Dodge Charger r/t many of you subscribers, Rady ride fans have asked me specifically. I brought you the scat pack scat pack wide body Hellcat the Hellcat Daytona why body, this is the first time I can get my hands on an r/t, these our T's are actually very difficult to track and I thought that since one was recently traded, why not do it here in Walker?

But before we get into this particular one, let's talk about what the

dodge

charger

is. The

charger

has been around since the 1960s, 1966 to be exact, it's been that

muscle

car with a lot of v8 styling, a lot of that

muscle

car performance now, the current version of the charger is a four door, if you go back to the original, It was a two-door and many people have wondered why Dodge made a four-door Charger. It really boils down to they didn't want a primary competitor against the Challenger. One thing is for sure with this Dodge Charger r/t.

It's kind of falling into the sweet spot of having an ideal daily driver but also some v8 muscle car performance under the hood of that 5.7 liter, so let's continue diving into this Dodge Charger in f/8 green and really see if it's Florida's muscle car. perfect for you from the beginning style now whether you are looking at this 2018 2019 or 2020 guess what they look identical on this r/t trim f/8 green I really love the color it shines like an emerald you drop it you are going to make your projector beam style headlights, the LED daytime running lights really love the shape of the housing in the way it integrates into the grille that folds out and on the r/t trim it has fog lights in each corner that will help illuminate the road as you are pushing it down the road crossing the grid.

I think the charger really shows some nice aggression on the front end of the business. you have your floor, you drop the same black floor and just watch how the bottom of the front fascia extends very, very. Nice but tough muscular look from the front now when we get up on the hood, even with the RT trim, you'll get this nice and functional hood scoop. I love the body line. I love the racing section. It really screams what that generation was all about. Now, obviously, we're on version 2.0 of the Muscle Car, but we still have 5.7 liters and plenty of horsepower.

When we come to the bend, you'll have these metallic gray wheels. Very nice wheels. I love the design and it really works very well with the green f/8. it's a 20 inch wheel, so you're definitely not going to downsize the wheel to a 45. On the sidewall of the 45 series width, you can see that you have fully vented rotors and a very large caliper there, but I think that really the way the car sits, it just has a nice purposeful stance and RT, what does it mean? Road on track, that's been an option since the original muscle car days.
Placing it on the fender, we have a nice Hemi badge, black Hemi under the hood, now remember it's not. a true Hemi in the sense that it has hemispherical heads like the originals, but they use it for marketing and there is a lot of weight behind that word Hemi. Really cool lines with the four doors, one of my favorite parts about looking at the side of a Charger. It's the beautiful slit they put in, which starts at the driver's side door and then goes all the way to the passenger door, really gives it that extra flat black look around the window treatment.
It has color matching mirror caps, f/8 green of course, like a nice beautifully colored shark fin antenna that reaches into the rear passenger door windows and you can see how well it extends even in the lower part below the side sill. I don't know if you notice, but it actually widens towards the front then goes in and then widens towards the rear, remember this is rear wheel drive and it has two 45's at all four corners, so even though it is rear wheel drive, Its rear tires are not wider than the front ones at least in the RT trim now, when we get to the rear, a nice and elegant color that matches the trunk lid spoiler.
I really love the way the spoiler design extends beyond the actual trunk opening and then I think when it comes to identifying one of these vehicles, no one does it better than Esquiva with these all-LED taillights at night , you can see this car from a million miles away and know it's a charger. You got your r/t badge. Remember where Road & Track means. Nice, simple and clean bumper design. It unfolds the same story. below and you'll have those two cut oval exhausts that will give us that v8 Rumble, let's go ahead and pop the hood and see what powers this r/t.
Alright guys, we've got the hood up, obviously, you've got two sets of hydraulic struts underneath. That hood is an engine cover that has the Hemi badge on it. I like the way it has the gray in the center. If it didn't have that great color, it looked too much like a trash can lid, but like you say, 5.7 liter v8, what? Are we talking about power? You're looking at 370 horsepower, 395 pound-feet of torque. Everything is sent through that smooth-shifting ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. The car weighs about 4,000 264 lbs MPG, you'll get 16 in the city, 25 up. on the highway and 0 to 60 and in a quick 5.7 seconds, one of the things about Charger that is like a double edged sword is that I love how they have many different versions of the car for budgets and styles of cars. many different people's lives, but that's There's also another problem: there are so many different guys that could drive this r/t and someone could mistake it for a Hellcat, but as we go along, let's fire up this Hemi and see how it sounds, okay guys, we're in the 2018.
Dodge Charger r/t now this car is so fresh on the market that they don't have a price yet, but I'll put the link to the Walker Ford site in the description so you can see it once it's available, but let's see what you get. For the

money

, whatever the price, there is a lot of dark material on the door panels, but I like the white contrast stitching, especially on the nice angle, cut your soft armrest with the same stitch, do some edge work silver and then You'll notice you have the optional Beats by Dre sound system and a nice pocket down there for a combination of foot-long luncheon meats from the subway and a Coke bottle to wash it all down.
Soft material on the... you have your charger. The flagship has that elephant skin texture but you know what RT, if you want to get a little better finish you can go for premium interiors with the scat packages and all, the good news is you'll get that amazing 8.4 inch UConnect which works. system ventilated seats heated seats heated steering wheel apple carplay Android automatic navigation very easy to use very easy to use reacts with one click quick reaction I love the trim around it it doesn't try to be carbon fiber it looks very powerful if you have the button start/stop I don't want to touch the screen, you have the radio controls, you have the air conditioning controls, a nice little pocket here for some racing Twinkies, you have your 12 volts here, this little area will be two selections that you could select in yellow. cake after you're done with the Twinkies in your mouth, this will control that eight speed, that ZF 8 speed automatic transmission key, here's your Dodge key, very simple, very clean, you have remote start, which is nice . touch and what I also like is that you have this lid over the two cup holders, super soft armrest with the stitch work, you open it, look at this, everyone wants a little removable party tray with felt line, there you can put your MMS in there , the colors are not going to be erased inside, you have two more USBs, an auxiliary connector, a 12 volt one and a smooth one for even more Twinkies seats.
I love the combination you have with Alcantara, the leather stitching works very well. The large seats are very, very comfortable, with power assistance for both passengers. and the driver and then also a lot of headroom here, but why don't you come to the business side? I'm going to show you behind the wheel of this Dodge Charger r/t okay guys business time like I was saying they have power assist. For both passenger and driver, make the seat fit, nice really comfortable seat, with steering, great thickness, has the Dodge logo back there, dating back to 1901, with the Dodge Brothers, that finish shiny silver, now has paddles, my only Zonk.
The reason is that they are small. I know for some people that might be perfect because you usually have small things in your hands, but I like that the panel is a little bigger, especially if maybe you're drag racing with someone, you want to make sure you hit them every time without having to concentrate on it; although it is clear and concise, you have the nice retro style gauges, the analog technology speedometer and in the center you have a lot of different screens that you can mention that makes life so easy, I especially love the auxiliary gauges, it is really great to have all that information overall, great seating environment, let's take a look at the back seat and say your passengers will like this charger, r/t, okay guys. time in the back seat, the wonderful thing is that in the front there is tons of space, your passengers back here will really enjoy your burnouts because there is tons of space for them to experience them now that you have pockets on both sides, the nice thing is that you could put all kinds of payday bars back there, maybe a hundred thousand dollars, would vent you, assuming the heated seats have a/c vents and two USBs, so they'll cover you very well, especially with this r/t charger , but I really think there's a ton of heads Headroom back here, flip this thing down, gentle touch, flip it up, put your peanut M&Ms in there, two cup holders and the wonderful thing is you're not going to crush Your nuts, no man wants his nuts crushed, turn it back, come on.
Go ahead and check out the trunk space and see how usable this Charger R/T really is. Alright guys, time to check the trunk space. We press the button that appears very well. You have a very large opening. Here is your sub wolf or your dr. dre beats beats by dre sub woofer you can fold down the 60/40 split seats, plenty of room to have some drag tires, a jack, some jack stands because you know what, yeah you might not have 700 horsepower because it's not one hell of a cap, but still I have a lot of horsepower and you could have a ton of fun with this car on the race track, but if you're ready, I'm ready, let's take this charger r/t out for an even more spin because we're in the 2018 Dodge Charger. r/t, is this car likely to get up and go?
Ronald ZF drops here we go so like I said there's a lot more driveable power with this and that's what will make it a better daily driver but you also have the power of the v8 for where you can go and enjoy a test tonight at your local race track or actually drag racing and some kind of competitive format, plus you have the ability of four doors and whoever takes care of this particular one, but almost thirty thousand miles the wear and tear is minimal To be honest, I'm Pretty impressed with how this one has aged with this kind of mileage.
The design of a Dodge Charger makes total sense. The 8.4-inch UConnect system is so easy to use which makes it even better. Do you get ventilated seats, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, Apple Carplay, Android Auto and navigation all in one? I love looking over the hood and seeing that huge bulge on the hood because you know there's that air intake on the other end. Visibility to the rear is nice and they drive very, very smoothly. If you notice this thing doesn't smoke, it doesn't make any strange noises, it follows the path perfectly, so this is like a double, you can see how.
Does a charger get old after a couple of years of being driven and then also, like I said, being the artistic model? It's not a package of excrement. Definitely not a Hellcat. Is it still enough? You need more? I don't know, that's really up to you. But I think, especially for the price, all this adds a lot. Hey guys, driving the charger r/t on the highway. I'm Tanya, you feel like you're in a living room. These seats are very, very comfortable. You're worried about any kind of booster pain, but don't worry because there aren't many boosters that can hurt you or hold you back, but that's not the purpose of this particular vehicle.
Driving on the highway has super smooth visibility and I really think you could drive this for hundreds of miles, obviously you'll have to stop for gas but you drive itall day and you still feel fresh as a daisy when you arrive at your destination, no matter where it is, and you also have that great shipper name, so a lot of history dating back to 1966, especially an r/t trip, that trend has existed since the beginning. Road and Trek. Hi everyone, going into this left turn, there's a lot of steering feedback here, which is surprising. You know this is It's not really a super performance oriented version, you still get good feedback and I like the thickness of the wheel, the paddles, like I said, are a little bit smaller, but you know, leave it in automatic mode, the ZF 8 speed shakes well. super smooth, let's see how the throttle handling goes, here we go, adapts to the turn, with the brakes, good turn, look at this very cute, super smooth, accelerate, little Timmy comes from behind, there you go, the fun car, That's what these cars do.
They're about the man, it's like, there's a lot of different ways you can look at what's coming from Dodge, but for sure in the fun excitement they definitely check all the boxes, they have the classic names and that classic car feel and look, It doesn't matter. what trim level you go with, but I'm pleasantly surprised with this RT. I'm glad I was able to locate one. Let's see how we do on this left turn, here on the brakes, look at this super nice, nice, smooth turn, coming back. Wow, here we go, let the bag come out a little cool.
V8 sound, naturally aspirated horsepower and ZF gears. Alright, the ZF 8-speed automatic transmission shifts very, very well, so you'll definitely be happy with that, but let's move on, get back to work or Ford and finish this, so I'll see you in a split second, very alright guys, it's been another wonderful day here at Walker Ford. It's nice to see someone trading in a pristine example of a Dodge Charger r/t that I could bring them. I definitely have to thank Frank Walker blessed and Walker tracyben G Mark.
