bread

was a place I maybe hadn't been to in five or six years, but the good news is I did a lot of research on the website with Brad and there are some good options, for the most part they use real food, no preservatives aggressive chemicals. fake stuff like a chick-fil-a did the other week, so let's go in there, order almost the entire

You're kidding, so I want to start with something that people love here: it's broccoli cheddar soup. Check this out Brad, I haven't had broccoli and cheddar in maybe 10 or 15 years, let's try it. It's good, super rich and creamy, but. The devil is in the details. I got my notes as I always do for my fast food reviews and the good news is that most of the things at Panera are pretty solid. I was surprised that it doesn't have many preservatives. Fake ingredients. there is no food coloring, but broccoli cheddar soup is not one of the soups that I would

actually

buy because if you look at the main ingredient here, they are not using real cheddar cheese to make the cheese sauce in the soup, actually They are using pasteurized. processed cheddar cheese food that's the same thing as velveeta that stuff I used to sprinkle on crackers when I was a kid and right in my mouth that my mom used to buy me they're not even using that at least we're on the mac and cheese which I'll get to in one second, they're using real cheddar cheese, that's a bit of a bummer, and if you look at the other ingredients, those aren't that bad, you have the normal stuff you'd see in a soup they have heavy cream to make it super creamy unfortunately they're using yeast extract and you'll see that almost every dish has something called yeast extract.

More Interesting Facts About,

It's a more elegant or safer word for msg. The yeast extract's only job is to get your taste buds excited - it sends a signal to the old brain and says this is good, I want more. I see that many times in the supermarket it is a way of cheating to make people like the food more, but it is very common in fast food and there is also a little canola oil but it is less than two percent , so it's GMO canola oil but it's not terrible and honestly the taste is good but you wouldn't get it because they don't use real cheese like they do in macaroni and cheese so what would you get?

Actually, look at this bread. This is by far the healthiest soup at Panera. This is the 10 vegetable soup, which is very exciting. I have to get a clean spoon. I don't want to be contaminated by that processed cheese product that is easily found there. The most nutrient dense quality soup here the question is how does it taste, oh it's nice, it has a minestrone vibe and the good thing about it is it has ten vegetables, carrots, celery, tomatoes, onion, unfortunately it has yeast extract. but everyone has them, so we'll live with that, but after that, the fire roasted tomatoes give you that nice smoky flavor, a little bit of corn, it's got soy sauce to give it that fermented mushroom flavor, but check this out , has actually germinated. sprouted brown rice red fife seeds and chicha chia, which I have never seen in a fast casual place, the good thing about sprouted grains and in this case, red fife and brown rice, is that they soak or germinate for about 24 to 48 hours when you do that, they're easy for your stomach to digest, but they also unlock more nutrients for your body to get.

I can't believe they are doing that, that's amazing and chia seeds have a good amount of protein. and iron in there, it's really great and the macros are much lower than most others, so by far 10 vegetable soups win in terms of flavor, they are great nutrients, pretty solid and the ingredients are not at all evil. Now we will move on to the other one. side of the spectrum the macaroni and cheese, what will I say, the ingredients for the macaroni and cheese are pretty solid, damn, it's good macaroni and cheese and if you look at the ingredients, it obviously has the enriched macaroni product which is just macaroni pasta.
White flour. The same thing you get at the store, it's the kind of thing we avoid in our tours and cooking videos, but for macaroni and cheese it's normal, but unlike broccoli and cheddar soup, they actually use real cheddar cheese , not processed. fake cheese product which is fantastic and besides that, to be honest, I don't see many other ingredients that are terrible, plus there's a little bit of soy oil in here. You will notice that fast food restaurants use things that we never use for cooking. at home soybean oil maybe some people fry that's why the reason they do it I'll talk about it in the toppings it's cheap what does Mr.
Wonderful Brad say about shark tank money? It's super cheap and it's a neutral oil, we'll talk. about that with the salad dressing, so macaroni and cheese isn't as toxic as I thought and to be honest, it's not even toxic, it's just not good for you, but the ingredients are pretty solid so it's okay, let's change the broccoli cheddar cheese here turkey chili look at this ground turkey chili I see tomatoes there I see corn and there's something really cool that I'll tell you about in a second there's some chickpeas here the flavor is a little weak to be honest it doesn't really have that one proper seasoning that a turkey chili should have, but if I look at my notes here, Bobby Parrish, uh, investigative reporter, lives on the scene here, I love the fact that they're using dark ground turkey, which I always I talk in my turkey recipes, get dark meat.
Because white meat dries out so easily, it's 99 percent beef, one percent fat, ground turkey thigh or dark meat, it's about 93 percent beef and seven percent fat, much more fat, which is better, plus you're kidding, chickpeas, tomatoes, tomato paste, onions, carrots. The only really bad ingredient, I see yeast extract but they all have it and they are again cooking in soy oil instead of olive or avocado oil because it's money but overall not bad they just need a little seasoning, I would say a little more. Salt, ancho chili powder, maybe a little smoked paprika. I'll talk to the chef there.
I'm sure he wants my opinion, right, Brad, so it's not terrible. But let's get to the sandwiches, so okay. Brad says the chipotle avocado chicken is melting now. The bread doesn't look as good as it does on the website, to be fair it looks a bit sloppy. The poppy is a little sloppy like on Seinfeld. It's a lot of bread. Wow, that's a good sandwich. A little dry. A little skimpy on that chipotle mayo, so the focaccia bread is obviously made with a rich flour, but what I don't love is that they use an olive oil blend.
They use best-in-class extra virgin olive oil in the focaccia cut with highly processed, highly inflammatory GMO canola oil. Once again, as manuscalco would say, why would you do that? It's because the money if you use pure extra virgin olive oil is more expensive if you cut it with canola oil, canola has a neutral flavor and you still taste that extra virgin fruity or herbaceous flavor, but it saves you a lot more money. I don't like that at all, but they are using some of those sprouted grain blends like they did in my soup in the bread.
They also have sprouted rye with oats, so at least they nailed it. For them I don't like the fact that the chipotle sauce I just complained about Did they even put chipotle sauce in here? It is as scarce as possible. Come on, I don't like the fact that chipotle sauce is based on boom. soy oil as the sauce when we do the Chick-fil-a review and then instead of using sour cream they use natural sour cream flavor, it really is like that, this one is a little weak, I probably wouldn't buy that one, but what? What about this one?
This bread is the toasted frontega chicken sandwich, once again very hastily prepared here. I don't know, maybe at the end of lunch. Don't know. Look, I've got the short end of the stick here. There's a lot. bread I wish they offered a keto or low carb option okay I think if it was more pressed they would have more sauce it would be better but this one here once again at least has the sprouted grains that's so funny oh. Oh my goodness, look we have free entertainment in the video. I'm a big follower. I appreciate the entertainment.
Is incredible. Yes, thanks to you too. You didn't interrupt anything, don't worry, this is probably the best presentation we have today. the napa chicken salad sandwich that looks good brad now I eat these sloppy sandwiches here I'm going to take out one of the buns mmm that's good juicy premium similar ingredients to the other sandwiches so all the sandwiches They have good ingredients, how does it taste flavor-wise. I and to be honest, I love chicken salad. Napa is where it's at. We have to try the flatbread pizza before it goes bad. I hear they are incredibly popular.
This is the basic cheese flatbread. I didn't want to put anything in there like pepperoni. or stuff like that, I wanted the og, it got a little cold, right, it's my fault not theirs, the bread is kind of like that focaccia style and to be honest the ingredients aren't terrible, the flour is obviously flour wheat, it is not whole wheat flour. It's got that oil mix with canola oil too, but there's not a ton of nasty ingredients when you get to the other ones, like the four cheeses, they're using some nasty cheese sauces. I would go with the og, this one isn't terrible and the flavor is pretty decent, this is what I call one of the better options here at Panera Bread, this is the Baja bowl that looks good, isn't it Brad?
This looks good, it looks fresh, I have to try it and then I will do it. I'll tell you about the very fresh ingredients, I'm going to be the judge of chopped food for a second, we have some seasoning problems, the quinoa and brown rice are not seasoned with salt or any type of acid, but I'm going to give them a pass because the Baja bowl is your option. panera cleaner, what's so good about it? The base, the right time to lift it, the base is made with brown rice and complex carbohydrates from quinoa, unlike the flour and wheat in flatbread and sandwiches, cooked brown rice. with extra virgin olive oil Red and white quinoa cooked with incredible extra virgin olive oil plus extra virgin olive oil in the dressing black beans, which is a complex carbohydrate, they put a little sugar here touch a canola oil below each once you look at the ingredients further down there's less, it always goes predominantly to less ingredients and then a little bit of soybean oil, but this right here, the sour cream is actually plain Greek yogurt with whole milk, it's not even sour cream and Greek yogurt strains more, so it has less natural sugar or less lactose, more protein, and whole milk is better for you because it has more omega-3 fatty acids plus a little sugar and a little canola oil and A bit of seasoning issues, but I'll get to that. for them once again about that bread that's great, you can put some chicken on top, that's the food you want wow, that's absolutely fantastic.
Last but not least, check this out brett, this is the strawberry and poppy seed salad and I call it the best salad. on the menu as far as ingredients before we get into that, although I have to try it, they are Florida Loud Mufflers, you know, the dressing is a little sweet, but the reason I chose this one is so interesting that it is the only dressing that They have it on the menu. That's oil-free no, I'm not afraid of fat, I'm just trying to avoid processed oils with GMO inflammatory free radicals like canola oil and soybean oil, look at the ingredients, can anyone find any oils? ?
The dressing only has water, dried cane sugar, which I can taste concentrated orange juice, poppy seeds, stevia, the only oil is the pecans, they are roasted in the most toxic of all cottonseed oils, it is the most processed highly inflammatory GMO oil out there, but it's literally a skosh of it, besides that there's nothing else now. It is high in natural sugar due to the fruit, but the dressing has some sugar as well. That said, the other salads aren't terrible, they just have more of those processed oils that we're trying to avoid if you stop here in the morning and try to get your bagel or your pastry and your coffee.
I checked the menu. We take out a magnifying glass to find any type of bakery item orsweet that was

healthy

. They didn't understand the one thing that really piqued my interest. This is super super incomplete in my opinion it was the flat bun with sprouted grains. I tried to order it but they are out of stock. It's late in the afternoon. What are you going to do? See you, have a balanced day. We always talk about deception. Actually, it's loaded. with enriched flour, white whole wheat flour and then at the end the last ingredients are sprouted spelled, sprouted rye, sprouted oats, I think it's just something garnished on top that's not a flat sprouted bagel, it's just a bagel with a little bit of sprouted grains on top that's fake so to be honest if you compare it to the plain bagel the ingredients are very similar so I wouldn't get any of those and if you get the plain cream cheese that just It has two grams of natural sugar, if you get the honey nut cream cheese it has eight grams of sugar, six of which are added, so breakfast is a little difficult here, okay, that's it.
Don't worry, we're not going to waste this food, we'll package it up and take it to some homeless people on the corner with some drinks and everything, where do we go next, we made chipotle, which was really there, that's chipotle, we've made it here, we've done Chick-fil-a, let us know what the next step will be. I'm thinking about McDonald's and I'm saying, if you have to go there, what are your best options, but let us know. but that's it for Bradley and I, we leave you as we always do the hashtag keep cooking, crazy, love and peace later.
