of this house, there were some original things About this, I'll describe it as we go from room to room, but I can't wait to get started and show you what we did, let's take this kitchen, you know, for me, walking into a house and a kitchen, be the first.

You see, that's not ideal, so I tried really hard to

design

this kitchen in such a way that the cabinets are almost like furniture. Stop, look at this, this style of door has a frame around it and yet this style of door here has absolutely no frame, it's a flat door panel and then this style here has a metal frame around it. You can mix and match your different door styles if you do it right. We teach you that kind of stuff in the design sessions too. Check out. On this wall, this used to be just a simple niche.

There was nothing here. So little cabinet space and so little counter space. Well, I arranged this wall here to be like my main wall. Have you ever seen a refrigerator door that has frosted glass? I don't think this one will and on the inside you'll see I took care of the problem of it not reaching the eight foot ceiling by putting a false panel on the door, but guess what, that's just a refrigerator, where is it? your ice cream, go, you say down here, don't stop now, if you want some Haagen-dazs, it's right down here, oh, or apparently, Ben and Jerry are fine, so what is this, well, I It looks like it's a pantry, it's that incredible. or what came to the center with these beautiful wood panels, frosted glass here and metal inside to create the most amazing breakfast bar ever in the mornings.

I imagine my customers might want to toast their bagel or put their croissant in the lovely microwave. pull down, they may want to grab a cup of coffee from their built-in coffee machine where they can prepare cappuccinos and espresso. You can also heat hot water and drink tea in these drawers. We went into great detail with all the arrangements. OMG I love this lamp, the globes that have settled glass so it has some organic element to it but look at these chairs in the lowest shape or size for a dining table it's amazing and of course we have lots of plants in this house, all fresh, you called me and said, can we go out? check out my favorite wine placemats, napkins, how easy it is to set the table and then right here this is a china cabinet that is meant to inspire that's what spices up anyone now taking a spice rack to a completely new level new, isn't it?

This is leather, but it is a special leather, it has been treated and does not stain. By the way, it's special. Remember when I made the beach house last year and showed them that they were perennials? fabric and you could pour red wine on it and you can just bleach it with the same fabric, yeah, trying to make it easier for our customers. This, oh my gosh, I love these three pendant lights. Know? When the clients bought this house, there was a house in front of them and then that house came on the market and you know what they did, they bought it and gave it away. It's a habitat for humanity and now you have a clear, direct view out to the ocean and I'm going to show you that I did this too, I think there used to be two sets of doors here and then a couple of windows and I'm telling you it was just a mess. of things that kept you from seeing all the way looking down, I know what's coming and it's the next thing I'm going to show you guys and when this backyard is done, it will be In our second reveal, I'm going to show you the backyard and I designed it too in my sketch program.

Oh my God, wait until you see what's going to happen out there. Well come on, I know you're mesmerized by the view, but there's so much more I have to show you come on things like oh, did I mention that not a single cavity was wasted in this place? Yeah, this house didn't look anything like this when I got here and I didn't have this. type of storage I found places where no one would think to look and guess what is behind hidden doors this is the most beautiful piece it is a live edge walnut piece it is called light walnut beautiful beautiful wood and I bought it to fit in this space and look at the shape of this this is 100 the way it grew the most beautiful painting ever created and guess where it's from it's from tulsa oklahoma it's a Richardson piece and it's an original painting that I was commissioned I love it so much that I saw it It was when I was in Tulsa and guess how cool it is that Tulsa is going to be my

base, you know what they have some good artists there, they want to see the master bedroom, I love it, so when you walk by this built-in and when I say walk through a belt and you've done it before you literally walk through the built-in to get to the master bedroom, but here's what I want you to know before we get into this.

I want to talk to you about architecture. the changes are fine, here is a before photo of what it looked like when the clients bought the house. It's a nice room. It used to have a vaulted ceiling that rose up. It used to be the front door. It was over here and when you walked in, this wall would shoot out. I went out and crossed that road. Take a look at the posts and it will give you an idea of ​​what a mistake is. There was nothing symmetrical about the world, there was nothing peaceful about it, it was just some kind of mess. how this room came together we created a cathedral ceiling by lowering the vault we pushed this closet to make this wall long the door comes here in the middle now and you have this great first impression with the beams the extra lighting the stone on the walls , who is outrageously beautiful, the client also wanted to have a vanity in her bedroom to put on makeup and a place where she could sit.

I said okay, we're going to create a built-in piece of furniture that surrounds you when you walk in we're going to use every inch of this this is covered in leather here's a mirror for her to put on her makeup we have hanging lights that go down it even has a magnifying mirror in case she be like me and need to look good Here is a beautiful piece of art now at the top. We have illuminated these small niches, we surround it with leather. This is paldeo wood and these Swarovski crystal glass sculptures. Incredible, and all lit, so if you want to see something great, the best thing is not only to lift the art but push television forward, do you know why they have to do that?

Because I put these niches here and there's a lot of depth that I have to work with for a hydraulic lift, so it's a very technological guy. of one thing and when they want to watch television at night they can do it from bed and then when they are done they can go like this and guess what no one has to know that that thing is even a television, the beginning of a material. starting from one edge and going to the other because actually this is part of the ladder that he had to overcome, but what did I do?

They had some artwork that they would like me to use if I could find a place this is one of them and they said you know you don't have to use it but if you can find a place great they told me over a year ago in all this time they didn't know I was they are going to use this piece in their master bedroom and you will see it with the color combination of the pillows, this beautiful soft sea foam green and aquamarine with a slight heather purple in the center, these are gray heather and you know what if you look closely at rug that is also heather gray and look closely there are little pieces of silver metal embedded inside this rug that makes this barn door very very personalized and very special anyone believe me , what you're about to come in is not there is no barn, it's an absolutely beautiful bathroom here, the client said, but we want to have a bidet and a toilet, and I said, you know, guys, there is a double toilet, so They want to see what that new shower looks like.

The door handles are great, what's not to like here, you can shave your legs easily, rinse them off with all that water that just drips off. Yes, you can take a rain shower up here. You can take a very strong regular shower. This even has like that deluge button where it goes all the way down and look, I turned everything around do you love this tile it's not tile it's stone I love this it's marble it's beautiful and it was the perfect stone to wrap around this and what's super? The nice thing about this is that it took two slabs and here you will see that there is a seam if you look closely and that is book matching.

You've heard me talk about the matching book stone that goes like this, that's what we didn't do in the center, but I went down so I could maximize the architectural work of art that I was creating for this stone, this is a white quartzite, now for those of you who don't know that marble is not a stone that you necessarily want to put in a kitchen or a bathroom because it is etched and stained very easily where quartzite is super hard and can withstand all types of stains and does not stick. Look at the bow, they match what's in the bedroom.

I'm sorry, were you waiting for me? He's doing my hair. There are mirrors everywhere in this house, so, look, I can see that someone was here and grabbed a jacket. Good. for him you will notice that even in this closet I am always working on that balance between light and dark, you will see here that the shelves that we chose are made of wood, of course, each one of them has the lights underneath, which is incredible. but the walls themselves are painted glass, frosted painted glass, even this bank of cabinets here we made and cut a custom rug just for this floor and then we looked down here, places for long, medium and short hanging shoes and the shape In fact, I collected some bags and shoes from customers and grouped them together to give her inspiration as she gets dressed in the morning, get her excited about the things she already owns, and just make getting dressed fun.

It's time to tackle this fun staircase, take a look at what it looked like before. Can you believe it had a vaulted ceiling and a very long, thin skylight? That was your view, come on man, we also added these wood panels, a beautiful hand carved stair railing. This is actually solid bronze, but there is an amazing lamp here. The lower floor of this house will be used primarily by guests. Upstairs, that's where the customers will be most of the time, but the guests will be down here. Now down here. It has its own family room, it even has a little wine bar which is great, so we have a night bar and then we have a day bar that serves coffee.

I'll show you in a second, but there are also a couple of guest rooms and a guest bathroom, so let's get the tour started, so if I were a guest here, I might come down and decide I want to pour myself a glass of wine. I would have my favorite bottle right there, camis, since my clientsthey are offering and I would do it. look in this drawer, pull out a wine opener, classy friend, I would probably use my Arvana aerator, these are not commercial, they are just things that I like or maybe I would like to have just a beer or champagne or even a bottle of water, but yeah outside I'm going to have one of these one of these bourbon or whatever like a proper bar look what I have here such a cute ice machine it's fun okay? and then I would come here and I could ask my friend who was here with me to join me and we could just sit here and Talk and drink our wine.

I really should have some here, don't you think? Just to make it seem legit, let's say I wanted to come here and I wanted to watch a movie and it would be lit up by the lights. I would have this palewood wall behind me with this beautiful commissioned painting. I love this painting and it looks so good down here and then here a beautiful console under our TV, but you know, the cool thing is that it's actually a rolling table. I can put a drink in here, but inside I have extra blankets, quilts and pillows so I can be super comfortable, even if I were as an extra guest, I could make a bed on this couch and believe me, that's how it would be. comfortable and if you are a member of the design sessions and you saw this session that was exclusive, I took you through this whole house and explained to you a lot of the architectural details that we have in the design sessions about this house and I said do you know why what did I add this and what did it do for this room?

This is another painting that came. out of tulsa oklahoma, check this out, it's actually a removable piece of furniture that can act as a nightstand.

There is also a small niche here with USB outputs that act as a nightstand. We have an amazing

interior

closet with storage and a beautiful queen size bed. fits inside this niche of roller shades that look gorgeous, they're so pretty, just a soft roman shade hanging here, it's a mock shade and look at this lamp hanging and spanning the space between the two closets, softening this area and giving it that . the guest in this room just has a kind of soft glow to the light and again everything is on a dimmer so it can be dimmed so low this rug is one of the pieces that I found and fell in love with and it actually produced the combination of colors for this room, look at this closely with the pillow toss, the artwork and even the artwork here, those things come together and look such a pretty chair.

Do you know that the upholstery on the bed here is the same as the upholstery? It's not just the detail of the leather strap that's beautiful. I wanted to make this room a little more masculine. Why, well, I like boys on the one hand, but secondly, because the other bedroom is definitely more feminine. Do you want to see it. Okay, come on, so this. It is for the more feminine, I think that if I stayed here at Cliff House, this is the room I would like to fall in love with. I mean what's not to love everything from this amazing floor rug to this gorgeous bed.

The bedding itself and then even the nightstands are like whitewashed driftwood that looks like white leather, literally leather drawers, a leather shelf at the bottom and then look at these handles, I mean that alone It's beautiful, you love them, these are reminiscent of what we have upstairs. with the lights in the living room and over the dining room table repeating a theme, this is hands down one of my favorite things I have ever bought for a project anywhere, they are glass, black metal and every one of them. It lights up, I mean, come on, if you look at each of these things, look at this, it looks like a bag of water, people say there should be a goldfish in there, I ask why is it just a bag of water, but it looks like a water bag well let me say this, the details of what I did here, why I did it and how I spaced these things, if you really want to know how to personalize your shelves or display cases, it's the kind of thing that I teach. in design sessions, I know I still beat a dead horse, not a dead horse, that's a terrible thing to say, why did they say that one of my favorite design principles that I try to use, particularly in a bedroom, Did you just see a guest bedroom to the north? two closets on each side total symmetry right, it just gives that bed a sense of peace look at this this bed is in the center a pair of matching nightstands and amazing globe lamps on each side look at this another beautiful door and inside a really small closet that I designed and created the cutest closet ever, even these hangers look super cute right?

I'm telling you, really when I say I want to be a guest here, I mean it, I want to be a guest here, so I've shown it. They are two bedrooms, but what do two guest bedrooms need? They need to share a bathroom. This is a dresser with a really beautiful top. It has a very concrete look, but the cabinets underneath are incredible and I'll just show you a couple of details. here, hairdryer, anyone with their own little onesies that fit exactly the thingamabobs. I've shown this wall before, in fact, even during the walk through the cliff house, through the parts where we were turning into kenwood and I talked about the four way book combination, that's what going to this wall here four stone slabs a fifth for that wall and I tell you what the flow is in this room it's amazing imagine the difference it made when I removed the exterior door here that led to an exterior door here and There was a big hallway here which means that there was nothing, it was just open and then we closed it and added this amazing laundry room.

First, you have an industrial-sized pull-out laundry cart on top, a drawer with all kinds of tools and things you need. I might need it, but here on this side, guess what I gave my client, the most amazing wrapping center ever, there are some baskets up there for extra things, but here this, oh of course, I love this washing machine and dryer, but this right here, this is something incredible. This is a removable clothesline, so you have a swimsuit or a blouse that you've washed, maybe this blouse and you don't want to put it in the dryer, you hate, you sit it here and it's holey and then it's. a special humidifying dryer up there, there's even a place where water can drip and honestly, your clothes will dry perfectly and it's very important when you're so close to the water because it gets very humid here and then in this side row. cabinets for the client plus supplies seals envelopes clips basically school supplies essentially and then down here one of my favorite things the clients needed new luggage so I had to buy them new luggage.

In fact, I told them that they needed new luggage that they didn't necessarily think about. They did, but that's what I thought and I designed this to be that easy deployment system, a really nice rimoa luggage, super lightweight and everything goes together and there's a place to store it and guess what's lit up under here, how cool is it that here's another area. The clients wanted me to use this piece of art which was from their last home and I think it's a lovely piece of art, it's very different from anything else in the house, it's very bright and bold and very different from everything else, and?

I did this when I ordered some other pieces here, these are from Leisure Dain. You've heard me talk about it before in the same color palette. You see the boldness, the color, the drama, but you also see that there is a connection and now it just shows. like this room is in this color palette, not that this piece of art stands out like it doesn't belong in anything else, but let me tell you until we get to this part where I can reveal this to you and show you what this amazing backyard looks like.
