iPhone 12 Review: Just Got Real!

Hi, what's going on here with mkbhd? This is the iPhone 12. I feel like we've all seen an iPhone before. At this point, this is a pretty familiar iPhone. We've seen the rounded corners, the notch, and the Lightning port, but there are a couple of key changes this year that are firsts for the iPhone, so I've been using this iPhone 12 for a while since my impressions video and it's my iPhone favorite mainly because of this design, but if you are considering purchasing one, there are a few things. You should know that now I'm going to make a separate video about the pro in this sweet blue color.

I think it's the best color, but these two phones are very similar, the exact same size, like a case that works for one and works for the other. cameras almost same screen same battery same charge, but there are a couple of things that only apply to the pro and I'll go over them in that video, but let's start with the 12 with this new design. like holding this phone now, if you put a case on it, I guess a lot of that doesn't matter as much, you'll notice it less obviously, but equal. some cases are flattening their dimensions for the iPhone 12 to make it again easier to grip, harder to drop and speaking of dropping, all of these new iPhones come with something new on the front called a ceramic shield and this is basically this type of hardened specialty. glass with a glass structure inside and it's on the front of these phones over the screen and it's supposed to offer four times better drop protection, so basically shatter protection, which is great, but I usually don't care as much or plus scratch resistance. micro scratches that your phone accumulates over time and the thing about scratch resistance is that it is generally inversely proportional to break resistance, so if you think about it, the softer something is, the less likely it is to break. break, but it is easier to scratch it and vice versa.

The external hardware feature of the new iPhones is Magsafe and I think it has bigger implications for the future of the iPhone, but right now Magsafe is the new standard optional magnetic charging accessory on the back, right behind the Apple logo, so making it the number one Magsafe accessory.
