them myself and I'm so excited to do it, in front of all of you wonderful people. The first day of my period is practically over and, as you know, I have a seven-day period. Most of my bleeding occurs on days one, two and three. Four and five are like mediums, and then six and seven are like spurts. I've been a tampon user since I was sixteen, so...

I'm so excited to try something new this month and get my claws into these panties. So I bought these three pairs of vintage panties. A hip hugger, a trainer and a thong. I have high hopes. I have heard good things. You're supposed to feel dry and comfortable and you don't have to worry about changing a tampon or pad. I'm very excited to try these guys out and see if Thinx is worth it, lives up to the hype, and if this is a magical product for the time that everyone should honestly own. It's really late at night so I'm about to go to bed, I'm going to use one of these guys to sleep in tonight, the stakes are high, I hope I don't ruin the sheets, that would be a very sad time to putting on my first pair of period panties!

I'm going to start with the hip hugger; the hip hugger costs thirty-four dollars and is supposed to hold about two tampons. I'm going to try to put them on with one hand here are the hip huggers from the front here are the hip huggers from the back, let's take these out the guys are fine, so they feel very soft; They feel a bit like swimsuits. I got the size medium. You can definitely tell there is a lining around the crotch area. It feels a little safer than I thought! On the outside they look very similar to swimsuit bottoms, but they are quite comfortable on the inside;

They feel mostly like normal underwear, they fit a little tight around my leg openings, but that makes sense because you want to keep everything contained. I'm a big fan of the fact that they have this kind of mesh on the top, the mesh waistband, it's super comfortable, it says it can fit two tampons, so I'm like, let's do it! I'm not leaving any towels behind because I like to live dangerously and I also ignore the fact that my sheets are extremely wrinkled. I'm about to go to bed for the night and I felt like something fell, I hope I can keep it.

My panties are fine, bye guys, guess what? There's nothing on the sheets! I feel pretty dry, I wouldn't say I feel 100 percent dry like the desert. I'm going to shower and put on the other pair, but I'm going to have to wash them because I'll have to wear them again later today. Or tonight I think my biggest problem will be that I will have to do a lot of laundry. Maybe I should have bought more underwear. So I just took off the binders I slept in and threw them in the laundry. While those boys are being washed, let's go get the sports pants.

The panties hold up very well. I will say, though, that I was sitting up and was so nervous that the underwear was moving around a little and leaking out the sides, but so far, so good (two hours later). I may have stumbled upon a disaster, um, I think I underestimated my flow and didn't get a chance to go home and my panties overflowed. I couldn't really tell I had filled them until I went to the bathroom. and I realized that the blood had soaked through to the other side. My biggest problem with these period panties is how expensive they are. So I actually found the really cool thong to wear during the last few days of my period, just to catch anything that was left. My least favorite pair were the sports panties which I think now I also have a complex against these because these are the ones that completely overwhelmed me. Thinx says that on a heavier day, maybe bring a tampon or a backup. I've been using tampons for so long, I know exactly how. I need a lot of tampons, but when you switch to completely new menstrual products that you don't know how much blood is in, the first few uses are kind of a problem-solver.

Overall, I think Thinx menstrual panties are a great complementary product to any menstrual product you are using. I love the thong and I think I will continue to wear it and they are quite safe and comfortable to sleep in, so I will probably wear the tights to sleep, plus I think investing in one or two of these period panties could be a big help. I don't think for me, I'll go out and buy more and make, my only menstrual product is these panties, but I think they have a place in the battle for Middle Earth and when I say Middle Earth, I mean my uterus.
