I think that's the perfect summary. I mean, it's really true that you have this guy and I know I don't want to make it seem like it's just him, you have everyone working at Tesla and they're working hard, yeah, I won't, so you have Tesla basically completely changing a industry, disrupting it completely, okay and we're just seeing the beginning, but it's so clear, it's so absolutely, unquestionably clear that this is the direction the auto industry needs to take right now.
You know, as more and more people see the Model 3, the only thing that's really holding it back is exposure, so a lot of people don't have the slightest idea what Tesla is, who Tesla is. and if you've heard of this, you've heard enough FUD to make you think I don't want this. I'm going to continue living my life the way I've been living it. I'm going to keep going to the gas station and keep doing oil changes and let them know that I have to pay extra money because they have to remove the water pump for whatever reason to fix the timing belt.
That's a very good point. We ran into a guy. The other day when we were filming something, someone said hello, it's just one of those new Teslas, I heard they're really confusing and hard to drive, it was like where did you hear that? It is the simplest car in the world to drive. world, you don't sit in it, hit the brake, put it in Drive and drive it, this guy then proceeded to get into a car that, if he was in the wrong gear and started it, would just start flying backwards, right ? So that's something that could happen in his car, it can't happen in mine.
I can stop somewhere in my car. I forgot to press Park. I forgot to put it in Park. I can jump out of the car. The car will automatically know to do it. put him in the park, he won't leave, he won't hold me against the wall until I die, he won't do any of that, I can leave him at my house, I could take him into the living room and play a game. I do it because I can do that and everyone in my house won't die from carbon monoxide poisoning. The opposite is not true.
The car that the man just got into and drove off with is the simplest car in the world and you yourself might be thinking. Right now, well, the car companies should watch his show. Zack and Jesse know it's over for them, so why are they still doing this short selling of stocks? But here's the thing, as Jack pointed out, Tesla has 0.46 percent of the market and to get to a tipping point in most markets you have to get to about two and a half percent, so from his perspective, you see this is going well, we're still good folks, it's halftime and we've kept the other team to a pretty limited number. of points, if we can get back there in the second half of this game, we can get this out, that's what they hope, they hope that we don't get to the tipping point where it becomes a familiar thing where everyone just bought an Eevee, like this that's where you guys come in mmm we can make this happen we're so close all we have to do now is get butts and seats spread the word we need to make sure that message gets out because there's a lot of fun to be had.
There is so much misinformation out there that people don't even allow themselves to experiment. The people we run into have a lot of fun in their head and say, "I don't think I want to get into this." You are from a different planet, it really is as if you have met someone from the Spanish Inquisition. As soon as you mention this electric car thing, people get discouraged and it's sad because it would be great to have people excited about this. and there are some people who can get very excited about this very quickly and those people are generally young and extremely open minded people, just know that's a great point if you have problems with your friend or family group, find the 8 year old in the group and have them check the car because then they will receive it right away and then of course they won't test drive it with you but they will ride with you and then they will spread out. that enthusiasm with everyone around them because they understand it immediately and you don't have to untangle them, wash them well of all the things that you do have to brainwash people about a car with an internal combustion engine.
There is so much brainwashing that happens throughout life. from when he was a kid to the point where he says yes and you have to make sure you check the oil and fluids and take it in for maintenance. The other day I heard a story about a girl who was driving with someone in a car with an internal combustion engine and she had only driven in V before and when this car with an internal combustion engine was shifting to a higher gear and making noise, He turned to the driver and said, "My God, is there something wrong?" with your car, that's what we need, we need that to become the new reality where if you hear something like that in a car, you think something's wrong and there was a period of time when we had just taken our trip around road in the Tesla Model The car wasn't running right and the funny thing is it was running fine, it wasn't running great, it was running fine, it's a very different world and we really want you to help people experience it and hey, I know not all of you have a car. electric out there and I would really recommend that if you've been listening to us this whole time and you clearly understand what's going on, you get into an electric car and this is the good news I have some really good news people who drive electric cars in.
They are generally some of the nicest people in the world right now. I don't know if it will be true in the future. Okay, but something in the world has happened and we have reached this point. All the nicest people in the world drive electric cars. I remember being a kid and my mom saying, "Okay, if we split up at the zoo today, we'll find a woman with a baby stroller or a dog and we'll go." to her, don't go with anyone else unless it's a police officer, that's what they told me because that would get me to a safe place.
I'll let you know now, if you see anyone in an electric car, it's them. Really very kind, they are a good person. I thought you would say if you get lost, if you get lost, yeah, find someone, your car, yeah, and I want to say hi to Jack, you know, because I appreciate all the work that you do. What I've done over the years is to educate people on how they can convert cars to V and get solar power and all that cool stuff, and then follow up by writing a fantastic blog post. I mean, you should go to their website.
He has blog posts on pretty much everything you can. Imagine doing with the really cool stuff from V. Thank you so much Jack for sharing this with us and I think your conspiracy is true. I don't think you're crazy or crazy. This is actually what is happening. We need to wake up. To achieve this, we must make our government respond to what it should be doing because it is outrageous that we have an SEC that allows this to happen when we all know, if we look at the facts, that that is what is happening and even beyond that, we shouldto have a government that views climate change as a crisis, right?
It really is, it's a climate crisis, it's the biggest problem we're facing as a global society right now and I don't think we're going to do it. I have faced such an existential threat since the Cold War. I think that was probably the first time that humanity said, "Oh, hey, you know, all of us could die tomorrow," and I think today we're looking around and being like you know. What we could all die slowly one by one basically from the equator and like hmm but there aren't enough people who believe it, there aren't enough people who don't agree with it and what happened so slowly happened so slowly and there's this, I guess like a lot of money that really doesn't want you to believe that who will fund the studios to basically fly at you and who will run ads selling the very thing that will destroy us all.
I don't know if it's almost like a conspiracy. Thank you very much for joining us in this in depth. See you next week. Now you know.
