Internet’s WEIRDEST Paper Airplanes!

Let's go up there, fully grown up. Yes, great, in today's video we are testing and comparing 10 different

paper

airplanes

to find out which ones are really the best. We're here at Lowe's Extreme Air Sports in Provo, Utah, because we need a big open space to try out some

paper

airplanes

. Here's the basic idea: We searched online for the best paper airplane and found many different results. We want to try and do several of them and see which ones really give us the results we want. to see what flies the furthest, what glides the longest and what is most accurate.

I wanted to know what the best paper airplane is and of course that's a little subjective depending on what you want the airplane to do, but I can guarantee that's not the case. No, so I searched for the best paper airplane online and found a ton of different results, so the goal is that we don't take too many of those and test them all, so we'll make all those airplanes and test them against each other to see what comes up further, what flies longer, like it glides in the air longer, we will test the accuracy and a little bit out of curiosity, like how easy it is to make the plane according to the instructions, we didn't want to do this outside because first it's winter and we hate the cold and then the wind runs like the lines and then three we didn't want You know, chasing, chasing a paper airplane to that point won't be fun, but here there are traps that are trapped with us, we can't go that far, unless they have the HVAC system very high, which they shouldn't. have a wind problem.

I was thinking we should both do most of them to have the experience of doing them well, but this is what I wanted to try before we start following the instructions. It's wonderful, but the way I dubbed it in elementary school was, How did everyone have to go? How did you pass a note? How did you fold the paper airplane? Which direction did you hold it? Hopefully we don't nail anyone because this end actually has a kind of sharp spiral very quickly. look how it's done it's very cool maybe we need instructions maybe so this is on the Art of Manliness website and it says bulldog dart says this paper airplane is a fountain warm up if I may do this plane. you can be manly and still be a woman okay so we have seven planes that were somehow labeled as the best plane and then we have two more that I just wanted to try one is kind of a ring shaped plane and this one is a square which is a square which apparently was a world record plane at some point so no that no, let's try them with the nine that I have, my plan is that I will launch each one three times and see what is the longest distance I get and all of that, yeah, that's the farthest one and then if you know, place each plane if it's part of this distance and then we'll see which one. goes further and then as we do it, we'll try to pay attention to which ones stay in the air for a long time and we can also talk about which ones are easy or difficult to do, from where I'm at.

Standing, we probably have a hundred feet or so until there are some padded walls there and I don't think I've built any of the planes well enough to get that far, but it's a pretty long straight area, as long as they're We don't deviate. too much, we should be able to get decent distance from some of these, so let's try it apparently it's good for flying it in a straight line now that it's spiraled a bit while flying through the air. Don't know. which I know exactly how to prevent that from happening, by spinning more at a little bit longer distance, maybe a couple of inches, yeah, I'm going to try to throw it a little harder.

Okay, this looks like a pretty nice glider, lovely start, oh dear, okay, little adjustments, this is I'm not the same plaintiff, but what I did was I just grabbed it by the back and just folded it like this and that was the difference between the last release and this one, here we go again, okay, okay. a little better, definitely the best distance on that plane that I showed before, how I adjusted the edges a little bit up, this time I adjusted them a little bit down and I think it has given us a smoother ride and claims to be a world record, I think again it looks like a good glider, very front, heavy, flat, open wings, negative, well that hit me, I think when it says world record when it's actually about your loft time, then it just They would throw it up and then it would sail very well. down and it was sailing down in a big circle, so maybe that's just what you're supposed to do working behind negative eight feet, you know, we can't ignore that, that's worried about what's next, we have this.

It looks like a fighter plane, so these are the ones I don't think we'll survive because they're so pointy, but so far they're the ones that work the best. I'm going to try to give it a little more power. at launch this time and I hope it doesn't completely ruin it, it probably will, oh so soon, identical distance, we're not okay. I added staples to give it weight, so it could be a trap. The only thing you have to remember with these planes is that when you launch them you really want to spin a lot. to go in any kind of straight line, so I'm going to try to add a little bit of spin to it as I cast, all good, this is the plane I made, it's very standard, fold the corners down towards the middle, a second time you fold it. in the middle a third time and you end up with this dart shaped plane, it's not elegant, it doesn't float, but sometimes it goes very far, so that's our goal with this one, okay, it bounced hard off that carpet, yeah this has been smooth, I would have gone a lot further if I could clean that mat up a bit, then I should break the record with this, yes, best distance record, okay, so looking at the ones we made based on people's instructions, fighter plane above yeah it was the first hit to hit this mat this one ran pretty well and had a nice loft which was fun and then our other planes got different distances and again some of these world record planes are actually designed more to float than to go very far, so we come to the top three winners of the paper airplanes that were touted as the best paper airplane for distance.

We had this jet-shaped fighter plane, one that did a very good job. going quite far, we had him touch the bottom mat several times in terms of time. This one with the very complicated nose I thought had a really good glide.
